Cozy little walk-up serving chef-inspired entrees for breakfast and lunch, along with an amazing assortment of fresh baked cookies, cakes, scones and other desserts. We went for breakfast and I was impressed from the moment we arrived. The host was gracious and attentive. The menu was creative yet accessible. The entrees were presented beautifully and every bite was was full of flavor and texture.
You can't go wrong with Jeannine's. This place has a gift for being able to fill you up with great, healthy, love-made food. All of it, in a very classy, but not cocky, relaxant atmosphere. You could be with friends, alone, or on a date, and you will always be able to make an impression. I love Jeannine's.
The food was great! We were a little reluctant because it was an order at the counter, but this place did not disappoint. Bacon was the best my husband ever tasted. I had the Hi-protien scramble, and eggs never tasted so good, and let me tell ya, the scones are to die for. I'm from So Cal but will come here again!
Very pleased Jeanine's has the garden-veggie burger back on their menu as it is one of the best ones in town.
You guys REALLY need to expand the store! There is simply too many people loving the food and I never encountered even once, on a weekend, a lane to wait shorter than 5 people. But with that said, it's always worth the wait, just sooooo good.
The food was great, and I loved the Bacon, and it was mouth-watering with taste. Will be my must go spot in Santa Barbara for breakfast along with hundreds of others that morning. Does anyone know the name of the Catholic Bishop whose seal is displayed in the glass decorations wall? I've seen similar ones and was able to locate history, but this one I couldn't find. The glass must have come out of an old Catholic Church. Look for it as you enter on the right side of the walkway.
Excellent sandwiches, HUGE salads. Everything is so fresh! Will be back!
Food is outstanding at Jeannines's always and no complaints, however having your service staff re-trained to attend to customers in need of something is needed and with so many working at the same time no excuse not to...If you can get them in line with your kitchen staff you'll get a full 5 stars for service...
Foods good but was really disappointed to get my dine-in coffee in a disposable cup. Update many months later: my coffee was in a mug! I love the biscuits and gravy. The OJ is always fresh and worth it.
Absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in the door we felt the warm hospitality from every team member. The menu was filled with mouth-watering choices for both breakfast and lunch...it was so hard to choose. Ended up ordering the French toast and egg white omelet and we were blown away. So incredible! Wide variety of drink selections with mango iced tea as a favorite! The service and attention was unbelievable! Worth the drive from LA to SB just for this place! Can’t wait to visit again soon. Thanks so much!
So delicious, and the scones were truly delightful. We were running behind on picking up our order, but they still kept the food hot for us. They got almost everything right on the order-- we ordered apple juice, but got fresh squeezed orange juice instead. Honestly, it was a pleasant surprise. Next time we are in California, we will absolutely return! Much love from your new friends in Wisconsin :)
Great breakfast place. We were in Goleta for a weekend get away from San Diego. We read the reviews before deciding to go here and let me tell you they were not wrong. As soon as we walked in we felt welcome by a young lady that was kind enough to welcome us and when we told her it was our first time there she took extra time to talk to us. Lalo is amazing, he also came over to welcome us and answer some questions we had. Breakfast was delicious, the Cuban coffee was amazing, and we will have to agree the best part of this place is the service. Excellent service. You have to try the scones, amazing.
First time eating here and they were busy. Our order was taken for two All American breakfasts. The food was served fairly fast considering the number of customers present. The eggs were plentiful as were the potatoes. The biscuits were still hot, too. One of the waiters refilled our iced teas and thanked us for dining there. Will give them another try on our next trip to Santa Barbara.
I’ve heard it said about Jeannine’s that once you try something, you can never order anything else because that one thing you tried was so good. I have found it true myself. Thank you to whoever Jeannine is for the amazing food.
Great food, fast efficient service... Ran out of tables due to weather and other breakfast joints being closed. If you have dogs, they make dog treats!
Great brunch/breakfast place. Had 3 different cookies given to us as we waited for our food. Had the breakfast burrito which was great. The home fries are made with red potatoes and sweet potatoes and other root vegetables - very good. Yes, this is a good place to eat.
Husband had the Rajas burrito & I had the tuna melt. Both were delicious! The service was friendly & fast & shared an apple maple scone—best ever! We will definitely be back on our next trip.
What a nice hidden gem, a breakfast cafe offering a good selection of typical breakfast dishes, with a great variety coffee and fresh pastries. There is no table service, you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I order the Chiala Khalua Banana French Toast, it was yummy! Also ordered a Chocolate Chip pastry, tasty with the good amount of chocolate in it. I will patronize this establishment again.
Stopped in for a bite just before closing. I couldn't resist Crab Cake Benedict with a Flat White. This came with potatoes and fruit. And it was AMAZING! The eggs were cooked perfectly, crab cakes DELICIOUS and the hollandaise perfectly complemented the meal. The potatoes were so tasty and the fruit was fresh. I got there right before they closed (1:30 pm) and they were closing right around me. Didn't ask me to leave or stare at me, just cleaning all around. I most highly recommend Jeanine's!
Beautiful breakfast place. So good, I had to go back twice during my trip to Santa Barbara! Not only is the atmosphere inside adorable and quaint, the food was divine. The perfect breakfast plate for a hungry traveler. The iced coffee was a 10/10 on a hot day- sweet and refreshing.
If you like breakfast burritos, Jeannine’s is the place to go to in SB. I have had many breakfast burritos and this one is hands down the best one. The combination of the eggs, bacon and other ingredients just make this burrito delicious. You won’t be disappointed. And the best part is it is served all day. Huevos rancheros and the smoked salmon plate are also great choices. Great service by the staff and at the Goleta location lots of options for seating inside and outside.
Consistently great breakfast food! Their baked goods are always delicious. Today we ordered the chilaquiles and lobster eggs benedict, which were both great. Their banana Kahlua French toast is also amazing.
I believe this is their 2nd location. I still love the atmosphere of the original location. White fence white little house-like restaurant in Montecito. This location is in Goleta and newer communities.around it. Lobster Benedict was in the special menu today and a MUST TRY!! I just love Jeanine's!
The short wait is worth it!! Great food and amazing baked goods! Highly recommend the strawberry scone!
Sign up for the rewards program! Delicious food, had the tri tip omelette and the lemon poppyseed pancakes. The potatoes that came with the omelet were great, the biscuit was good, but as biscuits are, was dry. Pancakes came with regular syrup, blueberry sauce, and whipped cream. Order at the counter and receive a number to sit down at the table, both indoor and outdoor dining.
This was a unique set up! You would tell the hostess how many people you had, then she told you your table number and would set your table while you went inside to order your food at the counter. You tell the cashier your table number and they bring out the food to you. I’ve never experienced this before but for sure it was a well oiled machine! It didn’t take long after ordering to get our food. Both the Eggs Benedict and the Challah French Toast Breakfast were delicious! This was a great find before we headed to the airport.
I Love Jeannines! I recommend it to everyone that asks me for a breakfast or lunch spot. It feels like you just walked into a place called home, especially with the white picket fence! The food is amazing...I especially like the American Breakfast or the Eggs Benedict! OMG...Try the Goodland cookie...they usually sell out which tells you just how good they are.
This was a pleasant treat during my visit to the Santa Barbara area. The usual place I had been getting breakfast wasn't open and I was on a time crunch. I got here right at opening and started with a pumpkin scone while waiting on my tri tip omelet with hash browns. The scone was awesome and I really wanted to buy/try more pastries. My omelet was huge and delicious (maybe a little overkill on the onions). Service was fast, and I ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches to go for the others in my group. They were nicely packaged for carry out and I'm told were very good. I'm not a coffee drinker so can't comment on quality of that, but there was definitely a full barista setup, as well as a cooler with juices, sodas, and even beers and champagne.

Quite possibly one of my favorite breakfast places ever. The Santa Barbara scramble special was SO good. Good biscuits. So pleasant to sit and finish my coffee.

We had brunch here on a Saturday morning. We sat in the outdoor patio tables & really enjoyed the 70* weather while we waited for our food. The breakfast food was very good... we had the Eggs Benedict & the All American breakfast. Both were on par with what you would expect. The coffee was good & also tasty mimosas. Be aware there are no free refills on coffee as an fyi. That would be the only negative.
Great spot for breakfast! It’s not a huge place, but it’s well organized and efficient. You order at the counter and then find a seat. The line looked long when we arrived, but it moved quickly, and we had no trouble finding a table. The menu offers plenty of choices — especially for omelets, Benedicts, and pancakes. Our family of four ordered different dishes, and every plate came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The staff was courteous and attentive. They quickly cleared and cleaned a table for us, which we appreciated. The food arrived promptly, and everything tasted great. The fresh orange juice and iced coffee were especially good. Highly recommend for a relaxed and delicious breakfast!
Lovely little eatery. Excellent brioche French toast. Big portions. Lots of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating. Excellent baked fresh items as well. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this place.

My partner and I come to this plaza pretty often and there's always a line out the door on weekends. So finally we tried brunch here a couple weekends ago. We waited in line for around 45min before we could order. (First you order, get a number, then find seat) I got the wagyu eggs benedict. The beef didn't taste marbled enough to be wagyu but maybe tri-tip is leaner. The food tasted good, just not wait in line for 45min good.
My mom and I went there for breakfast today. We had checked the Internet and with a friend I saw the banana French toast with Kahlua and we had to try it. It was delicious good service. A little too much sauce on the bottom but the French toast was soaking it up.
This is a really cute coffee shop with an I credible menu. Just check your drinks before you leave. They messed up my Macha latte and gave me a mocha. Definitely not the same thing

The kitchen got my order wrong at first but they quickly fixed the issue and me and my partner loved the food there ! Delicious fresh food , the main problem is just that the place is overcrowded with a bit inconsistent service
Food was mediocre. Toast is dry. Bacon tastes like pure liquid smoke. Potatoes are bland. Looks like most people order the eggs Benedict. Chocolate espresso scone was good 👍 Orange juice is fresh squeezed and delicious. Quick service. Friendly staff.
So I did find a alive and well grasshopper in my salad the other day… which you know, I still ate the salad cause it was good and I spent like $30 dollars on it 😐 but yeah definitely was a first for me. I guess that means the lettuce is really fresh which is cool but I wish I could have gotten my money back :(

Not impressed. Over priced even for Oct 2025. Why these places think that $5 for a simple coffee is okay is beyond me. Food was adequate. Service meager.

Updating my review Dec 2024. Things have changed here. Food mediocre. Ordered a breakfast sandwich. Eggs were dry, avo, very slim slices were unripe, tomato unripe. Lots of spinach which was not tasty. Clumpy cheese, outside of the sandwich rather than in it??? Tried to eat this but just couldn't. I picked at it as I'm hungry. Bread was dry and flavorless. Ordered to go. While I was waiting I saw my meal sitting unattended. Server finally picked it up but instead of handing it to me, my meal was dropped off behind the front counter where it sat again. Finally after I stared at it awhile trying to get someone's attention it was given to me. I didn't know, of course, that it would be so disappointing. Also thought this used to come with some fruit, there was none. Very disappointing expensive meal. Latte seems ok, but also not much taste other than the milk. Will not return for a long time. Perhaps will improve? Used to be delicious. Sigh. Feel cheated when food is handled like this. ............................... Old Review Enjoyed this location for Jeannine's. Easy parking, outdoor tables. I ordered to-go. Staff happily adjusted my order/changes to my liking. I had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with no meat, extra veggies, onions and avo. Spinach was very fresh, tomato and everything else. Eggs made to order. A little messy but so nice to have "real" prepared food. Very nice oat cap. Friendly service. It might be a location that gets very busy. I was there early. Easy to get in and out of. Almost no shade in the parking lot however which if sunny and hot is a big issue for my dogs. Maybe it's OK to bring dogs in with you when ordering, not sure. It's okay at other locations. Some of the other Jeannine locations can be far more difficult to park with super long lines. Am not fond of the Cliff St location (SB near the beach) but I like this one.
The food is always fine. Typically good ingredients if a little bland. Unfortunately this branch of Jeannine's has adopted the practice of assigning your table sight unseen. So surprise! Might get stuck in the corner behind the door staring at the people in line. (We thought we were sitting on the patio with the band...) Check your table, kids. Also, no coffee refills. Edit: we were a group of 2, and there were multiple tables empty all over the place that could sit 3,4, or 5. Table 10 was empty the whole time we were there. The hostess refused to move us to a more pleasant empty table. At this point we'd already paid for our food so felt a little trapped. The experience just left a sour taste, and is nothing like how the midtown cafe was before it shut down.

First time here and felt very unwelcomed. My friend and I sat at a table and waited for our friend to come before we ordered. We were told that we were not aloud to sit at a table unless we have ordered food first. We were asked to get up and order, and another family came and sat at the table. Never have I ever encountered this before, asked to leave the table and order food first? I am not sure that the price or atmosphere is worth going. We visited on Saturday 3/2 at 9am. Read down a few reviews and see they kicked out another person that was homeless but paid for their food. Come on people we can do better!
The servers could not care less about providing good service to us. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and I can understand wanting to rush to close up, but if you're open till 1:30, you should be giving appropriate, kind service till 2:00. The kitchen overcooked my friend's eggs twice. She ordered the huevos rancheros and the presentation was not appealing, the eggs were overcooked, the tortillas were soggy when they are supposed to be crispy and she did not like it after trying it, goes to the register to have it changed and a woman that seemed like the manager gave her a difficult time exchanging the food for something else. She insisted that they could remake the dish correctly for her but my friend wanted something else due to her poor experience, she ordered the tri-tip Benedict with hashbrowns, the food is finally done, at this point its about 1:45 and we open the container and the presentation was unappealing and the poached eggs were so overcooked it looked hard boiled. It was disgusting. There was no apologies, no accountability, and no care. I can understand rushing to close and I can understand a lot of these workers are university students but no one should be working in food that doesn't care. It is very clear that this restaurant doesn't care about providing good food and providing pleasant service.
The food here is really bad. They have the most instantaneous food and sell it for chef cooked prices. Atmosphere is nice, looks pretty. It tastes like they get their food from those providers such as Sysco...
