Es un excelente lugar para comer en los viñedos, tiene una vista increíble y el personal te hace sentir como en casa. El pulpo 🐙 es una joya gastronómica y sus tragos preparados tan frescos para acompañar los platillos. Se siente la frescura y el sazón inigualable desde las salsas y el pan hasta tu plato fuerte. Si o si tienes que visitarlo si estás en los viñedos, tiene una vista preciosa ideales para una buena sesión de fotos.

Hermoso lugar. Paisajes muy bonitos. Lugar amplio , gran lugar para estacionar. Hay un área de helados y de café por fuera del restaurante , los helados están deliciosos. Hay otro restaurante al lado , el cual no tuvimos oportunidad de probar. Pero Altozano cuenta con una amplia carta , comida deliciosa. Buenos precios. Los meseros amables y agradables. El espacio muy amplio entre las mesas, con bonita decoración y bonita iluminación.

Nos fascinó este hermoso lugar, tomamos un helado, pasamos a degustar de los deliciosos platillos que ahí venden, una tarde espectacular en compañía de personitas que hagan tus días especiales, muy limpio todo, buenas organización, el restaurante si estaba algo concurrido, sin embargo si se respeta la sana distancia. La mayoría de fotos y videos que encontré son del restaurante durante el día, pero recomiendo mucho visitarlo en la noche. Es un lugar hermoso, la comida rica y el servicio y el ambiente excelente. Recomiendo las coles de bruselas y el pulpo. Además rescatan perritos y convives con ellos, son muy respetuosos.

Muy buena atencion, lugar muy bonito con excelente vista. Toda la comida nos encantó a excepción de la lasaña, la carne tiene un sabor muy fuerte, las recomendaciones son la cazuela de lengua, el pan con ajo y los tacos de requesón. Gran selección de vinos de la región y agradable caminar posterior a terminar de comer para conocer el resto de negocios que se encuentran en el mismo lugar.

Hay muchos perritos entre las mesas, lo cual me parece excelente 🤩 10/10. La comida muy rica, el personal muy amable. Precios razonables, nada exagerado para la zona. Vista y decoración rústica del lugar hacen buena combinación.

Second time dining here over a period of 5 years. We really enjoy the cuisine of Javier Plascencia and the atmosphere, variety, and flavors here are fantastic. It’s all about quality ingredients and an attention to detail. This time we tried a huge variety of items and everyone enjoyed their meals and left satisfied. Especially of note were the chocolata clams, the shrimp sopes with bone marrow, the oysters, the tuna tostada, the ribeye, and the quail. Would definitely return and recommend without hesitation. Pricing is reasonable and service is attentive. Good wine list as well.

This was our lunch stop on a self-made wine tour. I found it online and was impressed with the reviews so we thought we’d give it a try. Each dish both looked and tasted incredible. They were thoughtfully put together with an excellent mix of flavors and textures. The tostadas were my personal favorite and despite wanting to eat a million of them one to two were perfect with a few other dishes to try. The space itself was a huge airy environment with plenty of tables and earthy decor. While we came on a Thursday and found it to be quite empty, I can see how lively the spot would be over the weekend. I would love to come back and try more dishes and enjoy another spritz. Thank you so much for an excellent experience.

Can’t say enough about this place. On arrival there are fire pits and the decor is cozy and amazing. The lamps are made of sticks and woven materials to look like nests. The service was impeccable, our waiter spoke great English and helped make suggestions. We loved the Brussel sprouts, seared tuna, sourdough bread and kale salad. The mushroom risotto was a great main. Wonderful and rich. By the time dessert came around we ordered one of each. The cornbread was surprisingly amazing and the churros were my favorite.

Wonderful service and wonderful food! It was well worth the visit. I've wanted to eat here for years and was able to finally dine here for a late lunch. We came here with our awesome tour company, Baja Wine & Dine, so the dishes were all selected in advance. Every dish was delicious. So many good vegetarian options too but my favorite was the moist tender chicken with roasted potatoes and the crispy skin stuckling pig. I've read a few reviewers complain about the dogs roaming around. The dogs do not bother or beg from the diners. They walked around the tables and never went under them. There were about 4-5 when we were there and they were all respectfully friendly. I was surprised at first to see dogs there but soon got used to them. The diners are discouraged to feed them.

This was a kind of exotic outdoorsy spot. They have some interesting dishes like quail, lamb (cooked two ways), beef ribs. My husband got a beef rib and it was loaded with meat that fell of the bone. Super savory! I got the lamb cooked Japanese style. It was super tender and had a great taste, but I tasted a friend’s lamb that was cooked on the grill. That was awesome! The scenery and the rustic setting made it exceptional! The service was excellent! We will definitely be returning!

We went for the views, these were breathtaking. Perfect place for groups as there are big tables and huge spaces. The restaurant is rustic but at the same time modern. Service was attentive and friendly. The short rib was amazing - melted like butter, got the corn as a side and loved the spicy mayonnaise. My favorite dessert was the lavender pannacotta with white chocolate and honey, amazing! This was a great experience, recommend!

This is an epic dining experience. Hime made bread and tortillas with unique dishes that are amazingly designe. We enjoyed the savory shared plates and incredible views.

La comida en general diría que el 50% es buena, el 30% regular y el 20% mala, pedimos platillos variados lo mejor fueron los postres, la sopa del día sin sabor y los frijoles blancos muy duros, pollo orgánico crudo por dentro, lengua de cerdo venía revuelto con hígado, tortillas duras, agua de pepino con menta parecía solo de pepino con bastante azúcar, lechón bastante bueno, tacos de requesón y elote asado rico el pan de la casa de lo mejor que tienen, por el precio no vale lo que dan. El servicio es otra cosa son muy amables y están pendientes de lo que se te ofrece. El lugar también está muy bonito y es muy agradable.

un lugar que no se le ha subido la fama, los restaurantes del valle es muy fácil que se enfoquen más en el ambiente que en la comida y este lugar no ha decepcionado. todos los platillos que ordenamos tenían buen sabor y sazón aún estando simples, desde las entradas hasta los postres. lo único que noté fue que hay mucho americano, aunque eso es bueno ya que significa que es más reconocido por otras personas.

Excelente cocina, el servicio hace juego con ella y se complementan al 100, las recomendaciones en cuanto a bebidas y alimentos sin queja, saben lo que tienen y te lo demuestran a la primera oportunidad.

Casi siempre que visito valle llego a comer aquí, la comida si esta rica pero quisiera que agregaran al menú o cambien opciones para seguir porque ya creo que cambiaré de lugar. Las bebidas no son mis favoritas, pueden mejorar bastante. El mesero que nos toco con una vez muy profunda es la tercera vez que atiende y no es muy servicial, pensé que era porque siempre estaba muy ocupado pero esta vez no estaba tan lleno como para estar de malas.

El lugar es grande, bien cuidado, bonita decoración, tiene diferentes áreas, la de restaurante, un área como de comida estilo food truck, un lugar exclusivo de nieves. La comida estuvo muy rica, muy buen sabor. El lugar me parece más estilo familiar o para ir con los amigos, esta bonito. Al momento de pedir la mesa la mesera nos dijo "la mesa que les daré esta reservada, así que tendrían que comer en dos horas, esta bien?", nunca me había tocado que nos contarán el tiempo en la mesa. Llegamos temprano por lo que no nos tocó esperar por la mesa.

El ambiente súper agradable. El servicio excelente. Hay varios perros adorables que son del lugar. Ambiente familiar. La comida está buena pero tampoco me pareció exquisita. Yo pedí el fideua del huerto que tiene alioli y azafrán lo que le da un sabor un poco dulce, está rico pero a mi gusto le faltaba sazón. Pedimos los camarones zarandeados, nada del otro mundo, no los volveríamos a pedir. Los sopes de camarón con tuétano están muy buenos. La coliflor está muy rica. La birria está buena.

Great restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. Hostess up front was very kind and spoke good English. Our server didn't speak any English, but we got by, and he sent over another server with good English in between to make sure everything is OK. Some main dishes were not available, which reduced our options (vegetarian) [-0.5 stars] The food was good (but nothing out of this world) and the wait was decent. Yes, there are dogs, we all know now. No, there isn't dog hair everywhere and no, the dogs actually don't beg for food. They stare at you for a second and then move on. But some servers do pet the dogs in between and then touch glasses and plates, that part wasn't the greatest to see [-0.5 stars]. Walking around the property afterward was super charming.

The food is great - don’t miss the suckling pig and other roasted meats - and view is lovely. Service was not as attentive as it could have been, though servers were lovely. Note that kitchen and bar close early (8p) on weekdays so reserve early so you have plenty of time before last call. Decidimos visitar este lugar por primera vez, eramos 10 en total y veniamos con expectativas altas ya que el nombre de Javier Plascencia respalda este spot en el famosisimo Valle. La palabra decepción es lo único que puedo describir al pensar en mi experiencia y la de los otros comensales que me acompañaban. La comida es ordinaria y no hubo un solo platillo al que pueda yo decir, vale la pena, pedí mi corte de carne termino medio y al tiempo en que llegò a mi mesa estaba cocida de más y fría. Lo que lo salvó fué la especialidad de la casa, el postre de pan de elote asado con nieve de nata. Si estan pensando venir por experimentar el Valle, gastense su dinero en otro lugar.

El rib eye estaba chicloso y sin sabor, lo pedimos termino medio y llego “rare”, considero que para lo que uno paga por ciertos cortes mínimo la calidad en sabor y coccion debería ser lo primero en identificar un ribeye

Fuimos un domingo solo dos personas, nos asignaron una mesa pequeña en la pura entrada donde por un lado estaba el paso de la gente que iba llegando y por el otro un perro... Siii, un pero de la misma finca acostado al lado de nuestra mesa que seguramente se sintió muy cómodo, pero bueno eso era lo de menos... - Llegué a comer a este lugar un Miércoles alrededor de la 1:00 p.m. - Ordené carne tártara, sopes de camarón con tuétano, tacos de requesón, calabazas rellenas de queso oreado y lobina. - En cuanto al sabor de los alimentos te diré que solo me gustaron los sopes de camarón. Lo demás tenía un sabor regular, nada como para volver a ordenarlo. - Es un lugar familiar y agradable. - Apto para niños. - El lugar es al aire libre con techo (sin paredes), te sugiero tomes precauciones. - Me dieron la clave wifi, sin embargo, la red no apareció, así que no fue posible conectarme. - Aceptan algunas tarjetas de crédito y débito como método de pago adicional al efectivo. - Si tienes movilidad reducida y/o vas en silla de ruedas, te comento que el acceso y movilidad dentro del lugar es de dificultad alta. El piso es rústico. - El lugar se encontraba visiblemente limpio. - La atención de Gonzalo el mesero fue buena. - El servicio es rápido. - El estacionamiento es grande y gratuito. - Sugiero reservación.

La propuesta de comida es variada, técnicas y sabores de acuerdo a la relación calidad precio, por encima del promedio en valle de Guadalupe, interesante carta de cocteles y una carta de vino muy extensa. Desafortunadamente la pobreza del servicio y atención al cliente por parte de todo el equipo de servicio arruina toda la experiencia. Cero recomendación ni de alimentos ni de bebidas, solo se acercaron a tomar la orden de entradas, después de la primera copa nos tuvimos que servir nosotros mismos el resto de la botella de vino, asi como el agua, y tuvimos que llamarles para poder ordenar tercer tiempo, postre y café. Básicamente se tomaron mas tiempo en sacar los cálculos para llenar su papelito de propina sugerida que atendiendonos. Lo cual me parece una grosería, un 15, 18 o 20% de propina sugerida para un servicio inexistente en una mesa de 2 personas en día jueves con solo otras 3 mesas en el restaurante. Que lastima que la ausencia de vocación de servicio arruine los esfuerzos del equipo de cocina y barra, porque ni se toman el tiempo de preguntar si los alimentos o bebidas fueron de nuestro agrado. De no saber que parte de la propina se reparte a cocina y barra no hubiéramos dejado nada de propina. Una vergüenza de servicio, para un lugar con mucha fama y trayectoria que en definitiva merece mucho mas...

Precios muy elevados que no coinciden con sabor y porcion. Tártara de atún sin sabor, extremadamente sencilla y parecia un aperitivo una entrada. Los platillos de mis amigas estaban igual.

Went based of great reviews and hype. The atmosphere and service were great but the food was incredibly under seasoned and flavorless. I actually mixed in some of the dips to make my mushroom risotto edible. The overly crispy charred tortillas were super dry as a complimentary bread basket, but the dips were good. My husband’s vegetable fiduea (vermicelli as a rice paella type) was hard and a tiny portion at that (maybe thankfully). We left underwhelmed and drove to another restaurant in the city to feel sated. Really sad! I hope the chefs /management take the reviews into consideration as we don’t seem to be alone in our disappointment!

We were a large group. The service itself was great. The quality of the food was a 1 star. My 18 yr old has great appetite and did not eat his pasta. My husband and I had the lasagna and the sauce was not good. We were very disappointed as we had heard great things abiut Altozano. Also to note, they have dogs around the restaurant. I love dogs. I have 5. However, they are too close for comfort, as one of them even jumped in the chair next to us. The service was great. However, I would not go back.

Someone else mentioned this, but I also needed to point it out. There are a ton of dogs roaming in the restaurant while you are eating, the waiters and servers are also petting them in between serving food! This is not an appropriate setting and I don’t know how the owners of the establishment permit this. (I am from Mexico and even restaurants in the hood do not allow dogs to annoy patrons) But aside from that, the food to price value was not there for this region. You are paying top dollar for mediocre taste. However, the drinks are definitely some of the best I’ve had in a while! I’d definitely recommend the specialty cocktails they serve. Also enjoy the view from the oversized wine barrel that has stairs leading to the top of it.

Buenas tardes . Creo que la comida en este lugar está sobrevalorada . Me pedí un pulpo en el día de hoy a las brasas y la ración junto con la cocción del pulpo estuvo malísima . Sinceramente ninguno de los platillos pedidos estuvo bueno. El risotto fue un arroz con mantequilla . No lo recomiendo la verdad .

For about $300 pesos, I got a spoonful of noodles spread on a pan with some vegetables. My wife ordered Mushroom Risotto, and at one point we thought we had COVID19, because we couldn't taste any of our dishes. The atmosphere was good, but the food and the price were terrible. Very loud environment, particularly on the weekends. Lots of “cowgirl tourists” showing their specially acquired “Valley” boots. Food ok, much better available elsewhere in the area. Fish and meat quite expensive, Margaritas had an odd herby color added to it, had to ask for a classic one to be served one without the pink. Must love dogs, like really really really really really love dogs. Your table with be coated with dog hair, yes that includes all drinks, dishware and beyond. Feel free to pet the dogs (strays?) that roam around the property. Otherwise food was good for what we had. Great spot for a sunset, possibly skip the dog hair and take your drink to go to enjoy the sunset. Also, reservations for 2 don't get you prime view table, be ready for quick a disappointment, those are taken up by large party reservations. Aside from those details, this spot is great. Enjoy. 😉.
