This was a great experience. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was very relaxed and country feeling. Mist people wore jeans and western wear. It was a little surprising that the atmosphere was so relaxed for the price of the food. The service was good but not excellent, again not the quality of service you’d expect from a restaurant at that price point. The steaks were amazing and the blackberry cobbler was vey good. We will go again.
What a nice restaurant this is! It’s cute, historic, and scenic outside (especially if you like looking at baseball fields). The food was great! He loved the prime rib stuffed mushrooms and pork chops with fried apples. My steak was great and full of flavor. The drinks were good, as well. We adored the strawberry rhubarb pie. It is especially neat to me to be enjoying such fine cuisine in the same building (aka. mess hall) where my father ate as a student over sixty years ago; how fun is that? We’ll definitely be back! Right now, we are a little sad that we did not attend last night, as I’m writing this on a Sunday.
I loved the atmosphere of the Dining Hall, the food was delicious & our server was excellent. We will definitely be going back! We had the triple 3 appetizer it was fantastic as was our Fillet it was delicious!
Amazing experience! Beef Tallow fried Calamari was amazing. Ribeye was perfectly cooked. It’s not cheap, but it is EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. The scampi was just okay. Best part is the homemade deserts. We had the strawberry shortcake and coconut cream pie. Both were incredible. The Dining Hall is great! The whole setup at this facility is amazing. Great scenery. Great concessions. Great restaurant onsite. I don’t understand why they’re not open all day when they have tournaments at the facility. A great place to grab a beer or cocktail (also exceptionally good) between games. This place could pull off a great breakfast brunch or lunch menu. Staffing very attentive, professional, and courteous.
Such a yummy + unique place! We had the ump’s choice, surf & turf, and ballpark beast. Each item was very flavorful and fresh. The service was fast and our waitress was so sweet! I would recommend to anyone.

My husband‘s steak was perfect to medium well. I don’t love prime rib because it is usually too mushy for me. However, it was on special the night we were there so I ordered it and it was absolutely wonderful. It was not mushy just very tender and very, very very good. The service was great. It is family owned and operated and they have a lot to be very proud of. Entrées started around $29. Steak options were higher, but very fair. We will definitely be back.!
Great food! Steak was very good along with the lobster tail! Depending on the steak, you could cut it with a fork! Very nice staff, and never let a drink get empty. My family said they hadn’t had that good of steak in a long time! Price is pretty fair for the food you eat. Highly recommend!
Everything was excellent. I love catfish, so thats what i ordered and it was the best I've ever had. However, after my husband shared a bite of his ribeye, I've decided I will only order steak in our future visits. The steak was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked - absolutely to die for. Service was top notch. This place is amazing!
The BEST food! This little hidden gem is one of a kind. We had the most delicious and fresh food, we've ever tasted. The lobster tail - the best. Chicken Parmesan - to die for! The rolls - homemade, soft and the best you've ever had! Homemade peach cobbler - absolutely delicious! This charming restuarant, was warm and inviting. The staff is some of the best. Everyone was accommodating, had a smile on their face and was happy to serve you. This will be a place we come back to frequently. I don't have enough words to say about this place. You'll just have to go see it for yourself. You won't regret it.
Definitely, hands down the best steak I’ve ever had ! I’ve had a lot of steak and their steaks were surprisingly tasty and delicious. I’m not sure where The Dining Hall obtains their beef or how they cook it, but it was very tender!! ( and i eat mine more on the well done side and it was still tender) . The drinks from the bar are spot on as well. Service was great, atmosphere was cute and noise control was mild, easily can have a conversation at your table with friends. Plenty of tables for a larger group. Outside seating area will be nice in the summer. We have found a great place to eat in Miller MO

The atmosphere and staff at the Dining Hall were great. I’ve been to a lot of good restaurants and the steaks here are top notch. And the deserts are all home made. Definitely worth a visit.
EXCELLENT! This restaurant is a real gem — I’m not sure where else you can find such a combination of delicious food and genuinely friendly service. We ordered an appetizer, bar drinks, and entrees, and everything was perfectly prepared. The pork chops were especially impressive, and I only wish I had saved room for one of their homemade desserts. The fried mushrooms, zucchini, and onion rings were absolute standouts. Conveniently located just outside of Springfield, it’s absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Met up with the whole office for our annual dinner with spouses. Drinks were bomb and dinner was superb. A wonderful evening while the snow flew over the fields.

Wow this place is tucked back in the country but the food and drinks are next level. The catfish and steak and lobster was amazing.

Went with my friends out to celebrate birthday!! The food was amazing so delicious! I have alpha gal and some other allergies. The chicken kabobs and asparagus so delicious!!

2 stars cause atmosphere was amazing....my husband and I heard ALot of good things about this restaurant so I was super excited to try it we wanted to go for Valentines but they were booked so we went tonight I ordered a $50 filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus my husband had a steak and lobster I ordered my steak medium it was almost well done we never received the asparagus or lobster after watching it sit in the windows throughout most of our meal server never returned after dropping of food until we told her to never mind about lobster and asparagus she returned with a bill and was pleased to say we discounted the lobster and asparagus then she blamed the kitchen for us not receiving it when we saw it sitting in the window and offered us to take it to go....super disappointed
