I was on a road trip and stopped for ribs. Honestly speaking, it felt like home. The smoky taste was spot-on, and the upbeat vibe made it even better.

My brother spoke about this place to me at least a year ago and I continued to pass it up. Needless to say that would be a bad choice for anyone else if you're looking for some good barbecue. I visited 3 times in the last month and can guarantee im not done yet. Everything I've tried so far is absolutely great. Each and every piece of meat I've gotten has been moist and full of that smoky flavor. This is definately one to try folks if you're looking for that good smoked meat. Almost forgot, the sides aren't very far behind with good flavor but I've only had two so far. I'll keep you posted.

Lived in Texas all my life and I know good BBQ. I stopped by to grab a quick lunch and ended up ordering take out for the fam. The brisket was juicy and flavorful with a good bark and great sauce. We loved the loaded potato casserole. My kids gobbled up all the sausage. I never expected gas station food to be so delish! Service was fast and friendly. The gas station area has the outstanding selection of beer, wine and even fresh produce. Whenever we pass through Grapevine this will be our BBQ stop!

It’s a very interesting place with delicious food! The beef brisket and bbq was amazing. We went there as a last minute Christmas shopping and they saved our Christmas dinner. Specially the staff there was so kind and attentive despite the fact they were working on Christmas Eve. Will totally buy there again

NGL, I went in skeptical, but that brisket changed my mind. The place was chill, staff helped with recommendations, and they even offered free sauce samples.

I had the 1 meat and 2 side meal (sliced brisket, green beans and peach cobbler). The food was hot and good.

Wow... very good service, I have been eating here for a while and the service and food is always amazing. Very friendly and good atmosphere. They cooked my food the way I want it and they have added all the ingredients I wanted, all you have to do is to ask for it, and they Recently added Chilaquiles in the menu with some eggs on top it is the perfect breakfast.. it is so delicious 😋. The employees are very friendly, and the other day one of them, I believe his name is Arturo... he came to my table to ask me if everything was ok, and if i needed something else, to ask with confidence... so, I felt comfortable and welcomed 😌. Maybe in the past the service and food was average, however.. now I noticed that it is a lot better. They have done some changes that are notable thats why I decided to leave my opinion about the palce. Thanks for your service Texas Best BBQ. 🥰. Blessings 🙌 🙏 ✨️

I love this restaurant/gas station. They have a wide variety of items, food, lots of wines, in-house BBQ, and more. I only gave the (produce) food two stars because it was always excellent.., until the cantaloupe gave me food poisoning. It may have been a fluke but, sadly, I can’t recommend the fruit for this reason. I have not had any such issues with the actual restaurant side of the business, only the packaged fruit.

This place is amazing! So convenient whether I need gas or a drink or wine for the picnic or spaghetti sauce for dinner or a cowboy hat to keep my skin safe from the sun on said picnic! This place has it all! So friendly and helpful and a local favorite.

If I'm honest, I came just for a snack, but the pulled pork smelled amazing. I ended up devouring it . Staff stayed cheerful even during the rush. Loved it.

Had the ribs and brisket and it was amazing!! It's definitely a cool spot before the lake!! Ribs were so tender and so was the brisket!! Guys were so friendly and quick!! Will drive all the way from plano just for the yummy food!! Glad I found this spot!! Definitely was satisfied with how nice everything and the food was fabulous!!!

The place is wonderful! The service is quick and friendly! I ordered a Baked Potato Dinner fully loaded and they put a substantial amount on top. The setup is similar to a subway where you go down the counter with rows of toppings and sides to choose from, and they are perfectly ok with you asking for extra. Also, check out the store on the side; their fruit tastes amazing! :)

We stayed at great Wolf Lodge for five days and decided to eat here for lunch on our 3rd day. The pulled pork sandwiches were absolutely amazing we came back everyday for lunch until we left!!! My 9 year loved the loaded baked potatoe, and my 13 year old swears by their big juicy burgers. On our last day we decided to do breakfast and they did not disappoint! 5 dollar HUGE burritos 🌯. I don’t want to leave out how amazingly clean the entire place was including the restrooms. The customer services was above and beyond we wish we had this same place in our town. Julia that works in the deli is a absolute charm and remembers customers after the first time. I could go on and on! Thank you so much for your excellent food and customer service!!

This BBQ in a gas station is no joke. This place is like a local and friendlier Bucee's. I had the brisket, corn, and smothered potatoes. Brisket was good for a chain, the corn was amazing, the potatoes were standard. The cornbread was standard cornbread, but nothing to write home about. I would come here again for a quick lunch.

Who would have thought that some of the best brisket I’ve ever had would come from a gas station? This place is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the smoky aroma of barbecue had my mouth watering. The brisket was nothing short of incredible—perfectly smoked, tender, and packed with flavor. The bark was crispy, the meat was juicy, and every bite melted in my mouth. I ordered it with their homemade BBQ sauce on the side, and it complemented the brisket perfectly without overpowering it. The sides were just as impressive. The mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, and the coleslaw was fresh and tangy, balancing out the richness of the brisket. Texas Best Smokehouse is hands down one of the best gas station stops you’ll ever make! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome from the employees. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and has a great selection of snacks, drinks, and travel essentials. Unlike typical gas stations where everything is prepackaged, Texas Best Smokehouse serves up fresh, homemade barbecue and other delicious meals daily. I had their turkey club and it reminded me of the sandwiches my dad would make me for school lunch. Great food, friendly service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere—Texas Best Smokehouse truly lives up to its name!

The owner was really friendly and walked around the tables asking people how everything was. The first slice of pizza was very cold but I bought it up front. Then we went to the restaurant and they were good and hot. Nice sorveniors. We bought a few name plates and wall plates either interesting messages. They were also promoting can fresh fruit juice. I loved the melon. They deserve the 5 stars.

Have had good luck here in the past. Visited today (3/29/24) and while the bbq was good, I had a small issue. Perhaps this was accidental. There was a language issue with the server. I ordered sliced beef but he started making a chopped beef sandwich. We got that corrected and he made the sliced beef with an unusually small amount of bbq. Was tasty as usual but just wanted to note that there wasn't much of it. About half the normal amount. Asked if I wanted sauce and I told him "yes, a very small amount". Received way too much sauce. Again, I assume he didn't understand me. Sauce was very sweet and not particularly good. I'll continue to use them, but will be on the alert for this particular server. Possibly just a training issue.

Corn bread was hard. Brisket was tough and the green beans were a mix of canned and fresh. You could see the difference. The corn was weird tasting too. It might have been my tastebuds we’re dead from the super strong smell of fabuloso cleaner they use. Overall a waste of money. Not worth the $14. Update: (4 years later……) Decided to give them a second chance. Took 4 years to get that memory fully expunged. Raised it a star. Still not the best as advertised. There are 5 other BBQ places within 5 minutes that are way better, but meat quality was better and sides tasted better, though you could still see that the sides have been sitting there a while. Dry and crusty on top. Sweet smell of Fabuloso still strong.

Ordered 1lb of brisket and it was super dry. The ribs were not "fall off the bone," but it was ok. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but I know not to get BBQ from a gas station again.

Pizza was old and dry so I ordered a personal pizza. Super undercooked. Lunchables are better than this. Very clean place though. Everything else seemed good. Don’t get the pizza. Wasted my money

Third time here and first of all, the food is actually quite good. I really enjoy the sliced brisket sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce. The disappointing part is the customer service and questionable hand washing / training practices. Not terribly surprised about the low energy and mumbling speaking customer service from young adults, but I do have a serious concern about sanitation for all people involved. Wearing the same pair of gloves for long periods of time is like not wearing them at all. They too get dirty. Especially after sweeping the floor, running fingers through hair or being on cell phone. Wash hands in front of customer for peace of mind, put gloves on, serve food, then immediately discard until next customer. Most people have this false sense of security that simply putting on gloves without washing hands is somehow sanitary. NO, it’s not! Touching clean gloves with dirty hands now makes the gloves dirty. Not sure if I’ll be back.

Add to the fact that there’s little flavor because the meat is so lean and you’ll have brisket even worse than Dickey’s. The ribs were pretty flavorless. One was decently tender and the other was tough enough I could barely pull it off the bone. The sausage had ok flavor, but was soggy somehow. I got the mac n’ cheese and broccoli salad as my sides. The mac n’ cheese had no cheese flavor, wash mushy, and tasted like raw macaroni. And who puts carrots and raisins in broccoli salad?

I wasted $12 plus dollars on the brisket I ordered and I didn’t, excuse me; couldn’t choke down any part of the fatty meat they served me. This just proves that here in America anyone can make a living. What a shame this place is. Here are the positives. I’m all about being fair. The atmosphere was clean and regarding service, I was greeted about three different times. I wondered why at 11:30am on a Thursday no one was in line or seated eating. I know why now… The restrooms were clean and the store overall was very clean. The people are very kind as well. I am upset I wasted my lunch money I guess. I wasn’t going to leave a review but, the quality of food was just that bad. It’s worth warning people not to waste their money (on the bbq). To be fair, I can’t judge them on any of the other food they are serving because I didn’t try it. However, I wish I would have ordered a slice of pizza now… If you are thinking about the bbq, please don’t waste your time because they for sure don’t waste their time cooking or smoking the meat properly. I ate at one of these in the Van Zant area and it was just plain nasty. The ribs had a green color to them and they threw a 1" slab of what they called sliced ham on my plate. The potato salad was good and ended up throwing everything else in the garbage can where it all probably came from !

Place has terrible service. Every sandwich I've gotten from their pre made section is either half cooked or so unflavored you're half tempted to test for covid in the hope that surely no one could be selling such flavorless garbage. On top of it, when purchasing tobacco in bulk they don't honor the bulk discount labeled on the packages. Talk about a greedy bunch of unfriendly people. This close to the airport with such unfriendly staff no wonder people get the wrong impression.

We are guests accross the street at a large theme park type hotel on holiday. We decided to look for better food options and found this restaurant. I tried to order dinner online and was not able to. I called and spoke to an employee and his reply was to try and order online. Well I tried again to no avail. Well when I called back, no one would answer. My guess is, they were more concerned about going home for the evening. It was 7:30pm and they close at 8pm. I made it to the restaurant and was greeted with a look of annoyance. They served us our order to go but then I discovered that the prices online are 2 years old. I saw a picture of the menu online and it led me to believe we were spending $59.99 but they rang it up for $89.99. I explained to employee that this was a huge difference and could end up being an issue for them if they don’t change it. I was met with indifference. I’m not sure if anything will be done, but if they care about their establishment they should update the pictures on the Google site.

The manager was watching me and said hi to me like 3 times , and I thought it was kinda weird when I was shopping , and than I got a non alcohol ic drink and they scanned my id 🪪 which I think they were profiling me and thinking I was gonna steal.

Place looks nice . Tesla supercharger is outside. That is it for positive. Service should be little faster. I got baked potato diner , for almost $20 you would expect more than sprinkle of brisket on your baked potato. So I couldn't let you know how it tastes because I didn't have enough to taste it. If you want good BBQ drive 2 minutes to meat you anywhere.

DO NOT BUY GAS WITH A DEBIT CARD!!!!! They put a $175 hold on my card for $20 worth of gas!! This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I understand maybe putting a $1 hold but $175! This has pushed my account over to the point that I’m have no money, not including all of the other items pending in my account. I will be reporting to the BBB. This is so wrong! Everything is over priced anyway! Don’t shop here!!

Food in restaurant is Extremely over priced and not as good as you can buy at actual local restaurants! Drive for Limo service so only thing I’ll require is their restroom going forward!

one star for deceptive advertising practices when advertising gas prices. you can only get the price on the sign if you buy a car wash. one star and drove away. I feel that this kind of behavior by management should not be supported. as of this writing they were 3.8 anyway. It would be better if they were out of business and new management came in. Honest would be a good start. Edit after owner response: No, I don't believe you do strive for transparency. The big sign that says gas $2.89 a gallon, which you can't get unless you make another purchase is a classic bait and switch. It isn't the end of the world, but it is one star worthy. Fix that deceptive practice and I'll change my review.

Bro that’s wyte folks bbq. Flavorless and bland. Please don’t pour the Bbq sauce on your food , it’s homemade and terrible. Kraft make a better sauce. On top of all that the prices are crazy.

We ordered food to-go through their website. Brisket given to us was 90% fat and inedible. The pork had terrible flavor. The turkey was good, juicy, and had good flavor. Sausage was good. Tacos however came with literally nothing on them, other than meat. No cilantro or onions as provided in the picture. Chicken was so dry it was terrible. No BBQ sauce in the Togo order. Definitely wouldn’t call this Texas’ Best.

Got the ribs. Undercooked. Maybe some people like it but I thought they were disgusting. Tossed the whole meal, which I almost never do.

I only get 30mins for my lunch and I don't work far from the grapevine location so it only took me 5mins to get there which put me on location at 7:14pm and the closing time is 8pm according to hours of operations. But when I walked in and they were closed at that time and I asked the ladie behind the BBQ register if they were closed she stated that they closed at 7 on sundays and just walked out, even tho their hours of operations don't reflect that. So I wasted half of my work lunch break because they either closed early or they need to update their hours.

More than half of it was tough bark that was basically inedible. I would have expected them to trim off those inedible parts and only serve the edible meat to the customer. So, until they improve their service and quality, I can’t recommend this place.

Ordered delivery and requested silverware and napkins because of staying in hotel and received neither. I called to ask about it and they blamed doordash delivery and would not process a refund. Terrible service. I finally found a fork and brisket was terribly dry. I would not recommend this place at all.

I called this place 12 times and not one person answered the phone call so im like okay they must be busy but no I walk in its a ghost town literally nobody in here . I was calling ahead to add a item so it would be ready when I arrived but absolutely the opposite happened. Unprofessional unacceptable. Would not recommend this place or service to anyone . They definitely have some improvements that need to be made
