This High Desert hidden gem completely blew us away from start to finish. We’re foodies, so making the 90-mile round-trip trek to eat here after a recommendation from another foodie friend was a no-brainer—and we would 100% do it again. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations: the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food were all next level. The tomahawk was not only absolutely delicious, but it’s presented with a fun little celebration when it comes out—such a great touch and part of the experience. We also ordered two appetizers: the queso fundido and the guacamole with asada. Both were generously portioned, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. Another entrée we shared was the cheese enchilada with green sauce, which was also excellent. For dessert, we tried the pan de elote—such a unique offering and absolutely delicious. This was a lot of food, so we did take quite a bit home to enjoy the next day. The individual servings are quite hefty. Reyes was our five-star server and took wonderful care of us, but what really stood out was how well the entire team works together. You can tell everyone is focused on making sure all guests feel taken care of. This place is truly a hidden gem in the High Desert and is easily one of the top five places we’ve ever eaten. The entire experience was so impressive. Thank you for an unforgettable meal—we’ll be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ PRO TIP! Best place to have a birthday!!!🥳

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My family and I were in town from Vegas on business and were craving an authentic meal before we headed back. We were completely blown away by the atmosphere upon walking in. The staff was warm and welcoming, the decor, the lighting, and the table settings are all so thoughtfully curated to help set the tone for the comforting feel of “home.” The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were carefully crafted, and the live mariachi was a beautiful touch. We cannot wait to come back!

My 1st time here & let me tell you about their mole!! It's the most delicious mole I've ever had!! Ordered the chilaquiles w/ mole...highly recommended!! I will definitely be back. Mom got the taco Tuesday special, her asada tacos were super yummy as well!!

I went twice to los amores de Julia and both times the service was amazing. My first visit was on a Saturday, they had a DJ and a moving bar. They made our drinks where we were seated at. I tried the mole enchiladas and it was by far one of the best mole enchiladas I have tried. The second time I went was on my birthday and I tried the Salsa verde enchiladas. The food portions is smaller compared to other places but I rather get quality over quanity. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere good. Its perfect for date night as well as celebrating special occasions. If you are looking for beautiful aesthetics, friendly service and good food then this is the place for you.

Our fish time going and we loved it. The staff was so friendly and we loved the atmosphere. It’s so beautiful inside. There was live music that sounded wonderful. The food was on point. Very flavorful and the presentation looks so good. It was pricey but I think it was worth it. Great date night spot.

This is an absolutely beautiful and classy place, reminds me of Riviera Maya luxury resorts, the decor is breathtaking. Our server Martha was friendly, nice and helpful, we loved our service. The menu has something for everyone. They also have vegetarian and vegan options!!! I ordered the vegan zucchini enmoladas and they were to die for with mole Poblano. I also had cafe de Olla for the 1st time and loved it, the cinnamon gives it that special kick. I am in love with this place and will definitely recommend to everyone I know and will be coming very often. I would give them more stars if I could.

This place was delicious! We went to celebrate a birthday. They had live mariachi when we went on a Saturday for lunch. They also make the tortillas right there in front of you. The service is amazing! The decor was beautiful! Even the restrooms were nice and clean when we went. Definitely recommend this restaurant over other Mexican restaurants. We will definitely be coming back again!

Hands down 👌 👍 the Best food I have hade to date in the high desert. No doubt the food was incredible with ingredients of the freshest quality. The food was prepared extremely well. Presentation was on point. Atmosphere is with good vibes. Clean establishment. My only concern was the lack of prompt table service. My water cup was dry a few times. My family and I will definitely be returning.

This place is beautiful! I love the new look. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. They take care of the customers very well. The restaurant is very organized and well maintained. Food is great and very delicious. The atmosphere is great and i really enjoyed my visit here. I will return and highly recommend to anyone! This place is pretty pricey but there are certain specials that are my favorite! The amount you pay for dishes are portioned really well because they give quite a lot of food.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Went for the first time on Valentine's Day. Cocktails are tasty and served creative. Such a fun spot. Great for romantic date nights and great for a whole group that wants to party. Food is amazing!!!! Love the authentic dishes and how they're served. The decor is so beautiful and I love the lighting and music effects they do when they're getting the party started. There was a saxophone player the night we were there and he was so good. Great vibes. You must go. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The food was amazing. The lady serving us was very kind and friendly. They definitely knew how to take care of their customers. We had dinner there and I loved the atmosphere. The place was clean and very accommodating. I think the manager came and checked up on every group of people at least 3 or 4 times. The mariachi played amazing music and the staff had amazing energy. There were 4 groups of people who had came there for their birthday, and the staff made it very clear that the person was special. The lights sort of flashed and they walked around with some sort of flashlight. One of the staff members would be carrying a huge card that said happy birthday and another would have a hat that they gave to the birthday person. Their energy made my day. Would definitely go there again. 100% recommend.

The food was great, just expensive. Don't expect to get chips and salsa and rice and beans with your dish of choice. The service however, was amazing. Kenya and Marisela really made us enjoy our stay to the utmost. The setting was also really nice and the decorations beautiful. I would recommend it!

It was my first time here and everything was amazing. Marisela was our server and she recommended a delicious vegetarian dish to me. Her service was wonderful. She was attentive and checked in on us often. In addition to her phenomenal service, the live mariachi band was breathtaking. The lead singer had the most beautiful voice and it added so much to the already comforting atmosphere. I can't wait to come back!

Who would give this place less than five stars? If there were more stars I would give more. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere is really nice. They went all out. Even the bathroom makes me not want to leave. Obviously the food was great. We had the margarita flight and every one of them was good.

Absolutely loved our experience at Los Amores de Julia! The food was amazing, but the highlight was the incredible service from Mrs. Mary. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel like family. We were on our way back from LA to Las Vegas, and we decided to stop by this restaurant. I'm so glad we did because the food was excellent. We had the flights of margaritas, which were so delicious and tasteful. We also tried the red aguachiles with watermelon, which were different but good. We tried the beef tongue, my favorite. It came with lots of onions and green salsa along with rice and black fried beans. I will definitely be dinning h we re again.

Ismael and Claudia always welcome us like family. Claudia was so sweet and gave us coupons for free appetizers. This is our go to spot for celebrations. Its always good vibes, great music, and excellent customer service. The staff work as a team to help all customers not just their customers which is amazing! There's nothing worse than needing something and asking someone who tells you they'll grab your server. I love that Amores de Julia staff all help you. Wenlove this place and will continue to come back. The manager always makes her rounds to the table to ensure customers are happy and satisfied.

The high desert has a swanky restaurant! Los Amore's de Julia serves food that is delicious and the atmosphere is just lovely. This is a great date spot, couples are afforded privacy in the oversized booths. Get ready to spend at least $25 per person for food. We did not drink during our lunch time visit, but there was a mobile bartender that was available. The QR code was very original, I would suggest checking out the menu before going. The chicharrones guacamole and ribeye appetizer was delicious. I also enjoyed their Jugo de carne.

Food was absolutely delicious. The tomahawk steaks were extremely tender, that left your taste buds salivating. The carne en su jugo reminded me of homemade food, that your grandma would made when you were sick or when it was cold outside. The camarones al la diabla were giant shrimp that had a savory chipotle flavor. Also, when the food was added with handmade tortillas and spicy chili peppers, it was a wrap. For the alocholic drinks, the cantarito and the jamaica magarita were aesthetically appealing along with great sweet/sour flavors. This restaurant's service & ambiance speaks for itself. They put on a live show! This is a place where you can bring your friends, your date, your family, business partners, and possibly your ex, and you'll definitely be the talk of the night. 10 out of 10 experience.

What a great place to go and eat. From the moment we walked in the door the place was very nice. All staff were very welcoming and respectful. We loved the atmosphere and the staff. We had Claudia as our waiter and she was amazing . The customer service that she provided was above expectations. She recommended certain dishes and I must say there were the best. We came here for my husband’s birthday and the food and drinks were really good. They had Mariachi playing which made it even better. Will definitely be coming back again. Hopefully we get Claudia as our waiter again 😊

Not your abuelita's recipes. Los Amores de Julia is a fusion of traditional dishes with a modern twist and unique flavors. If you're looking for a gem in the desert to celebrate a special event, then this is the place. They also have a brunch menu on the weekends. If you're pulling a trailer or have an RV there's plenty of parking and bonus the gas station nextdoor sells propane and there's an RV resort across from the hotel and a Target across from restaurant.

This is not only a Good Restaurant. But a Fabulous Dining Experience. The moment you walk into the door. With the warm greetings. To the spectacular ambience of new age vs traditional mexican. Best Margarita I’ve had in the HD. This place is high end Mexican food. Expect high end prices. The food is worth it! I can see long wait times during peak hours. Maybe try a less busy time. Definitely my new go to spot for good food and drinks.

This place is upscale and serves high end Mexican cuisine, unlike anything in the high desert. The top shelf drinks are impressive too. If you want the feel of a Melrose or Palm Springs vibe without leaving the HD, come here; you won’t be disappointed.

First time visiting and expectations were different. Very high end and pricey but a very neat environment. Super friendly staff and food and drinks came out quick. Was surprised when my tacos half the the price because it was Taco Tuesday. Expect to pay more then most Mexican restaurants in the high desert but it is worth the food and experience. Nera was our waitress and she was great! Thanks guys!

Anyone who leaves less than 4 stars must have been to a different place. Our waitress, Sandra, was pleasant and professional. She made us feel at home. The food was the best restaurant Mexican food I have ever had. Great ambience! If we lived closer, we would be here every week. If you find yourself in Hesperia, don't miss this place!

R

We had the queso fundido as an appetizer and it was so good. Definitely recommended that. As for our dinner, I got the quesabirria tacos which came with beans and rice and my girl got the Agua chiles camarones. 10/10 fr lol.

Me and my family came celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday. The service is 5/5! I cannot stress it enough on how attentive the servers were, even after having a party of 8 and 2 kids. Refills were brought instantly. Very friendly staff, atmosphere was super clean and organized. All the food was very flavorful and fresh. We even had live mariachi! I had cafe de olla which came with a cute concha, and reminded me of Mexico. As an appetizer we had queso fundido and it was so flavorful! Having tortillas a mano was a bonus! You could even see her making them the tortillas in the dine-in area. As my entree I had chilaquiles verdes (not dry at all) with a strawberry mimosa. Make sure to ask them for the habanero salsa if you like the spice, but be careful it’s deadly! Overall a very great experience. I will definitely be returning.

Food is unique, a little pricey, but excellent, staff is friendly and attentive. Decor is nicely done. Very modern and upbeat vibe. Do come to this spot, I’ve traveled all over the globe from Japan to Finland and I’m a dude who was originally from Texas so I don’t say this lightly, this place is five star and gives a five star experience don’t let the location or somewhat rough exterior fool you this is a classy spot. I saw this place exiting the local target and when you walk through the door you are immediately immersed in this establishment charm. The lights are low and the windows light up the modern yet rustic interior. If you are a person who want to just enjoy food or have a great brunch dinner or breakfast this is the spot to relax and dine. If you fancy a drink they have a luxuriously stocked bar with tequilas lovers delight Clase Azul variety from the mezcal azul and much more. Yolanda was our server today and she was very attentive and kind and very informative on the food selection and was able to get the kitchen staff to make some incredible house salsas green habanero and a nice classic chile salsa. I ordered the lengua ranchera my wife got the shrimp ceviche my daughter got the chicken quesadilla and our appetizer was the best guacamole and pork chicharrones. Listen to say that this food was great is an understatement everything was seasoned and prepared to the nth degree. The appetizer has to have a local vendor for their avocados it was perfectly blended with the lime onions tomatoes and I believe mango the citrus was in sync and it just breathed freshness. My wife’s ceviche was beautiful and delicious with fresh shrimp avocados what I assume is a pickled onion and a spicy lime juice with their custom green tostada shells. My lengua was perfect the meat was perfectly cooked tender with green sauce I highly recommend you get the corn tortillas to make tacos. Lastly my daughter’s quesadillas was amazing the chicken cheese and perfectly crisped exterior made the bite amazing. All in all this is an awesome spot and my hat goes off to whoever though of this spot from the menu to the food and the set up of the restaurant makes this a very lovely and awesome place. So from eating to drinking or a spot to hang out and share some food this is the place. Also one of the key things to what I think makes this place successful the staff is happy in example I saw folks celebrate a birthday they danced and have the lights flashing for specific birthday celebration and a sound system that kicks. I also heard the kitchen staff singing in the back it was awesome for someone who cooks and travels I can say without a doubt when food is good it’s because the folks making it care and to hear them sing while they prep let’s you know these folks care. Thank you to the staff and cooks 🫡🤝

Visiting family. My hunnis needed a drink and I needed fresh air. We drove along Main Street and saw this cute restaurant. It was near closing but the bartender (Yolanda) hooked us up with delicious drinks. My hunnis had a Hibiscus Margarita & a Mango Margarita… it looked so pretty!!! I don’t drink alcohol so I just had a hibiscus tea🌺. She made it perfect!! The best hibiscus tea I’ve ever had. She was also great company. It was a quick drink since it was near closing. Will stop by again and try their food.

We visited Los Amore's de Julia o er the weekend to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. Los Amores delivered a most memorable dining experience. The food is elevated Mexican cuisine with all the best of ingredients. We started with the guacamole and rib eye served with chicharon, awesome. Followed that with the asada tacos which were very clean and full of flavor. The carnitas plate was a full serving of on the bone (costillas) perfectly seasoned and tender pork served with pickled onions and tortillas de maiz. Throw in a couple drinks and a shot and enjoy. The DJ was on point and the Shot Shot service to the groups around us made for a very entertaining and fun evening. Thank you to our server Misael who was very engaging and attentive. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner even better than expected.

Wow the food was absolutely delicious. I got the conchitas tacos, husband got Chile Embarazado, and MIL got the ceviche with watermelon in it per servers recommendation. EVERY SINGLE BITE was so good!!! Flavors and textures were all 10/10, even the crackers they serve with the ceviche were a perfect complement. I will admit the hostess did not get us a high chair after being asked twice, but I won't knock the review because our server got it right away when asked. The only single complaint I have is that the music was pretty dang loud for only having about 4 tables sat in the restaurant. I felt like I had to shout across the table to speak to my family. Will definitely come back whenever we pass through town.

We had a great time. The service and food were excellent! They did a vapor on the mimosas that gave it a mystical look. Nice touch. Would highly recommend! Mariachi music was very entertaining!!

The atmosphere of this restaurant was incredible, good vibes, I loved the decoration and the music, the mole and the delicious el guacamole con pedacitos de steak acompañado de chicarrón 🤤mezcalito de mango was the best. If you want to dance at your table and have a great time, this is your place in Hesperia.

I loved the decorations and the restaurant was very clean. Neri and Marisela was amazing and they made sure everything from our food to our drinks was perfect. I will definitely be back. Very high end restaurant in the high desert with dJ on weekends. The food was delicious and loved the salsa. 10/10 restaurant Super

What an absolutely gorgeous, upscale place! It truly feels like a restaurant you’d find at a high-end Mexican resort. The tables were beautiful, the décor was stunning, and the overall vibe was incredible. The food was delicious —a great variety of classic Mexican dishes along with a few rare ones you don’t normally see. The drinks were crafted wonderfully and were super creative. Service was excellent, and the music was the perfect touch! I hadn’t heard Mexican pop hits from the ’80s and ’90s in such a long time. It brought a wave of nostalgia and set the mood for the entire night. If you’re looking for a modern Mexican resort vibes, this place nails it. Prices run on the higher side, but overall, it was an excellent experience. Went on a Friday evening & seated quickly.

Been here many times for dinner and decided to try the brunch. The cafe de olla was super good. The frijoles chilaquiles were super bomb. Also had the pozole verde and it didn’t disappoint. The portions were really good size and the prices were pretty similar to most brunch spots. The atmosphere gets loud with shots and when the mariachi arrives, but that’s what makes the experience better. Lastly, ever time I’ve gone the restaurant is clean. I’ll be back for sure.

As someone who comes from the culinary industry, I have to say this place is wonderful. I’ve only had brunch here once but I can guarantee I’ll be back. Everything from the ambiance, food, presentation of the food, and service is top notch. The restrooms were very clean (which is a huge indicator of how well they take care of their place). This isn’t your typical Mexican restaurant. If you are looking for generic tacos with chips and salsa, this isn’t your location. If you want excellent food cooked with pride and love that tickle your taste buds in the best way possible, then this is your place.

Seen a promotion on IG for Bichota paint night, so me and my friend signed up. We had to go in to pay before the event. Day of event we went in, got there early cause we wanted to get good seats. Check in was easy. U have to scan a qr code on a cute little wooden heart for the menu. (I would prefer an actual menu, though). We had to wait a few minutes while they finished setting up. Then it was time, my friend and I were first, the rest followed behind and the hostess said it was open seating and we can sit anywhere. We picked our seats and were settling in, when another staff came and told us we had to move because the whole front table was reserved for a party. They moved us to the back, where one of us had our back to the painting. Neither my friend nor I wanted to sit there. They let us turn our small table horizontal. And we both sad on the bench. The actual party got there so late, we didnt start til almost 30 mins after the posted start time. Took a while to get our complimentary glasses of wine. We had ordered margaritas in the meantime and food. It came sooo fast that we actually let it sit there until we were done with our painting. They also gave my friend chicken enchiladas, when she had ordered cheese, they fixed it right away, though. Now the painting.. $40 for a glass of wine and to paint, seemed to be a decent price ( the most ive paid anywhere else and ive done close to 15 sip and paints), but then the painting canvas was like a small one with a pre-drawn picture in it, that we pretty much just had to color it in. In comparison to some of the actual sip and paints I've been to this was far from what I expected and the price was not worth what I got. The artist, just started off by saying to paint the background and then that was it. She was good at entertaining and amping up the group, but I would never go do another sip and paint there. My food was yummy, I had the sopes. It had chunks of chicken, i actually shredded it and took off almost half, but flavor was there. The margaritas, were fun to look at and cool for the ig shots, but taste could have been wayyy better. We had to ask a few times for napkins and even the group next to us asked us for napkins once we got them, because they didnt bring out any to tables. With the painting, food, and drinks... it was hard to move things around because the tables in the back are small. I ended up having to leave almost 3 hours in and got up to pay at the bar. As we're leaving the artist/host was bringing out hats for picture props and was going to do prizes. Sadly I couldn't stay. If the event had started on time, I would have been able to participate. My friend and I still had fun, but the event was not worth the price. I would only go back to try different food, but thats about it.

I went for a birthday, with my husband. Los Amores de Julia has FANTASTIC service. Service is so important to me, I love being taken care of. Kenya, as a hostess, was a pleasant start to our visit. Our server, Maricella (mari) was exceptional. I wish I could have Maricela every visit. Thank you Maricela and Kenya! Overall, the experience was good. The food was good, no chips and salsa, no rice and beans included, and everything was a little expensive. Think, fancy mexican food. They have mariachi every Thursday at 7pm! We will be back. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful.

The reviews were mixed but decided to check it out for ourselves. I have to say the atmosphere was great for a dinner for two or to celebrate with friends and family. The food was delicious. From the fresh handmade tortillas to the Jericalla dessert a la crème brûlée style. The only issue was the price. To put it in perspective a watermelon margarita with an upgrade to Don Julio tequila was nearly 30 bucks. So if you don’t mind spending a little more go check them out. You’ll enjoy the food and vibe.

It wasn’t super bad. I like the ambiance. My food came out cold and my drink didn’t taste like there was alcohol in it. Drinks are about $18 each which is expensive for the High Desert but I can understand since everything is so high now but it didn’t taste like alcohol at all. The staff was all nice, each person. The staff comes out dancing when it’s your birthday. It’s a cool spot for an experience type restaurant in the High Desert. I’d go again but not every week. I might try the bar next time since I do like the drink I had but I have to watch to see how much alcohol is going in since it’s all measured. I’d try it again for sure.

Fun atmosphere, very contemporary Mexican style. The food was great, had their tacos de cochinita (pibil) and they were flavorful. The plate came with 4 tacos, which were very loaded, and a mild green salsa. Their alcoholic drinks are also very tasty. Mine came on a cute little pink chair with eye capturing fog coming out of it. Prices are on the higher end, but I'd say fair. The food my family has tried so far has no complaints. Shots are $30, and mixed drinks average about $18. The second time there, we took my daughter to celebrate her 16th bday. Everything was great, with the exception that they never came out for the birthday shout-out as we requested. This was what we were excited for, as they celebrate loudly with aflashing dance. We waited about 20 minutes before deciding to just pay and leave. This was on a Sunday morning, which wasn't busy at the time. I just suggest better communication :)

QR code menue. Service is very friendly, but as it got busier, it lacked a bit. Food was good one of the better mexican food places in HD. Ambiance was good, but at times too loud to have a conversation with those in your table. But they had a saxophone player and then a DJ so it was very enjoyable.

Went out to this place without planning it we didn't know what we were craving ended up getting shrimp tacos and fish tacos they were absolutely delicious, the service was great and the vibe was on point the music wasn't to loud we could actually talk with each other fairly easy, thanks for the great time. Update 7/26/25 last 2 times we have gone to this place. They have added additional items to our tab. Like alcoholic beverages that we did not drink or make sure you guys double check your receipts and everything that you guys actually did eat and drink, because you will get right. Additional things added to your bill.......

I am so sad. We were told by a waiter that they were trying to go for an elevated experience. The service, I don't say this lightly, SUCKS. They get you drinks, like 3 different people brought us our food and then completely forgot about us. No, the restaurant was not busy. The tortillas were so small it was sad. The price for the food is not worth it. My torta was almost rubbery like it had been microwaved. Depending on your dish you have to get rice and beans separate, 6$ a side, and they bring you the smallest portion of it. We ordered an appetizer, the queso fresco, and it took forever for the tortillas that are supposed to come with it to come out. We started eating the cheese, and a waiter was nice enough to give us a prepackaged Tostada. we broke up and used it as chips. Drinks were good but again not worth the price.

Food was good, but expensive. Apparently there were free refills on our horchata, but we had to ask after we had finished what we were given. Service was weird bc it felt like the server was making up for messing up our entree order by not giving it to the kitchen.-. The hostess sat us near someone that was having a birthday, where they turned up the music really loud. Not really kid friendly, but tolerant.

Very nice ambience. Very polite crew. Very nice food presentation. Service, is too absent. Don't get me wrong, when the person is there, is very nice and professional. But once is gone, it takes an act of God to get it back. Food is 6 out of 10. I really don't mind paying for good food, but this one doesn't have a flavor that satisfied me or my family. Going back? No. Other places wait to be discovered.

The place is very nice, we had the saxophone musician which was amazing. The drinks were good and I loved the rolling bar right to your table. The food on the other hand was just regular, a bit salty for me. I got the pork enchiladas, no rice or beans, just two enchiladas and the price was above $20 for that. Very pricey, but the music and drinks were good. Also no paper menu, all done by scanning with your phone, no pictures of what you are ordering or getting either.

I’m sad to give this restaurant a low rating because it is one of the most beautiful environments. I just moved to the high desert and one of the things I left behind was the variety of amazing high class restaurant choices that I had previously. I lived in Sylmar so there were great choices in any direction from me, including in credible Mexican food. Now I’m not even remotely familiar with authentic Mexican food so I can’t review that specifically but I can say that this isn’t your “hole in the wall” food. I had looked at the menu beforehand so I knew it was going to be more upscale and therefore, much pricier. I didn’t expect it to be so….meh. I had the chicken enchiladas. They were plated beautifully and they weren’t bad but they just weren’t anything to write home about either. Again….meh. My fiancé had the ribeye and lobster. This was also plated beautifully. He said the lobster was good (I hate seafood so I didn’t try) and we both had the ribeye. He wasn’t impressed but I loved it (he is picky with ribeye). They forgot his tortillas and when we did get them, they were the wrong ones. Easy mistake…. That doesn’t bother me. I had no idea about the entertainment on Thursday nights so that was a surprise. It was really loud but I didn’t care to have a conversation anyways so that didn’t bother me either. The band was wonderful. It seemed that there were a few birthdays going on this night and the restaurant celebrates by coming out with fun blinking lights and high energy. I enjoyed that. Not sure everyone would but I like raves so flashing lights are always welcome to me. Lol 😂 They had a photographer and videographer going around all night. I thought this might be because of the birthdays or something but then the photographer came around and took our photos, which I thought was odd. Turns out, they come back with your framed photos to sell to you for $25 each. This felt incredibly tacky!!! I don’t do well under pressure and we bought one. This alone is something that would keep me from coming back. To put that pressure on a customer at dinner it’s just so weird. I’ve never had anything like that happen. I knew the pricing was going to be high and was prepared for that… but again, food was just meh. OMG and the guac was soooooo tiny! They serve pork rinds with it, not chips. I get it…. They are a “fancy” but that was so disappointing. Even in other high class Mexican restaurants I’ve been to, there is the option for chips. I just wish I had known that before spending $14. Overall…. Environment 9/10…. Lowering just because the photo sales are super weird. Food was 8/10 but pricing knocks it down a bit more and the lack of chips honestly ruins it for me. The place seems like it’s more concerned with its social media presence…with all the beautifully plated food and such. But just not worth it for us.

I tried the Steak and Lobster and it was really good, my fiance tried a birria plate, I forgot what it was called, the taste was a 10/10. So the food is amazing but pricey and small portions for the price. Drinks are also really pricey , can't say if the alcoholic drinks are good or not since we did not try them but $16 for a margarita is a bit much. Soda drinks are super small as well, you'd have to keep asking for a refill pretty fast since the glass cups are so small, was bummed out because I didn't drink that much so I wouldn't bother the waitress as much, so I barely drank anything. $6 for a small soda cup . So overall I would have to give it a 3/5 because the price of the food and the amount , same with the drinks. Also , the inside is very pretty .

They have mariachi after 8 pm, was there too early. Reserved table but place was fairly empty Friday 5pm. Order one of their custom drinks if you ask for a Double or add shot that’s about 15-17 for the added shot Bacardi at that. Carne en su jugo was lacking on the meat tasty carne en su jugo but prefer more protein. Queso fresco on point as well as tortillas given. Service can be a work in progress when looking to pay my bill I couldn’t find my server just asked anybody for the bill.

We have been here before and all the other dishes we have had are good . I was pretty upset this time around we ordered 3 tomahawk steaks , two medium rare one medium . They all came out medium well worst of all they chopped the steaks up anyone that knows steak knows the juices and the steaks experience comes from the cut. I will return but never again will I’ll get a tomahawk from here .

First, we are foodies. We travel all over in search of the perfect mix of atmosphere, service, flavor & drinks…. So, with that in mind, Los Amores De Julia offers an experience unparalleled to what’s offered here in the desert. Atmosphere was awesome! Nothing really like it here in the desert. Loved the bar they bring to the table and drinks were tasty with a great presentation they weren’t very strong, but they tasted amazing. Food was lacking salt and heat (temperature and spice), but was delivered with great presentation. Tacos were great (with salt, Crema and some tweaks like salsa, habanero pickled onions & avacado… all ordered separately and charged for accordingly), the best dish (we ordered several… 3 types of tacos, a Mexican pizza thing with meat like jerky, shrimp enchiladas, chorizo Mac and cheese, and 2 different appetizers) were the shrimp enchiladas, they were spiced well, shrimp cooked perfectly, a good balance of heat with cream to balance… they were the only dish served at an appropriate temperature. I wish they had a taco sampler, we had to order each type separately at $18-$20 each. I’d have happily paid $20-$25 for a plate where I could choose 4 different tacos instead of paying for 4 of each kind. The chorizo Mac n cheese was fantastic, no complaints here except it was nearly missed as it was listed as an add on and not as an appetizer… order this if you love savory foods! The strange Mexican pizza (can’t pronounce or spell the name of it in the menu), was awful, for a $20 dish we were disappointed and left it nearly untouched. The overall experience reminded me of dining in Rosarito. I’d go again for a lunch with the girls, but dinner prices were too high with the lacking flavors in several dishes and food not as hot as I’d feel safe with… overall the experience is unlike what’s offered locally and I will likely go again in hopes for a more satisfactory food service. This seems to be a family business as a little kiddo was helping out by bringing napkins and asking if we needed anything. Service was attentive and everyone was friendly, so no complaint there, if you don’t speak any Spanish, there may be a language barrier & I recommend previewing the menu to make ordering easier. The mini Mexican candies with the check was a nice touch. With a few tweaks to the menu, some salt and some attention to temperature, this would be a favorite! Atmosphere & drinks are what we’d expect in LA, a bit further with the food and this would be perfection!

D
Dominic Avila

Had a fair experience here, though the service was not great and NO CHIPS / SALSA. Wasn't my favorite, but some of the family loved it. I enjoyed the chorizo mac and cheese as well as the carnitas. Beans and rice were great as well as the Jamaica! This place is pretty high priced, so I was expecting things to be a bit better, honestly. I still really recommend that you try it if you're considering going. The atmosphere is great and lively, my kids did great. But if you got kids and they're a bit sensitive to loud music, yelling, and flashing lights... you might reconsider dropping by.

Food was great and margaritas phenomenal, especially the Jamaica one. Beware of getting shots though. We were offered some reposado and one other kind of tequila and were not told this was extremely expensive. The bartender didnt speak much english anyway and wasnt able to understand when i had asked him which margaritas were better. So we felt we got tricked. We were having a great time until the bill came and then the night was full of regret over 4 shots of tequila. They dont have prices listed and you need to ask before you drink it. If it wasn't for this part of the experience I would give it 5 stars.

Service was slow. We had to ask for the menu. The portions were small, and my meal stated it was beef with its own juice. I think I received liver with toasted bacon. I don't like to complain and wind up getting worse service. I was very disappointed with this restaurant.

The server took long to bring our drinks. Our drinks were taken to the wrong table. We were asked if we wanted an appetizer we never got. Both my margaritas mango and Tamarindo were tart sour, unable to drink. Music was too loud. They had a dj. Atmosphere was dinner very nice however music was so loud unable to talk. Felt like a club. Mole enchiladas and rib eye would give 3 stars. As I walked in, it looked intimate and very nice. Music was loud for a dine in place. I went to the bathroom and had no toilet paper in the stall I was about to use. The stall had matte glass and could see the sillohute of person using potty in the next stall. I guess I had higher expectations. Waitresses and the servers were nice. Nice interior design of the place. Music /dj just did not compliment the ambiance. Disappointed. Place just opened. We are looking forward to this place as we planned on bringing our family. I did expect better for $$$$.

The service at this restaurant was good, and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the food just didn’t live up to the price tag. The prices are way overpriced for what you’re getting. For example, $6 for a small side of rice, and there’s no chips, dip, or even salsa on the side ,just a basic side that doesn’t justify the cost. It would be one thing if the food was absolutely amazing, but honestly, it’s just average at best. This place feels like it’s trying to be a high-end Mexican restaurant, but the food quality doesn’t match the upscale vibe they’re going for. It’s disappointing because the service was good, but I expected a lot more considering the prices. I don’t mind paying for quality, but this didn’t deliver.

C
Claudia Ventura

We went to have a good time and I was actually disappointed. We asked a couple times if they were able to change the music since it was repeating over and over again and they just didn’t care …. It was not even half way full and they still took for ever to refill our coffee or get our alcohol beverages.

Food tastes good, but servings are so small for the price. The tortillas were swatches. Sad. The drinks are also small. The service was not nice. They brought out one order and then forgot all about us. I tried to get the attention of a few different servers, but they were busy talking amongst themselves and lining up chairs with engineer precision. I was looking forward to eating here because my daughter told me about it. She also told me it was very, very expensive. The meals for her and her boyfriend were $79 before tax, so my expectation for a delicious meal was high. The place is pípiris-nice but not worth the price.

Was there 11/22/25 ordered Chicharron de Ribeye, nothing different from any guacamole with some meat for $28 dollars also I ordered the Mole Dona Julia and I got a piece of leg and a thigh not a chicken breast for $26 dollars (I had better moles) this one it was super sweet, place is clean but service horrible, no one clean the tables or ask if I need more soda or water, you just get the food, the check and bye bye, I know nothing is cheap but personal opinion food is overpriced, for the same money I rather go eat by the beach.

Never again its way expensive for the food. Small portions but it did have great costumer service but to me is not worth it.

After asking what we were celebrating, we said a birthday. Our server Tiff took 30 minutes to take our drink order, 15 minutes for our food order then another 20 minutes to bring the last plate because she forgot it. She said she’ll bring us shots because it was my friends birthday. However, when it was time to pay, we were charged 120$ for 4 House shots but put on the receipt that they were don julio 70. She recalled my friends asking for it when the one she was referring to doesn’t drink. Then remembered that our table asked for a special shot and I told her that she perhaps confused us with another table because the special drink was not on my receipt. The manager was trying to convince me that as long as we drank the shots, he was still charging us. Nonetheless, being short staffed wasn’t her fault so we tipper her well. For it being our first time at this restaurant, I’m dissatisfied with the service.

The restaurant itself was aesthetically beautiful — the décor and atmosphere were modern and inviting, which immediately set high expectations. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the presentation. I ordered the asada fries, which were disappointing. They were overly salty and had too much cotija cheese, overpowering any other flavor. The fries themselves were light in color and not properly fried, leaving them soft and mushy instead of crisp. I also tried the tomahawk steak, which had a nice tenderness but, again, was too salty and lacked any real depth of flavor. For such a high-end dish, I expected more balance and seasoning. Another concern was the restroom design. The bathroom had frosted glass doors, but they were not fully opaque — I could clearly see the silhouette and even the color of the clothing of the person in the next stall. It made for an uncomfortable experience and felt like a major privacy issue. Overall, while the restaurant’s look and atmosphere were stunning, the food quality and restroom design left much to be desired. Basically this sucks, go to Pvs by the Walmart instead.
