Absolutely great restaurant and our waitress was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious. We ordered gator tail and the fish! Both were absolutely fantastic. Huge portions and we took leftovers home! The dressings are homemade and I felt a sense of Florida with the gator tail! Margarita was perfectly blended and strong! We will most definitely be back! 😁

First time we went here was Memorial Day Weekend and we loved it. Very unique seating outside over looking the water and boats. Staff was amazing and even took the time out to tell my kiddos if you have any fries left over the fish over there love them. You just can’t beat the atmosphere very family oriented.

I would give it 10 stars because they care about the customer’s health since I felt a little dizzy and they immediately approached to give me the necessary attention. I recommend it. It was not possible to travel by boat because there was no longer availability. Everything was rented. What it means that it is a place where you eat delicious food and enjoy other activities. The dizziness thing was that I suffer from vertigo when there is movement.

First and foremost they were slammed, which did take time for food and drinks to arrive,but when it did the drinks were delicious and food , incredible honestly so good.Our waitress was amazing checking on us constantly and getting everything we asked for despite being so busy. The band was one of the best live bands we have ever seen,that guitarist was fire it's insane how amazing he was.The saxophone 🎷 was perfection,the whole band just did there thing.The locals that were at the restaurant that night were so much fun as well, I am honestly just so sad that we don't live close enough to frequent more often because it was so much fun and you can't get a better quality of wrap and club sandwich , seriously the best perfect buttery toasted bread and the fries were hot and delicious.It was such a fun memorable night! Rockin S y'all are doing it right, everyone around us loved the food,the vibes and the entertainment.Our waitress with dark hair where the band was playing was wonderful,she took great care of everyone around us ,she had her hands full but she didn't forget anything.Cant rave enough! The new owner and Christie, the manager, have done a great job correcting the small issues! Now the menu is available all hours they're open and they are staying open later. The atmosphere, the food and the service are great! I can't wait to see what all the positive changes they're going to make.

All the food we've tried has been excellent and the staff is great. One of the best places to eat in Granbury. If you have little ones who like to roam, the side game room is good to eat in because all of the doors outside are locked except one, and out the toy prize games are only 50 cents.

We stopped in here on a Friday evening for dinner and some drinks. It was our first time there so didn’t know what to expect. We were told they just opened a week ago so it made sense that it wasn’t very busy and there was not many waitstaff working. Once we finally did get a waitress she was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the jalapeño poppers. They were huge and great! I got the shrimp street tacos which were very tasty. My friend got the chicken street tacos. She said hers were pretty dry and not good at all. My husband got the fried catfish. He said it was good. My friend’s husband got the fried shrimp basket. He said it was good. I would imagine the entire experience would be different once it gets warmer and they ramp up for Spring/Summer. We will try it again in a few months. Oh, and the only vodka they had that night was Tito’s or well. They definitely need to stock up on different brands! The people sitting at the bar were very friendly and the bar staff was too!

Stopped by Rockin S in Granbury a few times with my wife and each time we've been very impressed! On Fridays they have all you can eat Catfish for $15 and $5 margaritas. Both are VERY excellent! Honestly the margaritas are better than all the Mexican restaurants I've tried in the area. My wife has ordered their chicken quesadilla and it's also better than the ones at the nearby Mexican restaurants. Service has been awesome as well eachtime and you can't beat the atmosphere being right on the water. They also have live music sometimes. Will be one of our go to spots from now on.

We have come here frequently over the last four years and I have to say that it has never been a better place than it is now under the new owner. The owner is extremely attentive, the people bring an amazing vibe, the beers are ice cold, and the food is great. It is the place to be for trivia on Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, College Football on Saturday and the Dallas game on Sunday (or the Steelers if you are one of THOSE people! LOL).

We decided to give this place a try, we were not disappointed! Food was so good!! Made fresh. Thr French fries are AMAZING! My husband had the burger, huge and so juicy. I had the catfish hoagie, OMG so flavorful. My son had the chicken strip, he said they were the best he had had in a long time.

Fun sports type atmosphere. Live band outside at times, plenty to choose from on the multiple TVs inside. Team members are friendly and helpful. Food is always fresh & hot and ive yet to get a bad meal or experience here. Since moving to town a few months ago this has become one of our favorite hangouts

Stopped in for lunch for the first time in a while. We had the hamburger and chicken club. Both were really good. My daughter has a dairy issue and our waitress Gabrielle was the sweetest! She went out of her way to make my daughter a smoothie since she couldn’t have the ice cream or sherbet. We will absolutely ask for her next time! The manager came over twice while we were to ensure everything was good. Great experience! Thanks Gabrielle!!

We really enjoyed eating outside next to the water. The food was so good! I recommend the strawberry pecan salad. Yum! The presentation was very appealing. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was awesome! She checked on us often. We really enjoyed eating here!

New ownership is excellent! The grilled chicken club was absolutely spectacular. The atmosphere was just right. When we gasses up our boat, they even offered us free ice for our coolers. Not a game changer, but it's the little things that make a day on the lake that much better. Keep up the great work in turning that place around!

The new owner of this place has done an exceptional job turning this place around. They've remodeled it and turned this into a great place to relax after a day at the lake or just needing a place to watch the games. Good has been great, staff are friendly. One of our new favs in town.

They are always trying their best. The owners/managers are so very kind and are really putting in the work. Ive seen them working and hustling their tails off every time. After several visits, you can see struggles with staffing. On a Friday night, service is usually SLOW. Ive definitely waited over 15 minutes to order a drink and even longer for food. Its more a place you go for social vibes. So if your looking for a quick dinner... maybe call it in to go. The food is as expected for a bar/grill. They try to accommodate everyone. Its a good place. Loud. But good. We've just decided that they like to encourage good conversations and fun times. 😁

Stopped by on my way to nowhere land from Fort Worth. The place is great. Needed to sit down for a beer and some lunch after driving across our great state of Texas! Give it a shot. Great food. Great people. And Bethany at the bar killed it today! Will be back!

This place is great! Just what Granbury needed! It has new owners who are investing in all of the right areas…and it shows! Great management and staff. It has ALL of the games showing on the 35+ TVs. And they’ll stay open if the game goes late! Lots of live bands booked on the patio. Special events like dueling pianos, etc. And a weekly trivia night on Wednesdays.

My friend and I went there tonight and really had a good time! Watch the Texas game, which turned out to be outstanding! Our waitress Jesse was incredible and very attentive, the food was really good. We got the catfish plate! The atmosphere was very relaxing. I will say the only downside is going out on the patio and a narrow area with no railing at the lake side. It’s a small narrow patio, but it was still very comfortable. They had live music and the band was pretty good. Will we go back here again, most definitely!

***Not your normal, sub-par marina restaurant*** Out for a bike ride and stopped to enjoy a drink and lunch on the water. To say that we were impressed is an understatement. First - the service was top notch. We sat at the bar, Christian was not only attentive, but friendly and engaging. We ordered Chicken Quesadillas and the Strawberry Pecan Chicken salad. That salad was gorgeous! I highly recommend the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. And this is a personal preference, but those quesadillas were toasted perfection! Lots of chicken and talk about thiiiiic. So good! We love Granbury, and now we have a favorite destination restaurant. Thanks Christian for taking care of us!

We started not to stop because the reviews were so mixed but we did and honestly happy. The service was quick. Our waitress, Melissa, was FANTASTIC! Very helpful, polite, attentive, and a great sense of humor. The food came quickly and was hot and tasty. We would recommend and will return on our next trip to town.

The service was great. The draft beer was down and has been so all summer. That is one of the draws for us, and it looks like it will not be working any time soon. The food is OK. It has never had a wow factor for us. We come to rockin s now primarily because we have a boat, it's on the water and convenient.

I love this please. We took my daughter here after her first layered hair cut to somewhat celebrate. I was sad to see they were experiencing a staff shortage (like everyone else). However, the waitress was great bringing us a free appetizer to compensate for the wait. They kept apologizing about the wait. The food was EXCELLENT as every other time I've been there. My absolute favorite is the Gator Basket (ask for the orange sauce). In the past we have feed catfish and baby ducks here right off the back porch eating area.

It was our first time here - I know this place just opened back up again. The staff were incredibly kind and wonderful to our group. When there were issues with the food or delays they were extremely accommodating to correct the issue and it was overall a pleasant experience despite some mishaps. My only complaint would be that the prices are a little steep. $4 for a dr. pepper and $14 for a chicken salad (that was easily less than 2 oz of minced meat) is a little much IMO. We will be back, we loved the servers and the owner, and look forward to trying again

Access is slightly hindered, but once you're in the parking lot, you have a sense of having found an exclusive location. The environment has the feeling of part sports bar, part boat club, and all friendly. The flavor, quality and preparation of the food has surpassed any and all of this type in Hood County. That being said - the service was disappointing. There was a total of three other tables occupied in house, and yet, our waitress seemed more interested in socializing with her colleagues and checking her phone. Over all, it's a place I would definitely consider frequently patronizing. We'll see if the service is improved if I return.

Waitress misunderstood and didn't clarify my parents' order to them. As a result only one catfish basket was entered as their order when there were to be 2 of the baskets. We did get the order rectified and the second basket was brought out quickly. When we checked out, we asked multiple times for a box. Then the waitress cleared off the one basket with fries without asking if we wanted to box those, too. Maybe turn down the music a bit so the waitress can hear better? The food was good and came out in a timely manner. I would eat there again.

I went into this place it was pretty cool atmosphere but I walked around and nobody came up to me wanting to see me anything. All kinds of stuff standing around but, I finally had to go up to them and ask them am I supposed to seat myself or what. Once I got a waitress she was very nice but she came every 2 minutes to ask me if I needed anything! I personally don't like that! I just wish they would leave me alone and let me eat. All they have to do is just look my way and if I make eye contact with them looking like I need something then, come up to me but, don't keep bugging me! The food was pretty good! Atmosphere was good as well! The training of the stuff needs to change, though. Let people eat in peace. You don't have to keep going up to them, asking asking asking asking asking asking asking asking......

My husband and I ordered the seafood platter, upon it's arrival the waitress informs us they were out of hush puppies. She tells us we could order another side if we liked, so we asked "what sides are available"? Not knowing the answer, the waitress walked to the hostess stand to look at the menu. As she's looking at the menu, we started eating. Our food was cold. Maybe it was a just a bad night. After hearing so many people say how great the food was, I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't say the same. I will say that the atmosphere is great!

Fried pickles should be golden brown. Tea should be filled with ice. Not busy for a beautiful Sunday, but tables were not clear or clean outside. 🤔 Seasoned fries were golden and delicious. Out of coleslaw. Fish baskets contained very oil soaked fish. Some shrimp was so so and another basket of shrimp was golden and tasty. Do not order alligator platter _ disappointing. Eat someplace else for a better meal.

Friday night and the restaurant was not very busy. Service was ok but apparently a disconnect between the kitchen and wait staff. Food was decent but not awesome. Bathroom was nasty, sticky floor, no soap. This establishment has changed owners several times and I would imagine it won't be long before it shuts down again. The floating restaurant atmosphere is unique, I just wish a little more pride would be taken from management.

Staff was friendly, but not ready for a crowd. We were here for a party and provided plenty of notice to staff accordingly, but they did not. Food and drinks were standard bar fare. The floating, "rocking" building was soothing to me, but not so much for others. Worth checking out if your in town.

It was okay. We were a party of 11. Granted, we got there about an hour or so before closing, so could not order from the full menu...could order just from the appetizer menu. It took a bit to get our food, and when we did, 3 of the orders were incorrect. That got straightened out eventually. Asked for sweetener for tea....it was never brought, so found some ourself from another table. When we got our ticket, there were items on it that we did not order nor receive, but that was corrected. Review your ticket before you pay. The waitress was very nice...I think it was her first week on the job, so some of the errors were to be expected....she repeated each of our orders as she wrote them down, so I feel the incorrect orders were not her fault. Overall, it was okay, but we probably won't choose to eat here again.

Food was very good best part about this place, been here a few times I always sit on the patio, and my last experience wasn’t very good. We had a gentleman start up his boat to leave and smoked out the whole patio smelling like smoke and having people choked up. Than when he left another guy came by and when he got off his boat he lit a cigarette right beside our table literally standing on the other side of the rail an arm length away. While there is a no smoking or vaping on premises sign right at our table, I see dogs running around and there are signs that say no pets, the waitresses do the best they can with coming by and seeing if we need anything bc but there is a complete lack of management when it comes to some of these rules bc I almost threw up all of my food getting nothing but cigarette smoke in my face at my table, it’s not all on the restaurant they just have to deal with the bad people that come to the establishment

Our ministry group came here for our yearly outing. Great atmosphere and we enjoyed ourselves as a group. We could hear the live music in the next room. We had like 35 people and we called ahead to make sure they knew we were coming. Understandable that this large of a group could be challenging but it could have been better. I watched people come in after us get their food before us. Each of us would get our food at different times so that meant each got done at different times. Me and mine was the very last ones that got our food last which meant everyone was waiting on us to eat which made us feel like we had to rush thru our food because our whole group was ready to go. So I didn't get to truly enjoy the food since it was rushed. I did notice that I could tell that it tasted like they needed to change out their oil. Probably would have tasted a bit better. Others stated the same thing. Even with these issues again we did enjoy ourselves and we will return but I hope a better system can be worked out for a large group.

The only thing good about this place was the band and the waitress. Our waitress was phenomenal. We ordered what we thought we street tacos. Not even close. The corn tortillas were so dry they fell apart and there was maybe a tablespoon (if that) of meat in them. We wanted chips and salsa and was told that the chips weren’t very good because they were stale. We won’t be back.

I went there to meet up with a childhood friend and her family who was passing through town. I didn't pick this place... they did. In fact, I asked if she was sure that was where they wanted to eat. She said yes, so I said I'll give it a shot. The food was subpar. Everything tasted like it came to the restaurant frozen. They sat us by the kitchen door even though we were the only ones in the restaurant except for a few people who were sitting at the bar. The waitress was nice, but every time she went into the kitchen, she and the kitchen staff would start yelling and cussing at each other so loud we could hear every word. The place seemed clean, but it smelled. I'm not sure if it was because we were on the lake or if it was the restaurant. I have been living in Granbury for almost 10 years. I have never been to that restaurant until then and won't ever go back. Neither will my friends.

We live in the area and have watched it go through many owners. We went to Rockin’ S because it’s on the lake with ambiance. BUT ITS STILL TRULY A NO! FOOD IS, AT BEST, AVERAGE, but often comes over cooked.… AND DUE TO THE, AT BEST, AVERAGE FOOD, PRICING IS GROSSLY HIGH! $20 (Tax Incl) and before tip for a grilled chicken sandwich w/fries that falls well short of a Chick-fil-A grilled sandwich). SERVICE DISORGANIZED and SLOW, SLOW SLOW (But we took care of our server). Food is largely prepackaged fried (I owned and operated a restaurant for 15 years) but some grilled & made fresh. Have a drink on the deck, and watch the boaters but unless you like overpaying for very average to low quality food… Just don’t do it. With solid pricing and better operations this could be a very good place but it’s unfair to gouge people just because you’re on the lake… You could serve generous and quality food without gouging and it would be a license to print money… But still…NO THANKS!

Visited at 1pm on 6/14 and sat outside with a friend. A dog immediately started barking which I thought was unusual because a sign said No Pets. Ordered the steak nachos which didn't even fill the basket up and you could definitely tell they smeared some beans on some chips but missed a few put cheese on them and then dumped some pre-cooked and precut steak in the basket and put it in the microwave for 30seconds. Definitely Not worth $17 maybe 9.95 at most. In the mean time the dog continues to barking. Very annoying while trying to talk. Beer is served in a plastic cup! Really!! Gets hot halfway thru drinking. Paid the tab which was 65 dollars for two people and walk inside to leave and a lady is sitting at the bar holding a dog!! I refuse to eat at establishments that allow pets inside and serve crappie food. Won't be back

I ordered shrimp tacos which were tasty but lacked flavor. No special sauce and the basket came with tortilla chips and salsa. Basket was not cheap. Also, our brownie desserts came out without whipped cream and strawberry as stated on the menu. Waitress insisted it came that way and the clearly it was not on the menu. I just looked it up on line. It's there. Got cheated out of the toppings.

Love the place. Walked in at 8:45 on a Friday (Google said they closed at 11:00) Felt like we were in a scene from Game of Thrones. “Shame Shame Shame” as the lady (guessing manager?) yelled. “They get appetizer menus” (or something close to that) and everyone turned to look. Then we were serenaded by the same lady every so often as she went around reminding everyone out loud they closed at 10:00. So if you want just the appetizer menu and mildy cold draft beer in a plastic cup… step right on in an hour and change before they close (what we thought was almost 2 hours) Guess business hours are just a suggestion…(Want to be gone earlier? Close earlier. Yeah it sucks if someone walks in a closing but they still showed up within YOUR hours. Much less little over an hour before closing. Sorry my schedule is busy!) Appetizers were not too bad and all but the “reminder lady” were pleseant. She might be nice… just unprofessional. Don’t need to feel like “mom is mad at me” while paying to eat dinner with my family. We stayed to give it a try… wont be back due to principle.

First time experience here was really subpar. The gator was really chewy. Their special gator sauce tasted like FISH. It was revolting. I asked for a margarita and my glass had pink lipstick on the rim. When I asked for a beer instead, the waitress let me know it comes in a can and if I wanted her to pour it in a glass…????? No? I just got a dirty glass. The whole point in the switch was to NOT have a glass. So that sort of blew my mind. The nachos were great but a lot of just plain chips with no cheese or anything, and the tiny portions of guac sour cream and pico that comes with it is comical. Prices seemed weirdly high for not great quality food at all. Likely won’t return.

Hush puppies were raw. Food took almost two hours to get with almost no one in the store. Most bland catfish i have ever had. Don’t spend over $18 on something that’s worst than air fryer food. One star is being generous

Thought we’d give this place a shot while passing through Granbury but doubt we will ever be back. If you weren’t sitting at the bar, or outside your service was non existent. Condiment bottles were sticky and dirty, you can tell they haven’t cleaned those in quite some time. The lady manning the kitchen was constantly screaming at the waitresses with questions…we were lucky enough to sit right by the kitchen door and got to hear it all. Took 15 minutes to get half our drinks for a table of 4, and had to flag them down for the other half 10 minutes later. Food was subpar at best & way over priced at that. Management needs to look into hiring additional staff, especially for weekends.

We gave this place a try last week but won't be going back. We had to wait for everything and the food was just gross. We left and ate elsewhere.

We were in town for a ranch trip, decided to try this place out. It was horrible, would not recommend. We waited 15 minutes for waters and drinks. The service was horrible, our waitress never came to check on us. Two or three tables walked in after us and got their food before us. We had to track our waitress down to order our food. As we ordered our food she proceeded to tell us half of what we ordered couldn’t be ordered because the kitchen was closed, we had to wait at LEAST 45 minutes to order our food, it was 9:22 pm, the restaurant closes at 11pm. We all ended up ordering pizzas because thats the only thing on the menu we could order. The pizza took forever to get to the table and when it did it was disappointing. Half cooked, sour cheese and sweet sauce. We had 3 separate checks, she ended up giving us 4 checks that were all over the place? 3 pizzas on each tab and 1 appetizer per person/couple. All of our checks were messed up. The manager came to fix them which was nice. Overall, horrible experience and will never be back. The live music was good but extremely loud, we had to scream to talk. Also side note , everything on the menu was extremely overpriced for a “bar and grill”.

Waited for over 30 minutes food which never came, walked out. Staff and manager never came by to check on us to see if we needed anything. Horrible experience

Went there food looked gross people all around were not eating there food prices are crazy high I understand it’s a lake restaurant but really $17 for a single patty frozen burger yikes we also waited 20 min for a waitress to say hello and get a drink order and another 15 min for our drinks then another 10 to get a check and there was 5 people in the whole place might just be me I guess try it for yourself but after looking thru the reviews I’m not alone we ended up jumping back on the boat and headed to stumpys! I wouldn’t recommend this place at all

My husband and I visited for dinner and it was a busy evening. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed by the manager’s attitude. She didn’t have a smile and seemed very bothered that she had to help and pitch in. While we were seated inside of a booth, we also overheard her yelling in the kitchen. Despite this, our server was super nice and attentive, which we really appreciated. We hope the new owner will address these issues and make the necessary changes to improve the experience.

Won't eat here again! I said that last time but wanted to give the benefit of doubt and give it another try. Our friend was playing tonight. Band was great btw! Ordered a strawberry salad for $16 and the greens were wilty. Very little pecans and blue cheese and the strawberries were mushy. The grilled chicken was dry, cold , cheyy and flavorless. My friend ordered the same salad and didn't get strawberries at all and Richard ordered the fried gator....was all gristle and tasted like the oil was old and rancid. Super disappointed with over all experience including service. Such a shame because this place could really be great! It has potential to be with better food and service.
