It’s was our anniversary and our second time dinning at Morton’s…We came across this restaurant in San Francisco and we loved it…Tara was our waitress at the Houston downtown location and she was amazing made our experience even more enjoyable, pleasant and special! She was also very helpful and friendly, we love a great experience when dining and we’ll definitely be back! Oh let’s not forget those steaks soo juicy and flavorful #yummy

Nina is a joy as our server and every recommendation of hers was absolutely on point. Her interactions with each guest at the table were personable, fun and refreshing. When one cocktail was discontinued she made it a point to work with us and the bartender to serve something incredible! Try the "proprietary" Cajun ribeye as it was a fine cut with appropriate seasoning cooked perfectly to temp. Desserts were enjoyable and portions were acceptional. We will be requesting Nina as our server next time!

Just had the most incredible dinner with Nina being our server. She was so smart and knew exactly what each of us wanted. Try the Cajun prime rib. At the end of the meal, she let us know that she had only been working there two days we would’ve never had any idea as she knew the menu perfectly and did an excellent job. Nina‘s service was almost better than the food. Thank you for a memorable evening Nina hope you have many more years of service with Morton’s with your friendliness and accommodating us all for our meal. Thank you again. A+

I was in Houston on a work trip (I’m from Wisconsin) and stopped into Morton’s Steakhouse — and it turned into one of the best dining experiences I’ve had anywhere in the country. What truly set the night apart was our server, Tara. From the moment we sat down, Tara delivered service that was on a completely different level. She was attentive without hovering, warm and welcoming, and had a personality that genuinely made the night a joy. You could tell right away that she’s passionate about what she does and that she cares deeply about creating a great experience for her guests. She anticipated our needs before we even asked, made thoughtful recommendations, and brought an energy to the table that elevated the entire evening. Servers like Tara are rare — the kind of people who make you remember the experience long after the meal is over. Honestly, Morton’s should recognize her. She absolutely deserves a raise, a shout-out, or whatever the highest level of appreciation is at that company. She made the entire night unforgettable. The food was outstanding, but the service from Tara is what will bring me back next time I’m in Houston.

First time eating at Morton’s The Steak House and we truly enjoyed the experience. Tori, our server was extremely helpful with recommendations and made it easy to navigate through the menu. She was spot on with all her suggestions including the wine to steak pairings. Everything was brought out in a timely manner and it didn’t feel long at all. The restaurant’s team was very organized and the food was delicious. Excellent service indeed. I highly recommend this restaurant for date nights. Great ambience, service and quality food served. I was surprised that vegetarians have delicious options of seared tofu steak and ravioli. Desserts were also great. Great place for office dinners.

In short: Great food and great drinks. Overall, this was an excellent spot to enjoy a meal with my lady. The food was cooked perfectly, though it took a bit longer than expected—but good food is worth the wait. Our waitress was fantastic—helpful, attentive, and quick. The drinks were on point, too. Parking was a bit of a hassle, so I’d recommend using valet. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because there were some gnats flying around, which was a bit annoying and gross. The staff explained it was due to the doors being open earlier in the day.

My wife had this delivered for my 42nd birthday. Even after the delivery the food was still good! Steak was tender, juicy and full of flavor! Spinach and Mushrooms had a great flavor. The Scalloped Potatoes were a little undercooked but they had a nice flavor. Caesar salad and bread were different but I wouldn’t say they were bad. Overall, nice birthday dinner. We want to try again, in the restaurant. We know it will be better right out of the kitchen.

- Medium done 12oz Filet Mignon felt a bit burnt on the outside and dry on the inside; - King crab whipped potatoes were delicious, only I’d prefer it to be better whipped since there were lumps of potatoes; - Soda water tasted like chlorine - a better filter needs to be installed; - I ordered red wine with the steak, so I didn’t really appreciate it being brought out beforehand while I was not finished with Prosecco; - It’s quite dark inside, so reading the menu or taking pictures can be a bit of a challenge.

We ordered the porterhouse and the tomahawk ribeye both medium rare and the both came out rare and both were pretty much cold. The drinks were good and the bacon appetizer was the best thing we had all night. We got a dozen oysters also and they were about the size of a quarter. Service was great and no complains there. We also ordered a couple garlic butters with the steaks and they came out a couple minutes after the steaks and they were barely half way melted. We all agreed that we would've had a better meal at Texas Roadhouse which is no knock on roadhouse but for the price we are paying for premium beef it should've been a big difference in quality. It was our first time and this location and will be our last. We were there for my wife's 40th birthday and we all were extremely disappointed in the food.

I visited this location on a Sunday and chose to sit at the bar since I didn’t have a reservation though one didn’t seem necessary, as the restaurant was completely empty. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The bartender had a very poor attitude and acted as if he didn’t want to be there. There was little to no interaction during my visit. While I was seated, a couple sat next to me and were completely ignored. After waiting without being acknowledged, they eventually got up and left. Considering the restaurant was empty, there was no excuse for the lack of service. This is not the level of hospitality you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, this was one of the worst steakhouse experiences I’ve had in quite some time. Please do better.

Horrible experience from start to finish. From the valet service to walking inside, I was met with harsh stares and an unwelcoming attitude. The host was extremely rude and unprofessional to the point that I felt compelled to ask if there was an issue. This behavior completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable experience. This location would greatly benefit from improved customer service standards, front-desk etiquette, and staff retraining!

I ordered an 8oz center-cut filet prepared medium-well for my birthday. Instead, I was served a burnt, charcoal-like steak that was completely overcooked and missing the accompanying sauce. When I called the restaurant, the person claiming to be the manager showed no interest in resolving the issue and responded in a dismissive and unprofessional manner, as if the mistake warranted no concern. The food quality and the manager’s attitude fell far below acceptable standards.

My experience here was too disappointing not to share. I came for a friend’s birthday dinner and expected Morton’s to deliver the fine dining quality they’re known for. Unfortunately, it was a letdown from start to finish. Food:The steak was bland, overcooked, and oddly topped with crab meat and chopped asparagus ends — yes, the tough woody pieces that should’ve never made it out of the kitchen. The lobster tail was the only redeeming item on the plate. Service:For the prices Morton’s charges, the quality and presentation should’ve been flawless. To make matters worse, our server quoted us one price and charged a higher one on the final bill. When questioned, she acted surprised and went and got the manger who came out and said the price is subject to change. Which would have been fine had our waitress pointed that out from the beginning. The manger only fixed if for 1 check instead of both where the amount wasnt correct! His excuse was hes not able to remove a certain amount of the receipt. What? At a high-end restaurant, transparency and professionalism are the bare minimum. Overall, between the mediocre food, confusion over pricing, and lack of attention to detail, this visit was not worth the hype or the cost. Morton’s needs to do better if they want to justify their prices and reputation. — A disappointed diner who expected elegance, not asparagus scraps.

Truly was a horrible experience. Worst drinks and worst old fashioned i have ever had in my life. Ordered food. All the steaks where cooked wrong. Opposite of what was ordered. Table was never cleaned off and all nasty after the bread was served not wiped down even once. Ordered another drink and each time came back saying we don't have that whiskey. Worst anniversary dinner ever. Pappas or Ruth Chris all day. 500 dollars waisted.
