Great little restaurant, in this shopping center. Wish I had pics, my devices were battery dead. I loved it. Very small space, cute & cozy inside, but plenty outdoor seating, I sat by the fire, outdoors, it was very spacious and relaxing. Not too busy on a Saturday, so great escape meal, rejuvenating after my long commute from LA. We had Halibut and Salmon, both absolutely delicious. No complaints. Staff was sweet and engaging. Smells fishy and enticing by the ordering counter, so if u don’t like fish smells or train-like seating, sit outside. We also had couple of their wines, also just hitting the spot right, and the waiter was all smiles and great company. I am definitely coming back next time I am in town 💯❤️👌🙏👀
I love fresh fish and since moving from Hawaii to here it's been impossible to find locally. Most of the places I've gone to have been middling at best, some I would just call serving bait. Nikka serves a tempura style fish that was cooked perfectly with a light batter coating The fish was fresh and firm as it should be. I heartily recommend Nikka and we'll be back soon for more.
Food was delicious!!! Huge portions!! Highly recommend!!
Really good food! I loved the seafood pasta. Pasta was not overcooked and the shrimp, mussels, clams, and fish complimented the pasta perfectly. The staff is very nice and happy to give recommendations. I flew in from Arizona just to have lunch here and I was not disappointed. Nice outdoor eating area to enjoy the beautiful weather.
WOW! Don't be put off by the strip mall locale. This place is Fantastic! Best clam chowder around. Fresh 🐟 🐠 🎣 🐡 and what a great selection. I had the Ahi fish tacos and a cup of chowder and couldn't finish it all. Large portions, cooked perfectly. Friendly staff, fast service. We'll definitely be back!
What a little gem this place is! We had the clam chowder, ramen (24-hour haddock broth!) and the stuffed parillo peppers with shrimp. Three such different dishes, and all were outstanding! Yes, it's in a strip mall, but the food is worthy of the fanciest of seaside locations. I can't wait to go back - there are at least six more menu items I want to try!
Food is always delicious and mouthwatering. Seafood are always fresh. Service is great... the owner even bring your food at your table, refill your drinks and checks on you if you need anything else. I love the seafood pasta! We always stop by whenever we're close by.
5 of us enjoyed everything we ordered: Dungeness salad, Fish n Chips, Calamari n Chips, Salmon sandwich and Grilled salmon. I personally tasted everything, and loved it all. Once you get past the crazy menu situation (multiple chalkboard on the wall), this is a great find!
Always the freshest seafood, my mandatory fish and chips with garlic fries spot.
From out of town. Fighting for the best chowder I have ever had and that is saying a lot as I seek it out anywhere I go along the CA coast. Good real large calamari and great fish tacos. This place needs to be rated wayyyy higher.
The best seafood around in the area in my opinion. Great service. Oysters on the half shell, cold beer with outside seating. Prices are reasonable.
Okay, let's start with. It's in a strip mall on a busy street, and it's a walk-up counter service. Set that down and then move on to the fact that it's really good food, especially for the price. The service was great. The food was very fresh and very well prepared. I would highly recommend it
I had the Cajun bowl and it was divine!! So much flavor and huge chunks of fresh food. Will definitely visit again to try out other menu items.
Delicious fresh fish. Sushi grade cuts for you to enjoy at home. I like all of their fish tacos, Poké, bowls, oysters are delicious, but I do wish they had wild caught instead of farmed. Apart from five out of five.
Great little seafood restaurant and market. Everything is very good. It has a small fresh fish counter. Love the Cabo tacos and the fried shrimp. I have heard the ciopinno is excellent. They offer to go and have specials based on what is fresh. It is located in the Camino Real marketplace so parking is easy. They are part of the same owners of Sushi Teri and Nikka Ramen. Inside is cozy with a couple of booths and some tables. There is patio seating also.
Consistently amazing in both food and service. Fish is always top notch, my personal favorite is the salmon tacos. The building’s on the smaller side, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing huge groups. Pay-at-the-counter too!
Hadn't been here for quite some time, but was quickly reminded of how great the food is. Really enjoyed the fish tacos and fish sandwich. Appreciate the online ordering and friendly service during pickup. Food tasted great, was hot and fresh, and worth the price.
Loved their food!! My wife and I went there. We heard good reviews about this place from our friends and they fulfilled our expectations!!! The fish tasted good and smelled great!! We will definitely return to Nikka for more exciting dishes!!!
Seafood restaurant with beach-themed decorations and fried treats. When dining-in, you'll order at the cashier, get a number, and find a table. I would recommend the "Calamari" appetizer. It comes as a ring similar to the shape of an onion ring. It doesn't come with any sauces so you'll want to try either the ketchup or vinegar sauce they serve at the table. It comes fresh and crispy. The service was generous, courteous, and quick. There were enough open spots on a Saturday evening. Overall, the seafood tasted fresh and was well-made. It's one of the spots worth coming back to the next time I am in the area.
Delicious seafood combos you order at the counter. Not very busy on a Tuesday night. You can get dessert from yogurtland down the block. We had the cioppino, paella, and fish and chips. Yum!
Go for the great fish but do not, under any circumstances, expect anything fancy. It’s a hole in the wall place in a strip mall. You want inside. Go up to the counter. Order from the nice sized menu. And go sit outside and wait for your food. The fish was cooked to perfection. And, amazingly enough, the vegetables were fresh and also cooked perfectly. Can’t remember if the salad came or was extra. Either case, have it. Not really expensive either. Well worth it.
Great local family owned fish market and restaurant. The fish is always fresh and the menu is broad enough to satisfy all your seafood cravings. I love the grilled trout but my wife prefers the halibut. They have delicious grilled scallops as well.
Excellent!! A huge menu with a great variety. Everything that we tried was fresh and well-made. The $10 draft beer was a nice surprise!
Easy to find parking, fresh fish, friendly staff, fast service (around 7pm on a Tuesday), outdoor seating available, decent size indoor seating area, menu is not too expensive for a seafood restaurant, great menu
No frills diner and market serving a wide variety of seafood. Average prices, though honestly not bad at all for fresh seafood. Friendly service. I had something they called jambalaya. It wasn't actually jambalaya but whatever it was it was delicious. Fresh fish. Shrimp. Clams. Shrimp. Sausage. Even the veggies are fresh. Great spices, everything is plentiful, and it comes in a huge bowl that's a challenge to finish. Is this my new favorite restaurant? Maybe.
Had the Ahi tuna sandwich (with chipotle sauce) and fish and chips. Both were amazing with the sandwich being especially tasty. I would highly recommend the sandwich!

We wanted to find good seafood to take out. The cashier who took our order was friendly and our order was ready in about 15 minutes. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!
Not the fanciest place inside, but we’ve always enjoyed the food here. The clam chowder and scallop dinner I had the other day was superb. Everything is always very fresh, and the service is great.
Got takeout and it was so good! I got the grilled halibut tacos and coleslaw. Loved both! I got a few of the side sauces which were amazing and they included a few chips. My husband love his poke bowl and the fries were great. It’s a cute little place, I’d love to dine in sometime!

No nonsense, order-at-the-counter seafood shop selling fresh seafood and various entrees. Surprisingly quick service (especially considering I ordered a paella) and hearty, reasonably good value food. Though it's probably mainly a takeout joint, there are plenty of tables to make it a sit-down meal. One annoying thing was that there was no menu, entrees were just listed on different surfaces in the store and storefront. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and looking to have soul food. Bonus points: Their buttered and pan fried baguette is really good with a soup or saucy dish -- I didn't think I wanted it with my paella, but I didn't regret having it.
Good, basic fresh fish market and restaurant. Nice different food options. Owned by Sushi Teri next door.
Service was fast and friendly. Food was good. For fried foods, the batter could use more seasoning.

Came here with my family recently while visiting Santa Barbara. This place to me is best described as a fusion Japanese and Italian restaurant. The service was great. The food was good.

The atmosphere was great, exceptional customer service. The sashimi wasn't fresh and didn't taste good at all. It gave me the impression that I was going to run to the restroom, and I did. Is sad 😔
Don't go there as often since they removed their old fish burger off the menu. Who serves beef burgers at a fish market?
Spicy tuna burger was a hard, dry patty that was overcooked. I should’ve ordered the Ahi burger or pretty much anything else. I will come back to try something different. Definitely won’t order the spicy tuna burger ever again as I’m not into over cooked, ground fish patties. Not a great first experience for me.
Fish market and restaurant combined in a strip mall. Architecture is full-on fish market with some tables. Service was friendly and quick. I had the Clam Chowder and Seafood Paella. The Clam Chowder was good, but I am not a fan of the Paella. The seafood was fresh, but the clams disappeared in the rice and the mussels were pretty small. The rice was very sticky and appeared to be jammed into the clams and mussels. The sauce was kind of seasonless, but very sticky.
Ordered a lobster roll. This did not look or taste like a lobster, tasted like shrimp. When I called to ask the restaurant they told me that this was 100% a lobster roll. Cost 26 dollars

I love Nikka's food but I hate that they only have high top tables outside. I avoid dining where they only have high tops as it is hard to get up and down with a back issue. I would assume fur many older patrons as well. They say they're dog friendly outside but it's very hard to maintain control of your dog from a high top table. It's nice on patio but not much ambience inside at low tables. Would love to see them swap out a 2 top and a 4 top for 2 lower tables. Staff was pretty much oh well that's the way it is.
I used to love the scallops and chips, they were lightly breaded and delicious. I don’t know if the recipe has changed or they have a new chef, but they are now very heavily breaded and no longer good,
