Unlike the other location I had a great time but when you go things you need to be aware of parking is extremely hard to find on the weekends at either location because they’re so packed. It’s not that it’s limited parking. It’s just a whole bunch of people are always there. Plan to get there an hour and a half earlier than what you would like to eat so you can find parking and wait time. Food is great. It’s always been great and at a reasonable price. Service is good staff is friendly, kind and respectable.. your biggest issue will be wait time and parking. The food was amazing and my kids loved everything they ate.
Once again I was impressed! I eat out a lot and this is the best Mexican food from a restaurant in my opinion. Both locations had our food on point 👌we came to Houston to try new places and still ended up coming here 😂 and it won’t be the last time either. This time we had no wait time, and that’s probably cause this location is larger than the other one. Food took a lil minute but I did order a lot of food.
1st timer!!! Upon entering, you’re greeted with the painted murals with vibrant colors and folklore. The back of the menu shaded the story of the owner- beautiful story of a hard working immigrant with a dream! We arrived a couple of minutes after they opened and there were people already dining. Arrive early, it gets busy. The red salsa given with the chips tasted fresh but not spicy. The green salsa is spicier but does not taste as fresh as the red salsa. Go red!! Had the surf & turf egg rolls as a meal! Delicious is an understatement! Large portion, can be shared. Will be back. Highly recommend.
I heard many great reviews about this place. This places was everything. The atmosphere was a vibe even on a Tuesday night. I will definitely come back. My sever Adrian was awesome!! I had the fajita chicken enchiladas. The portion size was a nice size. Had to get a to go plate. Couldn't finish it all. Also the drinks were amazing I took one sip and immediately got an instant buzz. This place is worth all the hype!!
Dona Leti’s never disappoints! The wait was a little on the long side this time, but honestly, it was well worth it. The food came out hot, flavorful, and exactly what you expect from a spot that knows what they’re doing. Great portions, great taste, and that “made with love” vibe. I’ll definitely be back.
Great vibes lunch or dinner. Almost always packed , but they have very efficient hostess as well as servers. For those that have to wait, their drink selection is awesome and BIG. Dont go back to office if you plan to have a drink 😇. Not your typical Tex Mex place and that’s a good thing. Lots of unique apps and entrees. Each item is made with the best ingredients and it shows. Leftovers taste as good the next day. Plenty of parking compared to their heights location. Excellent food that cost a bit more than their competitors, but worth every penny, as portions are extremely generous. You will most likely have a 2nd meal. Service is excellent , drinks always filled and manager visiting each table at least twice during visit, always making sure you are taken care of. Can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu
Firstly, I DO NOT like Mexican food. I ended up because I was on vacation in my hometown Houston during our staycation. We decided to frequent places we've never been before to make the staycation worth it! And we ran across a review on tik tok. Then we saw pictures and read reviews! Bottom line.......gone on go!! Cause babyyyyyyyyy!!! Again, I don't like Mexican food, but I like Dona Leti's. Food, service, atmosphere! Everything! I was with my bestie and our teens. We had no complaints. And definitely will be back to South Post location.
First thing when you walk in is the well decorated resturant, then being greeted by a friendly staff. The wait for the food was not long and the presentation of everything was well constructed, even my appetizer of tacos was loaded. The food was flavorful and the birria was well seasoned. I would come back again to try the rest of the menu for sure.
Had lunch with my sis from another miss. My first time here. Lexi (a bona fide sweetheart) took great care of us! The manager, Titi (coolness), was kind enough to check on us too. The chips and salsa, shrimp quesadillas, shrimp enchiladas was tasty! Large portions, so got that to-go box/bag. Enjoyed the ambiance, service, and food. I see why crowds come in there. Restrooms are clean too. 🩵 Love it! Will definitely return. ⚘️🌹
The food here is so freaking good. I have never in my life set and waited for an hour and a half to BCT to try this place. They have two locations and each location is always always pack if you’ve always wanted to try this place you should especially if you love Mexican food and I’m one of them who love Mexican food Don’t sleep on them because it’s every bit of water, including the drink. You gonna go home with a doggie bag I don’t care what you order..
First time coming from dfw area.....the atmosphere is a vibe....the hot cheetos elotes was good...I got the birria sampler platter! It was a 10! The strawberry pineapple drink and fried strawberry cheesecake was a 20! You leave with so much food its insane with one plate you can eat for two....we will be back! Go when they first open at 11 we got there and people started trickling in within minutes....they also told us that we had a hour and 40 minutes or something like that to dine because they get so busy....I have never heard of a establishment doing that but hey if business is booming they want everyone to get a spot I get it.....spread the love.....
It took a while for me to go to this restaurant because it seemed a bit pricey but it was worth it. Everything we ordered tasted good. They didn't skimp out on the shrimp in the Texas burrito I ordered. The drinks were good too! Our waitress Vee was very attentive and patient since it was our first time. She explained everything we had a question on and kept checking up on us.
I dont have any complaints whatsoever. Damian was our server and he was excellent. Very detail oriented and attentive. He took care of and addressed small details before we even had a chance to bring them up. The food was great. I had the birria tacos. The serving sizes are large and match the prices. My friend had horchata which is pictured in the photo. As you can see, they went beyond just serving it in a glass. If you want to have any criticism it would be that the wait was 45 minutes but even that we didnt have to wait the full time. I can see why they are busy though.
I absolutely love this place. I came in to celebrate my Birthday. There was a little wait but that is to be expected with it being Sunday evening. My waitress was amazing and gave us some nice suggestions. The food came out within 10 to 15 minutes after we set down and ordered drinks and appetizers. After we were seated we were back out within an hour. We didn’t feel rushed or anything. Just all around awesome service.
This is my third time coming here, and each time I leave more impressed. The service is simply impeccable, 1000/10. We celebrated Valentine’s Day, and Chella was the one who took care of us. She explained everything patiently, helped us choose, and was attentive the entire time. And to the manager reading this: if Chella ever leaves, let me know so I can go with her 😂. Employees like her are not easy to find. The service has been five stars at both locations. Highly recommended
Whew! I had to sit on this one for a minute! This was Hands down some of the BEST Mexican food I have had in a long time (and i was raised on Mexican food). The staff is accommodating and friendly, and we were seated quickly on a packed night! So, Imma start from the appetizer, The chips and salsa were fresh and taste homemade (not watery and well seasoned) the drinks are AMAZING and refreshing as well! Be careful not to get full on chips and drink because the portions are HUGE. I got the surf and turf eggrolls and My Hubby got a sandwich. It comes with Alll the fixings free (sauce, guac, etc). The meat was tender, juicy and fresh! Veggies was fresh and lightly seasoned, and it wasn't GREASY. If you are a cheese lover, you will appreciate their menu as well! Truly an amazing experience, but beware it can get crowded and loud sometimes! But thats the ONLY downside! Enjoy! (TRY THE ELOTE, ITS AMAZING AND YOU WILL HAVE SOME TO TAKE HOME 💕)

Food is amazing! Drinks are really good. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Worth the wait!
We waited about two hours because my mom was eager to try the food. While waiting, I noticed most people leaving with bags of food, which I didn’t understand until we finally went inside. I ordered a Gordita plate and could only eat half after having a Strawberry Horchata. The drink was delicious, even though it didn’t taste like traditional horchata, and the Gordita was generously stuffed and well-seasoned.I can’t say I would come back specifically for the food but it was definitely a nice place to come to for the name and reasoning of the Restaurant!
Amazing murals decorate the walls and ceilings of this place. Great service by Oscar, he really knows the menu. My wife enjoyed a monster sized baked tater covered in beef birria meat and small amount of the birria consomme, they brought wifey some samples of a few toppings and she picked the birria and Oscar recommended a smaller serving of the consomme 'cause she thought it may be too spicy....I love the sample idea. I enjoyed the trio of steak fajita enchiladas, I opted for queso toppings and flour tortillas. We had plenty of leftovers which is a plus, the minus is the prices are high. Another thing I didn't care for was the silverware, my fork was very thin, especially for such a high end place, they need an upgrade on the silverware.
This spot is definitely a vibe and overall a solid spot, but there are a few things to know before you go. First off, be prepared to wait, it can be up to a 30-minute wait, especially during peak hours. We went on a Sunday and it was packed, so me and my girl ended up having to sit at the bar since there were no tables available. The food is good, but honestly everything on the menu is pretty overpriced for the portion sizes. Not terrible, just not something I’d come back for strictly for the food. Also, theres a photographer that goes around and takes a professional picture of you, then comes back to and charges $21.65 via apple pay, zelle or cashapp. BUT A QUICK HEADS up for the ladies: the women’s bathroom only has two stalls, which gets annoying when the place is busy. That being said, the drink menu is definitely worth trying. The cocktails are fun, well-made, and honestly the highlight of the whole experience. If you’re going for drinks, atmosphere, and a cute night out, it’s a solid choice just manage your expectations and you’ll have a good time!!!
The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 is because of the wait and there was a mishap with a glass of water once we did get a table. Management is going to have to work out a better system for the waiting room. Anyway! The food was delicious! I got "The Don" drink and it was good and strong. I was in a party of 8 and none of us had anything bad to say about the food. Even the most picky eaters, ate good!

Great service, large menu, good food but expensive. The portions are insanely large. The atmosphere is Mexican trying hard to be hip and cool. Might return to check out the drinks for HH sometime. …
I really wanted to like this place, but it fell short for me. The Food was just okay and could’ve used more seasoning. Nothing really stood out. With gratuity already included, I expected more attentive service, but our waiter wasn’t very present. I wouldn’t return, especially with so many solid Mexican spots in Houston

I have mixed feelings about this place after visiting for lunch with two colleagues about two weeks ago. We arrived around noon and were seated right away, which was convenient. Our server, Edgar (I hope I’m remembering correctly), was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The restaurant itself is decorated with impressive murals and has a bar/club vibe that seems like it would be fun on a weekend night. There was also plenty of seating available. Our first surprise came with the drink options. They do not offer unsweet tea, which is unusual for us and disappointing since two of us always order it. I don’t consume sugar at all, so flavored or sweetened teas aren’t an option for me. Water was the only alternative, which was a letdown since I enjoy tea with lunch. The red salsa was underwhelming—mostly tomato with no noticeable depth of flavor. I asked if they had another option, and Edgar brought the green salsa, which was better but still not memorable. We asked about their Birria, and he kindly brought samples. It was decent, and two of us decided to order it. One colleague chose the quesabirrias, which were much larger than what I’m used to but looked good. I ordered the “build your own bowl” with Birria, and my other colleague ordered a bowl with beef fajita. The bowls were enormous—easily enough to feed three or four people—so the portion size is definitely a good value if you enjoy the food. For us, the flavors just didn’t stand out enough to make us want to return. The service, however, was outstanding, and Edgar took great care of us. Unfortunately, the limited drink options and the overall lack of flavor in the food are deal-breakers for me personally.

Very disappointed in my experience with the food at this location and the responsiveness from management. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and it came with hair in it. After showing the hair to my server they went to get the manager. The lady that came over asked if I wanted it remade for here or to go. I asked to have it boxed to go since the rest of my party were already eating their food. After waiting an additional 25 minutes, still no food and my party had finished eating. I inquired as what was the hold up and they tell me it’s being boxed up. After waiting an additional 15 minutes my food was finally brought over to me. The waitress did say I hope your night gets better. My dinner had been ruined at this point and there was no sincere care or concern regarding the matter. I will not be returning to any of their establishments nor will I recommend any friends or family to patronize this place.
