Visit Date: October 1, 2025 Even though I don't drink alcohol I fell into a facebook group that my boyfriend belonged to when we first started dating called 8 O'Clock Shot. The people in the group are cool about me drinking coffee, OJ & Seltzer and N/A beers and I'm cool with the fact that they drink, overall they're a pretty good group of people. Last night Tom Perrone a member of 8OCS hosted his first ever vinyl night in Nassau County at Prost. Usually he hosts Vinyl nights in Patchogue at TwoMorrow's Pub. Sometimes he'll host other vinyl nights or afternoons at different locations. So my boyfriend and I were able to go. One of the good things I appreciate about Prost is that it's a bar/restaurant. So if there's something going on and I need to bring my son I'm safely able to do so. I wouldn't bring my 9 year old to just a bar but if it's a bar/restaurant there's nothing wrong with bringing him if I had to. We didn't get a chance to have any food, maybe one day on one of our future visits we will. I had an OJ & Seltzer and a Clausthaler N/A beer. My go to N/A beer for drinking at home has been Athletic Brewery N/A beer but I had a Clausthaler once before at the American Hotel Bar in Sayville and Clausthaler is a good flavorful N/A beer. My boyfriend chose to have a liter of Miller Lite I think. Hanging at Prost was a good time, one of the bars in Garden City that I would suggest checking out!

I had the sauerbraten cheesesteak, which was moist, tender, and delicious. It came with potato pancakes and cinnamon-apple sauce. The service was great at lunchtime. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

Great service and great food. The fact that they have all major sports on the screens including soccer(biggest sport in the world) is a big plus. Would definitely come back for some delicious wursts and the draft Weihenstephaner

I love Prost. The maple sciracha wings, the ham & gruyere sandwich and potato pancakes are divine. But mostly we go there because Neil is a hoot with a heart of gold⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

With my daughter going to Germany to study abroad, I decided to take her here to get a introduction and taste of what she could expect. It was fantastic, I’ve been here a couple times before and the restaurant never fails. Liz our server was excellent, she took the time to explain the various German offerings and stories about the restaurant. Very warm and inviting atmosphere, the restaurant was clean and the food was excellent.

Low-key dining, perfect for eating out with friends. Prost is no-frills. The menus are paper and the forks plastic. They did bring real knives for the schnitzel dishes though. The food was good with hearty portions served. The staff is friendly and happy. The bathrooms are clean! The tables are widely spaced for COVID protection.

Prost Grill & Garten has turned into one of our families favorite restaurants! The food is always delicious and the staff and service is always exceptional. We love to start with a Bavarian pretzel that is served with a fantastic beer cheese dip. The lobster and crab chowder was also delicious!! We had a sauerbraten cheesesteak, sauerbraten dinner, and fried shrimp and all were excellent. The potato pancakes are the highlight thanks to their homemade apple sauce that tastes like the inside of an apple pie! Highly recommend for the best German in the area!!
