Still the best bagels and breakfast sandwiches around. LIBC continues a particular standard of excellence, in actively offering us a cultural staple of New York: the bagel. Whatever your bagel needs, I'm sure you'll be more than pleased.The only locale I'll patron for a bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted bagel, or a quick dozen (or two) for those group breakfasts.

The knish was pretty good, but very thin and flat. I guess to make it cook faster? It tasted like French toast. Didn't have any stuffing for some reason. LEO (lox, egg, onion) on plain bagel was fantastic, except for the bagel itself. Gummy. Probably needs to be toasted to be halfway decent. But there's plenty of great food in between the bagel halves. Also gotta knock some points off inefficient nonsensical and confusing restaurant layout, slow service despite 8+ people behind the counter, low employee morale, and a slight feeling of, "why are you here bothering me? Go away." 6.3 / 10

Always fresh, plan to wait, because it’s so busy... if it didn’t take 20 minutes to wait in line, then get your food, it would be perfect. Great quality, generous potions, priced accordingly.

Stood there for 5 minutes before someone asked if I was being helped, watched as employees chatted casually amongst themselves and completely passed over me to other customers that came after I did. When it was finally my turn, I was told by the person that finally did help me that it was my fault that I didn't let him know the drinks (that were right in front of me) were a part of the order, then was charged a random $4 for a drink that didn't come up in the register. Didn't bother to ask anyone how much it was, just rang it in as though that was the actual price. For the amount of money this place charges for their food (which is excellent) I expect way better service.

My review is based on the cream cheese lox spread. I really feel like they cut corners and cheap out on the loc. This is basically just cream cheese with a little bit of chopped pieces of lox mixed in, not enough to rely taste as a mix spread.

Let me start off that I don't write bad reviews unless there has truly been a neg experience. As far as food quality, I think the bagels and coffee is superb. I am rating it 2 stars because of their service worker, "Claudio" if that is his real name. This is my experience. What I thought was friendly banter over the past few years has turned into straight sexual harassment. For example, pretending he couldn't hear me so I lean in closer, talking low to me and whispers dirty remarks. Purposely getting my same order wrong so I come back. I know it may sound crazy but when a service worker guaks and makes you feel uncomfortable with their intentions, you know. Last time, I went in there and I was purposely having people go in front of me to avoid him and he still waited to serve me. Even waiting 20 minutes (which I don't mind if the food is good) I walked out. If I want a good bagel I will travel to the other LI bagel shops to not get harrassed. Only had that experience from that one service worker but I am not going back. Hopefully, no other woman has been harrassed.

Positive: clean establishment with fresh food. Cons: the server who took my order spoke very poor English with limited comprehension. I had to repeat my order three times to him before he repeated it back to me correctly. He did not mark the bagels and did not thank me after checkout. I’m not sure why anyone would hire someone like this. I felt like they did not appreciate my business.

11/17 of the egg sandwiches ive ordered over the past month have been dripping (not in a good way) these egg sandwiches are in edible. Tried various servers and the fact remains the same, a helicopter boss is probably pushing speed over quality. Been throwing out the bad ones at work and one time the facilities porter even complained to HR about leaking bags. $15 for uncooked eggs and a coffee seem like a steal in glen cove though! Coffee is always solid at least.

Went for a bagel here. Wanted tomato red onion and scallion cream cheese. Didnt come with onion and tomato. Ridiculous how we repeated. order and didnt listen. Loaded with cream cheese. 👇.

Waited close to five minutes for service while watching employees enjoy their breakfast. Finally got someone to wait on me. Asked for three buttered bagels and asked how much and was told $3.85 each. I told the guy forget about it. I can get 18 bagels for less than $20 yet you charge me more than 2.25 for a smear of cheap butter. I hope this place goes out of business.

Review My girlfriend went in the other morning to get a bagel. When she placed her order, the man behind the counter apparently couldn't hear her... So rather than saying excuse me, or I'm sorry I didn't hear you, he decided to mock her instead. Needless to say she left right then and there. We will never be returning and I suggest you seriously consider your options before traversing the hostile service environment that is long island bagel cafe. Absolutely foul.

Rude staff , bagel looked old i asked for it toasted and this is what i got. Iced coffee tastes like water. I ordered and “Andy” just walked away and when my friend needed to order he snapped and said “I JUST ASKED IF SHE NEEDED ANYTHING” in a disgusting tone. Won’t be returning:)
