What a Beautiful Lunch & Brunch place with cute patios. I had finished up an appt nearby om a Sunday and hadn't eaten yet, so I saw that Millies was nearby and had a patio. It was a beautiful day and I wanted to invite my friend who was out with his dogs. It's dog friendly. Our server was great (I can't remember his name but ) he personally made my drink from a recipe I requested. The Brunch Shrimp and Grits was great and we also tried the calamari. They had a huge fan blowing on the patio for us on a warm day and when I told them dogs were coming, someone brought out an ice bowl of water right away for them. It was such a cute spot to relax on a weekend. And I hear they have great happy hour. I'll be back.

Let me first say I had exceptional customer service Mario Q truly elevated the dining experience. We did the HRW and the smoked cheese was my favorite appetizer... the wedge salad was super tasty but the star was the entrees...we got 1 crab cake 1 shrimp and scallops and 1 snapper...delicious...the seafood was fresh and not overly done and the sauces ...chefs kiss. I can not wait to come again...oh the zucchini is the best side dish. Oh almost forgot to mention Monday is all day happy hour 🍹

This is such a cute spot with a wide variety of seating options. The menu is very eclectic, and there are additional options for food available during happy hour. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, which is always appreciated. The food is delicious and filling! I know it's a seafood place, but the chicken salad sandwich is a must try! Side note: all the salt and pepper shakers absolutely made my day!

Wow what an experience! Are daughter and grandchildren live in Houston and an area varying near to this wonderful restaurant. We have been going here for almost 8 years since they moved into the area. The most recent experience was by far the best. They have gone through a transformation in quality of staff, food and presentation. Parker was our server and was very attentive and friendly. It seemed they use a team waiter approach meaning that if anyone sees something that needs to be done they just take care of it even if it's not their table. An incredibly enlightened way to do things. Our geandkids had a wonderful time playing in the play area. It has been expanded cleaned up and added some new toys. Overall it was a great experience for both adults and kids! The menu has been completely redone. I suggest the owners update the questions on the website here to reflect the new menu. We had a lots of bisque that was absolutely amazing. I took the death by gumbo to go and just had it for lunch. It was exceptional and can easily make two meals for myself. The chicken for the children was a perfect portion for each of them. And real chicken meat not ground up pieces parts.

Update: I've been back since my first time and 1st review below - 3 more times and I have been a bit let down . The large seafood tower was a complete disappointment. Had 12 oysters. 8 shrimp and dish full of crab claws for a whopping $65. We brought our friends and the large seafood twr sounded good but when we received it it looked very sad. It does saybon the menu what you're getting but regardless - still sad looking. Also I ordered the chowder and there was way too many potatoes. I attached a pic after I already had about five bites and you can still see the amount of potatoes. I don't think you need to replace the potatoes with more seafood necessarily but just not so many potatoes. It's unnecessary filler. The calamari is good and so are the pancakes. Original review after my first trip. Absolutely loved this place. I've been once and had been putting it off because something about the bright pictures posted here made me think it wouldn't be a place to come and hang out for a couple hrs and enjoy an evening. I was wrong. The pics don't do it justice. It does have a nice, warm, inviting ambiance in the evenings. And it's not too bright - which can be such a turnoff. My wife and I had the BBQ shrimp, mussells, traffled mac n cheese, and fish n chips. All were great. I actually had wanted the lobster roll but after eating so many apps I just didn't have any place to put it. Tops on my list for my next visits are the cioppino, scallops n shrimp, and of course the lobster roll. Sorry I waited so long to get here but glad I did.

We came for HRW. The lobster hush puppies were just ok. They were dry and didn't have any hint of lobster flavor. The seafood chowder was delicious. It was served cold though. All of the food was actually cold. The scallops and shrimp dish was very good. I would definitely recommend it. I had the chocolate cake which was also good. Our server was attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Very limited parking but you can easily find street parking.

We sat on the back patio with a group of families. The smaller kids took advantage of an enclosed play area (set up for under 5s.) service was fast and attentive. We left around 6 and live music was just starting on the front patio. It’s happy hour on weekdays 3-6 so I enjoyed a beer and we ordered the fried mashed potato balls to share. They weren’t our favorite but we enjoyed our crab cake dinner, kids shrimp and Caesar salad.

The location is great. Parking is a little confusing. Lots of seating options between indoor / outdoor. Service was good. Had one issue with the app while ordering. We selected everything we wanted and when we went to submit it, got a generic error message that said "An item you selected is out of stock" with no indication of which item that was and prevented us from submitting the order. The manager had to come over and check our order to let us know which item was out of stock so we could remove it. The fresh squeezed lemonade is addictive and I highly recommend it if you like lemonade. The fried dishes were okay, but the real stars were the fresh items. The crab cake was the definite winner and paired well with the caesar salad. A bit bummed the lobster rolls were sold out. Sounds like they are a highlight. Can't wait to visit again for them. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

MIllie's has wonderful food. We have eaten here three or four times, including lunch, and love it. We went on the spur of the moment on Friday evening, 2/27. Everything was quite busy when we drove up, but it appeared our party of three would be able to get a table in short order. Children and dogs everywhere, which is really pretty fun for old fogies. However the service was as chaotic as the children playing in the back play area. No one on staff appeared to have assigned tables to handle. We did manage to grab someone to order drinks and apps, which did appear after some wait. No one had appeared to take a food order, so again we had to go find a (different) person to take our food order. While the apps were excellent, after about 45 minutes we began to wonder where the food was. Again flagging down a member of the staff (yet another individual) who volunteered to check, the word was that while our order was on the board in the kitchen, he had absolutely no idea when it might be out. At that point we waved the white flag, having been in our seats for over an hour, paid for what we had gotten, and left. I would conclude that restaurant supervision is nonexistent, and staff training is also likely absent or at least disintegrates when the pressure of a busy night is on. I'm sure the owner will respond disputing my conclusion, but unlike many today, if I see it with my eyes and hear it with my ears, I trust it. Nevertheless, this is a great place to get a wonderful meal. We will plan to visit only when things are reasonably calm and organized!

This place has a cute atmosphere and a large menu which is great. The wait staff was really good as well. We went around 12 pm on a Friday and it wasn't packed, but it had a nice turnout. The food was underwhelming. I was really hoping the lobster hush puppies would be amazing and they tasted like regular hush puppies. Absolutely nothing lobster about them. Very disappointing. We also ordered the small seafood tower, so my son took a piece of lobster from the tower and shoved it onto the top of a hushpuppie. NOW THAT would make it more worth the money. Otherwise, save it, don't bother to pay for overpriced regular hush puppies. The rest of our food was good. The French fries that came with the Mahi tacos were tasteless. Would be nice if they seasoned the fries. We spent about $60 per person for lunch. I really wanted to love this place. I only like it. Probably won't be back buy glad I gave it an honest try. This food could be brought up to the level they charge if they just made some adjustments to the cuisines flavor and actually add the lobster so you can see and taste it to the hushpuppies. Make believers out of us.

I happened upon this eatery while Googleing "what's near me to eat.." while I was out running errands in the area. An appetizing lunch special appeared and i figured I would try it out. It was during the latter part of the lunch hour and the signage stated, self-seating. There were 2 other guests in the restaurant. I choose a nice marble-top table with table settings located next to their large picture-window. The location was cozy and there is a bar, in-door seating and a nice-sized outdoor seating area. The pre-sat table I choose had a few crumbs on it and a few pieces of food that I would have to use more than a swipe with the napkin to remove. Although I was not pleased, I was the one that selected the table..lol. I thought, maybe they were really busy prior to my entry, so I'll just stay and see what happens next. I realized that I might need to find a menu, so I ventured to the front stand and found them stacked on a ledge. I returned to my seat, and about 3 mins later, a team member greeted me. I was on my phone, so I put it down to provide attention. I asked which of the 3 menus I picked up were for the lunch special, she pointed and smiled, poured me some water and walked away. About 5 mins later, I politely signaled to please return, another team member came and apologized because she saw I was on the phone and did not want to interrupt me. I can understand that, so I let it slide. I ordered based on my request for a recommendation, the lobster hushpuppies & shrimp and oyster poboy. The hushpuppies came out within 5 minutes, gracefully warm, moist and darkened (it may be the oil that was used). The poboy entered the scene about 10-12 minutes later plated beautifully and to my surprise with fries. The fries were amazing, so yummy. I love a good home cut fry. The lobster hush puppies were okay, it was a nice feature to try out, the shrimp and fried oysters on the poboy were a nice-size, the batter was a little dark, but the combo went wonderfully with the toasted bread, lettuce, tomatoe and remoulade. I would order the poboy again. It's definitely enough to have leftovers! I ate half of the poboy, all of my fries (because you can't reheat those lol) and 1 hushpuppy! I sat and waited for a team member to ask how my food was and/or if I needed something else. That never occurred. I politely signaled again after waiting for some time, the first team member that poured my water returned. I asked for a to-go box and the ticket. She then grabbed my empty articles that were there previously, poured me some water, returned and I packaged my food, paid the ticket, left gratituity, because I always do. . I was not provided a verbal return greeting, or we hope to see you again. However, she did smile when I looked back to view her retrieving the ticket. Overall, service needs some refreshing, even when there is no rush, possibly invest a little more interest in the guest needs. Of course, no one wants to be pestered, but I'm sure most also do not want to continue to initiate every interaction, even if the guest is on a call. The food portions were awesome for a lunch special, the atmosphere was cozy, music was on a lunch level volume and overall my experience was okay. I would consider going back to give them a second try at a later date, maybe with another guest to garner their opinion.

I’ve been coming to this neighborhood spot for a while, but tonight was honestly the last straw. I’m glad they’re busy and I understand service can sometimes be slow — that happens — but if there’s a long wait, the food at least needs to be worth it. I ordered the pescado pasta, and after about a 30-minute wait it arrived completely mushy and honestly inedible, so I sent it back. Given how slow everything already was, I didn’t even want to risk ordering something else. I spoke with the manager to explain how frustrating it was to wait that long and still not get decent food, but since she was bartending she just said, “Hopefully next time it’ll be better,” and that was basically it. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning — especially with so many great options in the neighborhood these days. Oh and we spent $120 here and the manager dismissed us just like that ! If you plan to come here I suggest you stick to fried food and burgers.

Family friendly costal atmosphere. Really hate to give it bad review because it’s a local dinner but I was so disappointed in this experience. We had Millie’s crab balls- decent but wouldn’t order again. Pasta di marre- no go! Had salmon and crab although should focus on shellfish (clam, mussels, & calamari) the sauce was like a broth no taste of tomato. Had a very strong wine smell. Blackened fish was dry and also lacked spices or flavor. Bill was $150. Servers checked in but we honesty felt bad at not liking anything so we didn’t make a big deal and send it back but I have to be honest and hope the team gets honest feedback.
