My GOODNESS~! What a burger :) Haven't been to Chester's in over 30 years and was blown away by my double hamburger! See cross section picture. Double plain with bacon only and I still couldn't finish it - made a nice snack later. You won't be disappointed! Go get one today :) :) Fries were very yummy too! I highly recommend !

My favorite burger in all of San Antonio! I’ve been coming to Chester’s since I was a kid, and it’s just as good today as it has been all these years. The fries are fresh and always cooked perfectly. I get the chili cheeseburger, and while it’s a little messy, it’s absolutely delicious. The onion rings and shakes are great, too!

Chili cheeseburger, onion rings, and unsweet tea. The burger and onion rings came out smoking hot, and everything was fantastic. Every chili burger is messy by nature, but that's not a bad thing. The flavor of the chili and the nicely seasoned burger with the melty cheese made this an outstanding burger. The onion rings are easily in the top three in San Antonio. Cool, nostalgic place. I think I changed my burger choice three times while ordering, but the woman taking my order was very patient.

I gave the atmosphere a 3 because I only saw 1 melanated male there. The double cheeseburger was #1 I've had so far. And the bun was delicious. The jalapeño popper wasn't what I expected but it was what I selected 😆. It was just a raw jalapeno, split in half with some type of stuffing and it tastes like 1000 Island dressing. Not bad , but I'll pass. The fries were good, nicely salted.

Went to eat here back in March 16, 2023. I tried the Chili cheese hamburger and was very impressed with the flavor of the burger. The customer service was really good. However the ice cream was not as sweet as it looked. But I still will recommend for people to try this place out. Food was good.

Chester's serves good burger that all still run less than or at $10 for a double cheeseburger. The burgers are juicy, and the double will more than fill you up. The fries are also generously served even with a small order. You'll have to add your own salt because they don't. Or if they do it's unnoticeable. The shakes are good and the vibe is older but fun. Lunch rush is awful so go during an off hour. Parking at this location might be a little tougher in a bigger vehicle.

My memory of the taste of the burger was better than it was tonight. I don't remember poppy seeds being on the bun. The Burger boy burger patty has better flavor IMO.

I want to give this place a second try. I went there and the the place actually looks pretty cool inside. I got the burger to go and it was a sloppy mess. My burger didn't look like the ones I see being reviewed on here. Next time I'm in the area I'll give it another try.. maybe they had someone new working the grill.

Too pink for my liking, not impressed at all. The one thing I did enjoy about the burger is the bun but the veggies being served at the bottom of the burger made my bun sloggy and no longer manageable to eat without a fork. If I visited this establishment again, I'd order veggies on the side and the patty cooked well, and would ask for salt for flavor. I believe in second chances and feel this place has the potential to not disappoint the second time around.

Charging 50 cents for pre poured sauce after we get food is insane. Train your managers to ask about sauce how are we supposed to know you’ll charge. Last time I’ll be here. Going to fat burger from now on.

Great food, but if there was a try not to be miserable challenge the manager would lose everytime, he so obviously hates his life and it radiates to every employee around him. While he sits and eats his own restaurants food and grows his stomach even bigger than it already is, his employees are avoiding him so they don’t get screamed at in front of all the customers. Doing everything right but why not find someone that will appreciate their job.
