Excellent Lomo saltado and Pollo saltado. Will definitely return. Tender meat, and fast to go service. Was a little pricey, but worth every penny, especially on a weekend night.
I loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious, and there was a good amount of flavor. I would have liked it to be a little on the spicy side but even without that, I still ate it all. Great service. I ordered the bistec a lo pobre. I don't know what my friend ordered, we both enjoyed our meal.
Stopped by waiting for a friend. I had the Chaufa de pollo, Hugo de fresa and the yuca fries……absolutely delicious
Great food and great service! I highly recommend. We had the ceviche, the sampler plate and the lomo saltado. All we excellent. The ceviche was also amazing.
Stumbled upon this hidden gem today. As a Peruvian I’m so glad I have delicious pollo a la brasa ten min from home. We ordered a whole chicken combo today and have plenty leftover for tomorrow. I did not get a pic of the food because my order was takeout and we scarfed it down when I got home. 😅
Excellent food in a homey family run atmosphere. The chupe de camarones was different than what I'm used to, but it was delicious. Aji de gallina was very good as well. The trio marinero was a great deal, as we got arroz chaufa (super tasty!), Ceviche, and jalea de mariscos. Even the breading on the fried seafood was tasty. Worth a try! Don't be discouraged by how dark it looks from the outside.
Amazing food. First time to eat Peruvian food and loved it. Owner was super nice
This place was delicious! It's extremely adorable for the quality of food you get. Healthy and delicious! The service was incredible too. Highly recommend it! I took some picky eaters that had never had Peruvian food and they loved it!
A large group from our church showed up to Peru Gourmet with over 30 people. Their staff was amazing and served our group amazingly. We had multiple split checks and ordered a lot of food. They were kind, gracious, and attentive, and the food was spectacular. The best Peruvian food in Houston.
Food was exceptionally delicious. The portion was plentiful for the price. The empanada was much more filling than I expected and not greasy at all. Definitely a place to recommend.
I loved it. Everyone that’s whining about the prices… I mean, they are on the menu and online. If it’s too much for you, there’s fast food all around this place. I was amazed by the food and will be back shortly. I’ll definitely put it in my weekly rotation!
Food is amazing. Fried rice is my favorite. The soup is so satisfied. One of the best restaurant in town

My family has been to Peru Gourmet many times. What the restaurant lacks in space and decor it makes up for in delicious food. Among our favorites are the Chaufa (Peruvian fried rice - very similar to Chinese fried rice) which is pictures twice in the images included. The seafood ceviche and chicharron is also pictured. I recommend you bring your sense of adventures and love to international cuisine in to Peru Gourmet for a meal you’ll love.

In my opinion, some of the best fried rice (Chaufa) in Houston. Highly recommended! A true hidden gem.

Ordered 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. The server was adorably sweet. It's a small establishment, but it can comfortably accommodate 16 people. There is a 4% credit card processing fee that I did not see announced anywhere. The food was cooked well and had good flavor. The portions were more than enough. Yuca Huancaina: exterior crunch was great. The interior was cooked tmbut it I prefer it when it is softer inside and cruncher on the outside. It was not over salted. It comes with a yellow dipping sauce that was ok. $10.99 Taco tacu: the meat was super tender and well flavored. The veggies were cooked well and still had a little snap to them. The egg was cooked as requested. The rice and refried bean combination is mixed well, seasoned well, and refried well. The Texture and flavor were great overall 5 stars. $24.90 Cameron Saltado: the French fries could have been fried a little longer. The shrimp was fresh and cooked well. The flavor was reminiscent of Asian cuisine. White rice was white rice. $19.71 Tax: $4.59 4% credit card fee: $2.22 Would recommend. No wait on a weekend lunch hour. 4% discount if paid in cash advertised on receipt.

The food had great flavor; however, it wasn’t worth the price. I ordered a 1/4 roasted chicken, but it looked more like a quail—it was incredibly small, just a tiny thigh and leg, served with Chaufa rice and a glass of chicha. I didn’t even order a specialty dish, yet the total came to $30. The restaurant itself is small, with limited seating. The service was good—nothing extraordinary, but acceptable. I did feel that unless you’re part of their culture, the warmth isn’t quite the same. That said, the food itself was good.
Friendly customer service but the food just didn’t meet our expectations. The Chicha morada was great! The arroz chaufa was salty but the steak that came with it was delicious. Sadly the pollo a la brasa had too much garlic and so did the sauces it came with. If you like garlic tho you will like it.
Papa a la huancaina 3 out of 5. Too runny. Aji de Gallina 2.5 out of 5. Lacked flavor and bland rice Chicha morada 3.5 out of 5. Good. A tad bit too sweet

The only good thing here were the wings. Why we ordered wings is beyond me, but it was the only thing that actually had good flavor. I thought I played it safe by ordering chicken - because who can mess up chicken? Wellllll for 12 dollars you get tasteless dry chicken with two sides.
Flavor was good, portion was very small for the price. my meal was very small Portion. Flavor was ok, price and portion make no sense. Order Uber eats and this is what I got half way plate. Was lomo saltado
I'm mexican but I love peruvian food, I've been on a lot of different peruvian restaurants across the country and this one is not the best, we had the 3 meat chaufa and the taste of the rice was really good but the shrimp tasted undercooked and the beef steak didn't had any flavor and seemed like it was boiled instead of seared on the wok or whatever they use to saute it, the chicken was really good tho, I guess if I had ordered the chicken chaufa I would of been pleased, we also had the jalea and cebiche and we have tried better cebiche at home, lack of taste and a mini portion for the price, they want to make up with the fried scallop and shrimp but didn't had the right condiments either, at last we took a pollo a las brasas home thinking it could be their best dish but we were disappointed once again, the chicken was not cooked all the way and had a lot of spices, never had a pollo a las brazas like that, I think the one from pollo bravo are the best, had a hard time communicating with the server that didn't even know what the ají was, how are you going to be working on a peruvian and not even know the essential ingredients of what your serving

-“Sorry, we don’t have any chips left” said the waitress after we finished our small basket in the middle of the lunch hours of the day. Either that’s weird the restaurant only made a few chips or the waitress was lying. -Food was flavorless, both dishes absolutely plain. Rotisserie chicken from Kroger tastes better than the lunch special I got. -A tiny canned soda costs $2.50?? -Everything was overpriced and bland I don’t recommend it.
