Great fast food and good service the people who work at this one are cool too

Was always told it was a good fast food place, but it was much better than I thought. I dont remember exactly what we got, but i was up-sold a super good brownie.

Had a bad experience with one of the managers failing to tell me over the phone that the order wouldn't be placed until we arrived but the manager that was physically outside taking orders made up for it with her kindness and ability to get orders moving through the extremely busy drive-thru. As well as the nice young man that brought our meal and corrected any mishaps. Thank you all regardless and thank you for providing meals for the troops!.

Really great service, the place was clean and the workers were very nice and helpful! They were also really quick with the food so it was ready fast! Plus I liked when they were laughing and having fun in the back a bit gave it a friendly and happy warm atmosphere

Excellent food just a little slow. But that is because its fresh when they make it. So the wait is worth it. Went again this morning for breakfast. They have the best biscuit sandwiches by far in the area. They use a real egg on them!

Always good service and hot delicious burgers. Marcus the shift manager is a pleasant person to deal with, always friendly and courteous as is the staff as well. Alara was working drive through that day and handled our order with great customer service.

In a crisis, they handled everything perfectly and patiently. Overwhelmed with starving dislocated people, everyone was smiling and making sure we all got the correct order and we were happy with it. With all the madness, I didn't hear a single employee complain and they looked as tired as we all felt.

The burger was good. Not great. Was not my choice of venue. Had I been on my own it would have been BK all the way. But I gave it the 5 stars for at least trying.

Best quality food for fast food even at 3am. Always have great attitudes even from the young staff, when packed, at 2-3am. I don't know how they do it but they do. They recommend the cinnamon roll and it was amazing. They recommend the chicken fajitas wrap thing. It was amazing. I got a chicken breast for my dog and it smelled so good. I know the dogs mad cause he only got half but in my defense, it was a huge chicken breast.

Food is ok wait is too long staff aren't very friendly. If your hungry and need to eat i wouldn't suggest this place. Considering the fact you have to wait 20 cars behind just for an order.

For a fast food restaurant you would think this location holds the typical fast food experience. I usually don’t write reviews but I felt I had to after the great service. The manager was extremely respectful and funny. Stayed on the floor taking orders and going around making sure everyone dining in was satisfied. And constantly checking on his employees and asking if they need any help. Great guy that was!

Absolutely Great Fast Food Establishment. From every staff member and the food is always perfectly on point in both taste and aesthetics. And the "real OG" for Gonzales as far as a legit 24hr fast food place, every single day. The only time I personally have seen them closed was on Christmas day, which means they're open more than any other fast food place and more dependable as such for the entire year minus a single day. That's more than reasonable to be expected from a fast food restaurants especially around here when the food is as good as it is. I love this place and the people who work there and the food that comes out of there! 10/10 recommend.

My wife just loves this place. So do our boys. I don't eat as much as I used to, but the best value is a double meat Whataburger. Two quarter pound meat patties. Just a dollar more & you get a half pound of beef. My sons now live a couple of hours away, but have no Whataburger. So when they visit or we travel we always end up at Whataburger for lunch or supper.

The food is really good staff are very friendly and they get your order right most of the time. :) The only bad thing I didn't like when I went the floors were sticky and my shoes were sticking to the floor. But other than that my experience every time I ate here was great.

Came in around 11 pm. As soon as we walked through the door a lady said “why can’t these people just cook at home” other then that the food was amazing. All the night shift workers deserve more credit then what people give to them. Some nice people that’s for sure

For some reason, it is hard to get good service at the counter. It seems like everyone is working the drive up window. Once you can find somebody to take your order, they disappear into the back. Sad, really because we like to eat there.

I got their new buffalo chicken salad, which you can get grilled, or fried chicken on, I got grilled & it was good,but between the salty bleu cheese, & crispy bacon was too salty for me. I got it with ranch dressing too. It was a good salad, & I'd order it again,but get without the bacon. I also wish it would've had some cucumbers to add a more fresh note to it. Service was great, and good value for your buck.

My husband and I go about 5 am. every Wednesday on our work route, and we usually enjoy it, but for the last 2 weeks, not so much. I mean, we pay $30 for a fast food drive-thru and either get overcooked cold French fries or soggy hashbrowns or potato weaon/potato darts. Lol. Customer Service is amazing, though!!

The food is always good. And once In a while I crave a delicious whataburger and or shake. BUT THE SERVICE…. Every single time we come there are cars backed up because the service is so extremely slow. Currently waiting second in line right now. Been here for about 15 minutes. There’s car backed up behind me and cars waiting for food on my right. If service was sped up this would be a go to place like McDonalds.

Last two times to this location in Gonzales the food has been less than adequate. While one meal on our last visit was great the other was not, including a way overcooked burger, and cold fries. Not cool for a $10 meal. This location needs to get it together.

Of course its the best late open burger place!!! Fries awesome if you have a serious sweet tooth the cinnamon roll is everything!!!! Just don't go late night like 9pm if you are in a hurry or even on a timed break. You will wait and wait and wait.

The elderly woman cashier took forever to take an order. She would walk into the dining room to get high chairs and wipe tables between customers. The kitchen workers were checking cellphones and forgot the bacon on my burger. They kept calling out order number 82 instead of the correct 62. Too much inefficiency for $$ per hour pay.

Manager was totally cluless and obviously didn't want to be there! Usually great product and great service,but last two times management SUCKED did not have a clue about customer service and acted like I was bothering them, and female didn't even have a name tag. Guess to keep people from complaining about the attitude! Shame it's a good chain who usually goes above and beyond.

Burgers were good. Service was terrible. No front counter employee. Staff cutting up and talking on phones. Just walked by those of us waiting and went outside to talk on phones. To pay right at 20 bucks for two single burgers and fries/no drinks mind you. Service should be much better

Got our regular food on time. It took 25 minutes to get two Apple, two lemon pies and a sugar cookie. All food was good.

Waited for the guy at the window to take payment for 10 to 15 minutes, while he stood in front the window on his phone. Finally took payment and gave us our food. Which was all cold and honestly the worst I have had from them. Very sad seeing this one go down hill

I bought my husband and son burgers, I ordered a chicken strip meal. The strips were awful; they tasted like they had been cooked the day before and (slightly) heated up which gave them the taste & texture of a hockey puck. They forgot my ranch dipping sauce, but I caught it before I left and my fries were also cold. The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars is because the fellas liked their burgers. I like Whataburger; am a rewards member, and have the app, but this was ridiculous.

I love to leave good reviews, but too many bad experiences here has my hands tied. I've done curbside pickup only to wait 20 minutes while watching cars go through the drive thru or cars park to go in to order too often before getting my food to be positive about it. When I've tried to go in after 10-15 minutes after when my order says it'll be ready, I've been told, "it'll be out to you when it's ready". Tonight I placed an order just after 9 pm, got there just before 9:20, and I didn't drive away with my order (after walking in) until after 9:30, and after watching at least six cars come and go. I just don't get it.

How am I going to order on the app, sit in curbside for 10 min after it says it would be done, go inside, watch multiple people walk in and get their food, then get told mine is waiting on fries?? Then to rush things, they were not fully cooked, not in the box all over the inside of my bag. It's been a long time,2016, but I literally got my ass chewed out for asking for ketchup. Lunchtime midweek we,4 man crew, were the only customers in the store. Apparently the woman running the place had already run everybody off. I felt sorry for whoever owned that store.

I'm not at all bothered that they were closed at 4PM. We had a hurricane, and repairs have to be made sometime. What demonstrates an unusual level of incompetence is that they didn't bother to put up any kind of sign to let the half dozen cars waiting in the drive thru know they were closed. They just left their customers waiting. This location often takes up to half an hour to get through the drive thru line anyway, so nobody realized this wasn't the usual wait until after having wasted ten minutes. They must really hate their customers to show them this level of disrespect for their time.

I waited 40 minutes for a whataburger and fries and drink. It was around d 2:10 pm yesterday. Did not get my food until 2:40 pm. And only to get ice cold food! I was very disappointed! I love whataburger! I have never experienced this before. Not sure what was going on. I don't think I will go back for a while!

Very slow service. The management on Sunday morning is crazy bad. They got 16 cars wrapped around the building and there’s a guy sweeping the parking lot as if they don’t clearly need help with the kitchen. Whoever is delegating the duties should be handed a pink slip. 45 minutes in their drive through waiting on two pancakes and two biscuits is unreasonable. Could have bought the ingredients and made it myself for all that. And of course instead of an apology I get an excuse with an attitude, as if the customer is the one with the problem and not the terrible staff who don’t comprehend the job of a FAST food service worker. Ridiculous!

Went during usual lunch hours about 12:30-1:00. I got the 3 pc chicken tender meal, with white gravy. The gravy was basically cold white water. It was almost as if they mixed a gravy pack with water and didnt bother cooking it before serving it to me... Super gross.

I got to the window & they asked for my entire order over again. I asked for seasoned fries. I didn't get seasoned fries, I got regular fries, and no sauce that I paid extra for. On top of that, the burgers were cold!!! I don't want to go back. Usually whataburgers have great service, but not this location. I live too far away to drive all the way back.

Ask for toasted buns on one burguer and no mustard on another burguer and they didn't do it, plus asked for ketchup and the girl at the window was quick to tell me that they put some in the bag. Just to get home and realize that the order wasn't as asked very disappointed.

Got my order completely wrong AND waited 30 minutes for my order. Should have checked it but I was in rush. Highly recommend checking your order every time you are at this location especially in the drive-thru

This is my second time coming here and they forget a burger! I won’t keep coming here just not to get the food I ordered. The late night crew look like they just don’t care.

I recently visited Whataburger while working for Uber. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite not being the only customer in the restaurant, I was completely ignored by the staff for about five minutes. Even after politely trying to get their attention, I received no acknowledgment. The most distressing part of my visit was the interaction with the manager on duty, an older black male with a grey spot of hair on his bald head. Instead of addressing my concerns, he made insensitive remarks about why I was working at 4 am, implying that I should be resting instead of driving for Uber. Overall, the lack of professionalism and empathy displayed by the staff, especially the manager, was incredibly disappointing. Customer service should be a top priority for any establishment, regardless of the time of day. My experience at Whataburger fell short of this expectation, leaving me with a negative impression of the brand. I hope that they take steps to improve their service and ensure that all customers feel welcomed and valued in the future.

Burger patty has a funny taste, fries were stale, and I was given a beverage that taste like a combination of every soda they had. I did not have words with anyone at the establishment, this location was one of my favorites to grab a burger from until today 08April2024. Never going back.

It was horrible. I won't be going back. There were at least 4 vehicles pulled up to curb. I saw 2 vehicles leave even though they had paid for their food. There was 1 car in front of me. I waited over 30 minutes. When we got our food the burger was cold, fries were so hard I couldn't eat them. A waste of my time and money. Does Whatta Burger know what a real burger is? 🍔 It didn't look this good. My dog wouldn't eat the burger.

Absolutely horrible. Reporting this to bank for fraud. Went thru drive thru line ordered a whataburger meal and a spicy chicken sandwich meal without pickles and mayo with side of honey bbq. Got to cashier and paid but then told to pull up and it would be brought out. Simple order yet four vehicles who ordered after were given food. Looked at my receipt and was oddly handed a receipt that didn't match order. Advised cashier who told me yeah he gave me the wrong receipt yet couldn't provide me with the right one. (Not sure why it couldn't just be reprinted?!?) Even more oddly, the ticket on the order handed to me was handwritten. This makes me feel this restaurant is doing fraud. Order finally came out and my chicken sandwich was slathered in pickles and mayo which I hate and can't eat! Informed cashier and handed him my sandwich, which instead of repreparing they literally just gave me a new top bun! The chicken still had slight trace of mayo and tasted like mayo and pickles!!! At this point it just wasn't worth it so left. To add insult to injury entire order was cold, burger too was made incorrectly, and never received the BBQ sauce I ordered.

I come here strictly for my fiances cravings but I think it's quite ridiculous I have to wait 25+ minutes for a sandwich and fries, or just 2 sandwiches. This time I dined in to get my food to go and 3 people walked pass my order for 5 minutes until I got my food, my sauce I paid 88 cents for wasn't even there either. Fries are stone cold bread is chewy and soggy. I don't know how amy one can tolerate this complete lack of awareness and work ethic in the establishment.

Why offer curbside when they never bring it out? You have to go inside to grab your food that’s been sitting there getting cold. But they can come out to play on their phone and smoke.

The food is meh at best and the best explanation as to why is because they simply don’t care enough to prepare it properly. The service is god awful and this is all the way up to the manager. The worst thing of all though is the fact that they can’t get food right for the life of them. But why should the care really? If management doesn’t give a damn about the customer why should they?

Absolutely terrible experience my friend had today. While waiting for updates from the vet on an emergency visit, my friend went to go eat at this location. Not only did they not get their food that they paid for, the staff tried to make them pay twice for a mistake they literally couldn’t cause as they are literally a customer and have nothing to do with what happens behind the counter, and then proceeded to blame the customer. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable behavior. They need better customer service and overall organization.

I've been going here for year's with no problems. I decided this morning I was going to go through the drive thru to get some breakfast. Little did I know I would be waiting there 15 minutes at the window. Just to have the guy mess my order up. Then tell me what I ordered and didn't order. Like I don't know what came out of my own mouth. So, I asked to speak to the manager and guess what he's hiding in the back. Go figure. So, I call and speak to him. All he can do is tell me about how I am wrong. Wow, that's excellent customer service there. So long story short. Don't go to the Whataburger in Gonzales. They're not only stealing people's money but telling the customer that they are wrong.

Just sat in line at drive-thru about 10 mins as #3 to order. When there was still no movement & several behind me had left, I pulled out, too. There were NO VEHICLES ahead of that one waiting & waiting to have their order taken. I think I was #5 that had been in the drive-thru & left after waiting with no movement. This chain is the top 1-2 in fast food IMHO. On a cold, windy, rainy day, I have little time & less patience. Ridiculous that no one noticed the drive thru line was so long it was easily seen from inside.

There's no way to get your food "fast here" no one cares, employees don't care about their job or the customers, they also steal your change, my change has been taken a lot after a transaction, not to mention never ask for anything extra at the window sure enough they'll make you wait another 10 minutes for asking about extra pickles. I'm going to water burger since the 80s. When they opened app in Texas, I've gone to this store for a couple of years and I finally just stop going because I never get stuff right. I used to call in the order. They would still get certain things wrong finally. I just quit going everyday because it's the only place to open that early in the morning. That will customize your fool. It's on my way to work. However, they always make me run late. So I quit going for about a year? I just started going again a couple of days ago using the online system. I still had to call them just to make sure the coffee would be ready. We always have it ready. I'm thinking maybe they can change minterviews. Maybe they changed their method well. I went today which is the second time I've gone in over a year.No coffee, it's 4:30 in the morning.They know the morning crowd's coming.Make the coffee! But instead they make me run late. Yesterday I didn't say anything because they were a little busy. 4 vehicles in line even though ordered mine online to be ready. But it wasn't but I did call them once again. Hey, will you at least have the coffee ready? They assured me. They always have that coffeefreddie, and that was just fast. Talk not fast food nor fast coffee. Because I didn't call them this morning to remind them to make the coffee. I shouldn't have to do that. I actually had to call 3 times yesterday before that. Answer the phone once again that we're a little busy. I can wait a little bit couple of minutes this morning. I waited for almost 12 minutes after I got there. Mr. Whataburger owner, if you own the one in Gonzales I urge you. To have a serious pep talk with your employees.

Been to this location a few time and the times I've gone there is always something wrong with the food. Being that the fries are cold and or the burger is cold with cheese not properly melted staff is always joking and seems that the manager doesn't really takes his or her job seriously

This particular Whataburger has horrible service. Every time I go there, the wait is ridiculous. I've been to the one in Baton Rouge near LSU. They have great service & are much busier than the one in Gonzales. I don't think I'll be back, unless I feel like driving to BR.

I love the burgers here, especially the patty melt but I hate it!!! Every time I go and order my patty melt they never add onion, I mean!?!? How come they don't put onion?? That's what gives flavor to the burger, and every time I go, as always, I order the same one, even for the reason that they never add the onion, I tell them "with extra onion please" and it even seems like they do it on purpose and don't add the onion, the patty melt is my favorite burger and I hate eating it without onion and it's the thousandth time they've given it to me like that, that's why I had to comment on it to see if they pay attention to it, and the prices are too high as if they don't add the ingredients they contain oshh!! 🙄
