Located right on Ala Moana boulevard next to the Hilton Grand vacations club, Goofy Cafe and Dine is a cozy , and hidden spot known for their breakfast and lunch options with choices of many tropical drinks and cocktails and locally brewed beer as well as their well known homemade fresh lemonade. If you're here for breakfast definitely try their eggs Benedict with selection of bacon and spinach, salmon and spinach, kalua pork, or crab cake with real snow crab. We ordered their salmon and spinach option and the lilikoi butter is a great touch to the eggs Benedict. Also try their Big Island Beef Loco Moco which comes with homemade patties made with big island beef two eggs and served over brown rice. Personally, didn't like their brown gravy still overall was good meal. They have a wide selection of acai bowls as well with personal favorite being Niu Acai Bowl. If you're here for lunch definitely try the Green Spaghetti which is homemade or pesto with Hawaiian macadamia nuts and shrimp topped with Parmesan cheese. If you want to beat the line, you can come early and put your name on the sign up sheet.
Goofy's is a hidden gem! We loved the authentic surf atmosphere—super relaxed and cozy. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food tastes super fresh and clearly cooked from scratch with love. Best meal we have had on Oahu. We had the Loco Moco (the best we’ve ever had!), the Pesto Shrimp which was so fragrant, and the Kale Strawberry Salad—those kale chips on top are a game changer! Don't skip the Onion Rings either; they’re super crispy and come with great ranch. Hands down the best meal we’ve had on Oahu! I want to go back and try the French Toast and Mahi. I wish we had found it sooner so we could eat more often. Very close to the Hilton Hawaiian. Works for families with kids too!
Hands-down the single best breakfast we’ve ever eaten—anywhere, ever. The Eggs Benedict with pork was cooked to absolute perfection: silky hollandaise, perfectly poached eggs, and that pork was so tender and flavorful it basically melted in your mouth. The smoothie was fresh, vibrant, and honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. Then came the burger patty with fried egg and gravy—pure comfort-food heaven on a plate. Every bite was a huge, ridiculous hit. We’re still thinking about it hours later. Service was warm, genuine, and full of real smiles—like everyone working there actually loves what they do. We got incredibly lucky and walked right in, but by the time we left there was a long line out the door. Trust me: plan ahead and get here early, because this place is worth any wait. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Easily the meal of the trip—maybe the meal of the decade. Run, don’t walk. 👌🔥
Went here for my son‘s birthday. It’s a great restaurant downtown with Good Vibes service and food. Everybody loved their food. The green pasta was delicious. Mimosas were spot on, and the margaritas were delicious. I would add a little bit more lime to them to balance out the sweetness.
Don't let the name make you think this place isn't worth the trip, it definitely is. Walk up, sign the wait-list and wait to get seated. We had bfast here twice this week. The acai bowls are huge, and they are not shy with the amount of fruit added to the acai bowls, or the French toast, so your money is well spent. Coffee is good, the open-air atmosphere is very relaxed. It's an older building, but done up nicely inside.
Food was amazing, service was equally amazing! It’s a small restaurant so there was a little wait , but that’s because of its reputation and popularity. Well worth the wait!
Hit this place right in the middle of my morning run. The Hawaiian Omelette was soooo good and the Taro Muffin substitute - go for it! That muffin was so good I ran with the other half in my pocket on the way home… not recommended but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. This place filled my tummy in a way it hasnt been filled in a while, you know that good full feeling that reaches your heart? Yeah, that one.😋 I came by myself and got a table in about 15-20 minutes (Arrived around 7:45am). The staff is so friendly and add to the ambiance. Definitely hit it up. This visit I went with savory, next time I wanna try the sweet stuff 🧇 🤙🏽
🥞 Goofy Café & Dine – Waikīkī ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Goofy Café & Dine is one of the most delightful breakfast spots in Waikīkī. The menu is creative, colorful, and built around fresh, local ingredients with plenty of healthy, vegetarian-friendly options alongside indulgent favorites. The flavors are bright and satisfying, portions are generous, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed, service is warm and efficient, and the overall experience sets the tone for a perfect island morning. Whether you’re starting a day of sightseeing or easing into a beach walk, this place is an absolute must-visit for breakfast.
The food was delicious and staff members were lovely. Since it is a smaller restaurant, so plan to go on “off” times if possible. We ended up waiting 20 minutes when we stumbled across it around lunch time but the food was well worth the short wait. & don’t sleep on their iced coffee! It was delicious!
Huge portion sizes and the food was good. Get the fresh orange juice. I’d stay away from the omelette kind of comes out in a skillet and it was a little greasy. Yes, we got there at eight and it had a little over 30 minutes. Wait time.
Got there 2 mins to 7am when they open and we missed the sign up for first round of tables. We were a table of 2 and landed at number 16 on the waitlist. I'd recommend coming 10 to 15 mins early to sign up on the wait list sheet. Service is excellent. The staff are friendly and the lady spoke fluent Japanese. Those who couldn't wait on the wait list were offered to do take out. Atmosphere is very Hawaiian. The tables and chairs were the theme of a shack house and Hawaiian ukulele music was playing in the background. Cute restaurant on a second floor of a building. We got in at 7:35am and ordered by 7:40. Food and drinks came by 7:50am. Food was so delicious we finished at 7:58am. Papaya smoothie says limited, so I'm not sure if it's seasonal or until sold out. Was very good and can taste the lime in the smoothie. My friend had the POG mix. Strong guava flavour which is good. Not as sweet as my smoothie probably because of the orange juice. We shared the big breakfast loco moco. It was one of the best dishes I've had. I want to come back for the lunch loco moco which comes with fried rice instead of brown rice. The hamburger was slightly charred which gave it such a good flavour. The gravy reminded me of a Japanese hayashi rice. That gravy was savory and had butter flavours. Sunny side eggs had a crispy rim on the eggs. Loved it all and we had side plates so my friend who didn't like her rice draining in sauce while I loved my rice swimming in sauce could both satisfy our tastes. Highly recommend for their loco moco. I will come here everytime I come back to honolulu now. Update: I came back for lunch on a Tuesday. No line up and seating was relaxed. Ordered the lunch loco moco, green pasta, and pineapple iced tea. The lunch loco moco is $5 more than the breakfast loco moco. It was worth the extra $5. Instead of just brown rice, it comes with fried rice with kale, corn, and pork. My friend found it a bit salty after a few bites, but I loved it even more than the breakfast loco moco. It was really tasty and paired well with the pineapple iced tea. The pineapple iced tea was sweet but not too sweet. Bonus, it has free refills. Before leaving I wanted one more refill and the server asked if I wanted to take it to go. Service is excellent and staff are so friendly. Different servers for both visits, but everyone was attentive and all smiles. My friend had the green pasta, she really liked the nutty flavours. I tasted it and it had pesto and macadamia nuts. The garlic shrimp was good, but I felt the shrimp was slightly overcooked. Pasta was saucy, but texture of the pasta was very good and not too soft. Not the dish for me, but my friend said it's one of the best pastas she has had.
This is a must do in Honolulu! Especially if you are close to or staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village! We ate her last time visiting 7 years ago - we’re thrilled it was still here. And loved it just as much this time. It’s a smaller space - and there appears to be a short line all morning - but don’t be discouraged- it is so so worth waiting 5-15 minutes. So many great dishes to choose from! Their Benedict’s are crazy delicious! Had their vegetarian one - and recommend trying it with the taro muffin! I decided on the Morning Power Salad (can you tell we were trying for healthy for this meal - lol!). Yikes was it amazingly good! And you can tell from the picture - very healthy too! I could not finish it so - have a second meal for later! All the vegetables and fruits were so fresh and crisp and delicious! Could not resist the fresh pineapple - and glad I had poor will power. Just capped of a tremendous breakfast. Have to say that the wait staff/team were so friendly and thoughtful - despite being busy. Joshua always had a smile and was quick to help! So highly recommend having breakfast at this awesome spot - almost one of those classic hole in the wall spots that most will miss. Don’t you miss it!!
Great little spot for breakfast. Got there around 8am. Had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, which was nice because people said the wait would be long. When we left, the wait was much longer. Anyways, the employees were super friendly. Very nice people. My wife and I split the Goofy omelet and Ted Machado again bowl. The bowl had acai, granola, papaya, banana, strawberry, peanut butter and cacao flakes. Super delicious and very big. The omelet came with some eggs that were cooked perfectly, cheddar cheese, spinach, mushrooms (which we excluded), avocado, and Portuguese sausage. Prices were reasonable. Coffee was decent, with free refills. They even offered refills to go. Great little spot
Delightful breakfast spot with a cozy dinning area on the second floor. The food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Portion size was just right and good drink selection as well.
We got there around 10 am on a weekday and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Didnt know they do takeout, so next time we’ll skip waiting and get takeout instead. The people working there were nice and friendly. Food is very good as well. The Acai bowl and beef loco moco was tasty.
My favorite brunch place during my stay! I visited daily and tried something different each day with family. The food was always delicious and Goofy's has a refreshing variety of cocktails and mocktails. The seating options are eclectic and comfortable. The atmosphere is comfortable and fitting for family or lunch with friends. I want a Goofy's t-shirt or something swag... they dont have anything yet. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Always happy and professional as well.
The line moves quicker than you’d think and is well worth the wait! I arrived around 9:10am on a Wednesday and there was a line but we were in our seats within 20-25min. Service was amazing and very reminiscent of Japan (a few of the staff were definitely either Japanese or part Japanese). We ordered two dishes and an açai bowl and when they saw we weren’t done with our hot dishes when they prepared the açai bowl, they told us they’ll keep it in the fridge until we were ready. I didn’t even have to ask for them to bring out the açai bowl when we were ready. The waiter made eye contact with me at the right moment and knew to bring it out. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the Loco Moco. I don’t usually like Loco Moco but this was the best Loco Moco I’ve ever tried and I couldn’t stop eating it. We also ordered the Hawaiian Omelette (without cheese) and substituted for Taro Muffin. The Taro Muffin is a must. I think the lack of cheese made the omelette taste a bit less cohesive, but all of the ingredients were delicious on their own as well. The Niu Açai Bowl was massive and I loved the coconut jelly and chia seeds. The açai was pretty frozen / cold so great for a hot day! We also had 2 juices, which were delicious. In total, between two people, we had 3 dishes and 2 juices, which totaled to $100 including tip. The portions are quite generous so we were very full but did clean up most of our plates! Highly recommend and don’t be put off by the queue!
I stopped by Goofy Café & Dine this morning, about 30 minutes after opening, and the place was already packed! It’s on a second floor overlooking Ala Moana Blvd, with open windows that give it a great vibe…definitely made me wish I was dining in instead of taking out. Laura took my order and was so kind and genuine, it made the whole experience all the better. My food was ready in about 20 minutes, hot and packaged thoughtfully. She even kept my fruit plate separate from the hot dishes. We tried the Loco Moco and the Hawaiian French toast. I usually go for savory, but the French toast was the winner, light, not overly sweet, and topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit. The loco moco was tasty too, with fresh in-house patties and rich gravy. It’s easy to see why the place fills up so quickly
I arrived after 8 am… there is already a 45 mins- 1 hr wait, so I ended up ordering to go. french toast with papaya and pineapple is super flavorful and my side kale salad hit the spot 🩷 Laura is super nice too!
GOOFY Cafe & Dine in Hawaii is such a fun and relaxing spot. The atmosphere feels local and casual, and the food is fresh and flavorful — especially the acai bowls and loco moco. The staff are friendly, and the tropical interior gives off a real island vibe. It’s a great place to grab brunch before heading to the beach. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food with that laid-back Hawaiian charm.
Seriously in love with this spot. The food’s amazing, drinks hit the spot, and the atmosphere is pure relaxation. Perfect for a little me-time!⛱️
Took the family here for brunch on our last day in Hawaii and it didn't disappoint. The virgin Pina Colada was a hit with the girls, as well as their other fresh fruit juices. I love the fact that it's a local foodie restaurant, and not a chain. The fresh fruit acai bowls were "the best ever" and the Eggs Benedict were... to die for! Highly recommend stopping in! Come hungry! #EatLocal
Tried this place while on vacay. Came here for brunch first, and loved it. So, came back for dinner. Both visits were pleasant! Loved everything we ordered! Service and the atmosphere were excellent! Food n drinks were very tasty! 😋
Goofy's is the best breakfast spot in town. They fill up quick so be sure to arrive early. The wait isn't bad if you have to though. The portions are perfect and the food is very tasty and filling. Pricing is fair and the service was fast. We enjoyed the food so much we came back a few times. The fruit is some of the freshest we've had on our entire trip and the Acai bowls are amazing
This was a sweet surprise. I really loved this cafe. The service, the staff and the food was amazing. I will be back.
Great food and good service. We got the eggs benedict which was really delicious. Nice breakfast place.
What a cute little spot! I visited this with a co-worker and we brought a child and it was kid-friendly. We were able to sit in one of the booths in the back and the service was phenomenal. They checked in on us frequently and did everything they could to make our stay for breakfast amazing. The food was mouth-watering. I got French toast and I'm usually a savory person but I devoured the French toast. I love the fresh pineapple and papaya that was on it. My friends husband got the locomoco and he finished his food before we had even made a dent on ours. It was so delicious
Wonderful fresh breakfast. Freshest fruit. Big portions for eggs. Long wait over 30 minutes on a Saturday morning.
Really enjoyed their açaí bowl—perfect portion size! The kids loved their French toast too. The line moved quickly, and I appreciated how they gave the bill right away to keep things flowing for those waiting outside. Friendly and efficient service all around!
A bit of a long wait. Used the hostess would follow the guidelines they put forth for the customers waiting. A group of 7 had 2 present when their turn were called. They were allowed to keep their space in the line waiting for the other 5 to show up. Pretty unfair to others who followed the rules. Service and food were great though
Takes us back to Hawaii. Worth the wait, best acai and french toast ever. We actually made it back! The food and service was great like before
One of the best cafés we visited in Hawaii! The curry isn’t your ordinary curry—it’s something special. Every dish feels familiar but still manages to surprise you with a big wow. Cozy vibes, amazing flavors—definitely a standout spot!
25 minute wait for 4 ppl. Had the Loco Moco. Delicious and definitely worth the wait. Great food and good service.
This place deserves more than just 5 stars, I would give it 10 stars without a doubt. that's how good this experience was. This was our first time trying this place and we will be back everyday until our trip is over. RECOMMEND: Loco Moco, waffles, and any juice. That is what we ordered and it was amazing. CUSTOMER SERVICE: 10/10 ! The service was amazing and everyone was friendly and took care of our requests. ATMOSPHERE: nice music which makes eating even more enjoyable. Did I mention the location is perfect near the beach so after you eat you can enjoy a wall on the beach to digest (:
We got the POG juice, the Hawaiian omlette and multiple açaí bowls including the Rob Machado açaí bowl and all of them were great! The açaí bowls are quite big and good for 2 in most cases. Make sure that you reach by 7am if you want to get breakfast without having to wait - by 7:15 all the breakfast tables were full and there was a queue.
One of the best places to eat, in my books, ever! Their food is simple yet complex at the same time, and oh so divine. Guaranteed to bring you Euphoria after just 1 bite. Actually I can't really guarantee that, cause I got _______ as ________. Just trust me that they're really, really, really good. If you don't believe me, come try them for yourself/ yourselves! 😃 Nom nom nom! 🤪🤪🤪
Went for breakfast, eager to go back for dinner. Service was efficient, but staff was kind. The food is delicious - a great local spin on classics - and it felt like nourishment versus junk. Absolutely would recommend.
Great food and very comfortable environment. Walked in with a party of 6 with no reservation and only had to wait 30 minutes to be sat.
Beautiful little breakfast place that also serves lunch after 11am. Small menu with a nice variety. Wife and I both had versions of the eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food took less than 15 minutes to arrive after it was ordered even with every table filled. Not the greatest place for larger groups as the building is not very large.
Why'd they name it Goofy? I don't know, it's an ordinary cafe'. The food was good with ample portions. The taste was good, not great, not spectacular but a solid good. It just likeom used to make if she was a mediocre cook. This place is the same, they have their great dishes and the majority are good. It will fill you up and not make I feel cheated. The lemonade is great! I would back just for a tall cool sip of that sweet and sour nectar. It's an upstairs establishment, do if you can't climb steps, bring someone to carry you. I'd do it for a lemonade. (Disclaimer: if you are height and weight proportionate). So the view of the street is nice. You can sit and watch the people walking by. It is a small place so be prepared to wait. That's about it, it's another local grinds cafe'
We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and decided to try Goofy’s for breakfast. I ordered the sweet bread French toast with berries—delicious, and definitely something I’d recommend. My husband went with the loco moco; he enjoyed it but felt it was pretty average compared to others he tried during our trip. When you arrive, you’ll need to add your name to the waitlist. We waited about 40 minutes before being seated. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so wait times can be long, though it seemed that parties of two were seated much quicker than larger groups.
We really enjoyed our breakfast at Goofy Cafe & Dine. We ordered the Hawaiian skillet omelette with the taro English muffin, and you could really taste how fresh the ingredients were. The server forgot our coffee refill and hot sauce, however another server was able to help us out. The food was great, but definitely get there early—it’s a small spot and very popular, so it fills up fast. When they offer to put your coffee in "to go" cups you know it's time to split.
waited for ~45 minutes on a sunday morning, but was worth checking out! the loco moco was good, as were the cocktails. a bit on the pricier side, with drinks reaching $15-20 and entrees in the $20s range.
The food was divine! Very large variety of sweet and savory brunch staples and they knocked every single one out of the park. My family got pork eggs benedict and the Hawaiian omelette and I got the Acai bowl. Everything was top notch. They also refill coffee. I like how it’s on the second floor and you can see the hustle and bustle of Waikiki.
We got there at 7:45 a.m for breakfast and were seated right away. Within 15 minutes, there was a line down the stairs, with customers waiting for a table. The staff were great but unorganized, as we had 2 staffers taking our order unknowingly. A+ for trying. The food was healthy and delicious, with excellent organic and quality ingredients. The omelette is not your typical omelette, and that was uniquely tasty to try there. Overall, it is a well-established local joint to enjoy a tasty breakfast and lunch.
The acai bowl and omelet were delicious. They felt freshly made to order. There is usually a wait since the spot is popular with tourists. Service was decent.
They provide a great meal. I enjoy both their flavored pancakes and scrumptious breakfast bowl. I enjoy their coconut syrup. 🥥
It's worth the wait. we ordered Big Island Bread French Toast & Big island loco moco whole lot of food. Food is great, service was good. Small cozy eatery. Walking is your best option to get here it's near Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Food was tasty, but service was questionable. 🧐 The server frowned when asked for an extra spoon and had to check the table first. The napkin cup was removed before we left—what if we needed it again?
We waited about an hour to eat. I had to take my 5-year-old son to the bathroom. Meanwhile, the hostess called our party of 3. Since it was just my wife waiting in line, she wouldn't seat her until my son and I returned, which took us 10 minutes. This put us at the end of the line. There are rules, and then there's common sense, which the hostess clearly lacks. We live here so definitely not coming back.
