This was the most exquisite dining in all of glens falls our wonderful server with the name of Sebastian S. Made our food even better. He took care of us in every way possible. There buffalo mac & cheese left my palate dancing with unique and scrumptious flavors. Our dining experience was a 9.5 out of 10. The one thing that could have push this to a ten was a word search on the kids meal. We were there for hours creating our own because we really wanted to do one. Again our waiting service was a 1 million out of 10 with no other then Sebastian S. Also known by some as Sebby. All in all this was a wonderful experience and well worth the money. We will be returning soon to see the smiling face Sebastian S.

Went to watch Kenny T and DC Steve play and have a few drinks with some friends. I ordered a raspberry vodka with seltzer and Buffalo chicken dip and chips as an appetizer. Later, Kenny's parents came and ordered their pizza. All was amazing, I can't wait to back. Between the music, the staff and the food. You can't beat this place.

First time visiting Glen Falls but all I can say is YUM! I was perusing restaurants on the main drag and noticed a sign saying they had a new chef/new menu which drew me in and so glad I decided on this place to eat my first dinner in town. I ordered the Korean Bibimbap dish, wow so good! The rice was perfect and I topped mine with salmon that was delicious. My waitress was great and the Chardonnay on tap was good and only $6! Highly recommend this place!

I ordered the Social Burger with Mac n Cheese. The burger was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a smooth salty delicious bite, I will absolutely come back for that alone. The Mac n Cheese was delicious. My cocktail was perfect. I can’t recommend this place more!

We had our wedding rehearsal here and attention to every detail was impeccable. Food was lovely. Service and all staff including management were outstanding!

Downtown Social was incredible! The use of space (formerly a clothing store and probably many other things) and time was genious, appealing to many different people. We enjoyed live acoustic music at around 7pm, the proprietor informed us that at 10pm the space would be a night club. DJ and all. It is great to see buildings being brought back to life like this!

Went downtown for the weekly (July into Aug) Take a Bite event, had a few bites from different places, then decided to split a BBQ beef brisket quesadlla. It was awesome, will pop in again next Wed. Absolutely, the best dirty vodka martini I’ve had by far! The bartender followed my request and was extremely attentive to go all the way of making sure I get even a new olive jar opened for the making of my drink! Loved it!!

The experience was awesome the staff is vary kid friendly. There is a pool table for the kids to play while they wait for there food. Tom was great with the kids was a good experience in today environment.

Downtown Social is a great part of Glens Falls, NY. I had my wife's 50th birthday party here. It is centrally located and was easy for people coming from out of town to get to and also find lodging. The staff, food and atmosphere was amazing! The management accommodated us with flexibility to get in and decorate, and were on top of every aspect during the party! All our guests were complimenting Downtown Social's atmosphere and staff. Highly Recommend having your event here.

11 of us, including 4 kids, had a terrific experience here last Saturday night. It was quiet, not a lot of other customers, and service was friendly, warm, and helpful. Drinks were refilled without asking, and food was delivered as ordered. Burgers were excellent, as were the tots. And the fried mozzarella was delicious and HUGE! It is literally a 1 lb block of cheese that is breaded and deep fried. We shared slices of it - along with the really good melba and marinara sauces it came with - and there was still more to take home. Nachos were also good and reheated well the following day. The other food our party ordered was also delicious - both the calzone and quesadillaare on my next to try list and the wood fired pizza as well. Definitely recommend trying this place for yourself.

Had my parents 50th birthday here, and it was awesome! Food was good, service was great, and they were super accommodating with decorations. They asked us before doing anything around us, and the atmosphere was just great for my parents and all their friends. Everyone reported having a good time, and absolutely loved it. Manager was always available for questions and helped with setup. Highly recommend having get togethers here!

This place was amazing. The atmosphere, the service and the food were all great. The chicken and waffles was better than any that I have had in Albany or Schenectady. My wife said the Mac and cheese put druthers to shame. If you're in Glens Falls, you have gotta check this place out. So worth it.

This place is an absolute gem! I had the Bavarian Burger, and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and incredibly satisfying. Their craft beer and cocktail selection is solid, with plenty of great options to choose from. One of the coolest parts? They have a Bourbon Room in the back with a completely different food and beverage menu. The vibe in there is straight out of the 1920s prohibition era, making it a unique and must-visit spot. The bartenders here are top-notch—knowledgeable, experienced, and always providing great service. My Fiancé and I came in for a quick bite and decided to get some pizza. The women working "Carrie" was an absolute Rockstar!!! She was talkative, friendly, and attentive. So glad we came in our pizza was delicious...All in all, great food, amazing staff, and a fun atmosphere. Next time we come, I will definitely be doing the pizza again if Carrie is working!

Riley and Magi were two of the most amazing, charismatic, and kind servers and bartenders I’ve ever had. I’d come back to downtown social every night knowing I’d receive the same service every time. They are two of the best service workers I have ever interacted with. Truly 5 stars for the amazing servers and bartenders here.

Look, I’m a local who orders out from time to time. I’m a big fan of the hot honey pizza. It’s hot. It’s just a kiss of sweet to smoothe out the tingles. It’s a pepperoni pizza. When I’m having a bad day that requires a few drinks to bring the mood in tow, I just want the comfort of this beautiful tasty little circular bastard. Not certain how the place itself in person is, but I’m a fan of this confection.

I held my wedding after party at downtown social in early November and I could not have asked for a better end to our night. Leading up to the event the team was so helpful and had great communication. Making this no additional stress. The food and staff were amazing the night of the event and most important a call out to journey and Letizia for making it a success. Would recommend to others looking for an event here!

I frequent the Bourbon Room and the bartender James always takes great care of me. Recently my partner and I went on a date night dinner, both ordering steak. He had the strip, and I got the filet. My filet mignon was perhaps the best I’ve ever had, and coming in at a super affordable price on that particular menu - just $29 I was blown away by both of our meals, the meat was high quality, the temperature was perfect. The lamb lollipops we started our meal with were exceptional and deserve an honorable mention. Hands down the best quality meal you’ll find at the best prices in town.

I got the waygu burger last night with the bacon jam I'm not sure what the name of it was but it was hands down the best burger I have ever had in my life. I have had burgers from Texas to Florida up to Maine and in almost every state along that path I have never had a burger like that before.

We ate here before an ADK Thunder game with a large group from work. Great, flexible service as people all joined at different times. I’m vegetarian and ordered veggie potstickers to share and the falafel bowl - both were really good! Veggie items on the menu were clearly marked. My husband ordered the Bavarian burger and loved it. Good local beer selection too.

Crowded at night. Not for people looking for a beer or two before going home. Very loud, however if you are into events, and good food and decent service. You have to try it out. It may be different during the day. This is my night experience.

My wife and I had a great time at Downtown Social mainly due to the great performance by the Doc Orloff dou. Their renditions of classic rock and blues were greatly entertaining! Doc Orloff's powerful voice belted out one great song after another, and Tommy Metallo on lead guitar was a real treat to experience from Santana to slow hand renditions of Clapton. I hope they'll be back at DS real soon! Rock on Doc!!!

Just stopped in for dinner. The first thing I noticed was how clean and inviting the place is. We were greeted by the manager and made to feel comfortable right away. We had an excellent waitress and enjoyed drinks appetizers and entrees. The prices were fair especially for the quality of food. A must stop if you are in the area !

We went to Downtown Social for the first time tonight. I was most impressed that they understood cross contamination and I didn't have to worry about having an allergic reaction. The majority restaurants use the same fryer for shellfish and fries, etc. I am allergic to shellfish so this is a serious problem for me. We spoke with Chris who was cooking and Magi was our server and they couldn't have been any nicer. I will feel very comfortable eating there again in the future and plan on doing just that. Went on a weeknight during restaurant week. Our server was in training but fully capable and an excellent waiter. The homemade falafel was light, crispy, and flavorful. The chicken fajita bowl was delicious, a mildly citrus undertone mixed with seasoned black beans, veggies, and well-flavored blackened chicken. The chocolate cake was HUGE, truly a fat kid piece. Delicious; I had to take it home!

Deliscious and distinctive gourmet food! I had the bone marrow appetizer... yes you read that right... broiled bone marrow served on the half bone! Talk about the Paleo Diet!!! Probably not on everyones menu wish list, but for you adventurous diners, I highly recommend it! I do have just one "bone to pick": there isnt much marrow in there! Maybe doubling the size could be considered .... its just a bone afterall. My prime rib was superb! That portion was very generous and cooked to perfection. Downtown Social lives up to its name with a vibrant buzz and hip surroundings. Cant wait to go back!

Great service! We sat outside to listen to the guy with the sax but there were so many bees we had to get a table inside. Still good service but the band was so loud I couldn't have a good conversation. Food was delicious!

Went with party of 12 . Told us we had to be out by 930 because we had underage kids with us after we already sat down at 835. Boneless wings were burnt to a crisp . Unedible . Some of the other food was delicious . Service was great .

Wide open area that feels great. With space that large, you'd think sound would bounce around uncomfortably but it doesn't. You can still have good conversation at your table and be heard. The flooring is Gorgeous!! Nice outdoor seating, as well. Beer selection was a bit limited; no brown ale but that didn't stop us from enjoying our time there. I'd recommend giving Downtown Social a go!

Fun place, excellent and friendly service. Great cocktails, very clean. Chill, relaxed, casual atmosphere. I went there a couple months back, was very impressed, liked the menu and the food was very tasty. Then, my 2nd trip, a couple WEEKS ago, the menu had changed...and it wasn't really to my liking. The items I had previously enjoyed were no longer on the menu but, our server went above and beyond to have the cook whip up something as similar as possible to what I was asking for. I was very pleased with my lunch..and the willingness of the staff to be cooperative and helpful. This place is a definite YES in my book. The 1 missing star is only bc of the new ( IMO ) slightly less appealing menu.

We went there for a couple of drinks on a Friday night. They had a rock band playing. It was really good. There are 2 pool tables (it takes 4 quarters). The drinks were ok. I got a Guinness in a plastic cup. I guess after a certain time no glass cups. But overall a good experience. We didn't have food because the kitchen was closed.

We come to the downtown social often. On this one night, a beautiful early spring night, they had outside seating. We were seated right away, but no wait staff came to assist us. Megan (spelling?) one of the managers. Came to ask if we'd been helped, then took us under her wing for the rest of the night. She was DELIGHTFUL, helpful, and got our drinks and food to us in record time. We love this place, but love it more now bc of her....

We recent strolled through Glens Falls for the first time in years. It was a pleasant visit. There were several places to park, with plenty of green spaces and many new restaurants. The pet friendly Downtown Social was our late lunch choice. Our staggered lunch selections started slowly. Their 12-ounce beers were appreciated, especially for trying a new brew. The Adirondack Pilsner hit the spot. When our orders we delivered, napkins and utensils were not. After a few minutes they were delivered with many apologies. My Caprese salad had ample ripe tomatoes and delectable mozzarella. The crust on the mushroom calzone was crisp, and stuffed with tasty mushrooms. Our pet's special order plain burger patty was cooked as promised and thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, a leisurely and enjoyable al fresco lunch.

The sign for Roman style pizza caught my eye. It is good, but not the best I have had. Great beers, atmosphere and oven. I will go back and enjoyed the space.

Food was decent, pizza was very good, and the waitstaff was very accommodating. But you need to GET RID OF THAT RIDICULOUS B.S. CREDIT CARD CHARGE! I'm a local diner who eats downtown almost two to three times a week, again I'm local, not a tourist. If you want to add a charge TELL your customers FIRST, and please do not add it to my bill when I'm paying cash. Drop your dumb policy before you lose business, no one else does that. Also, do something about your bee population outside, thank you!

Just went in, sat down on the upper level picked our apps and drinks and watched our waitress walked by 5 times, set up cornhole and then sit down at the table next to us to have shots. Pathetic service, will not be back or recommend to anyone Update: thank you for responding to my unfortunate review. I’m not sure how to add so I hope this edit works. We were in the restaurant on Saturday night (the 23rd), we sat at 10:40 and were attempting to get a food order in before the kitchen closed. I appreciate seeing a business taking steps to resolve concerns, and am much more likely to try again.

For how much the meals cost I was expecting a lot more from this place. The beef barbacoa was $19 for braised beef, some asparagus spears and...a bag of potato chips? When the menu said "chips" I thought it meant the chunky fries which would have made more sense but the potato chips were a bizarre, bland choice. The beef was well cooked but the flavor was nothing to write home about. My fiance got the chicken and waffles for $18. The chicken was juicy but incredibly bland, all the breading fell off right away, and the waffles were just okay. Dousing the meal with the maple sauce that came with it was the only way to give it any flavor. We did get delivery but I can't imagine the issues with our meal would have been rectified by eating at the restaurant. Very disappointed and surprised given the reviews, if you're looking for an expensive meal that's actually worth the price just go to Downtown City Tavern.

We attended for a music event. The staff member was not aware there was any music on that day. They checked with their boss and notified us the event was cancelled. The service was slow but pleasant. It was not busy at the time and there seemed to be plenty staff. Notified of no pizzas or calzones that evening. The advertised “local craft brews”, were NADA. Stayed to try the Wagu burger. Not impressed. I bet this place rocks late night, but it’s not where I’m going to spend my money for good food, good beer or service.

Ate here for the first time 2 weeks ago since our pool league was playing here. Ordered the chicken wing dip with the bread. It was great. We ended up playing here again last night. Ordered the dip again and it was such a let down compared to the first time. Dip was still pretty good but it came with chips instead of the bread... even though the menu still says it comes with bread. Same price too. Chips were kinda stale. It would have been nice to know beforehand that they changed the item instead of after it was given to us.

I actually love Downtown Social as a whole! And up until tonight have never had any issues. Food is good, typically service is great. I've always had a great time here. However, the Bourbon Room bartender is atrocious. Joined some friends, bartender was out smoking, fine. I wait 10 mins. Upon his return, he gave my friend her soda that he'd started pouring before he left. I'd asked for a pint when he had a minute. He says incredibly smugly, "I'll be with you in a minute." Absolutely dismissive. 30 minutes later, he's drying glasses, and I still don't have a drink. My friends asked him to close out their tab, he walked away. When he did come back, though, he made sure to shake their hands...but wouldn't even make eye contact with me. Jason...you're awful and should find another profession, buddy.

Place right in the downtown of the Glens falls, food is good, prices are reasonable not expensive. Many choices on the menu and that is good. We were sitting outside because inside is dark and we are not feeling comfortable, we really didn’t like the interior. Service was ok. We ate bowls and they were good.

A big fan of sister business downtown city tavern so expectations were high. Service was weak. We placed a drink order and while waiting for them were looking over the menu. The waitress came back to see if we ready to order and to advise us "the bar is slammed so going to be a bit". We asked opinions on a few meals to be given a what most people order response, there did not appear to be any familiarity with the meals. I ordered the French dip that was served with a horseradish sauce and au jus. My dinner was served without the au jus. I asked for it and more water as the water glass was empty and waitress appeared oblivious. The au jus tasted more like tea it was so flavorless. The meat not much more flavorful and the French fries were cold. May not be fair to compare ever French dip I have ever had to the best one I have ever tasted (at the Ithaca Brewing Company.). Overall a bit of a disappointment since I am such a downtown city tavern fan. The one difference between them is Downtown Social takes reservations where as downtown city tavern does not. As an addendum, there were 6 tables, most of two largest of 6 when we arrived at 6 pm on New Years Eve. They had a large event scheduled for after 9 and when making the reservation specifically asked when we should arrive for a meal when we were attending a show across the street. Based our reservation on suggestion. I received follow up contact from the wait staff posing as “an avid reader of reviews from out of state”. I am going to assume the review I completed that evening never made it to management.

Service was fine. Our waitress was Meghan, and she was very nice. Unfortunately The food was severely subpar. I cannot overstate enough how the food was worse than then anyone could make at home. My wife and I each ordered a different version of margarita on the menu, mine was pure mix and hers was so sweet she left 3/4 on the table. I hate to be the person to leave a bad review, but you can literally walk 100ft and be at an establishment that will car about their patrons. Please please if you are in downtown glens falls go anywhere else

Visited for the 1st time this evening with a couple of friends. The atmosphere is nice and it wasn't very busy and we got seated right away. The biggest problem right from the beginning is that the menu that they gave us was nothing like the menu pdf online or even the menu that you can just plainly see online at there website. The prices were a little expensive but we were willing to give it a shot, we ordered street corn, blue cheese potato chips and the crab cake. The Street corn and potato chips were flavorful the crab cake however looked really great and tasted great but for 14.95 we got a single crab cake. Then we ordered dinner of a couple burgers the brisket cheese steak the salad and the scallops. The dishes were hitter mass the salad was all bitter of rubella with tomatoes that were very hard in the center and added chicken that tasted like burnt. The brisket cheese steak was extremely greasy and nothing special, the burgers were burgers and again the issue with the scallops was they looked wonderful but they were served with Cauliflower mash instead of risotto like the menu online said but they were still the same price. The staff was nice but definitely won't be visiting again.

Saturday early dinner (a few patrons inside snd outside): we came into the restaurant and there was immediately, general confusion about who the hostess was and where to seat two people. We waited for the hostess and she didn’t seem to care that we were there. We eventually were seated and the waitress cleaned off the table, but just swept the crumbs from the table onto the seat cushions. There was also confusion about what the beverages were. We ordered two waters and a Saratoga lager, except…no one ever brought the lager. I ended up going to the bar myself and getting one. While at the bar the price was $6 for a Saratoga lager, I was charged $7, and when I asked why that was, the bartender said they don’t give change and the beverage was $6.60 after tax, so they round it up. I mean, just tell me that is an old menu price. 20 minutes After I got my drink, the waiter said “oh you got one” and looked at my beer. There seems to be a ton of staff but no organization and lots of counter leaners on their cellphones. Not the staffs fault, they probably were never trained. Food was good, brisket slider, brisket quesadilla, and smash burger were yummy. Everything was edible but didn’t have a lot of consistency. By the way….what is the personality of this restaurant? Is it a pizza place? A gastro pub? It doesn’t seem to know what it’s identity is. I’m starting to think that the service will always suck here. And you never know what the food will be like, edible yet just okay. In 2019 they had an amazing chef….he made the best meatloaf I have ever tasted. Where did he go? Chef Mike? Update: went back for a second lager, it was $7, I asked what it was with tax, a different bartender said “they do things differently here now, it’s $6.42 after tax and we round up to $7.00. I replied…” then they should round down instead, right?” She laughed and when I said I have exact change she said that was fine, and then was surprised when I tipped. Something fishy is going on, down at….downtown social.

Had a reservation not overly busy when we got there and ordered Food took an hour to come out. food was cold wings under cooked had to wait for our 3rd persons order. manager only gave $20 gift certificate while it was appreciated feel it was way too little considering the amount that was spent. Waitress was great though.

We went in the middle of the day, about 3:00 on a Friday, and the food was sub pat. Place was empty, waitress seemed surprised to see us. Food could have been better with a little bit of effort. Had two salads, not as advertised. It's a cute place, I hope it's a better social club than it is eating experience. Seems to me they're missing a beat here. As I said, with a little bit of effort and mindfulness it could have been a lot better.

Very slow getting food out. They turned up the music way too loud after most of the restaurant emptied. Took about an hour to get our food. The staff was nice. Not a place I'd bring younger children to with the music volume or speed. My son's pizza came out last and after most of the table had eaten their food. We had to ask the server about it. Perhaps if they hadn't turned out most of the lights they would have seen that one person didn't have their meal. Three family members got the same drink and they were different shades of yellow and red. Not a good indicator of consistent alcohol pours. Call Jon Taffer, lol!

I've developed a love/hate relationship with this restaurant over the last couple of years. First, let me say that I've never had a bad meal here. Truly an A+ kitchen crew. I've tried a variety of different food from their menu. Everything has been excellent. From the pizza to the steak sandwiches, it's all well worth the asking price. The various steak sandwiches especially are great. Whoever they have cooking their beef tips and shaved sirloin is a load-bearing pillar of this establishment. I'm also very fond of the fact that they offer a reasonable uncharge to make any starter, be it wings or a quesodilla a meal. That's a deal that more restaurants should embrace. I love that I can get some wings, fries, and a 20oz beer as a meal without having to pay through the nose for a side of fries. I feel the need to stress how consistently good the food is. I want the kitchen staff to know I'm not coming after them with this review. You all are doing a great job, and your menu is excellent. Truly. That said, the wait staff is comically horrendous. The service absolutely terrible. Every. Single. Time. It doesn't matter if it's slow, swamped, or in-between. It's always exceptionally bad, and it's honestly gotten noticeably worse over the last year. This not a one time experience. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first couple of times. I assumed maybe it was just an off night or someone had called out. No, the servers are consistently lazy. Bold to say, I know but hear me out. After the first handful of times my wife and I had awful servers I decided to start counting the staff and watching them. More often than not the girls waiting tables are at the hostess stand or the corner of the bar socializing with each other. In my most recent visit it took a half hour just to get a beer AND that only happened because management picked up the slack and took our drink order for us. Our waitress? Lingering at the bar, only coming to check my table until I watch the manager speak to her. That should've been the end of it, but no, she disappeared (not really I could see her flirting with bus boys) for another half hour and for the second time the manager approached us and took (and later had to deliver) our appetizer order. All in all we were stuck there for nearly two hours. For a two top. I counted two bus boys, 4 servers, 2 bar tenders, and 1 manager on the floor. This is not an isolated experience. This has been the norm for Downtown Social over the past year. Except half the time, there isn't a manager available to pick up the slack and scold lazy servers. Normally, I see the servers disappeared into a side closet for 15 minutes to a half our at a time with the bus boys. Or just shoot the shit with bartenders instead of checking on tables. This has happened dozens of times. So why do I keep going back? Well, the food is reasonably priced, and it's excellent. It has been good enough that I can overlook the laughably bad service just to get my favorite entrée. It's been over a year of "maybe this time won't be so bad" only for it to be as bad or worse, and I'm at my wits end. In short, the food is great. But expect to be stuck there for 2 hours with little attention from the staff. I wish I was exaggerating but after giving them the benefit of the doubt once or twice a month for going on two years, I'm giving up. I'll go to the sister restaurant instead.

One of the members of my party ordered a meal and specified they could not have bacon on it due to severe allergy. Waitress said it will be served without bacon. Meal comes, has bacon, "can you please remake this without bacon", "of course our mistake". Five minutes pass they bring it back, we were skeptical because the meal took over 30 minutes to get to the table in the first place (as did every other meal we ordered) Lo and behold they fessed up to trying to just take the bacon off the existing burger. Additionally, other meals we ordered were seemingly made with no regard to the description of the entree description on the menu, one of our pizzas had over 3 other toppings that were not asked for or described on the menu When I spoke to the manager she was probably one of the rudest people I've ever met in a restaurant. Basically called us liars and that if we had a problem we shouldnt have eaten the food (we were starving since we waited so long for the food plus our waitress never came back once the food was dropped. No apology no remorse. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. There were maybe a total of 10 customers in the entire restaurant

We tried to go 3 times, first time we were ignored and left for across the street. Second time we waited for a table and no one came out even though the place was very empty. 3rd time certain things were "down" and they had a limited menu after a hockey game.

Went with family to have dinner at the social for the very first time and was turned away. Why you ask. Well we were told that because it is theater night many seat have been reserved 2 months in advance and we don't have enough staff on. So my point is who turns away business when they come to eat. Also place was less than half full. And why didn't you schedule enough staff on if you knew groups of people had made reservations 2 months ago.. so we took our business else where and will not be returning. Sorry not sorry.

We were so disappointed with our service when we visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We arrived at 1:30 PM and as we arrived, our server told us she would no longer be serving and we had to order from the bar. We ordered our drinks and returned outside to sit at a table and enjoy them, Then our server came over and began cleaning up the other tables and we asked her what time they close. She said they close at 3 PM so we knew we had over an hour until close. She then tried to close the umbrella directly over our table, but since we had a baby we asked if we could keep it open. She told us they were closing soon and she was going to close the umbrellas (again, over na hour until close). At this point we pointed out that we had an infant and we really wanted to keep her shaded from the sun. She gave us attitude and walked away. As locals, we were very disappointed to receive such negative service and we will not be returning.

Come here if you want to be threatened by the police when the bartender inevitably loses your credit card. When the cops arrived, they told me they couldn't figure out why the bartender called them. Told me it wasn't my fault he lost my card and I should go home as it was closing time. Never got my credit card back, the bartender took only half an hour to "lose" it on a very slow night so I'm pretty sure he stole it. Like many reviews of Downtown Social state, the service sucks. In my experience, I may have witnessed an even lower form of service than I thought possible. I suggest not wasting your time or sanity here, even if they're the only place open.

Biggest sore eye in town. All summer gangs of people circling the building. Drinking outside, smoking in non smoking areas. Music blaring outside till 1:30 am. Police there every weekend. Fights, drunks throwing bottles and cans. Serving till they are drunk and start fights on street. I find their behavior is rude to the other businesses, and tenants that are close by. This is a nice welcoming town, the "Social" does not belong in the center of "Glens Falls". Well....review #2 Last night 1:30 a.m. Door opens....and the drunks are on the loose. Yelling, screaming, drunk, staggering on the sidewalk. Music loud and 10-11pm the NYS tenant manual states that tenants paying rent have the right to quiet time, it is a violation of a tenants right. I would love the owner to hang around on a Friday or Saturday night. Park your expensive vehicles right out front. Get to witness it first hand. You'd be embarrassed. This is "GLENS FALLS HOMETOWN USA " NOT SOME STRIP WITH LOUD BARS AND LOUD MUSIC. The kicker is, walking your dog on a nice beautiful morning and have to walk around vomit, condoms, needles, drinks that have been thrown, cups and cigarette butts all over . A petition needs to go around. These police officers of Glens Falls are not baby sitters. They are called almost every weekend. They should not have to deal with the drunks that come out of your bar. Why don't you, your wife and kids hang out there some weekend, ya know, family night. Let me know how it goes. The mayor has dealt with this and attorney General is next. Her name us on front page of tenants rights manual. Onwards........ 1:13 am. Another fun Friday night at the SOCIAL....since 10pm yelling, screaming, loud, drunk, fighting. Three Glens Falls Police called. Took a drunk off in handcuffs, obviously served him to much to drink. All that place cares about is $$$$$$$$$$. Next batch of drunks will be coming out in 10 min. The noise, the loudness, has kept me up since 10pm. I am a tenant and will be exercising my rights. Not many in town are fond of the place. They over serve till everyone is drunk. No reason for that place to be open till 1:30 am. No other place is in town. Now the motorcycles are revving their engines, loud, and skid away. What a disgrace to Glens Falls.

Based on the speed of service I am unlikely to return.

I really do hate writing bad reviews but hopefully management reads their reviews and takes notice. From quality to service this place was terrible. Come on management, train your staff. We were a party of 4. I ordered a quinoa bowl with chicken. They bring me a tabbouleh bowl. I mention I ordered the quinoa and the waitress says we’re out of quinoa. Ok, fine I’ll eat the tabbouleh but you’d think you’d want to mention this to me before bringing it. I then proceed to eat the said dish and it’s horrible with dry old chicken thrown on top. I won’t continue ... but I can because there was more. Go next door or across the street is my advice or wait for the new restaurant to open in this spot when this one folds.

Cold food and the guy who makes the wings must think there is a shortage on sauce cause they might as well have been naked gross

👎👎👎👎👎 My first time there was last Friday may 19,2023 I had always heard great things so I was excited to being family there from out of town..the floor staff&..the DJ was on point However the bar staff was beyond horrible.. I've been a bartender for over 20 years in7 different states and I have never had worse service in my life. was 6 of us and we are all a couple hundred dollar drinkers plus food we never made it past the second drink. As I a few of us waiting at the bar for over 20 mins!! They would just walk by and not even acknowledge our presence one guy with dark hair took the empties and just walked away 😕👎👎 We found a place right down the road with much better attentiveness and dropped a whopping 800$ between all of us

I came here early in the night. Right before 5 o'clock on a Saturday. There was basicly noone in here. Though it did fill by 7 pm. We just order and app. Sandwhich and soup. And A quesadilla for the kiddo. They burnt the kids meal. Didn't refill our drink even when requested. The food was horribly bland and cold... nothing like there menu pic. Don't recommendations

We were SO displeased with our recent visit. We arrived at 1:30pm, an hour and a half before they closed on Sunday. We sat outside as it was a beautiful, sunny day and we had just finished a bike ride. The server was so rude and told us we had to order inside from the bar and that the kitchen closed early, so we couldn’t eat. After sitting for about 15 minutes with our drinks, while feeding our baby, the server started breaking down all of the other tables and chairs around us. We were slightly off put but didn’t think anything of it. A few minutes later she came over and tried to close the umbrella that was attached to our table. We spoke up and asked if we could keep it open since we were still sitting there. She said that since they closed in an hour she was breaking down the outside now. We were sitting with full drinks and a baby, trying to shade her from the sun and this server had the nerve to close the umbrella directly over our table. It’s a shame, we live locally and we walk downtown all the time but we have no interest in returning to downtown social after this experience.

So difficult when a business simply fails on so many levels you don't know where to begin. Let's just summarize, oh nevermind, here is the whole experience...greeted and seated right away, no wait on a Friday evening. This was the best part of the experience. Our first visit...btw. We waited about 10 minutes after being seated...no wait staff greeting, no wait staff acknowledged we were there. The table of four next to us had been seated ahead of us and they got up and walked out the door, never to be served or seen again. At the time we did not know why, but after being ignored ourselves for 10 minutes we assumed they too were ignored. We got up and decided to go to the bar. We were immediately acknowledged as there were only 6 people currently at the bar with three staff members behind. We ordered drinks and food right away as we had plenty of time prior to review the menu. Then the experience went farther downhill. The house chardonnay was warm. A can of beer however was a perfect temp. So only my wife was disappointed with the beverages! One of the staff members behind the bar was very loud, used "F" word loudly in speaking to guests, was seen taking shots, and even taking hits off of a vape of one of the guests. This staff member, while indeed was the one who took our initial order promptly, never in 40 minutes again acknowledged we were there or asked us if we needed anything. Another staff member, when asked ended up getting us various items throughout our meal. The meals (a personal pizza and a chicken parm sub) came out within 15 minutes which was good for a Friday evening during dinner hours, but the sub was to come with a side and did not, we had to ask again for it. The server delivering the food never inquired if we needed anything future, nor did the bar staff. The food itself was, at best, easy to forget. The pizza thin crust had little cheese for a margarita pizza, and lacked any real flavor. The chicken parm sub, of substantial size, was severely lacking any memorable flavor, was lean on the sauce, and served on a dried out sub roll. The original bar staff member was the "entertainment". This person was loud, making inappropriate comments to guests, appeared to be only concerned with certain "target" new guests who would catch his eye, and sweated profusely, so much so he would be wiping visible sweat back every few moments onto a rag over his neck. Mind you, the bar was of a very comfortable temperature and was not busy. We felt bad for the remaining bar staff as they seemed to attend to everything the primary bartender seemed to want to ignore. As I noted, this was our first visit, but unfortunately was also our last. If you want flavorful food and a modestly attentive staff experience, our recommendation would be to step 6 steps across the alley and dine with their competitor.

So we are new to the area and decided to go down to Glen Falls and have a few drinks. We got off work early and walked into the social. We sat at the bar and was greeted by Megan. We ordered a few drinks for happy hour and things went downhill. Not sure if she was having a bad day but she was just not very friendly. It was hard to get her attention. We decided to leave and we had a hard time even getting her to come back over to us to get the check. Thank goodness for her co-worker(straight brown hair with highlights-didn't get her name) who stepped in and asked us if we needed anything and we were finally able to get the check. Don't normally write reviews but this was just awful service. It's a shame because we probably would have went back to this place because it did have a great atmosphere, pool tables ect.....and a lot to offer.

Between pool tables being super close together and not working as they should …and the drama 🎭 I don’t wanna comeback It’s the ones that don’t say something that should worry ya but it’s also the ones that will and I promise god I will never step in the bourbon room ever again..alc is not worth getting treated absolutely disgustingy terrible but we won’t talk about that I don’t know if a giant mozzarella stick will make up for it this time …

Went to down town social on 1/17/2026. My gf bought herself 2 drinks an that was it. One drink costed $14 an the other was $7. Today we checked her bank account an down town social took $14, $7, an then they charged me another $30 for something I dont even know about. So apparently this place is stealing money from people they think are drunk an wont remember the next day. First time going there an guess what I will never go there again. Wow how corrupt this business is. Updated review: an now they are trying to say it was for an open tab when my gf signed a receipt n even left a tip after each drink. The second drink she got was a $7 shot that she left a $1 tip on. So can anyone tell me how its an open tab if she is paying for each drink separately

I’m going to start this review by saying it was a super busy night and there were not enough wait staff on to accommodate. Service was horrible we were waiting at least 25 minutes to be asked our drink and food order. Another 45 minutes for the check. All of our food was clearly sitting out before served. The server was kind and apologetic but for the price of drink and food the quality is not it. I would not recommend, I say this while now being physical ill from my meal. I was in the restaurant for at least 2 hours.

Very slow service and poor management response. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:00 PM, and there were only three tables occupied at the time. We placed our food order around 5:15, but our meals didn’t arrive until 6:30—over an hour later. Because of the long wait, we had to get our food boxed to go instead of eating there. Throughout the evening, several other tables ended up walking out due to the lack of service, both in getting orders taken and receiving food. At one point, we were told that a manager would come speak with us, but no manager ever came out. Overall, this was the worst dining experience we’ve had here. The slow service, lack of communication, and absence of management made it extremely disappointing.

I ordered take out, I ordered Bavarian wagyu burger since it sounded great...asked for it to be medium well. I picked it up, took a bite and it was very rare...Pretty disappointed in that. Beer cheese was great and everything else.

I do my best not to leave a bad review, but what we experienced last night was a first. The restaurant was not busy. We went to the hostess and asked to be seated outside. She interrupted that brief exchange multiple times to talk to employees. Brought us outside only to realize there wasn’t a table. We offered to sit at the bar to wait while they cleaned up a table and were forgotten. My husband after 20 minutes went back to the hostess stand to inquire as to how much longer and they seemed confused that we wanted to eat. It still took another 10 minutes to get the seating. The hostess left the menus and silverware on a stand and never presented them to us. My husband brought them to us after she left. We then continued to sit there for another 20 minutes ignored. Not a single person asked us if we needed to place an order or anything. The bartender came over and asked that we pay our tab and never offered to forward it to a dinner bill. When asked if anyone has come over, my husband calmly voiced his complaint and instead of acknowledging it and being professional, she said that she didn’t need to take our order if we didn’t want her to. It was as if we had to beg to put an order in. We paid our bar tab and left. I have never done that but I have also never had such a horrendously bad experience like that. In a town that has some wonderful competition, you would think they would be more willing to achieve mediocrity, at best.

Buffalo chicken sandwich looks and tastes like cold soggy cat food with no flavor. Server Erik had to leave in the middle of our table for and emergency but provided great service. Server that took over after provided almost 0 service and had to be chased down to grab the bill. In addition to the food being overpriced, they tack on a 3% credit card fee even if you’re using cash. Scummy business and garbage food. Way better restaurants in the area
