My mom and I had a wonderful dinner. The place looks amazing and the food/drinks were delicious. I will definitely be back! Also loved the seating the chairs were so comfortable. Great new spot in Greenwood Lake.

My wife and I had an incredible experience at this local gem. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The plush leather high-top chairs were not only stylish but incredibly comfortable, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. It's those little touches that make you feel right at home. For our meal, we decided to try a variety of dishes. We started with the vegetable dumplings, which were perfectly steamed and packed with flavor. They were a great appetizer that got us excited for what was to come. For our main courses, my wife ordered the teriyaki salmon, and I went for the beef Banh Mi sandwich. The salmon was tender, with a sweet yet savory glaze that paired wonderfully with the accompanying vegetables. My Banh Mi was a standout—it had just the right balance of juicy beef, fresh herbs, and a touch of spice, all tucked inside a perfectly toasted baguette. And let me tell you, the fries that came with it were absolutely mouth-watering, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We couldn't stop eating them! What really stood out was the level of service. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing, checking in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. He was personable and genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying our meal, which added a personal touch to the whole experience. This place is a fantastic addition to the area. The menu offers a unique blend of Asian-inspired dishes alongside classic American bar fare, so there's something for everyone. Whether you're craving a flavorful dish with a twist or just want to relax with some comfort food, they've got it covered. We can't wait to return and try more from their menu—it's clear this spot will quickly become one of our go-to favorites!

Went to the local for the first time. The food was delicious! The menu has something for everyone with the asian fusion food being outstanding. We shared the bao buns and Korean short rib tacos as well as a bar pie. Our server was friendly and engaging. The place has a cool little vibe. All things combined, this is a great place. It is what Greenwood Lake needed, and we will be back

An incredible lunch today at the Local. Great vibe with super comfortable seating. The menu was a total Surprise. I was expecting typical pub/ bar food. They have that for you, but they also have an array of Asian inspired dishes that were off the charts creative and delicious. Oh and for you fans who are mourning the loss of the Helm. The poutine fries live on.

I can’t say enough positive things about this restaurant. Food was incredible!! Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding. Rob was one of our waiters and treated us as if we were lifelong pals. Can’t wait to go back!

Very cute place, got the Korean BBQ wings and Szechwan dumplings, both were really good. Bartenders/servers were really nice and attentive, and the atmosphere was inviting. Would recommend.

The local is absolutely kick ass, I stopped in for a quick early lunch because they open early. So awesome. The service is top notch, the food is out of this world unique, and the atmosphere is welcoming to any age. If you thought this place would be similar to the old Irish whisperer, you couldn’t be more wrong! I urge you to come give it a try, you won’t regret it. Wish I could give 6+ stars!!

Wow! We love coming here! The food is always AMAZING. I’ve introduced so many friends to this local gem and it’s a fave date night location for my husband and I as well! The soup dumplings are amazing and every other dish that we have had was amazing.

A bit different atmosphere then the whisper. A more upscale. Bartender is the cousin and handle himself so professional and kind. Hope they do well. Had the sea bass and hamburger it was great. I like Pina colada but they don't have that there.

The pork chop special didn't disappoint I'm going to guess it was a deep fried chop smothered with sausage peppers and onions in an Asian type sauce topped with crispy potatoes, delicious, my wife had the crispy Asian salad with chicken which she enjoyed. Very tasty cocktails and food. We got the Love You Anyway which was delicious. It was green with a strong melon flavor. The chicken wings and the Japanese steak were great! The pork bao buns were ok, a little too dry.
