Il profumo ti accoglie tra ampia scelta di qualità. Si sente e si vede Genovesità già da come sono sempre pienissimi gli scaffali e banco, tutto è buono, ogni assaggio non delude...Sempre cortesi, due parole con tutti tanto che anche la coda diventa piacevole. Prezzi per tutti i portafogli! Nel centro storico un luogo che accontenta tutti e tutte..e non è cosa da poco BRAVI BRAVI!!

The best rotisserie in Genoa, without a doubt. The Russian salad is top-notch, the octopus salad is always fresh, and the veal with tuna sauce is textbook. Different dishes every day, from stewed tripe to stockfish, and Ligurian-style rabbit. The selection of cheeses is mind-blowing. If you're in Genoa's historic center, you can't miss a visit to Vitale.

There's a taste of old. Especially in the relationship between the customers and the tireless owner. They call each other by name, ask how so-and-so is doing, someone sits on a chair, not necessarily buying something but talking, interacting, living! These are the shops of a bygone era, a tradition that isn't whiny nostalgia but a superhuman effort not to succumb to the alienating contemporary world. Something to be preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ❤️

Went in to get an arancini, came out with 9 of the best local specialities I had never heard of. The man behind the counter is a magician and I wish I could have a butcher like this back home. Go there, buy his stuff, be nice to him, simply lovely

We stopped in for a quick takeout snack and left with full bellies and smiles. The owner and his family have been running the place for over 40 years. They're kind and friendly, and they let us try their own locally sourced produce while we waited for our erbazzone to be heated up. A true experience, with delicious food and lots of conversation.

If you're looking for a real shop, come here. Traditional food is ready to go, but if you prefer to eat it while you walk, don't worry. The very kind Mr. Vitale and his colleagues will heat it up for you, offering you a glass of wine and a piece of focaccia to enjoy with their freshly made pesto. It was nice chatting. I'll definitely be back every time I'm in Genoa.

Great place, absolutley friendly and helpful stuff. You can get traditional genovese snacks here as well as cold cuts and cheeses, foccace and more and more and more! The look of the shopnis fantastic and somewhat out of time. This is a very special place that you should certainly stop by when in Genova!!

Attenzione, non ci sono prezzi esposti e ho avuto l’esperienza che un piatto che costava 16 euro/kg mi è stato fatto pagare 26 euro/kg. State attenti soprattutto se non siete clienti fissi! Cibo buono ma caro!!!! Mi fanno fatto pagare 50 euro per 2 kg di melanzane alla parmigiana. Già altre volte avevo avuto l’impressione che fossero troppo cari. Si, è vero che sono gentili: fregoni con il sorriso! Attention, there are no prices displayed and I have had the experience that a dish that costs 16 euros/kg was charged 26 euros/kg. Be careful especially if you are not a regular customer! Good but expensive food !!!! They charged me 50 euros for 2 kg of eggplant parmesan. Other times I had had the impression that they were too expensive. Yes, it is true that they are friendly: they scam, with a smile!

Terrible, the cold cuts are grabbed by hand, the bread is grabbed by hand, and with the same hands, with great nonchalance, you touch the money, the minestrone is cooked in an embarrassingly uncovered pot, and the prices are unbelievable. I certainly won't set foot in there again. May 29, 2025.
