First time trying Gyu-Kaku and it did not disappoint! I went with the meat lover’s meal and all the options were amazing. The new york steak was my favorite. Tender and savory in the best ways. Our server, Daniel, was super great. He knew all the best suggestions on the selection of meat and gave great tips on how to cook them to perfection. Definitely recommend the 249 location!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Service from Richard! I had such a great experience at Gyu-Kaku thanks to Richard! From the moment we were seated, he was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. He explained the menu, checked on us regularly without being overbearing, and made the whole dining experience easy and enjoyable. You can really tell he cares about providing excellent customer service. Richard truly went above and beyond — we’ll definitely be coming back because of him! Highly recommend asking for Richard!

We had such a great experience thanks to Kevin & Richard! Both were warm, inviting, and incredibly sweet from the moment we sat down. Richard took the time to explain what we could and couldn’t order, which made everything so easy for us. Any time we had a question, he was attentive and answered without hesitation. Richard had to leave and Kevin covered his shift. Kevin was also great! You can tell he genuinely cares about providing a great dining experience. Thank you, both, for making our visit so enjoyable! Kiet was our server and was very attentive during our dinner. He made sure to explain the menu and described all the meats when they came out. He even made sure to change out our grill when they were charred. The meat came out in a timely order and everything was amazing! Definitely would come back.

The service is incredible. Our server Richard is really attentive, he monitor and replace our grill constantly to optimize the grilling experience and meat quality. We choose AYCE option and always have Cody checking up on us whenever we running low on food. Another plus for me is having the manager working along side with the server, he offer free drinks for the both of us when we got the gyu Kaku app. If you like BBQ, you would enjoy your dining experience here.

THE BEST JAPANESE BBQ IN HOUSTON!!! Absolutely amazing experience – 10/10! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The garlic was out of this world, the karaage and spicy cabbage were both perfection, and the Fried Garlic Noodles were unforgettable. Everything hit. Can’t wait to come back!

This was a great food experience. Food was delicious and there are option for you to cook or have it cooked. Its a great way to sit around, grill and eat and chat. The seating could us some updating as it is very worn but this is due to the amount of people going. Make reservations! Its a little pricey but you just need to understand how this works. I think the all you can eat is a great deal but you should plan what to eat! :) Enjoy!

This is the third time I've come and been disappointed. This place used to be amazing :(

We’ve been regular customers here bi-weekly, but this was the worst experience ever. The server literally tossed dishes on the table, and we waited 30-40 minutes for simple hot water. When asked, the server responded disrespectfully to my friend. Worse, the manager wasn’t even present during lunch hours. This reflects poor management. I had a terrible experience here! My server took 30 mins to bring my drink order. I was waiting 10 mins at the front to be greeted. I had to seal tot he back to ask someone who appeared to be on a break to assist me. The food service was terrible and very slow and i spent $125!!! Never again. Do not go to this location!
