Opinions de Bluebird Cafe Hopland
A classic Cafe right on Main St.Hopland, that will take your breath away as you enter through their door. It feels as if you've walked into a movie set. It just feels so authentic . We sat at the bar on those wonderful stools, and really enjoyed our conversation with our server behind it. We learned so much about the town and reminiscing about the 70's was fun. The portions are huge, the price point spot on, the flavors pop from the freshness, and my chocolate shake was prepared right in front of me. I felt 16 again. What a treat! Worth the drive, and if you're passing through Hopland, save yourself some room for a killer meal here! Highly recommend!
Hopland is a small, rural community. A cafe like the Bluebird is important here. Easy going. Feels comfortable. Welcoming. And, good food. You can still see the cooks. We came for breakfast. The dining room is small (max seating is 47). The menu met every need and want. Portions were large and quality was excellent. We were even served complimentary scones and cinnamon rolls. We felt right at home.
It is and has always been one of my favorite diners in the area. Come and visit! I hope they will bring back the ostrich meat on the menu. Say hi to the moose when here!
Great place for breakfast right on 101. Had the ham and cheese omelette. Had the fresh pastry included on the weekend.
Delicious and satisfying classic American diner breakfasts and lunches with a broad range of breads and ‘hamburger’ patties made to order. Fun decor! Excellent service.
Awesome little diner right on the 101, the parking was easy on the street, the food was really good! Really nice people working there and the ambiance is great, I love stopping in places like this, a throwback to older style cafes without the pretentious hipster vibe. Apple walnut chicken salad was delicious!
I hadn’t been here in almost 20 years. I remember coming here as a young kid with my dad. It was good then and good now. The French toast was perfect. We were decently the travelers in there but still a warm welcome.
Nicely decorated with artifacts from an earlier time. Very quaint and beautiful. It even has its very own moose. Prompt and friendly service. Wife had feta, spinach, and sausage omelet. Came with home fries. She asked that they be done extra and they came out wonderous brown and tasted like pototato chips that had gone to heaven. Needless to say, she was quite happy. I had the blueberry cheese blintzes. Tart cheese, and sweet and juicy blueberry compote. I had the same done to the potatoes that came with my dish and was quite pleased with everything. We will be back.
What a find! Thanks to the other reviewers, it made for the perfect breakfast stop to break up a long drive. You’re not going to walk away hungry, that’s for sure. Everything was delicious. I’d get the scramble again just for the side of potatoes… super flavorful! Great service, too. Will be back again the next time we’re passing through.
What a delightful bit of classic Americana diner. Their french fries are fantastic and amazing. They must batter it because they are crispy. Mortimer the moose is an outstanding host.
We stopped by Blue Bird Cafe and were absolutely blown away. We ordered the corned beef hash and the chicken fried steak, both were delicious. The food was hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was equally impressive, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. If you're in Hopland and craving a great meal with excellent service, this spot is a must-visit. Next time I'm driving through the 101, I’ll definitely stop by for lunch because their bison burger is calling my name.
Simple breakfast and lunch menu with quality products. Will return in hopes to try their weekend pastries I've read about. Parking can be tight but available along side the busy 101.
We came from France and England to visit our cousins in Ukiah. Today we experienced our first American diner breakfast....and it was fantastic. Really great service, quality food and a friendly atmosphere....we're coming back!

Delicious burgers and fries and great milkshakes to boot! Highly recommended for a pitstop along the 101.

There is a reason something is around for generations. The Bluebird has it all, its a diffrent kind of place. Full of vintage signs and items related to local history. The food? Phenomenal, never gets old. The coffee is also really good. Sharon is an awesome hostess and is attentive and playful making the place feel homey.
Very good place to eat with family. The serve was very nice and always making sure if we needed something. Definitely will return back to this place!!
A small, cheerful cafe with great food and a nice staff. We had a garden skillet and blueberry pancakes, both very good. We will be back!

I have been here multiple times in the 3 decades. The food has always been great. I decided to go there today. My last visit was 7 years ago. I got chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns and a side of corned beef hash. All the food was great, except the chicken fried steak which was way over cooked and not very tasty. Everything else was superb. The service was fantastic and she was very attentive to what I needed. I will come back, but just not order this again.
The Bluebird Cafe is located along Hwy 101 in Hopland, California on the right side of the road as you are traveling South. You will need to U-Turn if you are traveling North to park along the street in front of the restaurant or park on the opposite and walk across the busy Hwy. Excellent burger and fries made to order. Soft drinks were good. Lemonade not so good. I suspect I am the only who has ordered it in a while. The waitress was nice and attentive. The building is old, so finding the restroom can be tricky. The restaurant has a hometown vibe. If I were to pass through town again I would back into the Bluebird Cafe.
The Bluebird Cafe is a nice spot to stop in and have breakfast. They offer interior and exterior seating, though we always prefer to sit inside. It has that awesome feel of an older diner, complete with bar stool seating and vintage posters and antiques displayed on the walls. It can get quite busy at times, so it’s best to get there early. The food is very tasty, and the portion sizes are generous. They even have complimentary cinnamon rolls for the tables on a certain day (I believe Sunday). The prices fall in the $15-$25 range. Parking can be challenging as there is no official parking lot for the cafe. You’ll have to park on the main road through town, or one of the smaller side streets and walk.
