Provato questo bellissimo ristorante in centro a Genova. Molto consigliato da amici e colleghi. Prima di tutto l'accoglienza: calda solare e gentile, Simona e Mario ci hanno accolto e portato al tavolo facendoci sentire a nostro agio fin da subito. Il cibo: abbiamo preso una focaccia con il pesto che era paradisiaca croccante fuori morbida dentro condita con dei pomodorini e sopra della burrata e del pesto di loro produzione a seguire un antipasto a condividere, poker di capesante calde gratinate con tartufo e una crema di piselli, consigliatissime. In fine il primo, per me ravioli di carne con sugo al tuccu, e per lei spaghetti "mancini" con vongole veraci e broccolo, libidinose. Tutto accompagnato da un buon vino rosso consigliatoci in maniera impeccabile. Ritorneremo sicuramente per provare il resto dei piatti. Complimenti allo staff di cucina e di sala. Chiunque legga questa recensione Consiglio caldamente di provare questo ristorante!
Abbiamo cenato per capodanno. Ci sarà stato un fraintendimento per la prenotazione, ma ci hanno comunque reperito un tavolo, appartato che sinceramente ci ha gradito molto. Il cibo é stata un'esperienza culinaria grandiosa e spero di poter replicare al piú presto. Lo staff molto gentile! Grazie mille per l'ospitalità!
Capitati un po' per caso, scendendo da spianata castelletto abbiamo prenotato un posto per due con circa un'ora di anticipo (martedì sera) senza problemi. Il locale presenta una parte interna e una piccola zona all'aperto, ma non visibile dalla strada. Il servizio è stato molto gentile e cordiale, con tempi di attesa molto brevi (10 min circa): questa è una nota di merito considerando anche la complessità dei piatti serviti. Il menù presenta piatti di carattere, unendo creatività e tradizione. Rapporto qualità/prezzo molto elevato, sono circa 30/40 euro a persona per antipasto + primo + dolce + bevanda + coperto. Ristorante le rune, un locale incantevole a pochi passi dal centro di Genova, il locale presenta tante piccole sale a disposizione. Molto curato dal punto di vista del servizio, piccola pecca sul menu, presentato su un semplice foglio di carta volante con scritte molto ravvicinate; un po’ un peccato vista la splendida presentazione e cura dei piatti essendo il loro biglietto da visita lo avrei curato un po’ di più. Servizio impeccabile e molto curato, complimenti per tutti i piatti dai primi al dolce. Ristorante molto consigliato.
Visitare questo locale è stata un’esperienza davvero unica. Il proprietario ci ha accolto con molta cordialità, facendoci sentire come a casa. L’atmosfera calda e accogliente si sposa perfettamente con la qualità l dei piatti proposti. Ogni portata è un trionfo di sapori, frutto di combinazioni uniche e sapienti che esaltano ingredienti freschi e selezionati con cura. Un luogo dove non si va semplicemente a mangiare, ma a vivere un’esperienza culinaria indimenticabile, ritornerò definitivamente 😍
Ho avuto il piacere di pranzare in questo ristorante insieme a un’amica. Ero già a conoscenza da altri amici della bontà dei piatti di questo locale ma per fortuna sono riuscita a confermare anche io queste voci. Il menù comprende sia piatti tipici genovesi, preparati a regola d’arte, sia piatti rivisitati e creati dallo staff. Il servizio è impeccabile, i ragazzi e le ragazze che lavorano sono sempre sorridenti e pronti a consigliare i clienti più indecisi. L’atmosfera che si respira è la stessa di una buona famiglia, grazie soprattutto ad Alberto e Simona, si percepisce l’unione e il rispetto tra tutti i membri dello staff. La qualità degli ingredienti è alta e le porzioni non sono per nulla piccole. Personalmente ho assaggiato la focaccina con le cipolle, il risotto alla zucca con guanciale brasato e i ravioli col Tuccu. Ma, una menzione d’onore va fatta ai dolci. Abbiamo preso la tarte tatin di mele e il semifreddo al pandolce genovese, probabilmente uno dei dolci più buoni che abbia mangiato. Dopo la giornata di ieri mi aggiungo felicemente alla lunga lista di clienti soddisfatti.
Locale rustico ma molto accogliente. Il personale semplicemente fantastico, veloci, gentili e simpatici! La qualità del cibo ottima, i piatti erano molto ben lavorati e gustosi. Sicuramente da ritornare e provare altre pietanze! Consigliatissimo!
Abbiamo selezionato il ristorante dopo una scrupolosa ricerca fra diversi locali in zona, possiamo solo dire che la serata è andata ben oltre le nostre aspettative. La qualità delle materie prime è altissima così come i piatti proposti nel menù, il personale attento simpatico e vivace senza mai risultare troppo goliardico o invadente. L’assortimento di vino non è vasto ma ottimamente bilanciato per i piatti proposti, se dovessi ritornare a Genova, mi rifermerei senz’altro. Complimenti ancora sia alla cucina che al personale in sala. Super consigliato🌟
Siamo stati alle rune a cena il 1 febbraio per il nostro anniversario. È stata proprio una bella serata, piatti ottimi e una bella scelta anche per me che sono vegetariana. Abbiamo iniziato con una focaccia con bufala e basilico in due. Veramente fantastica. Buonissimi i ravioli cacio e pepe e poi Io ho preso i porcini fritti che non mangiavo da secoli. Buonissimi! Mio marito una tagliata (gli è piaciuta molto) Tutto ottimo anche il caffè. Il tutto condito da cortesia e sorrisi. Insomma che dire, una bella scoperta Consiglio Prenotate almeno una settimana prima!

Ormai sono diverse volte che torniamo dalle Rune, e ci torniamo per l'ottima cucina, i bei piatti, gli accostamenti che stupiscono, la grande attenzione per il cliente, la possibilità di mangiare senza problemi anche da celiaca. Ed ogni volta si viene accolti con così tanta simpatia, gentilezza ed ospitalità, che per forza viene voglia di tornare e - se ci si è già stati - di entrare già col sorriso. Bravi, ottimo lavoro!
Ottimo ristorante con titolari e personale molto accoglienti. I piatti sono belli da vedere e da gustare, molto curati. La posizione é buona per chi si muove in bus o a piedi perché si trova tra le gallerie, a Portello, vicino alla funicolare di Sant'Anna. Prezzo da ristorante dove si mangiano ingredienti di qualità. Scelta di vini. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
Ottimo ristorante a Genova. Abbiamo prenotato on-line, tramite WhatsApp con sistema molto semplice e comodo. Abbiamo mangiato piatti tipici liguri, preparati con cura, con materie prime di qualità. Il personale che ci ha servito è stato molto accogliente e simpatico. Super consigliato! PS: focaccia TOP!
Abbiamo cenato alle rune per celebrare il mio compleanno e devo dire che è stata una gran scelta perché il cibo era delizioso. Abbiamo ordinato due piatti di ravioli, un secondo a base di polpo e un dolce. Metto 4 stelle per servizio e ambiente solo perché non mi è sembrato che i camerieri fossero disponibili a controllare che tutti fossero a posto o servisse qualcosa. In più, faceva piuttosto caldo perché le salette sono intime e quindi ci sono molte persone dentro. Non sarebbe male avere un poco di ventilazione. Ciononostante ci tornerei assolutamente.
Sono stata qui a cena con i miei genitori. Il cibo era più che ottimo e gustosissimo. Hanno un vasto menu che si rinnova in base ai periodi. Siamo clienti di questo ristorante da tanti anni e quest’anno abbiamo scelto di trascorrere qui il pranzo di Natale… e come sempre è stata una conferma! L’ambiente è caldo e accogliente, con un’atmosfera davvero familiare che ti fa sentire a casa dal primo momento in cui entri. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: attento, gentile e sempre con il sorriso, nonostante la giornata piena. Il cibo, semplicemente eccellente. Ogni piatto era curato, abbondante e ricco di sapore, preparato con ingredienti di qualità e tanta passione. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, dall’antipasto al dolce, ed è stato un vero piacere condividere un pranzo così speciale . The food was absolutely amazing! Even though I grew up in a country by the sea, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a delicious sea bass — I’d never have imagined it would go so well with roasted eggplant. The wine recommendations and focaccias were spot on too. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a second time! Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and it’s also a very pet-friendly place. If I ever come back to Genoa, I’ll return here without a second thought.
An absolute gem in Genoa! Le Rune is a fantastic restaurant that truly captures the heart of Genoese dining. I had both a ravioli dish and an octopus dish and they were nothing short of outstanding. The ravioli was rich and perfectly cooked, while the octopus was tender and full of flavour. Every bite showed care and skill in the kitchen. The staff were brilliant; warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, making the whole experience feel relaxed and special. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable meal. If you’re in Genoa, do yourself a favour and book a table at Le Rune — you won’t regret it!
One of our favourite meals in Genova! The staff were so friendly and amazing. Everything was so delicious. We arrived at 7pm right before opening without a reservation and got a table for 1.5hrs. Highly recommend!
What a lovely local gem, featured in the Michelin Guide, with great service and delicious food. I especially love how they use fresh local ingredients and put a creative twist on traditional dishes. If you’ve had enough of the typical tourist fare, this is something different you’ll want to try. My personal recommendations: the savory panna cotta made with burrata, topped with basil and nuts, and the linguine with octopus tentacles, so yum!
We stopped here for lunch in June 2025. I strongly encourage you to do the same. I agree with everything Chris said in his review from two months ago: this place is superb, don’t sleep on it! Fantastic food, and wonderful, warm, attentive service. 5 stars.
We ate here twice; the food is the best we’ve had in 10 days, a unique experience, and the waiters were very helpful and nice — we definitely recommend it.
We had such a wonderful dining experience here — every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. We started with a stuffed courgette and beef tartare, which sadly we didn’t photograph, but it was a perfect opener: fresh, delicate, and full of contrast in texture and taste. For the mains, we tried the pork fillet with potato and black & white truffle sauce — rich, tender, and so comforting — and the burrata ravioli with pistachio sauce, which was a real standout. Creamy, nutty, and melt-in-your-mouth soft — honestly one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time. (Photos attached!) We finished with a raspberry sorbet, which was the perfect ending — light, tart, and refreshing. Service was kind and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed. You can tell the kitchen puts genuine care into everything they serve. Would absolutely return — and recommend without hesitation.

Is Le Rune the best restaurant in Genoa? I wouldn’t know, I didn’t eat anywhere else. After the first bite of my “poker” mixed seafood, I knew I would be back the next day. The food was top notch, every bite richly flavourful. Genoa is famous for its pesto? After their trofie pesto I now know why! Not just taste, but texture was well considered. The fish in their local stockfish stew was “tough”, not an attribute I usually like in fish, but it worked marvellously with the soft potatoes! Similarly their stuffed squid was exactly the right texture (important for squid). If the food wasn’t reason enough to come back, I would have probably came back for their warm and welcoming service and smiles. I ate both my dinner in Genoa here and had I stayed another day would have eaten there again! With any luck I hope to have the opportunity to eat at Le Rune again!!
I know you are looking through reviews to make sure you find a place you’ll like. Go here, trust me, it is amazing. Had the best pasta we’ve ever had. Absolute perfection! Best pasta in Italy. Can’t say enough. Get anything local and you will be impressed. I am sure the rest is just as amazing but we only had local dishes when we wen’t. The service was top notch, smiles all around. Every staff member smiled and made me feel more than welcomed. Me and my wife, Emily, are fairly critical when it comes to going out to eat and we were hands down impressed with this restaurant. Worth it a million times over. Thanks you so much for a fantastic experience. You are the best and hard work deserves recognition. I hope we get to come back one day.
Lovely, friendly restaurant tucked back near Via Garabaldi in Genoa. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful whilst keeping us smiling. Very attentive to our needs - multiple bags of bread supplied throughout the meal which was great for soaking up the beef ravioli sauces. The ravioli was to die for. My mother had the pork and said it was the best meal she has had in the last decade. The prices were incredibly low for the quality of food - definitely the best meal we had in 8 days in Genoa. Excellent foccacia, delicious mains and a perfectly done creme brulee for dessert. They had a white truffle special on their constantly changing menu - keeping with the seasons. My son wanted just ice cream - not listed alone on the menu - and they got him some. Really lovely staff, warm friendly atmosphere, fantastic food at a reasonable price, what more could you ask for? I should've taken more photos, but we just tucked into everything when it arrived and totally forgot to take pictures (which is why the 3 I took are all of partially eaten dishes!
Good Michelin recommended restaurant. We were lucky enough to get a dinner reservation on the same day. The restaurant is very cute and cozy, we had a table in the backyard, it was very hot as the wind doesn't flow. Food review incoming. The cod spread was amazing, actually the best dish from our dinner. We had the signature Genoa pesto pasta. The grilled octopus was well seasoned and also well cooked. Finally the rabbit was delicious, most and tasty.
We are over from UK. We have dined local but this place jumps to top of the list. Michelin quality and style of food. All fresh and tasty. Excellent value for money. The staff are so friendly and professional. Can’t rated them highly enough. Thanks for a great evening. 5* in all areas.
We had an incredible experience here for our last night in Genoa! The food was amazing, we’d definitely recommend getting the gnocchi and the focaccia for sure! The service was amazing and the staff were super lovely and helped us to understand everything and recommend their local specialities (especially their recommended genovese dessert) which we really enjoyed - we will definitely come back if we come to Genoa again!
Went there for the first time last year & obviously decided to come back this year. Le Rune is a place to go, no doubt about this. The food is amazing, and beautifully served. The team there is so nice, they take time to translate the menu in English or French if needed. Kindhearted people for a very nice experience. Highly recommend, obviously !

Tutti i piatti che abbiamo provato sono stati veramente buoni, con abbinamenti ben pensati e materia prima eccellente. In particolare consiglio il filetto di branzino avvolto nella melanzana, spaziale! Anche i camerieri sono stati molto gentili e cordiali e nonostante un po' di attesa tra un piatto e l'altro siamo usciti soddisfatti. Unico consiglio che lascerei è quello di rivedere un po' l'ambiente della terrazza, perché è poco areata e noi, che in più eravamo sotto il bocchettone da cui esce aria calda, abbiamo patito un po' il caldo. A parte questo piccolo dettaglio, sicuramente torneremo e lo consiglieremo ai nostri amici.
Ristorante tipico e locale. Siamo andati in questo ristorante per le valutazioni su Google e per aver visto che lo stesso è nella guida Michelin. Posto carino, personale molto cordiale e gentile, cibo discreto ma non da guida Michelin, cucina mediocre nulla di che; abbiamo preso del pollo arrosticciato buono con una salsa di ceci che non aveva gusto e abbinamento; il tataki di tonno con una striscia di riso. Nulla di che. Abbiamo speso in due 84€ ma non siamo stati soddisfatti. Bagni poco curati e sporchi. Nel locale non c’è rete, ma si può usufruire del Wi-Fi gratuito offerto dal ristorante. Ci ritornerò? Non penso. Ringrazio ad ogni modo per la gentilezza e cortesia del titolare e personale.
Un ristorante che sorprende per qualità e accoglienza. I piatti sono preparati con ingredienti freschi e presentati con cura, offrendo sapori ricchi e bilanciati. L’atmosfera è calda e piacevole, perfetta sia per una cena tranquilla che per un’uscita con amici o in famiglia. Il personale è cortese, disponibile e sempre attento ai dettagli. Un’esperienza davvero piacevole da ripetere e consigliare!
The food was great, also the drinks. The design and the atmosphere was not satisfying. Mainly tourists were eating in the restaurant, stupid signs not fitting the decor all over the place. The waitress was very friendly, but the staff was not enough. The process to pay took a long time. More expensive than traditional restaurants.
Food was super good and tasty. Good quality of ingridiends. The only I can complain that one of the meals was cold when it was served to us and also we ordered water and foccacia which was not brought to us at all. When you enter also smell is very specific. In overall it was nice expirience and I would go there again for sure. What is also important it is very calm inside - no loud music, load talks or any noises even if restaurant was half full.

Disappointing if you consider the prices and the listing in the Michelin guide. It’s ok but nothing special. Even the bread is disappointing.
