Very good sushi. We had a great experience eating sushi and drinking saki. The all day happy hour on Saturdays and Sundays is a nice bonus. Service was spectacular handling a pretty rowdy group of six. Highly recommend.

This place is always a go-to for us when we’re out with friends. The vibe is great, the service is consistently on point, and the bartenders are the best. What a treat. Service and atmosphere: This restaurant is located in downtown area and its within walking distance from other attractions. There limited pay-for parking space on the street or you can park in the parking structure across the road. Service was really good and friendly. Our server was olite and helpful. Food and drinks: The restaurant offers very good selection of various dishes on their menu. I opted for salmon with sweet potato mash and grilled vegetables. The food was nicely plated and dressed. All components were seasoned very well and accompanied each other perfectly. The burger was executed equally well. We ordered side of street corn with the burger an I must say, this was the best street corn we had in a long time. The restaurant offers open bar with wast selection of different types of alcohol. The cocktails looked great on the menu, however, we didn't order any during this visit. Next time :) Pricing: $$-well priced for selection and quality.

Great restaurant! Food was great and the ambiance was very welcoming. The staff were very helpful and always glad to help. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which came with rosemary/salt fries. The portion was good and all ingredients were fresh. The fries had the coveted crunchy outside (but not too crunchy) and soft in the inside.

Hey there! Just wanted to say that my family absolutely loves coming to the market square location whenever we can it is one of our favorite Houston gems. Especially when we get to sit upstairs. The staff is always great, service can be a little slow but i don’t mind too much cause it creates time to commune with your dinner guests. The appetizers and entrees were exceptional as always. However! PLEASE put the Jalapeño and Whitney drinks back on the cocktail menus (they are our family favorites). But the bar manager was SO kind and made me a birthday jalapeño on the house and it really made my night special! Isabella at the door was so personable. And we will definitely be back to see you all soon thank you again for a wonderful experience!

On a quiet Monday night this was a good find. Probably the highest ceiling in a bar I’ve ever seen. Great ambience and cocktails. Just had the ahi tuna nachos appetizer - excellent! Next time I’m there n Houston I’d definitely come back here👍🏻

1st visit was exceptional and we had short ribs and chicken sausage pasta. This time around we switched it up and honestly the food was just as great as the 1st time. The restaurant was not as busy this time around but the service was good. Destiny was lovely and attentive. We both had mocktails. The cucumber cooler with coconut water was a home run. The hot dog was a perfect bun to winnie ratio 👌🏼 although the bar and restaurant have a nice classy feel to it im certain a casual lunch/dinner is acceptable at this vintage establishment.

On a late Friday night, we stopped into Hearsay for a quick bite and a final drink. The staff was all very friendly and we received our food fast after ordering. It was very relaxed for a Friday, which was quite a nice change of pace from the other bars in the area. The atmosphere is always great at all Hearsay locations, I'd recommend stopping in for at least a drink!

So glad we discovered this unique restaurant in one of the oldest buildings in Houston. Ate poblano soup for the first time. Delicious! But then so was all the food. The service was friendly and efficient. Great margarita too. Thanks for both go to Rogelio (in photo). Wish we didn't live so far away (in Scotland) so a return visit would.be possible!

We made reservations for mothers day and everything was outstanding during our visit. The food was delicious and came out timely. Our server was attentive and friendly. We had the beef short rib plate and it was so tender. Just perfect. We also tried the scallops plate that was also perfect 👌 for dessert we had the bread pudding and it did not disappoint 😋 The manager Mr. William came to check on us to make sure all was well and it definitely added a nice touch to our dinner. We will definitely go back!

The building was absolutely beautiful! There’s a bar on the inside, high ceilings, great lighting, and some of the seating has beautiful greenery on the walls (makes for great photos)! We initially sat inside then decided to eat outside as it was a nice day. Off of the beauty alone, I would highly recommend this place, but the food and service followed suit! Our server was absolutely amazing, super sweet, fun, and knowledgeable of the menu! She was the one who offered us to try their pineapple mimosas, which were delicious! We also tried the deviled eggs and the cheesesteak egg rolls with a sweet chili sauce, they were both great, but I loved the egg rolls! For my entree, I tried the hearsay fried chicken and waffles, and I can honestly say I’m not a big fried chicken person, but this was absolutely THE BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had! It was was cooked and seasoned to perfection, extremely flavorful, down to the bone. The waffle was cooked to the perfection and fluffy! I would go back just for the chicken, but everything was perfect! 10/10 highly recommend!!!!!!

Cool spot with a good happy hour and delicious sushi. I really liked the cozy vibe. Since it’s downtown, parking can be hit or miss, but it wasn’t too bad. There was valet parking in front, which I initially thought was complimentary for the restaurant, but turns out it was cash only—$20. Overall, I enjoyed the casual yet cutesy atmosphere and can see myself coming back!

Been here a handful of times now to form a opinion. The volcano roll is my bf’s ultimate favorite roll from here, I absolutely love their soft shell crab roll and hand rolls. Squid salad isn’t something I’d order again from here, but their dumplings and seaweed salad is a recommendation from me!

Tried a new place near the Wortham theater in the Theater District of Houston. Began with a cold calamari salad that was tasty, a little chewier than I prefer but still good. Followed with the shrimp fried rice and it was very good with large succulent whole and chopped shrimp mixed in. Had the Bobby roll and of course the tried but true Crunch roll along with 2 piece real crab and shrimp sushi. 🍣 Over all pleasant experience, service was attentive, courteous, and efficient. Food was satisfactory though I did feel the tempura batter may have lacked a little bit of seasoning but overall will try again and recommend.

This place was very welcoming from the moment that I walked in. The hostess was very cheerful and the server was friendly as well. He suggested the Volcano Roll based off of my tastes that I communicated. The restaurant was clean, although parking was horrible (but it is located downtown). I didn't care for how my sushi roll was falling apart, nor did I care for the rice. The rice tasted supermarket-ey. The crab wontons were pretty decent. Overall it wasn't bad for happy hour after work.

It’s a nice place with good environment. We had volcano roll (1st photo), soba noodles ( 1st photo), spring roll ( vegetarian) (2nd photo) and shrimp and vegetable tempura fry (3rd photo). Volcano roll, soba noodles and spring roll was very nice but we didn’t like tempua fry, since it didn’t have any flavour and it had very less salt. However, volcano rolls were full of flavours and it looks good also, as you can see in the photo. Soba noodles are good option, especially for vegetation people.

It's better than many restaurants that I tried before. Smiling staff with good food. Prices are reasonable. I tried hot house sake. It wasn't amazing, but it's still worth trying.

The food did not disappoint. For starters I had the jalapeño spinach artichoke dip was my oh my delicious. as an entrée I had the crab crusted redfish *chefs kiss* it was so good and the leftovers were even better. kind of in the mood to go back and re-order that The ambience was calm. Excellent food, great atmosphere, sever wasn’t the most attentive but she was very kind and we really enjoyed our meal and dessert.

Nothing negative to say about this resto but no high praise either. The sushi rolls although a bit amateurish in size consistency were satisfactory. The calamares were delightfully crunchy but was neither chewy nor tough as well. The unagi were a bit thin but there were a lot of pieces. The katsudon was okay with a crispy salty pork and egg balanced with a blander broth-soaked rice.

We should’ve known as soon as we walked in, the hostess wasn’t very friendly, which set the tone right away. I thought maybe it was just the Galveston location, but apparently not.
