Hands down the best meal we had in Granada. Exquisite quisquillas, melt-in-the-mouth tuna sashimi and the most delicious grilled octopus I’ve ever tasted. The service was impeccable, and the wine recommendation — a wonderfully buttery Pouilly Fuissé — was was spot on. Just wish we had time to go back!
One of the best restaurants we visited during our visit to Granada was @bar_fm_granada. Besides the fresh seafood, the way they process it was truly remarkable. Because good product doesn't always convert to good food. Dried Octopus (€19.5), Octopus Head (€3), and Shrimp (€22) were all dishes that demanded impeccable mastery. Similarly, the calamari, oysters, and anchovies impressed us with their product quality. It's a very small restaurant with limited seating. Reservations are mandatory, and we learned during our visit that this restaurant is also on the Michelin list. KaimBros strongly recommends it.
Bar FM worths the walk even in the heat of the summer in Granada. Excellent seafood with the minimum touch needed to extol the product, a stunning champagne, sherry and white wine list and kind service makes it an essential place for an informal lunch or dinner far away of the touristic area
If you appreciate good seafood, you will love this place. Genuinely curious why there are bad reviews - this was some of the best food and wine we’ve had in Spain. Pricey yes, but all the prices are listed. Just ask what’s good, sit back and enjoy. Two men from Valencia next to us could not stop raving either.
Bar FM is the place I was looking forward to visiting after seeing it on Turkish food critic Vedat Milor’s posts and articles for years. The food? The following five dishes totally blew us away! - Puntillitas, Chopitos, Chipirones (baby squid) - Raw Quisquillas (blue belly shrimp) - Grilled Quisquillas - Raf tomatoes 2nd review - May 25: We made another trip to Granada just to eat at Bar FM again. Having dined at several other high-quality restaurants in the Andalucia region, we noticed just how exceptional Bar FM is, from the quality of the ingredients to the precision of the cooking. The staff are also outstanding, if you’re unsure what to choose, you can confidently rely on their recommendations. My preferred dishes remain unchanged since my last visit, as listed above.
This was an incredible meal. One of our best in Spain. The food was incredibly fresh. Yes the food is a little expensive but you get what you pay for. The quality you could taste - the ingredients speak for themselves. I would highly recommend the tomato salad, grilled baby squid, grilled cuttlefish, prawns, fried monkfish and grilled langostinos. The scallop crudo was incredible. I would skip the tuna tataki. It was incredibly fresh but there are better things on the menu.
If you're a seafood lover, look no further than this gem of a restaurant! We ordered octopus, red mullet, tomato salad, Raw Quisquillas, grilled baby squid and fried artichokes. Everything was amazing but especially we really liked octopus, fried artichokes and quisquillas. Restaurant was far away from old town. But with top-notch service, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding seafood, this restaurant deserves a solid 5 out of 5 stars!
Don’t trust any bad reviews here and take a chance to go to this restaurant, while in Granada! Yes, the paycheck is bit higher compared to a typical tapabar, but concept is totally different and it‘s a very HIGH quality fish and seafood. Price/quality ratio is thus still very attractive. My absolute favorite were baby squids. Dry octopus was a new dimension to me, also very tasty. Prawns were extremely tender, i liked raw version more. Muscles were very juicy. Fried hack is a great value for money, also very tender.
Truly fantastic food, great service. This restaurant is very deserving of being in the Michelin Guide. Our table was on the terrace, which does offer a bit more seating space. We let the waiter guide us through the menu, and he did not disappoint. Highly recommend doing the same. Had the Quisquillas (shrimp) two ways - raw and a la plancha (from the grill). Couldn't pick a winner as both were fantastic. Other highlights included the dried octopus (pulpo) and the monkfish. Would definitely go back.
I went to this restaurant based on its recommendation by the Michelin guide. I never trust this guide blindly, but they were spot on with this restaurant. I went there twice. This is a very special place, even its location is out of the ordinary, a small shop not in the center, touristy part of Granada but almost out in the suburbs. I had to go there and back by cab. The restaurant serves only seafood and fish plus a few vegetable dishes as starters / tapas. No meat dishes, not even desserts. The seafood and fish were of the best quality and were cooked simply, steamed, grilled or fried. Patrons were mostly local Spanish people. The prawns and baby squids from Motril were brilliant. The grilled hake was also delicious. All were grilled and drizzled with olive oil and a bit of pesto. See photos. Antonio was my waiter for both lunches. His recommendations for both food and wine were excellent. I will go back to this place next time I’m in Granada.
Stunning quality seafood and excellent wine list. I really loved the dried and grilled octopus. The fresh seafood was pristine quality. Easily the largest and best cigala I’ve ever had (as it might be due to the price!) My limited experience in Granada is that most people like to go out to socialize and eat and drink the same quality food and wine throughout the city, but about 95% of these places serve the same food and the same wines…salmorejo, flamenquin, ensaladilla, albondigas. And everything with fried potatoes and peppers. Some Ramon Bilbao by the glass or caña. It’s a reliable formula. Well, for us, that got old. Bar FM is not that. Bar FM is world class ingredients and execution with a very good wine list at fair prices, and excellent service. Yes, this comes at a price. For us, it’s more than worth it. There’s always someone saying “you can get better/equal product for cheaper”. Well, please share the names of these mysterious restaurants!
Stunning seafood! Great representation of produce cuisine. Just go there, sit at the counter and trust the staff to recommend you the best produce they have. Everything ultra fresh! Equally amazing wines. Careful: they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, because there is no fresh fish on these days. Highly recommended, not cheap, but worth the price!

We walked to this place without reservations on our first Granada night. We can only eat at the bar but the food is fresh and very nice.
The front desk of the place I stayed recommended this seafood restaurant. More like a fine cuisine than a typical seafood place. Of course on the very high side of prices. Food quality was really good but the portions not big enough. I had 3 of half portions and a starter but could’ve easily had more if my pocket would have allowed lol
The place is small. They have very friendly stuff. But the prices are very high. Like average beer is 6-8€ a glass and a huge minus is that they don’t have tapas.
