I was in town for the weekend and saw this place riding by. The food is made to order so the line did move a bit slow. But ERIC had the best customer service ever, he was so nice. They have lots of menu options. The food was really good and priced so reasonable. Fries are cut fresh. It’s open 24 hours and just note it’s CASH ONLY.

Poppa Burger is an institution, it’s been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. It’s open 24/7 and is CASH only. I love their burgers, fries and shakes. Their price points are great, service is always welcoming and the food is good. Solid place to enjoy a burger. My fave is the cheese, bacon and jalapeño burger.

Let me tell you something. The food is good.Made as you go to order. We're can you go and get what's on menu. In Houston at 2:30 am or 3:26 am ? No where !! Storms have come and gone.Its the place that on the map. Only in near downtown. I can sleep walk and still get my Double Daddy and Fries with ketchup or no ketchup.

The food was cool for a 24-hour joint. They have a bit of a homeless problem in the area. If you can get over that and lack organization when it comes to parking, give em a go. 👍🏾

Service is quick and the portions are huge. There’s also lots of outside seating. Got 3 double burgers, milkshake and an order of onion rings for about $18. The burgers won’t blow your mind or anything, but for the price they’re decent.

The food is basic done well. I went for breakfast. Everything was made to order and priced very well. There are no frills at all but the ham breakfast taco and bacon breakfast sandwich were tasty. I like the salsa as well since it have flavor and just the right amount of heat. I don’t think the flour tortillas are fresh made, but they cooked them well enough to not really notice. The staff was super friendly and they have a nice little spot to sit outside and enjoy your food.

The burgers are good but that's about it. Very stingy with their cheese and the place smells like piss most of the times because a lot of homeless people are always around the place.

Dirty tables more often than not. The food is made fresh. Service is straightforward. Order at the window, wait for your number to be called. Cash only. I ordered the fish sandwich and it came out piping hot, add pickles since they do not have tartar sauce. Overall, a quick bite to eat on a late night.

First time here and this wasn’t for me. Ordered the cheese burger and chili cheese fries. The meat tasted/looked steamed? It wasn’t hot enough to melt the cheese. The bun was hard and dry. First time here and was NOT impressed! The lady at the front was rude and had an attitude. They charged a $3 extra tax charge but for what when they only accept cash? The meat on the burger was so damn bland and nasty I would have did better just eating the lettuce, pickles and tomato on the burger by itself. I felt like I was eating mystery meat. Not tryna just bash them but they know to put “no refunds” on the sign because of how nasty it is. The cheese fries coo though.

Food was not hot , the burger didn’t take like real ground beef but a soy burger , fries were ok , but the real thing was the customer service I bit into something hard that felt like if I was chewing faster I would have cracked one of my teeth, took the entire order back(with whatever was in my food) lady was very rude ranting the same thing over and over that she could not do anything before closing the glass on me and walking away. My order was not replaced nor was I refunded. Bad trip for a first visit, will not be returning
