It was our first time here, very cute place! The food was great and our waitress was the sweetest! Super fast and clean💛🥳
Omg the all you can eat is so good. And got fried rice and those thick noodles so good!!!
Food: While admittedly the food is not as top tier as, say, Soma, it is still good. We enjoyed multiple items, including nigiri, rolls, crab puffs, ramen, extra white rice, and gyoza. Accordingly, we pulled items off the "train track" as well as ordered from the menu. For the salmon nigiri, my daughter loved it so much that we ordered in addition to collection from the train. Service: Michael was especially helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. When I wanted wasabi, he asked if I would also like ginger and brought them to the table. When my daughter brought her own shark plate with shark chopsticks, he complimented her for them and she was far more comfortable using them than the provided dishware and felt welcomed accordingly. When my boyfriend brought in his own aged soy sauce, he tried it and they fell into discussions, including how he played an instrumental role in getting gluten-free soy sauce as a to go condiment option upon request. He and my boyfriend had a blast discussing soy sauces and other items, like seaweed. There was another worker whose name I didn't quite catch, but she did her best with a clear language barrier. She did successfully bring us the items we requested and Michael assisted when it seemed necessary. I appreciated her efforts and attentiveness. She, too, saw my daughter's setup and complimented it as well. She was so glad to be so welcomed. Atmosphere: It was cozy enough. It was clean and not overly crowded. We were seated near other people but it also seemed we were staggered upon arrival. This did seem to mean more people had opportunity to get assorted items. The pacing of the train was reasonable and I thought it was clever enough to have a display on the wall of per plate pricing. I do think they could have more descriptions on certain items, especially for allergy information (I learned "kani" means "crab" and, in the dish I was eating, it was verified to be imitation crab - I did not have a reaction). Overall, we will be back. 🎉 We found the pricing reasonable. For 3 of us, we spent less than $100, about $85.
Simply great! If you are Lucky enough to get Tammy serving you, then your experience will be outstanding, yes, even more. She is awesome and you'll enjoy you time being there.
This was my first visit to Sushi Choo Choo. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has an easy going and casual atmosphere. Because we were a party of 25 people, we definitely kept the waitstaff on their toes. They were kind, courteous and very attentive towards us. Now for the food. Every one of us loved the food. I had sushi, rice and fried ice cream for dessert. The next part of this review is a little hard for me to describe. This restaurant has a “conveyor belt” which travels throughout the entire restaurant. This conveyor belt carries many different plates of sushi. All of the plates are small portions so you can try as many different varieties as you want. There were also dumplings, spring rolls, edamame, fried shrimp and many more items riding on this belt. If you want something other than sushi, there is also a menu that you can order from. We can’t wait to go again.
Fresh food fast service. A few of the rolls were a little mid (shaggy dog) but a few were surprisingly bangers (fried ikigi?) Would come again. Prices reasonable. Very nice staff.
Decent food and mostly fresh as things move on and off the belts quickly. Many options and with the belt you can get food instantly. The have per plate and all you can eat pricing options.
I like the atmosphere and the way the sushi comes to buy on a conveyor belt. When you get to the restaurant you realize your stomach is only so big and you can only eat so much so you really need to be picky about which plate you take. They all look good there was a couple that I really didn't care for but overall it's a good dining experience.
NOTE: This review is soley based on the food revolving sushi train. Great staff and atmosphere. Unfortuantily their sushi train is not refrigerated and the sushi is worse than Kroger sushi. The fish was Fishy, watery, and bland. The telltale sighs that they cut their fish then froze it at the end of the night for consumption the next day. Unfortunately if youre comming to this location for the all you can eat sushi train, I recomend looking else where.
I'm saddened to write this review. My family has been coming here for over 10 years, and we've built so many memories around this place. Unfortunately, things have changed over the past year. We've had multiple visits where the rice was consistently soggy and mushy—definitely not the quality we were used to. Still, we kept giving it another chance, mostly because our daughter has always loved coming here. But on our most recent visit, I experienced something that truly turned us away for good. Every time I grabbed a plate from the belt, my fingers would stick to the bottom. Curious (and concerned), I flipped a few over to see what I was touching. What I found was disturbing—old bits of food stuck along the edges and a grimy film that actually scraped off when I ran a chopstick over it. It was obvious the plates hadn’t been cleaned properly. Sadly, after that meal, I ended up getting sick. And as heartbreaking as it is to say, we won’t be returning. It’s disappointing to see a place we’ve loved for so many years lose the care and quality that once made it.
My wife and I have been coming here for years. But here lately the quality of their food has gone way down. Making us consider searching for a new sushi place to be our go to. They stopped skinning their cucumbers for some reason, so youll get the super hard sour tasting skin in your sushi roll. And now multiple times they have had super overcooked or just almost watery rice making the roll just taste of mushy rice water. Update - went here today, service was OK at best. Ordered yakisoba today. It was the definition of bland, tasteless. It didnt have any kind of "sauce" or anything that could add some kind of flavor. I will not be coming back here again, which is just such a disappointment because we been coming here for many many years.
As I was getting lunch with my baby sister of four years with my friend after I got my check a man with glasses came up to us and pressured for the tip as I didn’t want escalate the situation I gave him a two dollar tip with a clear unsatisfactory expression I usually tip waiters very generously but since this is a self serve restaurant and he only gave us our check and drinks I thought nothing more will never go here again management should seriously check the situation with their staff and explain how this is inappropriate and immature!!!!!!!
I honestly hate that I even have to write this because I’ve loved Sushi Choo Choo for years. My family and I have been coming here forever. The food has always been good, and the staff has generally been kind. I never thought I’d have a negative experience here… until today. For anyone who knows, Sushi Choo Choo operates mostly as a self-serve setup. The server brings your drink and that’s essentially the only interaction you have until you ask for the check. That was exactly my experience. A gentleman with glasses brought my drink, and that was the extent of our interaction. When I finished eating, I asked for the check, signed it, and left. As I got to my car, I realized I hadn’t left a tip. Considering this is basically a self-serve experience and I had almost zero interaction with the server, I didn’t think much of it. What happened next was completely unacceptable. As I was getting into my car, the server FOLLOWED me into the parking lot, holding my receipt, and told me I “needed to sign the box” — clearly referring to the tip line. I felt immediately uncomfortable. Being approached at my car over a tip is inappropriate and intimidating. I ended up adding a tip just to avoid escalating the situation. He even looked at it right in front of me, and his expression made it clear he still wasn’t satisfied. Tipping is customary, yes — but it is not mandatory. No customer should ever be chased into a parking lot and pressured into paying more. That crosses a serious line. It’s incredibly disappointing because the food is good and I’ve supported this place for years. But no matter how good the sushi is, I will not return to a business where an employee thinks it’s acceptable to follow a customer to their car and pressure them for money. Management seriously needs to address this before someone feels unsafe enough to take further action.
One star. The $21.95 all-you-can-eat lunch seemed reasonable, but the fish was poor quality and not fresh. So much so that my husband threw up 20 minutes after we left. The fried rice was too oily, and aside from the Spicy Girl roll, everything else was subpar. The server was nice, but still it’s the worst all-you-can-eat sushi experience we’ve ever had! Go somewhere else.
