Opinions de Sante Lounge Houston
This place is a pleasant surprise! The pizzas and the lasagna were perfectly done and delicious. The waiter, Nima, is the one you always want to take care of you. He's great, takes care of the details without even asking. The place looks very nice. On the weekends you get to do some karaoke, and there's also a day I believe that they have live music. Also it's quite cool how the bathroom is "hidden" (I give any spoilers). Highly recommend this place in downtown, especially if you want some NY style Italian food or pizza that stays open late. I'll definitely go back.
The food was Amazing I ordered Crab Stuffed Mushrooms 🍄 and The Big Otis Pizza 🍕 (Which is like an Ultimate Meat Lovers) the service and atmosphere was like an old tavern Pub 🍺 I really enjoyed my visit, I'll definitely be back 😋💯
Capone’s is a hidden gem in Houston! The mushroom pasta was rich and flavorful, the flatbread pizza was crisp and fresh with great toppings, and the Moscow Mule was perfectly mixed. Great food, solid drinks, and an awesome vibe — definitely coming back!
Haven’t tried a pizza here I didn’t like, but I’d say the Capone is my favorite so far. The crust is really unique too. It’s kinda like a tortilla…crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and folds perfectly. Very different and hard to describe, but it’s delicious.
Capone’s has quality food made to order. There was no shortage of ingredients on the pizza and they all tasted great! The mozzarella sticks were delicious with a great marinara sauce. We didn’t try any entres but I assume they are good too. The staff were also very friendly!
Order 4 pies, The Steakhouse, Capone, Garlic Chicken and one with Creamy Alfredo, spinach, mushroom and lamb. I must admit this was some of the best pizza I have eaten! They are all made of thin crust. Each one had their own unique flavors but wasn't disappointed not once! I will definitely be returning. Also we did ask for no pork but they still ended up putting it on the Capone's.
These people were inviting and didn't break the bank, great deals oven baked lasagna was fire and the red velvet cheesecake so good you wanna slap ya mama. Which they gave me on the house run don't walk to this joint Wiz
Went here on a Thursday evening. All of the staff was super nice and customer service was top tier. Nima was an awesome bartender. The food was great. We had the pizza, meatballs, salad. It also happened to be karaoke night. The bar was phnomenol. Plenty of seating and drink options. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely be back soon!
Recently took my elder parents for their first Sunday lunch at Capone’s. First we were met at the door by a wonderful server named China who made sure my folks got in ok. Food was on point as per usual but China really made the day special. Service with a smile and full attention to my folks made the experience really wonderful. I’ve been a fan of Capone’s for many years and this, lol, was the earliest I’ve ever been inside. Normally a great date night or subtle live music place for me. Thank you China.
My initial visit occurred on a Monday. Security personnel informed me that pizzas are offered at a 50% discount on Mondays and highly recommended them. This proved accurate, the pizza was indeed delicious and offered at an excellent value. I anticipate a return visit in the near future.
I have eaten both at the cozy restaurant and had these guys cater my wedding and let me tell you, dang! The food is good. True pizza lovers know that Capones takes their wood fire pizza seriously. For the catering, I truly cannot shut up about not only the delicious food but the impressive service. They brought a wood fire oven with them and served my guests fresh pizza! Their meatballs are to die for as well. All my guests have been raving that’s it’s the best food they have had at a wedding. Finally, the owner Danny. He genuinely was invested in my big day being amazing. He is a kind guy with a big heart who has a lot of talent. He was even trying to help problem solve when the DJ needed tape. Whether you are looking for dinner tonight or a caterer for an event, look no further than Capones!
First time at Santé and definitely not my last. Came in during happy hour and got to try the food and drinks. Kevin Garcia did a phenomenal job with the menu, you can tell there was a lot of thought put into the menu. The gelato was to die for! Will be coming again due to the hospitality and atmosphere.
Walking into Santé feels like stepping into another world. The décor is refined and sophisticated, with warm, low lighting that immediately sets the tone for an elegant and relaxing evening. The design of the space creates an atmosphere that’s both stylish and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out. The music was one of the highlights of the evening, carefully curated to match the mood of the place. It added life and energy without ever being overwhelming, striking the right balance between vibrant and classy. Combined with the stunning setting, it gave the whole experience a special rhythm that carried the night beautifully. And then, the drinks, each cocktail was crafted with care, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. It’s clear the bar takes pride in their mixology, offering not just beverages but experiences in a glass. Every sip was as memorable as the last. We tried the House Margarita, The Man at the Crossroads, The Merry Drinker, and a Cosmopolitan, all of them were amazing. Yet even with such an incredible setting, the true star of our evening was Paola. From the moment we arrived, she was super friendly, always with a big smile for my wife and me, and very attentive to every detail, always present without ever being intrusive. She made sure we were comfortable, checked in on us at just the right moments, and thoughtfully asked if we’d like another round of drinks before we even had to think about it. Her warmth, kindness, and professionalism transformed a great night into an extraordinary one. Santé already stands out as a destination for its atmosphere, music, and cocktails, but with Paola’s extraordinary service, the evening became truly unforgettable. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a place that combines elegance, flavor, and genuine hospitality.
Santé is definitely the hottest spot in town right now. The place is beautifully designed and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the details. The outdoor patio/terrace is a nice touch and adds to the overall vibe. The atmosphere is amazing with great crowd control, their own security team, and HPD officers on-site, which makes the place feel very safe. The service is excellent, and the music has a great mix that keeps the energy going all night. They are strict on the dress code, so make sure to dress to impress. Overall, an incredible experience and worth checking out.
Sante Bar is such a cool spot! The vibe is stylish but still really comfortable, and the design of the place looks amazing — modern and creative with a lot of nice details. The drinks were delicious and super well made, and the food was fresh and tasty. Definitely a place worth checking out!
We went to Sante Bar for brunch and had such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax on a weekend morning. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious—every plate felt thoughtfully prepared. The drinks were also excellent and paired perfectly with the brunch menu. On top of that, the staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, Sante Bar is a great brunch spot that we’ll definitely be returning to and recommending to friends!
Sante is hands down THE BEST club in Houston. It’s like our own little slice of Ibiza. Sina and Andrew were so easy to talk to and responsive in helping me arrange my birthday section and I could not have been happier with the customer service and attention to detail. Can’t recommend having your event here enough!
Let’s talk happy hour! This place is the perfect spot to grab cocktails, mini martinis and even caviar 😍 and the service? Very welcoming! Dwayne made sure our drinks stayed full and our food came on time. Just know you will pay a reservation fee of $10 pp but it goes towards your tab so no biggie. Place is a vibe and will be back.
Sante is absolutely beautiful and always has great vibes. They have a surprisingly great happy hour with $5 mini martinis and $7 craft cocktails, and half flatbreads for $10. Their flatbreads were also surprisingly delicious! We were a walk in group of 8 ladies and they accommodated us perfectly. I would highly suggest a reservation on busier nights but they do make you put down a deposit. I’ve been there 3 times now and have always been very impressed by the service and speed. Today was exceptionally great service on a slow night— the staff were so attentive and top of it, especially Leo!! Unbeatable service and atmosphere. On a slow night they don’t rush you out but on busier nights they are strict on the 2 hour time limit on the tables. Valet is free during happy hour 4-8 but if you leave past happy hour they do make you pay. The vibe changes in the evenings and weekends, and it’s more of a classy club vibe and gets pretty packed and the drinks get super expensive. Happy hour is the way to go!
Kevin’s food is amazing! Devon’s craftsmanship of the drinks is 10/10! Kevin’s presentation on food is not only incredible but delicious. Cocktails were on POINT! The gold oysters were very tasty. Even though the cheese board in my opinion needed more crackers, the board was lovely. The staff also are so friendly. I’ll def be back with my husband!
Great place to be! Whether on a date or just hanging out, it's an upscale cocktail lounge with a very nice vibe, layout and service. The moody lightning and interior dec were on point. Personally preferred sitting in the outdoor patio area (slightly more relaxed) and recommend to reserve a table (otherwise seating/table subject to availability). The inside sections of the bar and DJ had a more "packed" motif. Our server was friendly and attentive. The "fire show" was a nice touch. Live DJ was playing some nice beats. Adhering to the dress code is important. Valet parking.
This cocktail lounge brings out the best in Houston Texas cocktails. It's got Whistle Pig Rye as one of many whiskey bases. The vibe is very chill. They've got variety in their bases for their drinks. You've got Jim Beam to Four Roses based. The bartenders are calm & warm toward customers. The customer service is fast. The space is vast & intimate. It's great for dates, groups, & graduations. The prices are reasonable. The Old Fashion I had was smooth, slightly sweet, a hint of orange, & had a good amount of sweetness. They've got cardmen & saffron spices for various drinks. And they'll take good care of you. Enjoy. More pictures later.
Gave it a try after reading its good reviews. It turned out to be a decent choice for thin crusted pizza 🍕😋 👍 lasagna is so good!!!! The to-go order service was good. Certainly will come back to this laid back neighborhood joint for good foods at reasonable prices 👏👍🥰
Ok. First our server Jess was the best and what a warm and welcoming personality!!! Just loved her. The food was good but some things I wasn’t a huge fan of was the overly sweet balsamic glaze on the bruschetta. It’s overpowered everything. The chicken was super moist and with a great smoke flavor but the zucchini wasn’t cooked enough. The pizza was just fine. Nothing out of this world. Cooked nicely. Overall we had good meal and would return
Hoped for more. The "stuffed" mushroom app was not edible IMO. The mozz sticks are good (how can you screw those up). Pizza is pizza. Didn't try the pasta. Service was friendly, but not attentive. Live music was cool.
Food is good, bar and server staff great! Manager Rebecca is not the best..despite being a regular she is dry, unwelcoming, and doesn't even acknowledge you or offer any sense of customer service to guest...just would expect more from a manager who has so many regulars. Love their weekly specials quite unbelievable considering the area. Highly recommend!
First time in Sante, and it wasn’t too bad. It felt like there was limited staff so it took a little time to get some service. However, when our waiter came, he was nice and the food and drinks were a 9/10. We stayed indoors for the most part, decided to check out the outside seating area, the music was meh and it was a bit crowded so we didn’t stay much longer.
The food was delicious! The drinks are phenomenal! Ambiance was lovely.. The service started lacking during the second half of my visit and felt a little like the early 2000s club scene when it comes to the dress code. The hostess looked confused about my reservation. The patio was cute with plenty of space and open seating at that time (before 9). There was a diverse and lively crowd with a good mix of music. My only qualm was after taking 30 mins to get my next round of drinks to the table, the server and manager felt the need to rush my party for the next reservation... I got there for 8:30 it wasn't even 10:15 . I understand they had larger parties coming. I could see them moving different people around and clearly read the policy about 2.5 hours per reservation, but I was there for my birthday just like several other 80s babies. I understand it's a business, and you want to make the most out of every seat, but the second half of my experience just made me doubt if I should encourage others to come.
food and restaurant is amazing. waitress sucks i regret not getting her name. young waitress with nose ring and blonde highlights. the "hostess" wasnt any better with her vibe but i think it was actually a bartender covering for a host so thats fine. table of 8 birthday celebration and the waitress hurried off after every verbal exchange even if we werent done ordering. the place was empty on a tuesday night so where the hell is she running off to? literally just to stand at the bar on her phone. she forgot so many drinks/orders several times and brought a random lasanga that no one ordered. she let us keep it which was good but her attitude and service just sucks and i dont know if she should be waiting tables. i really want to dine again but i hope to have a better experience with the customer service.
Ordered the lasagna which tasted pretty good but the portion for $18 was super small. I feel like they gave me the much portion or something. I’m trying different restaurants lasagna right now and this was the smallest one.
I had high hopes for Capone’s Pizza Oven and Bar based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience fell far below expectations. My husband and I dined in and were surprised to find the restaurant mostly empty, which made the slow, lukewarm food even more confusing. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy on the outside but lacked the gooey cheese pull because they weren’t served hot. The crab-stuffed mushrooms were just okay but also lukewarm and lacking flavor. We ordered a house salad that was supposed to include warm d’Anjou pear and goat cheese, but neither were present. I did enjoy the candied walnuts, though. We also tried the Steakhouse pizza. While it came out hot with a perfectly crispy crust, the steak on it had a strange, unpleasant taste that ruined it for us. The other toppings were fine. My husband especially liked the fresh jalapeños, but the steak was a dealbreaker. Service was also disappointing. Our waitress seemed checked out, forgetful and disengaged. Given that we were the only ones dining in (with just a few people at the bar), there was really no excuse for the food arriving cold or for the inattentive service. My husband is willing to give it another shot, maybe sitting at the bar next time and trying a different pizza. As for me, I’m not so sure.
Sante is a spectacular bar; the decor, atmosphere, and vibe are incredible. Buut! The service is too slow, the bar definitely needs more staff, drinks took up to 30+ minutes to arrive at the table, the waitresses do their best to serve the people. The food is not good at all, it's very fast food with high prices, I really don't recommend coming to eat here. The drinks, even though they take a long time, are actually good. They have several very good cocktails that are also very well made. It's more of a vibe for coming to have a drink with friends, happy hour, but not for eating. Valet parking is almost mandatory. $10
I had seen great reviews for this restaurant so I was excited to try, but I was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a pizza (the Godfather) to go and when I opened the box I couldn’t believe that a pizza of that size and quality was $20+. The crust was like a saltine cracker and the pizza itself looked nothing like the professional photos they use to market the restaurant. You are better off going to Pizza Hut honestly. Maybe their other food is good but I don’t recommend wasting your money on pizza from here.
I arrived there with my family around 9pm on 12/30/25. Feels important to note, we are a Hispanic family of 4. The hostess sat us near the back of the restaurant, where nobody was seated. He served us ice water. We all placed our order, drinks (only soda), and an appetizer. We waited for maybe 15-20mins. Nobody came to refill our waters, and we never received our sodas. I saw other people receiving their food and getting refills on their water. One of my family members had to remind the server that we still did not have our drinks. We waited a couple more minutes and still no drinks. We grabbed our stuff and decided to leave. As we were walking out, the server was barely grabbing the 4 plastic cups. We will not be coming back.
I’m going to echo what a lot of these other reviews are saying. This club is highly exclusive and not in a good, trendy way but an openly racist and elitist way. If you don’t fit whatever “ideal look”/ image they’re going for, you’re not going in. Doesn’t matter how rich or well dressed or well mannered you are if you don’t meet the “Sante Ideal.” Bouncers also definitely let that power go to their head. If for whatever reason you REALLY want to go in this place (which honestly why would you Houston has plenty of far better, far more hospitable places with far better food at fairer prices) you can bribe your way in with a $1,000. They let my sister and brother in law in but wouldn’t let in their friends or me in, though I’ve been there before, but wouldn’t explain why. Mind you, we’ve spent plenty of money here in the past but they don’t care about building or keeping good client relations. If we wanted to allow the group in we were asked to drop $1,000 just for ENTRY. There’s nowhere I want to go bad enough that I’m willing to drop that kind of money just for the honor of being deemed good enough to enter. I don’t know if the hype went to their head or what but you’re far better off spending your money elsewhere - perhaps somewhere that cares more about good service and is more inclusive. At the end of the day, we’re in Houston not LA or Miami (hell, even high class clubs and lounges there are less exclusive or openly racist than Sante). Houston is diverse and prides itself on that diversity. You won’t get very far as a business here if you intend to only let in people who are deemed “cool” enough or the right “type” of person.
The 1 star is really for their valet service/partner. Santé plz change valet!!!! Went for happy hour on a Friday for the first time & was pleasantly met with the valet sign saying service was complimentary. When I came out & gave valet my ticket they ordered me to pay, when I questioned them about the sign they started making up lies & excuses. I ended up paying. But that definitely affected my experience. Stop false advertising.
