We tried this cozy Cantonese restaurant and loved the food. The duck and pork BBQ were amazing, tender, flavorful, and definitely a highlight. My teen son and husband really enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, a classic done really well. I wasn’t crazy about the corn in the fried rice, but I always like trying new dishes and flavors. The staff was very friendly, took the time to explain the menu, and made us feel welcome. If you’re looking for Cantonese food in a warm and casual setting, this spot is a must-visit.
Good place for consistent good food. They have wide varieties, hong kong food to southeast asian options. There has to be something for everyone
Must visit place for breakfast whenever I am in town. Love the authentic Hong Kong style breakfast!!! And of course! To go dishes home after the meal.
The restaurant is a hidden gem serving authentic Hong Kong style food. Everything we tried was just simply fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.
It was an absolutely amazing experience. The Han Nam chicken rice was the best I have ever had in the State. So was the black pepper pork cutlet spaghetti. HK style French toast was also a hit. The service was nice and friendly (best among all the Hong Kong style cafes I have tried so far hahah) By the way it was cash only. Authentic indeed
Best Hong Kong style Cafe in the area hands down. We ordered the Satay beef instant noodle, baked pork chop fried rice in tomato sauce with cheese, curry fish balls and of course, the French toast. It tastes just like how I remembered from Hong Kong! I also had the Hong Kong Style Milk Tea and Red bean ice. When I say this place is legit authentic, I mean you need to jump in a car, hop on a bike, take a bus, Uber, Taxi, etc. And get your arse in there and order up these insane delicious authentic Hong Kong style cuisine. The ice milk tea was so good that I went back again and got another one after I left.
Having long business trips and miss Hong Kong food so much! This restaurant reminds me the local HK taste and it’s the second time I came. Ordered BBQ duck rice added one fried egg and Singaporean fried noodle. Of course with the HK milk tea. Will definitely be back next time I will be in Houston. Highly recommended! Remarks: CASH ONLY
Not really hidden, but definitely a gem! Authentic Hong Kong food - recommended for lunch in Chinatown area. Beef stir fried flat noodle (C3) was our favorite and recommended to try! Also the baked pork chop is delicious. However, I almost gave this place 4 instead of 5 stars because it is cash only - and I don’t think it’s appropriate in 2023.
Cash only but totally worth the effort! It’s usually busy but we snagged a seat pretty fast. We ordered wonton soup with noodle, a bit average, instant noodle with beef, very good; and beef chow hefen, yummy beyond words can describe. We devoured it! Be sure to try the Hong Kong milk tea!
BBQ Duck & Hainan Chicken were soooo good! The meat was so moist & tender with just enough flavoring. Hongkong Milk Tea is also a must! This place is cash only though (or Zelle).
An excellent little family-owned restaurant with authentic dishes! The HK milk tea and coffee were amazingly good, and we will have to come back for the Toast! As for savory dishes, we got a BBQ pork plate, Singapore noodles, and curry fish balls. Everything was delicious, but I do wish the portions for the bbq pork were a little more generous. However, the prices are very good for the quality and portions, and overall, I think it’s a must try for some classic tastes!
24 years in business, they must be doing something right! their roast duck was ono! $9.70 breakfast set with a drink? how can u not COME here and have breakfast at least..i did a full review on my youtube channel. very nice folks, reminds me of being back in hong kong cha chaang teng, but cleaner...lol.
This is an awesome restaurant for quality and affordable eats. The menu is reminiscent of "mom's" cooking . The staff are very friendly and willing to address any concerns with the dishes . The food is prepared well and comes out insanely quick. I have taken many friends and family here and the result is usually the same. Amazing ! Side note - this place only accepts cash . Also, can be a bit crowded for big groups .

Perfect place for a light lunch! The food came out quickly. There aren’t many tables for seating. I appreciated the wide variety dishes on menu
Strongly recommend the GuangDong style roasted duck. Presentation is good. The flavor is unbeatable. The portion is big. The roasted pork is also very good. I love the milk teas.
came here on an early Saturday morning, but there were quite a few patrons already, the uncle working there was very welcoming and after find out that we were there for the first time, he offered many recommendations include the freshly made roast duck, which was very good. The satay beef instant noodles tasted great but I think $12 something is kinda expensive for instant noodles. The congee was ok, i might add a bit more salt, but my wife liked it. the roast duck was very good, juicy, flavorful, and the skin was thin and crispy. The fried dough (油條) was just ok, kinda old. Overall the experience was good and i would be back to try out more dishes.
I’m not from Hong Kong or am used to the traditional Cantonese cuisine but this restaurant was a good representation of what a modern cafe is like in Hong Kong. However it had some freaky dishes like the mango shrimp dish which I could only eat like a half of. However the traditional food they have is good. If you’re not used to traditional Chinese food this restaurant probably isn’t for you but anyone that’s Chinese/from Hong Kong would like it.
Hainan chicken was so so. Wonton noodle and satay beef were good. Get the milk tea with grass jelly. Very good 👍🏻

Only reason you would come here is because you never been to HK or you haven't been to HK in a while, and want to have some traditional HK café food. Premium price for low quality. It's like paying $10 for one cheeseburger from McDonalds. Drinks is flat, French toast is small and $1 extra for a thin layer of fillings, Hot tea is lukewarm. Milk tea most likely made from powder Service is nice, surprisingly, unlike real HK cafe, but they were trying to push additional purchases, which is very annoying.

I think the shop changed owner a few months back, service level has dropped drastically. The new set of servers are just not knowledgeable about the menu. As old customers, I wanted to tell them what I really wanted and they will argue back to you. Also, they just really don't care about customers at all. For example, trying to upsell me egg tarts and saying it was freshly baked. I said yes and they could just take it from the shelf and serve us. It doesn't take any preparation. But yes, they conveniently forget and was never served. When checking out, I mentioned to them that the egg tarts wasn't not served, please remove it. They have the audacity to suggest why not do a take out. They didn't fist apologize for forgetting but just concerned about how to get the egg tarts sold. This is how much they care. The last visit, I ordered bbq pork and roast duck rice and my wife ordered some noodles. The noodles was served and she already finished eating. I asked the servers where my rice, then they told me the duck still takes a while to be ready. C'mon, if you're the serve you should have the common sense to know that when customer order bbq pork and roast duck, they expect it to be fast as minimal preparation is required for such items. Instead they didn't bother, and not to ask me if I want to change anything as the duck wasn't ready. Frustrated, I want to cancel it. As usual, they used a threatening tone to ask me "what do you want?" It is very disappointing such an old shops that served Cantonese/hkg style food has become like this. I have given them several chance to improve since the change of ownership but very unlikely to visit again.
