Tin Fu is one of my go-to for Chinese food, I often take out here and the food is quite good. The owner and staff are quite friendly and have accommodated my off menu requests for time to time. Lunch specials are the best value here, I almost always take some to go as the portions are large. They also have Yee Fu Won Ton which is hard to find and a childhood favorite.
Great food with family service in care. They remember me when i go there. Great price and value usually see cops eating here. I love to do a call in order and pick up right on time for my lunch time. They cook with coconut oil. And no msg.
One of the best Chinese food places around Hayward, if you haven't tried it before I highly recommend the chow mein and vegetable chicken.
Ok, the food is amazing after a change of guard.. I had stopped going after the previous owners took over as the quality and quantity of the food went down the tube.. fortunately, I went back just to have a look, and found new owners 😀 the food is tasty again and back to regular portions.. one gets a lot for your hard earned money here.. please do give this a try.. but only takeout if you're used to posh places.. the interior is very run down and I suspect that they're only interested in takeout as they haven't spent anything on doing the place up..
We have been using their catering service, at least once or twice every year, since 2014. Their food is really good and prices for catering are not bad either. Recommended
Delicious food! Great price and amazing customer service!
My new fav Chinese food. This hard to find little mom and pop serves authentic fresh and clean dishes. So fresh, they're chopping up herbs and greens on 1 of the 8 tables in the restaurant for everyone to see. Friendly service.
This place is so good, I drive from Fremont to eat their food. I have odors that can cost about $30 and they just combo my order and I end up paying $10 and some change to save me money.
Solid Food here... Their Won Ton soup is amazing... Its kind of a small place but the flavors are great... Especially the Salt and Pepper Fried Fish
Surprise surprise...this little place delivered exactly what we needed. Inside: nothing fancy, reasonable seating and good lighting Staff: friendly and easy going Food: tastey, good portion, reasonable price Go ahead give it a try or take-out. I'll be back.
Reasonable price & good portion. BBQ pork & fried rice is pretty good imo, other dishes are okay-ish.
This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Eastbay . highly recommended delivery super fast super friendly staff the owner always remembers what I like doesn't matter if I don't go there for a month really kool
good food. nice staff. my go-to place in hayward for dim sum. be sure to check the hours on their website(not just google) before showing up.
Absolutely love this place to grab a bite of Chinese food. Order ahead for quick in and out. Seating area is limited, especially during lunch and dinner hours.
I’m 36 and I’ve been coming since I was 12 , my family’s favorite.
Only place to get really good Chinese food. We have been going here for decades. Only places like this have the longevity to withstand time.
Have a amazing Chinese menu and flavor… the portions are generous so prepare yourself for a big dinner with a reasonable price ! 🤩🤩🤩 I will definitely come back if I can 🥰
Food flavors are on point! Mixed fried rice is cooked very well and tasty. Mongolian beef is not spicy but has some good spices (how I personally like it). Noodles are thick and yummy. Also, the delivery packing is top notch, cardboard pieces to separate and keep food level and separate bags to keep moisture/condensation to each bin. 5 starts will definitely order from again.
Great food and service! The lady who served us was very friendly. Restroom very clean too.
Good food small restaurant. Been around for awhile, changed owners awhile back but the food is similar and still tasty

We love ordering the Honey Walnut Prawns party platter alongside the Fried Rice combination party size. It feeds a good amount of people and our guests really enjoy it as well.
On our way home from SFO, had a craving for Chinese food. Ordered Yo-Fu Wonton soup, Combination Moo Shu and House Chow Mein. Every dish is delicious!! Fresh, great flavor!! Check them out. Only downside, no RR, kinda small, and parking lot is sketchy.
I fond this place 4 years ago and it’s by far the best Chinese food in Hayward
Taste is so good portion are perfect.
Purchase the combination plate B with chow mein, calamari, and dry fry ribs. Food is flavorful, plus they give you about 7 calamari rings instead of 4. Would Recommend!!
Very nice on phone when ordering. Had General Tsao's Chicken & Beef & Broccoli-- both were delicious! Dumplings had great flavor and texture. Generous portions and will definitely come back again. Bottom-line when you're in the mood for good Chinese take-out this place does not disappoint!

Little store front restaurant with good portions. I like that they have 3 tofu lunch dishes. Food is tasty but I took off a star as vegetables were not fresh or overcooked.
I been going here almost 20 years! I miss the lady ''SUE'' even though she's at the other location she is Greatly appreciated and missed Consisted time after time to this day! Thanks Tin fu
The food is what i would say close to authentic Chinese food. The chowmein was the thick kind (not the conventional thin kind which has lesser flavor) The menu was in in mandarin / Cantonese too. Giving a 4 star rating because i ordered food to be spicy but it wasn't spicy enough even after adding their chilli paste. Additionally their food is laden with unhealthy vegetable oils. The waiter+cashier was a down to earth guy, not like your conventional waiter who looks down upon you for not knowing what to order or not ordering enough.

Lunch specials for $7.28 and includes entree, soup, choice of rice or chow mein, and an egg roll. Very generous portions - mine lasted me two meals. And for that price, it was very worth. I work around the area and would probably come here for a cheap lunch, but wouldn't specifically drive out here for it.
Food is excellent but the service is slow. Three times we have ordered online and promised 15 minutes only to have it take nearly an hour for a takeaway order. It’s not in the best neighbourhood to be sitting in your car for 45 minutes but that may only be my perception. Ding them one star for slow service otherwise it would be five’s all the way. Might try ordering 45 minutes early next time. The place is busy, so maybe that’s why it takes so long..
Their food is always delicious and will not disappoint. The pick up times on online orders can take longer than stated.
This is now my go-to place for basic, good honest Chinese food. The soup was salty enough that it should probably be served with blood pressure meds, but their Crispy Szecuhan Prawns [as spelled in their online menu] are quite impressive! If interested in their lunch menu, you should be sure to arrive in time (online says 2:30, in-person said 3.) I have seen service declined shortly after 3, and they do encourage you to head out if you finish your lunch after their 3pm break.

Ordered the beef chow fun. The ordered was ready in 10 minutes. So - So chow fun. A lot of bean sprouts and no clear flavor. No hot heat chinese wok char marks on the chow fun. You might try other places if you want really good chow fun.
OK Chinese food for lunches. Cheap and hot food. Tried the fish with black bean sauce. Did not like it as much. I went with someone and they had kug pao prawn. That seemed to be much better. Seems like they may do a few dishes better than the others. Should try it, you may like it.
I wouldn't say it was the best I had but it is good enough. Also the person in charge of serving us (probably the owner) was really nice to us. Super quick as well!
For a small restaurant the food is very fresh and delicious I've been ordering from there for 17 years. Their ordering service is quick and efficient.
Loved their food, Although lately a little sluggish with how they serve food, one time It seem like the food was overcooked or used old food and reheated. Especially very salty, and if you ask for it low on sodium they just don't put nothing. So those are the only cons but I'm still going to give them a try again hopefully they can improve.
I ate here for dinner and much to my surprise (and chagrin), most prices have risen about 22%, from my last visit (about 2-months ago). I also noticed, they have a new floor, refurbed walls and new tables/chairs. I guess the price increases paid for all of this? Food is about the same quality (mediocre), although, I noticed the portions are a bit smaller. This place is no longer a very good value, as their price increases put them in with other chinese restaurants which have much better food and better service (they have a younger waitress who is next to useless and not very friendly - she fiddled w/her phone while my food waited on the counter and her boss ended up delivering it to me). I noticed it was not very full and I was there for Sat. dinner (around 6pm). I guess a lot of their customers have the same concern I have about their current pricing. I probably will not return, as I see this is as a "less for more" value proposition. If I'm going to pay "gourmet chinese food prices", I want gourmet food and this is not that. Too bad, because they really had a niche market within the value conscious chinese food patrons. This is NOT an inexpensive place anymore and even with all the improvements, it's still a hole in the wall kind of place. Smh.....

The hot and sour soup was SOUR like it had GONE BAD!! THE PORK BUN wasnt good. They don't serve any dumplings, very misleading. The only thing that tasted good was the potstickers. Was very disappointed, and the server was a little off put could be taken as rude. Certainly never coming back, but hope this doesnt show what could be from the sister restraunt in hauward.
Food was good but service was suspect. White people come in they come take there order. Me and my son sat for 15 minutes and nobody came to take my order. Then I go to counter to order for here. My first two items come out very fast. Then another family comes in and they get all there food. 15 minutes later the rest of my food comes out. When I complain the guy goes to the other family to justify why they got their food first. Very unprofessional. The lady kept making dirty looks at me since we sat down. She never gave us any service but serviced all other customers. Very strange how people can run a business and treat people bad but nobody cares if it's black people being mis treated. It's as if everyone thinks we deserve less!

Lunch special was really bad. Sesame chicken was the worst just heavy flour coating, sugar and tons of food color. They had no vegetarian or chicken option in soups for lunch special. Only good thing, waiting staff was really polite.
Don’t do it...food is not fresh, at all. Weird taste on each entree we ordered. Shrimp fried rice was fried rice with 6 pieces of shrimp laid on top when I opened my takeout box. We ended up throwing everything out.
This was the worst experience I've had with Tin fu. I've eaten here numerous times and after waiting 2hrs for delivery only to get cold or as the driver said "it was a little warm" food I'll never again eat there. My kids and I had to pile into the car in pj's to go find dinner after 7pm. Smh. The worker Benny was nice and tried to help but the manager Sue only wanted to take $5 off the order. Worst customer service to satisfy/make whole a customer ever. When I order food I expect fresh hot food not luke warm or cold food.
so i ordered shrimp fried rice and bbq pork for $17 delivered roughly 3 min drive..so i open up my plastic top of food and theres only three pieces of shrimp..i move my fork around that was all the shrimp. i called back the lady told me that if i wanted more shrimp i would have to pay. i told her that was ridiculous then she had the audacity to laugh. ive never been so dissatisfied with service and slim food. also the shrimp are a half dollar in size.. never going there again
I was going to cater from them and give them some good business. I was about to order chow mein, fried rice and spring rolls. I only asked for a sample for a spring roll and the guy said "no free samples." I thought he was joking so I asked him if he was serious and he said yeah, no free samples. What a bad response to a customer that was going to give them a large order. This was my first time there, who didn't know what their food tastes like. All they had to do was give 1 sample. I chose not to order from them. Ordered from another place instead who were nicer and genuine people.
Terrible service. I would come here often!!! Until today, they've lost me as a costumer. I called several times to attempt to place an order for pickup. They would answer and hang up EACH TIME. Not once did they even bother speaking into the phone and let me know it'll be a few minutes.
Used to be pretty decent but the last visit was no good. Chow mein has no flavor at all. Fried chicken wings used to be big wings, we ordered and the were tiny. I would have been better off going to Panda Express. Time for a new Chinese food restaurant.
I don’t know if it was what I ordered but the sweet and sour pork was just very bad. Service was good and atmosphere fine.
We have eaten here for over 6 years and things have been good, 4 stars minimum. The past few months have been bad, specifically, our last 3 visits. Almost inedible. This is a picture of Sesame Chicken. It tastes like really bad Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Honey Walnut Chicken tasted like mayonnaise. We tried and tried. We even talked to them. Not sure if there are new owners or what but the food is NOT good.
Combo protein portions are so small. Ordered 2 dinner combos and you get fried rice on the entire larger side, chow mein on the smaller other side and the last little side has chicken. They only had 1 cook and people were waiting over 50 minutes for their food. Why don’t they hire someone else to help? It’s Sunday!! The tables were dirty, piles of dirty plates. Asked for sweet & sour sauce and she said it’s $1 extra, after I placed a $90 order. It was never this way with the old owners. Won’t be coming here anymore.
