The last time I ate here was 2001 and the food was delicious...I was here with a friend on veterans day 2021 and the food and service was excellent! The waiters and waitresses were very accommodating and it was a family type atmosphere...I'm seeing reviews of some who say most of the staff is not Columbian which waters down the authenticity but I've eaten at a few Columbian restaurants and the food was similar. I'm not Columbian so maybe my taste buds can't tell the difference but let's just say I will be a steady customer from now on.

The food was delicious both to my tongue as well as my eyes. The portions were unbelievable! Wish they didnt run out of that "Oax-Tail served on a real banana leaf". Really wanted to try that! Oh well, more reasons to come back to NY next time.

This location offers what i personally think are the best emlanadas because they are all meat I placed an order to go and when i went in the soup look delicious decided to stay for the soup an empanadas definitely good food and fresh but i found it to be a little on the high price side next time ill stick to just the go order of empanadas

Overall the best Colombian food I've ever had, while the service sometimes needs help. Always get the breaded pork chop which ahhhmazing.

Great atmosphere, feels like you're outdoors. Ordered chicken strips and fries, delishhhh. But the service was non-existent. Our server took our orders and brought everything out and we never saw him again. Definitely will be back, but will be getting it to-go.

Second time I’ve been to this place, not by choice. It was for a meeting. Rice and beans are good. Everything else wasn’t chicken would’ve been significantly better if it was cooked an hour and a half less. That came out hot. Everything else came out cold.. Service is absolutely horrendous.

This use to be my go to spot for Columbian food around my area but I was sorely disappointed. The burnt meat I received was a huge huge disappointment especially for the amount of money I spent! I ordered a picada around 7pm and it seemed like they gave me all the burnt leftovers on my ordered. I felt offended. How can food service get away with this. This is why I write reviews so restaurants do better and make a change instead of getting away with giving out burnt disgusting food!

Mi Tierrita at Hempstead was our go to place for Colombian food until my recent visit. It has now become my least likely place to go to. The establishment never had a good fountain beverage system/vendor having the carbonated beverages always off and not on point. Now, they have implemented providing soda cans. But get this, a can of 12 oz soda costs $4.75. They don't even warn you how much it'll cost. They just surprise you when you get the check. Not a good way to treat customers with this very inflated price. I hope they will fix this and treat customers with good will. Until then I will not be visiting these establishments. Customers beware. I have been coming to the Hempstead and the Brentwood spot for years. The portions are big, the prices are right, and the staff is attentive and courteous. By far the best Colombian food around!

DO NOT COME HERE. I’ve been to countless amounts of Colombian restaurants and this is by far the worst one. 1) The steak was extremely dry and tough, 2) the avocado was inedible, 3) half the chicharron was left on right over the soup of beans that they give you making it extremely mushy and even if that didn’t happen the other half was not crispy at all and just felt undercooked. I do not advise coming here at all, save your time and money and try another spot!

Went there to pickup takeout, not only did we have to wait 2 hours to get the food when we got home the food was completely raw and inedible. Ended up having to re cook the food since we had waited so long to get it we didn't want to go back and wait even longer. I've been there before and that food is normally not that bad and it I understand it was a busy day but for them to give us raw steak was completely unacceptable.
