This should be a Michelin rated restaurant, why it is not is a mystery. I’d like to have shown a picture of the steak au pouve but i consumed it before i could think to do so. i also enjoyed the truffle pasta. The food & wine selection is top 1% of all establishments I have visited in the western hemisphere (which is all i can speak for). Highly recommend for appreciators of fine but not over stated cusine and the best wine selection on the island. 🙏 Julien and team!
We split the French onion soup and truffle pasta. To die for, says my wife. One of the better meals I’ve had in a long time.
Updated: We've come here twice since I last left a review, and are planning on coming back a 4th time before we leave. This place is a MUST visit for sure. Has to be one of the best restaurants on the island. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Everything we've ordered has been great, including the lobster, steak, snails, muscles, and pasta. Staff was also super nice and friendly including the owner who came and checked on us every visit.
Met someone at our hotel who suggested Le Bouchon as a great place to go for elegant dining! Have to agree the food was magnificent! We started with the foie gras which was excellent. We then both had the steak au poive. Great cut of meat cooked to perfection and the poive sauce was perfect! Location is just ok for a street side restaurant. 5 star food though.
Le Bouchon is our favorite restaurant on the island. We the food is spectacular and the ambiance is very special. It’s the only restaurant we came back to multiple times. Our favorites were the shrimp pasta and fish wrap. And their homemade hot sauce, which needs to be bottled and sold everywhere. It’s that good. Service was excellent. It’s right around the corner from the Ritz, and only a few minutes walk from Seven Stars and Grace Bay Club. Quality is superb and pricing is on par for the island. Their focaccia bread is also excellent. We knew we were in for a great meal when the fresh baked bread came out, along with fresh salad dressing that was delivered in a shaker. Everything here is homemade and superb!
Hands down, my favorite meal ever on the island. The food was so, so good. Cafe was very cute. Service was fantastic. I had the duck breast which was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The charcuterie board along with a couple glasses of wine was the perfect start to the meal too. We'll be back!!
Le Bouchon du Village is a culinary gem tucked into the heart of Grace Bay. With its intimate ambiance and French-inspired charm, it delivers exquisite meals that feel like a celebration of flavor. Yes, it leans toward the pricier side—but every bite justifies the splurge. From perfectly seared scallops to rich, velvety sauces and thoughtfully paired wines, the experience is indulgent in the best way.
I've been coming here for about 10 years now and the food and service is always on point. Julian and Michelle make sure to make everything feel very personal and give extra special attention to every detail. Our favorites are the escargot, oysters, tuna carpaccio, mussels, steak au poivre, truffles pasta, and shrimp pasta. Their menu is seasonal, but it's keeps a core of entrees throughout the year.
The food and service were excellent! It gets really busy here, so arrive early. Their foie gras and mussels were excellent for apps and my wife had their scallop dish while I had the mouthwatering rack of lamb for an entree. The wine list is impressive.
On our last night here, we had the pleasure of dining at this amazing French restaurant and it was our favorite of the entire trip. 10/10
Waw! We knew this restaurant, one of the best. However... we were pleased to find this one as the best ever :) Service was great, very polite, and quick. We were eating salad and fish, shrimp and have some local beers. Love it!
Had an amazing dinner here! Love that the menu is on the chalkboards with changes daily. So much to choose from! Staff was lovely and friendly! They were busy and hustling! The caprese salad was so flavorful and the steak au poivre was cooked perfectly medium rare with a delicious pepper sauce. A couple of glasses of wine and some bread and we were splendidly happy! I can highly recommend Le Bouchon Du Village!!!
Authentic french food. Really good. During our short stay we dined at this restaurant 3 times. We tried most of the menu. Everything was phenomenal. Service is friendly.
Third time here and the food is always amazing. This time we got the steak au poivre, the truffle pasta, a caesar salad, and the escargot. Delicious!
The food was very delicious and tasty , the ambiance relaxed, and the attention from the staff was on point. Tasha , our waiter was super attentive and accommodating some of our dietary restrictions and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and exceed our needs ! Thank you!
We pretty much went to all the hot spots and this was by far our favorite restaurant. It’s a must visit when it TCI. We got the duck and truffle pasta 🤤 Julian took amazing care of us, we’ll definitely be back.
The best meal we’ve had on the island so far. We started with a caprese salad which included a delicious pesto. We shared the snapper and lobster pasta for entree and both were excellent. Service was attentive and friendly.
Great place to go for lunch or dinner. We have been coming here for years, and this is one of our main go to places. The owner Julian has created a unique dinning experience on the island. Great costumer service, excellent food, and wonderful laid back atmosphere. Not your typical tropical resort food spot, but a place that prides itself on authentic French food. Excellent selection of wines, cheeses and meats. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and drinks, service was A-plus
Excellent meal and service. A little on the expensive side but it was fresh and delicious. Coming from the beaches resort you kinda forget what foodie level food tastes like. It was absolutely worth it.
One of the best places to eat here in TCI. Amazing authentic french food and the staff is really nice and helpful. The best choices are the scallops risotto, truffle pasta and the steak au poivre.
Lovely spot, great food, lots of smiles and the owners are the nicest people you ever meet! La Bouchon is located at the heart of Grace Bay and at the middle of all the coolest spots this beautiful island has to offer. Definitely check it out and enjoy a memorable patio time there. Thank you Julien and Michelle for the amazing black bean soup. It was so yummy 😋🙏🥰
Last night was my 2nd visit at Le Bouchon Du Village and it was fantastic! Julien and Michelle are warm and welcoming, the food is fresh and delicious and the patio is beautiful. Definitely don't skip this spot for lunch or dinner while you're visiting TCI. I had the fresh grouper which just melted in your mouth. The accompanying vegetables were wonderful as well! Everyone at our table had a great dish.
What an absolute gem. We stumbled upon this place, and they accommodated us with a great table even though we did not have reservations and the restaurant was packed. We will definitely be back.
Like everything in Grace Bay, very expensive to outsiders. However, no more expensive than any other place here. And the steak is exquisite. The best I’ve eaten, anywhere.
The grouper and conch burgers were amazing and a “pure”, and local delight. Kids had less sporting Wagyu burgers and they didn’t disappoint them. The owner, a realistic islander, provided a very welcome invite to a shaded table and was kind - considerate and ready to prepare some great food. The cooking staff did not disappoint. Fries were crispy - vegetables fresh and the accommodating sauces worked well with the dishes (especially the conch burgers) Conch burgers (conch) - not for every palette. But I’m sure the beefy, chicken or other dishes worked well well with any discriminating taste - and I’m even more sure a suggested pairing with a fine wine is one notion of interest away from completing a quaint and sudden date stop for discerning couples. Pricey - but worth it.
Hands down the best restaurant on the island. My wife and I both had the swordfish on our first visit and the snapper on the second. Both were incredible. The profiteroles for dessert were amazing as well. We will be booking multiple dinner reservations here the next time we are on the island. Bravo Julien!
We have come to Turks and Caicos three times now and this is truly the most delicious and all around best meal. Gregory is an experienced, knowledgeable waiter who will give you the best recommendations. The lobster pasta was easily one of the top pastas I've ever had along with the steak poivre. Service and atmosphere come close to topping the amazing meal my family enjoyed. I couldn't recommend this more!
Totally fantastic. Wonderful French / Caribbean menu, fantastic food and cocktails. Very nice courtyard outside seating. This was one of the clear favorites of the week we were there, and if we return to this destination, this restaurant would be a must. Highly recommend.
This place was incredible to say the least! We ate at the main restaurant as well as their cafe across the street for breakfast (twice it was that good). The staff were all very friendly. Out of all of the restaurants we had on the island this was by far our best experience. Food quality was top notch (we’re foodies and love wine). We probably would have passed on this restaurant at first glance on Google however our Airbnb host recommended it so we gave it a go. I’m very glad we did! Don’t think twice about going to the cafe in the morning for breakfast. We even tried their pizza one of the days and oh boy was the crust incredible. One of the best cappuccinos and don’t get me started on the quiche.
Beautiful breezy patio. Snapper fish of the day was delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Fish & chips were awesome - loved the tartar sauce!! Will be back
Last minute idea ....we were staying at the beach's resort which the food was horrible.... doing some shopping stop by saw the menu on a chalkboard. . . Best meal we had all seven days.We had fresh fish. The kids had homemade pasta. What a gem.We will be back. Unreal meal.
While on vacation with a friend, we met a couple at our resort who made a point to tell us about this restaurant and how great it was. When we ventured into town later that day, we spotted a cute restaurant with outdoor seating we had to check out, and it was the this one! The owner seated us and told us about the menu. Everything we had was amazing, including the cocktails. Every dish was simple but packed with flavor. It had a wonderful, refined, but relaxed air. We were so sorry we only discovered it on the last night because we wanted to come again. Can't recommend this place highly enough! You'll love it!
We went to le Buchon with a group of 4. First, sitting on the side-walk and talking a picture of the menu on a chalkboard is a different experience. at the beginning the service was very good, not excellent. the cocktails were ok. Apps, Salmon capaccio was ok. The escargot were very much over-garlic and less of the butter. We had the Cowgirl steak, the peppercorn steak, pasta and duck. the cowgirl steak was charred but otherwise well prepared. The peppercorn steak was perfectly cooked. The duck was well prepared, but the sauce was way too sweet. The scallop pasta was good. While we were sitting and waiting for someone to come and ask about desert or even if we want anything else, nobody came and all for sudden the check was on the table. Very strange we found. Would we good back? Hm, tough question, maybe. Service was ok, food was good, but overall experience and price not very well balanced.
Don’t get me wrong this place has amazing food, it is delicious and very good. My problem with this restaurant is it is way too overpriced. Yes I know we’re in Turks and Caicos‘s but for what you get it’s not worth the dollars. The food is five star, the service was good but I just think the price is just a damper on the experience. Given the minimal ambience and the competition in the area I would choose Coco Bistro over this place for sure. But if you want to switch it up by all means eat here, it is very good. Your meal will not disappoint. The shrimp pasta was very good the sauce is mouthwatering and the snapper was also very well cooked.
My husband and I dined at this restaurant last evening. It’s a small French restaurant in the Regent Village in the downtown section. There is a small bar and restroom inside the building, but all of the dining tables are outside. The hostess who greeted us never cracked a smile including at the end of the evening when she took our payment. The young man who showed us to the table was very quiet and again no smile. The one female staff member who took our drink and dessert order did greet us with a smile, did not introduce herself though, and was very pleasant. I like when a staff member at a restaurant greets you and introduces themselves so you know who you’re dealing with. Even with the gentleman that came to take our food order, I had to ask him his name for my review because he was informative and nice. I came to find out he is the co-owner of the establishment. Julian was friendly and engaging and accommodating to my dietary needs. My suggestion to him would be to train his personnel on how to be more friendly and engaging with his clientele and to always welcome them with a smile. It does make a difference! Now onto the food… I ordered the caprese salad to start with. I have to say it was the best caprese I have ever eaten. The tomatoes and mozzarella were served on top of greens with kalamata olives in the corners of the plate as well as onion and cucumber. The best part, though, was the dollop of pesto sauce in one corner...it really elevated this salad. My husband ordered the conch chowder to start and the wahoo for his entrée. The soup was a generous portion and had a hint of spice and was full of fish. He also enjoyed his entrée as wahoo is not an easy fish to find on menus. I had the grilled lobster along with steamed vegetables as my entrée. Again, the portion was generous with two perfectly grilled lobster tails presented out of their shells. For dessert, we couldn’t make up our minds so I asked Julian to choose for us. A wonderful decadent chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream and a strawberry came to our table. It was perfect, light with an intense chocolate flavor. We really enjoyed our food experience at this restaurant. I would definitely recommend Le Bouchon for their selection of fresh fish and wonderfully prepared food. I hope that the staff, though, gets trained a little better as far as being warm and welcoming to the guests.
So, as pictured, I had truffle pasta with steak, which I approve as a steak lover. The steak was tender, flavourful and cooked to perfection. Overall I rate my experience a 4 out of 5 for my first visit to Le Bouchon. I sat at the bar, but I wouldn't recommend it because the heat from the kitchen is noticeable, and I left smelling like I worked in the kitchen. Aside from that, everything else was good. Ritchie, the bartender, was friendly, and the music was enjoyable. Among others, I heard some old school Micheal Jackson.
I’d rate this place as “good.” Conch ceviche was excellent. Steak au poivre was acceptable. As a bakery owner, I was disappointed in the crème brûlée as it was curdled. Very good service overall. Enjoyed my experience with French food more at Provence, though.
We had a family dinner at this restaurant. Almost all seating is outdoors, which is nice when the weather holds up. The atmosphere is delightful- intimate tables and nice lighting. There is no menu to refer to at the table. You have to take a picture and review the options on a device. Service was subpar. At one point, the attitude was apathetic, at best. Very Parisian in that sense. 😀 The food was solid. We had red snapper and wagyu steak. Prices were market for the island, so not overpriced, relatively speaking. They have kid options that are ok. Both kids chose the steak, which was not flavorful but delivered good portions. In short, if you’re getting something off of the main menu and not the kids’, you’ll most likely enjoy the meal and certainly the atmosphere. Just don’t take the server’s attitude personally.
Nice dining experience except for the owner was so rude when I asked what would medium be on the steak he replied “ medium same as everywhere else”! We did not find out until later he was the owner we would have thought he was a new untrained waiter with that rude reply.
A wonderful local place with divine food and excellent service. The conch chowder is our favorite in Turks and the fresh fish and bread are amazing. In a back street so it’s a little off the path … but well worth the find. Only small issue was the local insects but it is manageable. Highly recommend.
I wanted to like this place, but it’s just not that good. The menu is very uninspired and the pasta was bland. However, the salmon was PERFECTLY cooked. The chefs in the back are really keeping the whole place together. I’ve never had properly-cooked salmon from a restaurant before and a lot of it has to do with the fact that most places and people don’t seem to know what properly cooked salmon looks like. And the steak was cooked very well. The entire kitchen deserves a raise. One of the waitresses was also super rude and had an attitude since we got there. The owner was nice and the other waiter was nice but he never came back with our check. Atmosphere was fine, felt like they were trying a little too hard to feel high end but falling short. The fake flowers as table pieces were a bit tacky.
Small portions of steak poivre which was pretty good. The steak is what they are known for so could have been better. Shrimp pasta was good but quite creamy.
Grouper was salty, white rice was good Shrimp pasta: shrimp was salty, pasta cream sauce was good
We ate here last night December 27th. My girlfriend ordered the conch soup and the branzino. She got violently ill from one of those two dishes causing us to stay an extra day of travel so she can get better. If you eat here stick to common foods not found on the island. Service was rushed and tried charging us twice for cork fee.
The food here is very good, the service is horrific. No specific waiter for each table. The staff know next to nothing about the menu (like what type of pasta comes with shrimp pasta?). They have no idea about who has ordered which dish. They bring a water bottle with extra dressing for your Caesar salad (that’s a first!). Many of the wait staff give a vibe that they wish they were somewhere else. If you read the reviews on Tripadvisor many mention the brutal service. And they add 10% service to the bill, then want 15 to 20% tip on top of that. I would suggest you steer clear of this place, ownership clearly could care less about providing a decent dining experience.
Crimes against French food alert! Lobster cooked to charred burned taste and bouncy hard to chew ! I should have sent it back:/. But the waitress was not approachable- never sure if she ignored us or didn’t understand English well too so we just left the food on the plate paid the bill - and left - wanting no drama. What a let down after reading good reviews! My dh had snapper - it was just ok. They weren’t busy at all - no excuse there. Over $180 - at least the wine was good!
Bad Service & Very expensive with small portions. Waited 1 hour for drinks to arrive and when I asked that they be taken off the bill the waitress got very rude. There are too many restaurants better & less expensive on the island. However, if you want to pay for $50-80 entrees, $27 for 12 pieces of calamari and have bad service, enjoy!
I’ve been going to Turks & Caicos with my family for over 20 years now. I have never seen such awful and incompetent service. We waited for well over an hour just to have water and a bottle of wine. We called for the check after receiving no service to simply order food. There was an apology but not from our own waiter…. Understaffed is an understatement.
Today, my husband and I ordered food from your restaurant. I specifically ordered the snapper and chips (fries), 3 pieces. Upon receiving the food, everything initially appeared fine. However, once we returned to our hotel to eat, I noticed that the fish was burnt on the other side. As a result, I only ate most of the fries. Due to a full day of excursions, we weren’t able to return immediately to address the issue. Later, when time permitted, my husband went back to inform the staff of the situation. The young lady who initially served us was kind, apologized for the inconvenience, and offered to remake the food. However, shortly after, another woman — whom we assumed to be the manager — came out and stated that because several hours had passed, and because one piece of fish was missing and the fries had been eaten, she would only remake two pieces of fish. In all my experiences dining out, I have never encountered a manager who refused to either remake the full order or offer a refund when there was a valid complaint. This felt like poor customer service and a missed opportunity to uphold the restaurant’s reputation. After they remade the two pieces of fish, my husband ultimately decided to leave them behind, as it no longer felt worth the trouble. Frankly, the container the food was packed in likely cost more than those two pieces of fish. Overall, this was a very disappointing way to handle a legitimate concern and certainly not how one would expect a business to ensure customer satisfaction. Response: Let’s be clear — the timing of me returning my food is irrelevant. I’m not looking for anything from you; I’m pointing out a basic failure: a paying customer was served burnt food. That alone is unacceptable. To suggest I returned the food “in bad shape” is simply false. The food was already burnt when it was served to me. That is the issue — not how it was returned. My order was fish and chips: three strips of fish on a bed of lettuce with fries. I returned two untouched pieces of fish and a handful of fries. To call that “most of the meal” is a reach and feels like an attempt to shift blame onto the customer rather than acknowledge the mistake.
