Opinions de Martha's 22nd Street Grill Hermosa Beach
A local suggested it to us and it absolutely did not disappoint. The service was incredibly fast, and the vibe is perfect for a beach morning. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor tables have beautiful views of the ocean . The portions are HUGE, and the menu has really unique, flavorful options. I ordered the keto bowl and was honestly surprised at how filling and satisfying it was while still feeling healthy. My boyfriend got the chorizo scramble, which came with a variety of sauces so you can spice it up exactly how you like. Everything was packed with flavor. Our waitress Heather was upbeat, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Love, love, love this place - it’s going to be very hard not to come back here every day! ☀️
Martha’s is a sponsor of a pageant I won, and we all got gift cards. Didn’t know what to expect, but wow. It was busy, but we were sat immediately and once we ordered, food was out FAST. I got the mushroom, sausage, white cheese omelette and it was delicious. The sourdough bread was thick. I would order fruit instead of hashbrowns next time, as they were just a little underdone. The kids menu was good quality and had decent portions. Chicken strips were delicious.
We used to live in Manhattan Beach. Always enjoyed taking our kids to Martha's as they were growing up. An easy bike ride along the Strand. We visited on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, for a late lunch. Wow, they've changed so much - better than ever. Our server, Erin O. was fantastic. We had a table of four and a new Maltese puppy. Erin was great in dealing with us all. The food, service, ambience and view were amazing. Erin was attentive, professional and friendly. Today, Feb. 24, I noticed a minor problem with our bill. The issue was resolved within hours - Martha's is our "go to" place in HB.
Loved the diverse staff and environment. Super busy on a Sunday morning but the flow was amazing. Was sat accordingly and the service was excellent. The food was great, perfectly poached eggs for my partners eggs benedict. Their breakfast burrito was delicious and probably one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. The small fruit salad was the perfect light snack after our meal. Their salsas were great! Would definitely come back even with seeing how busy it was! Attached a photo of our view where we were sat 😎
Perfect breakfast spot in Manhattan Beach. I had the avocado toast and a double espresso. The avocado toast was absolutely unbelievable — fresh, well-balanced, and easily one of the best I’ve had. The espresso, on the other hand, wasn’t quite at the same level. That said, it’s definitely a place I’d recommend for breakfast: great atmosphere, relaxed vibes, and a nice spot to unwind and enjoy the area.
Best cold brew with sea salt could foam! Avocado toast on sourdough was yummy! Half a block from the beach! Great service. Definitely great option for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a quick coffee.
Overall best breakfast burrito I’ve had. Service was quick and friendly. Arriving there at around 7:30am is the perfect, relaxed atmosphere hungover and just-waking up people crave. The cool beach breeze compliments the hot breakfast perfectly. 10/10
A great place to eat right next to the beach! We ate outside since we had our dog in a stroller. We even took a quick walk on the beach! All the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. The kids got the cutest Mickey Mouse pancakes, hubby loved the breakfast burrito, and I really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict! Prices were reasonable, but parking can be difficult since it is the beach area. I definitely recommend coming here!
Was out here visiting my partner, last day out here before I head back out. We decided to hit this up and we were both pleasantly surprised. Quality and service was A1. The outdoor seating was great too. Only thing is people bringing their dogs in between where we're sitting and they're shaking and scratching. Dont want dog hair in my food. Other than that, lovely spot.
found this place on Google and decided to give it a try. The food and service was absolutely incredible. Our server was a lady with glasses and blonde hair. I forgot her name, but she was so nice and was on top of everything. I went to go breakfast with my mother and we ordered the banana latte and pumpkin spice latte which were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the two egg combo which comes with hashbrowns and toast. It was a generous portion and it was delicious. Pricing was also good considering the area and location. There is seating inside and outside. Seating inside is a little snug but it’s comfortable and enough space for the average person. We didn’t have a problem finding parking but then again we went during the week before 10 AM. I would definitely recommend and will be returning soon. once again, thank you to our server you were amazing and welcoming.
Stopped in for my first time today and I was really impressed. Breakfast was honestly delicious and the location is hard to beat. It’s located in Hermosa Beach really close to the actual beach. Parking in the area can be a bit difficult but spaces open up quite frequently, but it will definitely be metered, there aren’t really any free parking spaces. We arrived around 10:30 for Sunday brunch and had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated for a party of two. The wait was worth it and even though we had to sit outside, it was covered and our server was polite and attentive. They have many tables inside as well as out so there are plenty of seating options. Inside and outside were both bustling and it was really busy, but service was still pretty quick. The menu has a lot of great options, but I decided to go with the Eggs California because I am a huge Benedict fan and I added chorizo which I would highly recommend. The chorizo and avocado combination is almost unbeatable, and I honestly loved it. The coffee was also strong and overall I thought it was a fantastic breakfast. I would say it’s my favorite breakfast spot in Hermosa Beach and would recommend to anyone.
If I could give Martha’s more than 5 stars, I would—seriously. The views? Five stars. The vibes? Five stars. The service? Always five stars. But that white corn scramble? 500 stars, easy. Fluffy, cheesy, sweet-savory perfection. I order it every time and dream about it in between. Now listen… the wait is zero stars. But that’s not on them—it’s just what happens when a spot is this damn good. So either show up early or be ready to sip and wait. Martha’s on 22nd is a whole vibe. Feels like home, but with better food and beach views. I’ll keep coming back ‘til they name a scramble after me….
Martha’s in Hermosa Beach is an absolute gem! The menu offers something for everyone. You can tell ingredients are fresh, and the variety means you’ll want to come back just to try more. What really makes the experience special is the outdoor terrace. Sitting outside just steps from the beach, soaking up the sun with a great meal and ocean breeze — it doesn’t get much better than that. The laid-back, welcoming atmosphere paired with attentive service makes it the perfect spot for a weekend brunch or casual lunch. Highly recommended!
Second time at this jewel of Hermosa. Only issue is the wait time. We were a party of 5 with a dog. Sat in their patio. Was served by Heather. She is awesome. It was so busy on a Saturday lunch time so can’t blame the slow service but it’s worth the wait. I had the fried chicken sandwich that is to die for with curly fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. The only complaint was the hasbrowns that was a bit mushy for my taste. Kinda like texture of boiled potato.
I’ve been going to Martha’s since I officially moved to LA in 2005, it was conveniently 3 blocks from my home + I now drive an hour to eat here !! I absolutely love LOVE this restaurant for their delicious food, incredible location (literally steps from the beach !!) and the amazing staff - some of the OG’s are still here from 2005. Also you can absolutely spend less per person. I typically come for brunch with friends 🥂
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The food I ordered was absolutely delicious. The waitstaff was friendly, and the service was quick. I chose to eat outside, and being mobility impaired, I had no difficulty getting to my seat. Wheelchair users may struggle a bit. My only complaint is that when I walked up to the restaurant, as a first-time guest, I asked the host if I needed to wait to be seated, and she was quite rude about confirming it.
Martha’s dominates the brunch scene in South Bay. I wouldn’t call it the best brunch but it’s close to the best, which is why it’s got a four in my book. I remember Martha’s before they renovated in 2020 and it’s definitely not what it is today. It’s right along the beach. It usually has a long waits on the weekends. But it’s definitely worth checking out.
Chill, popular local spot that’s good for brunch. They don’t take reservations so if you have a large party, I’d suggest coming here early. The outdoor seating isn’t really shaded so I’d also suggest wearing a hat and sunglasses if you plan to sit outside. Had the white corn scramble (vegetarian friendly) and a matcha latte. The food was filling and came with your choice of bread. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs plate, and he finished his plate. They do accept credit cards. It is kid-friendly. Our waitress was friendly and very personable. I’ve heard other people recommend the breakfast burrito so if you’re a fan of meat, then I would suggest trying that.
Since today was an unusually hot January day I decided to visit a restaurant close to the beach. Unfortunately, a lot of other people had the same idea. Atmosphere: Finding parking near it took awhile. The restaurant was fairly crowded. I'm not sure about inside but there were only two or three open tables outside when we arrived. Food: The food was good. I had a pretty good tuna melt. The person I came with had turkey sandwich that she liked. Neither of us liked the curly fries that came with the sandwiches. The menu online says there are other options (fruit or salad) but the waitress never asked us if we wanted to something else. Also, the person I came with didn't like the cappuccino. Service: The service seemed to be better for regulars. I saw the person who sat us and the waiters/waitresses talking a lot to a few people they knew by name. They didn't ask me if I wanted to sit inside or outside. The woman basically said "You can sit here...or there if you want" (for a couple outside tables). Also, they didn't ask if we wanted something else with our sandwiches.
