My tradition I go to Red Lobster and I enjoy sitting there. When my son was in Oahu he took me so I've been coming here for quite some time. But on December 8th, around 1:30 p.m. Mary, the waitress was rude. I had to keep telling her I need it extra melted butter, tabasco sauce, spoon for my tea and one pack of sugar Mary said we don't have sugar substitute sugar, few more napkins by the time I was waiting my potato got cold. This is the first time I was so disappointed. But you need to tell Mary to make sure she brings everything to the table at one time. I've been going 18 years. Always in the afternoon. There was about 6 people there. It's about 18 miles from my home. Love the ride. See you next year for sure God Willing. And in between. Vasquez
Red Lobster is back! I went there after a long break because I used to be disappointed with many things. However, my latest visit changed my stance completely. And the Server Josiah was amazing. I had a lobster tail with sirloin steak. And gosh, I was surprised to see the how good it was prepared and served. I also had the chocolate wave dessert. This is to die for. It has been almost 7 years since I had a chocolate cake this good.
“Great experience from start to finish. The staff was kind, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious, and everything exceeded expectations. Thank you josiah for the great service!”
I wanted to share a great experience I had yesterday at your store. This is our second time eating here, and whenever we visit Hawaii, we make sure to stop by. We had a delicious meal and ordered clam chowder, crab, dragon calamari, and lobster tail with shrimp scampi. All of the dishes were nice and tasty. Our server, Aaron, was fantastic—nice and polite. Great job, everyone!
Before we entered the restaurant there was a notice that they were short staffed and service would be not that timely. Fortunately we were looking forward to having red lobster so we stayed. To our surprise our server Omar promptly took our drink order and our food order. We just enjoyed ourselves and were already expecting a long wait for our food. To our surprise our food arrived sooner than expected and it looked delicious and tasted delicious. Kudos to the staff for working understaffed and still providing great food and service!!!!!
Parking isn’t bad. It costs $5 with restaurant validation. Service was quick and great if you willing to make the drive it’s worth it.
My son really wanted to come here for his birthday to try the seafood boil. And it did not disappoint! The food was great, but what really WOW’d me was the service! It’s not often that you get FANTASTIC service anymore, but Josiah was incredible! SO kind, attentive, & polite, and what really was the icing on the cake was that he brought my son a bday ice cream & rallied the ENTIRE restaurant & staff to sing Happy Birthday to him! So sweet! Thank you Josiah for being such a great part of our memorable bday celebration!
I tried a lot of good places but I found this place to be the best in Oahu. Not only was all of the food super yummy but the service in particular was my favorite. I stayed longer than I should have and I probably had a drink too many but I can honestly say this was one of the highlights of my trip to Oahu / Hawaii. You definitely have to make time and swing by the bar or done at Red lobster bar and visit Misael aka Misa. I ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Crabfest just started and we were the first to order the Mariner’s Boil. This is the best meal I’ve ever had at Red Lobster. I had the boil in Garlic Butter. My friend had the Cajun Butter. Both were fantastic!
everytime I'm in town we go to red lobster and everytime we have a great time. thank you.
Had a lovely family dinner here and ordered the Endless Shrimp. So many tasty options to choose from, and you can try them all! Friendly service!
This was a great spot for lunch! Parking can be challenging, but the excellent customer service and delicious food made it well worth it.I sat in the bar area on February 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM and was cared for by Rachel and Amandine—both of whom provided exceptional service. I couldn’t have asked for better hospitality or food. I ordered the margarita flight, which was outstanding, along with the fish and chips. Everything was on point, precisely what I’ve come to expect from Red Lobster. Let’s not forget the Cheddar Bay Biscuits… OMG!V/R, Dr. Ken King
Sometimes the waitstaff can really elevate an experience. Mary at the Honolulu Red Lobster did just that. The service was great but the interaction was outstanding. What a great experience and memory! Oh, and the food was good too! 😁
Might seem odd going to a Red Lobster a block off Waikiki beach, but this was worth it. There are a lot of great seafood restaurants in Honolulu, but the prices are very high. We ordered a couple of the most expensive items and entrees were about $50 each. And that includes the sides (NOT A-la-carte). Food was delicious and service was outstanding.
Tonight was the BEST roasted garlic butter shrimp I have EVER eaten in my life, (70 years old). The loaded side potato was perfect as well. My wife's meal she said was Great too as the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Our waiter said we had the 'A' chef team tonight and I believe it as EVERY SINGLE BITE was to die for😋 We have dined at numerous Red Lobsters all over our country and this was by far the best ever hands down. I don't quite understand all the negative reviews I read about this Honalulu restaurant today as our service was Excellent and of course the food I cannot say enough good about 👍👍👍 Great job folks, Thanks, retired travelers Jim & Karen.
We went here on our last night in Honolulu. We had the best time and the food and service were impeccable. We had the seafood boil with signature butter and medium spice level and the sirloin steak. The spicy guava margarita was amazing too! Josiah, our waiter was so warm and friendly, and definitely made the experience 5 star. Thank you Josiah for your great service! Love from the Kiwis.
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. My husband and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary by coming here. It was a fantastic experience. Josiah was a fantastic server! He was super helpful and cheerful, and he was more than happy to answer any questions on the menu. Very attentive to our needs.
Everytime we come to Oahu we always stop by red lobster. Customer service is always good, food never disappoints. This time we stopped by to celebrate my daughter’s bday and our server Josiah made her night. We had the greatest service and one that my daughter will forever remember. Mahalo Josiah and the crew for the service aloha
It’s no surprise that I love coming here. I come here for my birthday quite often when I am not traveling for my birthday! This experience yesterday was definitely one for the books! Per usual, my food was amazing, seafood-stuffed mushrooms YUM, Lobster Bisque YUM, and Maine Lobster YESSSS! What really made this experience, our server, DEZ!!!! She took care of my neediness, kept an upbeat and positive attitude the entire time! She was patient and constantly cleaning/pre-bussing as she came. Yet, it never seemed rushed. I also wanna shoutout this amazing manager, Connie who seemed to be all over helping this team! I definitely am reminded of what great service should look like, seamless, positive, and genuine! I will be back for sure!
Ordered the deluxe plater. All sea food with a baked potato and broccoli. Never had enough room for desert. Went early 4:30pm not too busy. No waiting. By 5:30- 6pm was filling up fast. Service was right on. Reasonably priced for what you have. I've been here before and will repeat and recomend.
So normally I don't make reviews, but the service was so great I had to! 🤗🙌🏻 Our awesome server Mory was so understanding and remembered everything perfectly! 🤩 My family and I were there for my daughter's birthday and he handled her allergies perfectly, which is always a concern but not here! 🎉 She even got a card which was unexpected but so sweet. ❤️ The music was nice too a little loud but can hear each other well just fine. And the food was really yummy! Definitely would recommend Mory and the seafood boils! 😋🤩
Server Josiah was wonderful! Very attentive, friendly and kind! Food was amazing, as always. Only comment is the Crab Legs in the Ultimate Feast were noticeably smaller than usual. Thanks again Josiah!!
I’m a resident of Oahu and had never been to Red Lobster because I normally buy local… but I found out that they support local regularly, and have started looking more local for some of their ingredients, so I went to show support of that change. It was actually surprisingly good (considering it’s a chain)! The food was fixed and presented above what I would call “well”, and the service was impressively attentive! They weren’t slow when I went in, but I didn’t feel like they were struggling to keep up at all! I’d have forgiven them for being distracted or divided being so busy, but not only did I not see that happening, the manager also came out to apologize for any delays and make sure we were enjoying the experience! I think she said her name was Kanani, but she was a white woman who didn’t sound local so I may be wrong. Anyway… if this is how they do when they think they aren’t doing well, I’m definitely going back at a time when Google says they are less busy than usual!
Elizabeth was our wonderful server and did an awesome job. Jason was on the grill and cooked my streak perfectly-no pink at all, just the way I wanted it. Our experience here was well worth it.
A first for me eating at what I’m told is an ‘American institution’ family seafood restaurant. Large portions compared to what we’re used to in NZ meant my wife and I shared, or we’d be flying home as cargo 😉 Tyler our server was really helpful in explaining the menu and portion sizes not to mention some great local knowledge.
For lunch, Mom and I decided to change our minds and support the Nigerian-American business executive and the current and youngest CEO of Red Lobster versus another chain. Mom, who doesn’t eat meat, was particularly curious about the New Sailor’s Seafood Family Boil. Demitri took our order, and Mom wasn’t disappointed! Walt, the jovial and friendly general manager from Brooklyn, approached the table with a hot shake-and-serve bag. Inside, it contained a generous portion of plump, juicy shrimp, smoked sausage, two short ears of sweet corn, and tender red potatoes in a delectable buttery roasted garlic sauce. MOM wasn’t disappointed. For me, I like crispy and fried. The Admiral’s Fest never fails to impress, as it always does. The crispy, golden-brown shrimp, breaded and fried to perfection, are a must-try. The bay scallops are lightly battered and fried to a crisp, while the claim strips are crispy and fried. The crispy and fried fish fillet is a delightful addition, especially the wild-caught flounder. I was more than satisfied. We made excellent meal selections and didn’t regret supporting the business.
Our dinner at this Ala Moana Blvd location on 15Jul'24 was very good. We're seated promptly at 6:30 pm. Drinks: passion fruit margarita (11), Adam's (6.79) good. Mains: Soy salmon (23.49), shrimp scampi + grilled shrimp (21) were cooked-perfectly good portions. Our server Elizabeth was attentive, nice and welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We decided to try their all you can eat shrimp option and was not disappointed. The shrimp scampi, coconut shrimps, and garlic butter shrimps were all very tasty. We also like their warm and soft cheese biscuits. Although the restaurant was very busy, our server was very friendly and attentive. Overall we had a wonderful meal and experience. We will definitely come back on our next trip.
Honestly, this place is good value for money as long as you know what to expect. We had two shrimp meals, one was a new one on the menu with a sweet Thai chilli flavour which was recommended but the waiter and it was delicious! Also the brownie sundae for dessert was really good too. All meals em were great portion sizes and the waiter (sorry can’t remember your name) was a local dude who was just great. A solid 4/5 - 4.5/5
The Lobster Flatbread and Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms were excellent! I had the Shrimp Linguini and Scampi. The flavor was good, but the Linguini was a little dry. My spouse had the wild-caught crunch-fried flounder. It was good, but a little too dry.
I did not enjoy this restaurant much. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with mashed potato and coleslaw. The food taste could be better, the service was slow, we had to ask several times to get our order, the place is really cold too (I recommend to bring a jacket). My parents ordered the fish and ships, they were very disappointed about the size and the preparation of it.
We arrived as a party of 4. They were only moderately busy with several empty tables. We were told it would be 10 minutes before we’d be seated. We went to the bar to wait. The bartender was great and provided prompt and professional service. The bar area floor and one of the tables were slick with something that required me to go wash my hands. After 40 minutes of waiting we went to check on our table and three employees walked around, looking this way and that way, trying to communicate between each other but seeming to go in circles without resolution. We were finally seated and got our drinks in a reasonable amount of time. However, it took about 20 minutes to even get our food order placed. Our server, Kassie, was very pleasant despite what appeared to be a short staffed shift. We waited 30 minutes for our food and then Kassie approached to inform us that the appetizer lobster pizza I’d ordered as my entree was unavailable. Apparently the kitchen had just informed her, instead of doing so when the order was placed 30 minutes prior. So I chose another meal. Kassie returned again to inform me that wasn’t available either. I finally ordered the shrimp cocktail so that it could come quickly. They did comp my meal, which we appreciated. Kassie was very apologetic and doing all she could to make it right. We don’t blame her for the wait or lack of food items required for the meals I had ordered. There was a young lady going around and offering to take photos. They offer one free one but more can be purchased if desired. She was very pleasant and accommodating. She did lean way back over the couples table beside us as she took our photo. I felt bad for the couple. She was just trying to get a good shot with not much room to work with due to the way the tables were set up. The food was pretty good. I didn’t hear any complaints. It was just a very long meal that was on the tail end of a long day of travel. I would be very hesitant to give this location another shot.
My first time in Red Lobster and I must say, the food I ordered was good (pasta with seafood) but I think it really depends what you order as some people in my group didn't like it, some of the fried seafood did turn out too oily. The service was not good as we waited over an hour for our order and we saw 4 groups that was seated after us and had their food and 2 of them left already when we were just getting our food. Our server was nice but no communication at all about our order on why it took so long which is not ideal with kids that are getting impatient. The server also asked if we prefer to have the kids food much earlier but it came with everyone else's.
While visiting Waikiki and staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Resort, I wanted some seafood and decided to try out the Red Lobster that was in walking distance. Now being a “foodie” typically I avoid national chain restaurants while traveling. I want to try out restaurants that the locals love and that give me a taste of the local culture. And, with all of the negative attention on Red Lobster’s bankruptcy, mass closures and rebranding of itself, this was going to be a risky choice. However, I was hoping for fresh caught seafood here in Honolulu. I had a choose three-(3) Shrimp Plater with one side, that was $24.99. To that I added an extra shrimp selection for an additional $5.00 (very reasonable priced!) and a 2nd side for $4.59. The garlic shrimp and the coconut shrimp was delicious, as it always is at Red Lobster. The fried shrimp was also good. And here comes the but….the broiled shrimp on a skewer over a bed of rice was overcooked and had a charred taste. Other than that, the biscuits were served fresh and hot and I always enjoy their hush puppies—though now they are a side of six-(6) and no longer included with most platters. My server was fabulous, always making certain that I had plenty of water refills, my order was to my liking, but never hovering or overbearing. He had a nice smile and seemed genuinely happy to be serving me and not hating his life as a server. All-in-all, the: prices were reasonable considering we are in a resort city. I only would have to pay maybe 20% less back in Dallas; the service was excellent; food was of good quality; and the location was convenient. As for atmosphere, the restaurant is very dated and tired and could use updating, but that is probably low on the current restructuring totem pole.
We made a booking, when we got there we were asked to sit at the Bar, the restaurant was empty, we were sent to a table in the corner, very slow service, our server gave us our check with a table full of dirty plates. Asked a front of house staff on a recommendation and never heard back from her, she was going to the kitchen to ask, lots of other unhappy customers and Restaurant was empty, Jumbalaya was good, Steak was burnt and Chips dried and crucified. A new set of Management needs to be sent in to fix the operation
They didn't have the lunch options that the menu said. They had no draft beer because they've had no CO2 for awhile the waitress said. The biscuits were great but it was $70 for lunch and we shared fish and chips and each had a drink. Not as good as it used to be.
Seafood boil was too salty. Their spicy is actually spicy, but there was way too much pepper. Service was not optimal. Had to flag the server down for everything & we didn’t get waters. When a customer orders soda or cocktails, they should get it in addition to water by default. Their cocktails were solid though. The restaurant could use an interior design renovation.
Order two baked potatoes, one with crab and the other with lobster and it took over an hour to get our togo order. 45 minutes past the time they said it would take. The lobster was two small pieces the size of my pinky. The only pleasure was the nice waitress who felt bad.
The food was good typical red lobster! Not so much for the biscuits not good anymore very dry today! Not sure if it’s only this location or only today or that’s what it is! Please let me know if that’s not the case somewhere else would love to know! The reason for the low star spirit is for the server was very low energy on our table compare to other tables you could hear the shouts and Aloha spirit! We ordered normally what you see on the pics I shared: salmon dish, flatbread… and our server got us the basket of biscuits with 3 biscuits in it?! It was a shocker for me, I’m not sure about you guys but I never got a basket of 3 biscuits🙄 my partner said will ask her for more later and he did and she said they’re in the oven I’ll get you some later… surely she got another basket guess how many??? 2 more👏🏻😤👎🏻 I’m not sure honestly if it was the red lobster rule or the server or they’re being cheap or a combination of all!!! I lost appetite for the biscuits and didn’t eat it just felt so wrong!!! Please let me know if you ever experienced this kind before would love to hear your story! Sorry about the long message I tried to be brief 😅 Thank you!
Wasn’t the vibes. Didn’t even give us any biscuits? Not to mention the coleslaw was the consistency of a soup… our server in the bar area and what seemed like the manager just gossiped the whole time so won’t be attending again!
Omar, I’d like to offer some honest feedback. Treating every guest the same should be the baseline. Having to repeatedly ask for drink refills is unacceptable, and being out of multiple menu items at 3:00 PM is also not acceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. Also out of hand wipes @ a seafood restaurant come on that’s like a tire place that’s out of air. The food itself was okay. We travel the U.S. for work roughly 270 days a year, so we have a lot of dining experience to compare against. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that as a white, bald customer, I seem to be treated differently than others on this island, and that experience has noticeably worsened over the last couple of years. We come here every winter and have dined at this restaurant before with a much better experience, which makes this visit even more disappointing.
The server Dez was nice at first but after we ordered and discovered that she did not inform us that the side salad we ordered was an upcharge to the regular sides she got an attitude. She asked her manager to take off the salad and when she returned had a really bad attitude. Very unprofessional and therefore we did not tip. We would have been happy to tip at least 20% had she handled this situation professionally. It wad only 3 dollars but we didn’t really need the salad but an additional side was included with the meal.
We were forced to wait 15 minutes for a table despite the restaurant being nearly empty—only four tables were occupied, maybe 20% capacity at most. After we ordered, two of those tables left, leaving just our party of five and one other group. Somehow, even with almost no customers, it still took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. One entrée showed up a full 10 minutes after the rest, so everyone else had already finished eating by the time it arrived. Our waitress was practically nonexistent. If anyone is confused about why Red Lobster is going under, this experience explains it perfectly.
I am HIGHLY disappointed with the lack of fair and impartial customer service I received today. 1. The server completely neglected to give us the kids meal we ordered; and never even returned to give us an update. My child did not get a chance to eat. SMFH 2. The server completed neglected to give or offer any refills, remove used dishes from the table, and periodically check on us to see if we needed anything. 3. Initially they brought us 2 of the same meals which we only placed an order for one and was looking at me like I was crazy.. 4. When the server FINALLY came to the table, at the end, I politely asked for a bag to take my extra biscuits to go. She NEVER returned to bring that bag, although she acknowledged my request. Mind you, I waited at least 5 minutes before I personally got up and asked another server for a bag. 5. I spoke to the manager on my way out and informed her of the poor service and discriminatory behavior as EACH TABLE AROUND US were caucasian and definitely were treated completely differently. 6. I will NOT be returning to this red lobster and it is sad bc I actually love the food. Despite the publics opinion on their food. I advise anyone considering visiting this red lobster to think twice and know that if an african american single mom with 3 kids accompanying her was treated this way, there is no guarantee you won’t experience the same. I hope this honest review spares the next person and ALSO the entire red lobster staff is retrained so this does not happen again. Thank you.
We waited half hour to get seated. Waited almost 15 minutes to get our orders in. We were supposed to be served biscuits with our drinks, but they never brought them right away (maybe 45 minutes later). I asked for them twice! We were about to just up and leave. Then our food finally came after over an hour. The lobster and steak were fantastic! Parking is expensive! We were there almost 2 hours.
I spent $115 on a seafood boil and a 7 oz sirloin steak . The seafood boil was so tiny the lobster and shrimp look like it was ment for toddlers! The sauces tasted old like it was cooking all day garlic was mush. Just not worth it
The reason I gave a 1 star overall was because we booked this for a birthday and we arrived from an I ther country to celebrate and when we got to the Red lobster they advised us that they had no sirloin steak for the surf and turf and wanted to charge us an extra $10 for a smaller eye fillet steak. So why charge us an extra $10 on something that was not out fault they could not order properly. Then I asked for another corona beer and guess what..... they were out of corona as well. What a joke.!
Horrible location. I generally love Red Lobster. This location could use some serious work. I applied for a job once, went in and was asked to sit and wait. I waited an hour before the manager came out and said they don't hire off the platform I applied on and weren't hiring. That was fine, I found another job. I do doordash on the side, went for a pick up, waited 15 minutes before the manager came out and said they didn't see the guys order and would have it to me in 10 minutes. I went to deliver my 2nd order and came back. I have now been here 47 more minutes. The host refuses to come to the front or give updates about the food. I am trying to keep the customer updated but he also stated he would no longer order from this location. This is the WORST service I've ever seen.
DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT FOR 2-3 HOURS FOR YOUR MEAL😂 Me and my husband always like to try new things but by far this is the worse place we've dined in at‼‼‼ I don't know why this place is still open or in business with their poor management and unprofessionalism ‼‼‼ We arrived at 6:30 PM and waited 30 minutes to be seated even though the section we were placed in was empty. After being seated, it took another 15 minutes just to receive drinks and place our order. Our appetizer popcorn shrimp took 30 minutes to arrive. As time passed, other guests were seated around us and began receiving their meals before we did. While we were still waiting for ours. After an hour and a half without any of entree's. People started staring at us wondering why we still didn't get our food and the person next to us even said " Thats unfair you guys were here way before us" When our server arrived we politely asked to speak with a manager. She approached our table, showed no interest in hearing our concerns, stated she would compensate the meal, and walked away without attempting to resolve the situation‼‼‼‼ Shortly afterward, the table seated behind us was served before us. When we followed up again, the only item brought out was three pieces of COLD CRAB. By this point, it had been nearly two and a half hours since our arrival and we still had not received the meals we ordered so we just decided to walk away and tip our server out of his own kindness . Our server was the only person who made any effort to assist us. The rest of the staff appeared unconcerned and continued socializing while service in our section was clearly being neglected. Accepting tables without the capacity to serve them in a timely or professional manner is unacceptable. As regular customers, this experience was a complete failure in basic service and professionalism.‼‼‼ PSA MANAGERS NAME IS CASSIE‼️‼️
We had a really bad experience here. The list of problems were so long. We ordered 2 sides of broccoli. One was mush and the other was basically raw on the same plate. The shrimp were super salty, kids drink was forgotten and should have come with the kids meal and we're billed for it at the end. Just a horrible evening. Sorry we even came out.
