All the food was a huge hit. Everything was so flavorful and this was the best Menudo I've had in years. Affordable price, good portions sizes, the friendliest service, and awesome food. I would definitely recommend. Chips and salsa were also on point.

FANTASTIC!! If you want incredible tasting Mexican meals at reasonable prices then this is the place. We were seated within 2 minutes of walking in the door, chips and homemade red salsa served 2 minutes later. Our order was placed 3 minutes later; vegan style fajitas with homemade corn tortillas and a stuffed vegan burrito with green sauce. 15 minutes later our sizzling and delicious lunch was served! I can simply say "FANTASTIC"! Come and enjoy!

We'd been interested in coming here and finally we came for late lunch. We had Mexican tacos and build your own plate with enchilada and tamale, and also guacamole. Everything was delicious; especially the meat was tender and flavorful, and the guac was fresh. The only thing is that the tamale wasn't the best. The atomosphere was nice and the service was excellent. We'll be back.

The service was great, fresh warm chips and salsa. I had veggie fajitas and they were sizzling and tasty! This is a big restaurant and they can accomodate a group. It is very well run and they have gorgeous drinks available and happy hour specials.

They gave me more than what I expected. I wanted veggie fajitas but they weren’t on the menu so I just ask if I can get the chicken fajitas without the chicken. Which came with bell peppers, onions mushroom you the basics. But when they brought that plate out with loaded veggies and still steaming out I was too excited for my meal lol the pic is from a video I took. You can see the smoke coming from my good. It was hit and flavorful. They could have just given me the basics but I loved how they took the extra mile and added more.

So we asked for vegan options and there was some confusion. We received some chicken. But they addressed our issue immediately and made it good. We really enjoyed their beans. I would recommend the place. It felt authentic in feel and taste.

Roberto is the best waiter and the rest of the entire staff is always on point!!! The drinks and food are always fresh and served hot.

Enchiladas Verde were PACKED with flavor. Would suggest trying them. Very quiet bar/restaurant that has an amazingly attentative staff. The rice wasn’t my favorite, I found myself wishing it had more flavor to it but the enchiladas definitely made up for that which is why this review is 5 Stars. Happy our specials are great and they are full sized drinks!

Please stop by at this lovely establishment! The fried ice cream is delicious. The customer service was fantastic, plus the atmosphere is very rich in useful and interesting information about their rich and flavorful Latin culture.

My family enjoyed our after church meal. Lizeth was kind, attentive and provided excellent service! Bonus, kids eat free on Sundays (with adult meal).

Food was Awesome. Very good taste, Hand made flour tortillas. Michelada was the best i have had in this area. Everything was as what i expected from the reviews i read: Great food, awesome drinks, and very good decent price. Food as Good as Lupes Tortillas but at about a portion if the price. My food was good and I been here a few times. Service is good and there accommodating to children which is also nice. I see a lot of mixed reviews for the place but honestly I think it's people just being nitpicky I haven't had any issues in the few times that I've been here and I've also been here multiple times throughout the day whether it be night time the beginning in the middle whatever and the service has been consistent in my opinion.

The enchiladas are incredible.... I had the beef and my wife had the chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. The corn tortillas were perfectly cooked, the beef was perfectly seasoned, the chicken was incredible..... The refried beans were perfectly cooked and great tasting and great consistency of texture. The rice was delicious as well. The portions are definitely worth what you pay for. Plenty of food for the price. Only downside is that my appetite wasn't bigger to eat more. I look forward to going back here for another meal. The staff was definitely on point, friendly and quick to refresh our drinks, also with checking if anything else was needed. It would be nice if all restaurants were run like this one. I wish that there was a location in the San Antonio area.

Our favorite waiter Roberto is always hospitable and friendly. He’s very professional and always makes sure that our dining experience is wonderful. We’ve been coming here for over 10yrs.

I didn’t have much time for lunch but was craving Mexican food. Cilantro’s is a good place for lunch. The service was awesome and fast. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, the salsa was not chunky - the way I like it. The Quesa Birria was very tasty, they gave me 3 tacos and that was really enough for me. As you can see from the photos I was caught up in the smell that I started eating them before I took a picture :-) The restaurant atmosphere is relaxing, you can eat at the small bar area or at one of the many tables they have.

The best Mexican food I had since I came back to Texas. This place serves the best food and the strongest margaritas. Only $6 for a flavor margarita as well. I’m addicted to this place. Highly recommend. Love getting the Mango Margarita with the Beef Mexican Tacos. Also, busboy is pretty cute and super friendly!!!

I loved the Variety of this menu! Combo plates were very inclusive of someone who wanted just a little bit of this and little bit of that. The Shrimp 🍤 Cocktail was my meal of choice- a little sweeter than I desired but that just personal preference. Shrimp 🍤 were plentiful, veggies 🥑 🧅 very fresh. Service was fantastic and food was prepared very quickly. My husbands bacon 🥓 wrapped shrimp 🍤 was 🔥 chefs kiss 👩‍🍳 💋 I wished we lived closer so I could sample the whole menu. The food was OK. I feel like the temperature could have been hotter when I got the taco salad. I don’t know if the ground beef is already made but the flavor was there me personally, I just want my food to come out piping hot other than that, I will be back.

Good food, good service but the only bad thing i can say is that they allow people to be obnoxious and loud, without saying anything to them. Hence, ruining a great experience at a family dinner.

Great spot we've been coming here for years. Happy Hour on the patio with a DJ who had that LA vibe going was cool.

The food was pretty good. We always have a large party of 12 so it's easy to notice the customer service. It was cool. We sat outside. They have a good Tilapia and broccoli plate.

Loved the food and drinks at this restaurant. Service was fast drinks were very good and the waiter even had suggestions for the types of margaritas we were ordering. We ordered from the special that night which was fajitas for 2 which was steak and shrimp and it was delicious. I really like the vibe of this place and I've visited this place 3 times the 2 years of come down to Houston.

We ordered online and picked up our order. When we got home with the food we were missing our beans from both orders. We called to let them know and they kept putting us on hold. Then when someone finally got on the phone they made it so long and drawn out asking us out order and then putting us on hold again. After my husband got mad and told them he’s trying to get his beans and eat before his food gets cold he said he’s coming to get his beans and should he bring all the food back or should he just come and pick up the beans they said just come get them. They could have said that in the first place. No apology or anything. So we had to eat cold food with our hot beans. They seem confused.

They get 3 stars from me because the temp outside was 96 and INSIDE was really warm instead of nice and cool, in my opinion the chips were cold and tasted stale, the Chile con queso was kind of watery, the margaritas were also watery and tasted bland, the fajitas were tender (not chewy) and had decent flavor, the rice and beans were just ok, the service was very good everyone was attentive and pleasant, I can’t say if I’ll go back as is fresh in my mind the unpleasant temp inside.

I ordered the combo fajitas and there was literally no flavor all and was very disappointed. There are too many other Mexican Restaurants that have great tasting food. I won't be coming back.

I ordered cheese enchiladas, and one beef taco with queso sauce and when I receive my order, the plate wasn’t even hot. The cheese Did not even melt I would’ve complained earlier, but my server never showed up until the end. Very disappointed. I was told the manager said that they couldn’t help with since I’ve eaten it. I will not be returning.

I’m going to be real careful on how I review this restaurant. Everyone has different taste and this review is in no way trying to discourage anyone from eating here. I’m only sharing my personal experience. The service was great but I can’t say the same for the food. I was supposed to be meeting 12 other people for a late lunch and I was the first to arrive. When I got there, the two host at the front were very courteous and friendly. While I waited, the host was nice enough to let me look over a menu so I can at least get an idea of what I wanted to eat. After four more in our party showed up, the host sat us at our table and took drink orders. Once more people started coming, we ordered our food. I finally decided on the combo platter with the one taco, one cheese enchilada, and one chicken flauta. The food looked really good when it was placed before me but after my first bite, it wasn’t the best. To me, the refried beans were bland; the taco meat in my taco had no seasoning; the corn tortilla on the enchilada tasted slightly off. The rice was ok and the chicken flauta was even better after I added some of the queso that was brought to the table. Only a few others in our party were disappointed in the food as well. Our main server continued to come back to check if we needed anything while another server continued to keep our drinks filled. No one received any wrong entrées and we did not experience any major problems when it came to paying our bill. I feel like they did an exceptional job at being attentive. If anyone should ever visit this restaurant, the food may or may not be to their liking but I can almost guarantee that they will not be disappointed in the customer service.

We ate here for the first time not too bad. The food was pretty good and the service was fast. Salsa was probably the best I've had here in Houston so far that I'd have to say was the best part about this restaurant!! Now the reason I only gave them three stars is because we ordered a regular margarita on the rocks, and it looked and tasted straight like water. I'm not one to complain, but I do like a good margarita with my food. So we did let our server know. He came back, and it was darker but just taste more like hmm well we couldn't quite put our finger on the taste. Needless to say we did not drink them! Anywho the food was good and like I said the service was fast!

This was my second time eating here, but since it had been years, I didn’t remember how the food was. I joined a party of five for a birthday dinner, and overall, I wasn’t impressed. The drink I ordered was good, but the food fell short. I had the beef fajita enchilada with queso sauce on top, and it was overly salty. The presentation didn’t help much either it looked like chopped fajita meat wrapped in a tortilla with cheese spread across the top. Nothing special. Another detail worth noting is that gratuity was automatically included on the bill. There were no visible signs about this policy, and when I asked, the waitress pointed out that it was mentioned only in small print on the last page of the menu. Overall, I can’t say I’d recommend this place or plan to return.

This was my first time eating here I'm not sure if I will go back yet or not. The food and atmosphere was ok. However the service wasn't the best. We had to ask for silverware and napkins more than once. I ordered a side of sour cream with my meal. It did not come out with my meal so I had to wait for about 15 min for sour cream so I was almost finished eating when the server brought it out. We had to wait 30 min for our ticket and asked 2 different people for our server to bring to us. Finally I had to go inside to ask for ticket and one of the servers we asked to get our server said she told him. This was a total inconvenience because I had something important to do and missed my appointment.

Margaritas seemed watered down, food ok, nothing special, but they add a 38.8% gratitudity charge, " the tip" no mentioned anywhere about that, they hope that you don't notice it, so they get double tipped. When I asked about it, they couldn't give an answer

A Longtime Favorite That Missed the Mark Today” Let me start by saying—I’ve been coming to Cilantro’s for years. I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, the friendly service, and honestly, the consistency. It’s been my go-to spot, no question. But today? Today was... different. I decided to try takeout for a change and dropped by around 11:30–12:00 p.m. I ordered the fajita plate for one, which totaled around \$22. After paying, I noticed (of course) that for just \$10 more, I could’ve had the meal for two—something that wasn’t mentioned to me during ordering. Not a huge deal, I let it go. The food came out in about seven minutes, which impressed me. I was at the bar playing the video game, so I didn’t rush. A minute later, an employee came back over, asked if I had the beef fajitas, and then—without hesitation—snatched the bag and went back to the kitchen. Apparently, the order was wrong. No problem, as long as it’s fixed. Now, here’s where things turned south. The chips and salsa? Fantastic. Always have been. The beans and rice? Still top tier. But those corn tortillas? Cold. Like they’d just been pulled from the fridge and stuffed into a bag without even a glance at the grill. No char. No heat. Just... sadness. And the fajitas. Oh, the fajitas. Tender? Yes. Seasoned properly? Absolutely not. Salted beyond reason. Whoever was cooking back there either lost a bet or just really hates fajitas. I had to stop mid-bite, shake my head, and start writing this. Look, Cilantro’s—this place has been my favorite restaurant for years. But today’s experience left me disappointed enough to take a step back. I’m giving it a 30-day timeout. Look at my photo..... The nachos I ordered were disappointing. There was little chips to compensate for the shredded chicken I chose. (You can choose chicken, ground beef) I didn’t get enough time to get to my sour cream on the plate because it actually melted into a watery mess with the cheese. The venue was clean and inviting though.

We went here to celebrate my aunt's birthday. The restaurant was accommodating with seating. They offered to add more tables as our family members came in which was good. However, our waitress had retorts every time we brought up something that we thought was amiss. She was not apologetic but her attitude was more so defending herself in a nice tone then ensuring we had a good experience. The food also were small portions for the price (due to inflation I guess). Do not plan to return.

Omg!!!! I use to love to eat here occasionally. Lord they ruined my Valentine Dinner. First of all we was seated at a table that smelled like spoiled milk. Key right there was to leave!!! We moved to another area. Seemed much better. The salsa and chips were cold. We ordered. It took over 20 minutes before we got our food. I was so hungry so I kept trying to be patient. My boyfriend was ready to leave when we got there. I suggested to go there. I should have went where he wanted to go.,, Well the food finally was served and the steak enchiladas , rice was good, we asked for charity beans and they brought refried saying they were out. Then we tried to eat the beef tacos!!!! Omg!!! Not sure what type of meat that was. No taste, not salt, no pepper, almost like the meat was out into a blender!!! It seemed like it had been into water with no oil on the meat at all. Not sure if it was turkey but this restaurant has went DOWN!!!!!! The raspberry martini was horrible!!!! Please people don’t waste your time here!!!!! Pass this one on by!!!!!!!! Must be under new management!!! 1960 and 45 location. If you dine in. Don't sit at the bar. It smells like vomit. The food has changed so much for the worst. The food seems like it was old. Like frostbite. And then the server named "Glover". Very rude, snappy, messed up my order twice. No accountability what so ever. Slammed my drink on the table. Unfortunately I had to write this review. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I'm so extremely saddened and this is my first time rating 1 star. I spent $103.00 today at cilantro's. 14 tacos 1 quesidilla ( super small) Bean and rice 3 frescas ONE HUNDRED AND THREE DOLLARS The money lost was the least of my concern. Not only was I charged a la carte for what should have been a group order, the shrimp were dried to death in the tacos, like not edible. the beef fajita might as well have been chewing on car tires. The guacamole was oxidized, the the onions and cilantro were days old in appearance and all 5 of us who ate got sick. Within 30 mins of eating. Diahrrea and bubble guts.. gross, stop using old food we are human beings paying you money. Not dogs with cast iron stomachs.CUTTING CORNERS can kill someone. I'm so so so disappointed. I wanted to support a smaller business and not give money to larger corporations. Never ever ever ever again.

The only reason they get one star is because i had to make this comment for starters no one really greeted us the food came out alllll wrong the waiter also was very impatient and this whole experience was horrible my group was really patient and never was rude and this is the service we got no one tried to understand nor help the situation so I will not be attending this place ever again it was horrible and this is most definitely not Mexican food this food seem like it came out of a can the pictures was the only thing i got i didn’t even think to take other pictures

The waitress was rude the entire time. When we were ordering how our things how we like them, she would say no, you can do that. So when my mom order her drink with no ice (as we have always done when previously visiting) she still had ice and told my mom, "you said no ice but I still put ice, its a little but its ok". So my mom gave it back and asked for water only. She took our order and still didn't get it correct. They served other in front of us that was there after us. When we received our food, it was not hot. Just a horrible experience. Thanks to her rudeness, I won't return and won't recommend anyone.

I have been a local here for about 6,7 years. As every year passes by I just see the same people busting there butt. I attended cilantros wednesday night with 2 friends. I seen everyone working except the owner Claudia. She was just sitting down drinking with her friends not helping her employees out just chit chatting the whole night. Other previous nights have been the same… I know when wilson is there he goes around tables or helps his workers out. If this restaurant fails it will be because of her. I’m sure she treats her workers bad as well….

I normally visit this establishment often, but today everyone seems a little off, energy is off everybody seems all over the place . Me and my spouse were seated first at the bar and another group came in and got served before us I had to tell the bartender hello so she can attend to us because we were seated first. Like I said I come here often never have I been treated like this. Another couple came and left because they were treated horrible as well

Talking about a disappointment. I ordered the Papa nachos, half order. And you all are not gonna believe the portion size for 9.74. On top of that, the place stinks. The hostess was super nice. But apparently, they have changed management, and the food quality has gone down. They do offer margaritas 5.99. But that's to get you drunk. So you don't notice the bad quality of food and portions. Sketchy parking lot flickering lights looks like you’re gonna get robbed homeless man begging for food too. Asked what fajitas he recommends it was $25 I thought it must be good this is what he gave me I’ve never seen rice that color and the meat is mushy I can go to Texas Roadhouse and get a steak dinner for cheaper and I promise it would taste better

WARNING - DO NOT CONTINUE TO EAT HERE FOR YOUR SAFTEY If I could give this place 0 stars I would!!! I come to eat and have a good meal with my kids and the place smells like there’s a gas leakage it was so bad I had to leave and take my kids home because they coudnt breathe in the fumes not only that but ROACHES crawling on the table near our food! When i addressed these issues I got told that they don’t know what I’m talking about ?horrible customer service! I would never come here again ! These people have no care or respect for they’re customers nor they’re health STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
