My Favorite spot in the city for Bagels! Fair prices and delicious. The Bagel sandwiches are great. I order a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and it is actually made fresh with real, thick cut bacon. I stop here every time I am in the area!

Has the same energy and most similar flavor to a NYC bagel shop that I've had in Houston so far! Line on a Saturday morning was out the door but the line moved pretty quickly. Seating is a bit competitive and cramped, but turnover is pretty fast and I feel like it adds to the energy. In addition to the bagels, they've got some good looking pastries including enormous black and white cookies and fluffy cheesecake. Looked like they also had freshly squeezed lemonades and fruit juices which looked good. Bon Orzo, the owner, was in the middle of the action behind the counte coordinating everything and handing out a few orders at the tables while we were there. Seeing a framed newspaper listing of his bagel shop in NYC made me feel like this was going to the a legit spot, andi wasn't disappointed. Full disclosure, I'm a bit of a bagel snob and have around 3-4 bagels each time I'm in NYC (around 2X per year). We got a lox sandwhich with sesame bagel and scallion cream cheese, and a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese. Sesame bagel itself was the highlight and had a good textured chew/bite to it with some fluffiness in the center, similar to a NYC bagel, though slightly drier and less "stretchy" (ifykyk). Cream cheese had good flavor and felt fresh, but felt more buttery than creamy and fluffy which is what I prefer, and it felt like it diluted the flavor a little bit (like 1/2 intensity of flavor?). Salmon was great, and especially at a price point of $12 with a good portion (compared to $20+ in NYC), I can complain here though I would say it doesn't have as much depth and flavor. Even so, It's definitely the closest I've had to a NYC bagel (Russ and daughters, Essa bagel) in Houston so far so I will be coming back for more.

When I found about Bagel Bob’s I. Couldn’t wait to go.. You see I’m from Long Island, NY and nobody does BAGELS like NY. My 1st visit was yesterday 10/24/25 I ordered a variety of bagels, a couple bacon/egg:cheese on everything bagels, sesame, plain and several butter bagels. It was soooo DELICIOUS, YUMMY… Taste like home. Everyone I purchased a sandwich for my New Yorker family who live here now. When I brought it to them totally delicious so of course I had to come back on 10/25 today ordered more and included a A pastrami sandwich again taste like Home. I give this place a 10🎊🎊🎊🎊 This is truly New York Bagels @BagelBob’s brought to Houston. No place like home (NEE YORK ) being brought to Houston, TX…..

Amazing bagel spot. Came here this morning with a friend and everything was fantastic. We ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel and a sausage egg and cheese bagel. Food was delicious and was blown away by the quality and flavor of the bagel. We also ordered 2 coffees and both were great. For all that we spent around $20. 10/10 def recommend.

Got the lox on everything and a bacon egg and cheese on everything - sooooooo good! My boyfriend (who’s from NY) said it’s the best he’s had so far here in Houston. We have been searching high and low for a bagel place. So happy to have found Bagel Bob!! The server was really sweet and shared my excitement about trying them out for the first time. Forgot to ask for dill cream cheese on my lox, but that’s on me! I’ll be back soon anyways :p

Gotta say, the food’s good. The Lox and Cream Cheese all the way is your choice of bagel with salmon, cream cheese, capers, tomatoes, and sliced red onions. The cream cheese spread balances well with the salty and acidic capers. But I would have to say that the best part of the sandwich is the bagel itself. It makes for a very good, solid vessel for the fillings. It has a nice chew to it, but is also tender enough to easily bite through. The NY cheesecake is fluffy and perfectly moist with a simple vanilla and cream cheese flavor. It has a very balanced level of sweetness that I prefer.

I lived in New York for a couple of years and after moving to Houston and trying several bagel places, none could compare to the quality you get in NYC until I found Bagel Bob. Bagels are perfect size, perfect ratio to cream cheese. It brought me back to the city for a moment. The staff is super friendly and respectful from the young man at the front register to the respectful gentleman who keeps the place clean. I highly recommend this place! I’m glad to say I found my bagel place in Houston! I found a tiny piece of NYC in Houston :> Thank you

True homemade style Bagels from New York! Bob’s bagels are delicious. His sandwiches are generous with the filling and taste incredible! The line moved quickly and you could tell each bagel was handmade as it lacked the industrial look that other places having (like they came from a copy machine). I strongly recommend everyone give this place a try as Bob moves quickly to address complaints and improve his processes based on local feedback.

New location is beautiful!! So happy that they moved closer to the city. Food is hot and bagels are fresh, soft, and airy. Sandwiches will put you to bed so be careful!! Ignore the reviews complaining, it makes me happy to see a local business that I enjoy successful enough to upgrade locations and interior design!

Was visiting with a friend and was going to pick up some breakfast bagels to share and I was near the area when I decided to stop by. Bagels are good. We got to of the bacon egg and cheese bagels and I added sausage on mine. Line was long (out the door) but moved sort of quickly. Once you order it does not take much longer to get your food. Sitting is limited and its BUSY so I would not recommend meeting here to catch up during their morning / afternoon rush as you will find it hard to find a place to sit. Parking is ample if youre picking up but be sure to make time to wait in line. Overall happy with the food and would try again if nearby. Probably not worth a 30 minute drive as they are not out of this world and you can find comparable bagels at different spots around town. I did get two lattes but would not order them again. They lacked flavor and tasted too watery. Also, they do not fill up the cups which is a disappointment because I ordered two small ones and after three sips they were gone. Overall as a bagel place its a solid option, not so much as a coffee spot. They do have a variety of pastries as well but I skipped out on those however If I do go back I will be sure to try some as they did look appetizing.

Really wanted to love this place and yes the bagels were good but the service was not it! I literally never leave reviews because I never care enough but we ordered two bagels & orange juice at 10:15 and watched as an entire line behind us got their orders before we did. They were making bagels in order of convenience instead of order #. They should really get a ticket system or something.
