First off let me start by saying the view is beautiful from the patio. There were 4 of us for dinner tonight and man was it fantastic! We started off with the pork belly wraps that truly melted in my mouth. The tuna poke was fantastic and the Burrata Carbonara melted in my mouth. For dinner we shared the spicy little gems salad which was a fun twist on a Cesar salad the seared salmon and the scallops were cooked to perfection on the side we got asparagus and heirloomcooked carrots, both which came with their own sauce and was phenomenal. Jonathan our server did a wonderful job and my compliments to the chef and the back of house team.

Amazing place for dinner, I'm so glad I stopped by. I got the Piri Piri Jidori chicken recommended by David and it was perfect. Everything was so tasty and freshly prepared. They were so helpful in finding us a nice seat to view the beach since Lorea has such a pleasant view of the ocean as well. Such a great seating selection both inside and outside have a really delightful ambiance. Everything was terrific, no complaints in any way, I can't wait to come back to HB and try it again, David and the team are true professionals, make sure to hit this place up.

Loved the attention to detail when being served drinks and food. Our sever was fantastic and walked around our table when placing dishes. Frequently checking in and making sure he was able to accommodate our needs. Highly recommended when in town with a beautiful view of the ocean.

Celebrated a couple birthdays here last night. Amazing atmosphere in the patio. Everyone loved the food. Thank you Loren at the bar for a delicious espresso martini. And thank you Shelby and coworkers for a 10/10 service! Really, I can't even tell you how good the service was. Can't wait to be back.

Sunday brunch. Beautiful restaurant and patio overlooking the beach. Food was delicious. Drinks were yummy. Entertainment/music was perfect. The service was beyond generous. Quinn, was attentive, kind and welcoming. His genuine smile was nice to behold. Our server Haley was kind. She was patient and thoughtful. Great energy. Ruben made sure we were happy and that made us feel important. I’ll be back.

Went to bluegold and their service was closed down an hour before closing. We wandered into this place and was pleasantly surprised. Hostess was super nice and attentive. We were seated promptly in a warmly lit patio. Servicer wasn’t rushing us and, again, received friendly service.

We are return diners at Lorea and it never disappoints! We recently enjoyed a lovely brunch there. We had an outdoor table with an incredible view of the beach. Amanda was our server and she was terrific! She is so professional, efficient, kind, caring and friendly, really making our meal such a pleasant experience! The menu has something for everyone and our meals were delicious! We did miss the famous fresh biscuit that they used to serve in the morning and hope the new chef brings it back :-D. Beautiful restaurant with excellent food and a wonderful staff - highly recommend!

Some of the best food in OC. Ingredients are fresh and local, flavoring is unique, and everything is cooked to perfection. I had the seared scallops dish and it was delicious. Also the butterscotch pudding dessert is a must-have.

Wow—Lōrea absolutely delivered on every level during our dinner. From start to finish, the experience was exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere, the food, the service—it was all on point. Our server Jonathan was outstanding—professional, genuine, and totally dialed in. He knew the menu inside and out and helped guide us to the perfect choices. Huge shoutout to Anna, the supervisor, who stopped by to check in with us, and we even had the chance to meet Chef Scott—such a cool touch that made the night feel extra special. Let’s talk food: the Lobster Mac & Cheese is a straight-up game changer—rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. I had the fish & chips, and the potatoes were next level, covered in this addicting salt & vinegar dust that I’m still thinking about. And the cocktails? The Love Letter was incredible—so good that I made a mental note to come back and work my way through the whole drink menu (next time, when my boss isn’t with me 😄). The presentation of everything was beautiful—definitely Instagram-worthy (my stories were on fire that night). And the live music added the perfect vibe to the evening. Can’t wait to come back with my wife—it’s got “date night” written all over it. Total gem in Huntington Beach!

7/19 - at 7:30 pm. We expected more from the pictures and were sadly disappointed. The filet mignon did not taste great no flavor, was not medium and didn’t taste like legit filet. Also bought the Fresh Orecchiette Pasta. Pasta was undercooked had no flavor and sauce was gross so we ended up tossing it. On a positive note, the ice-cream was good. Looking at the other negative reviews, we won’t be going back for overpriced bland food.

Valentine Day breakfast. We were staying in the Pasea Hotel. The patio was bought out for a private party so the only choice for us to eat breakfast was at the bar. We couldn’t believe this was our only option in such a beautiful restaurant on Valentine’s Day. We sat at the bar only to sit there for a long time without even being acknowledged. So, we decided to do take out to get some breakfast. When we told the hostess, she then said we could get a table but it would be 10 minutes. We had already waited almost 1/2 an hour. We ordered our food to go and the hostess told us it would be about 15-20 minutes for our food. We grabbed some to go coffee inside Pasea and returned for our food. We waited on the side of the bar where the hostess told us to pick up our food. We saw a bag further down the bar just sitting there. After waiting for a little while we asked the bartender if that was our food. He got a waitress to check and sure enough it was our take out just sitting there. We do staycations here a couple times a year. This was not acceptable especially on Valentine’s Day and we spent a lot of money on our take out to eat in our room! Extremely disappointed!

He never smiled once, rushed us the entire time, and made us feel extremely unwelcome from the moment we sat down. All of our courses—appetizers, entrées, and even dessert—were brought out almost at the same time, which completely ruined the flow of the meal. When we thanked him, he didn’t even acknowledge us or say “you’re welcome”—he simply turned around and walked away. What made it even more uncomfortable was that there were still several tables dining, yet the staff abruptly turned the lights on and shut off the music, creating an awkward atmosphere that clearly pressured everyone to ask for the check and leave. This was honestly shocking, especially given how much we used to love this place. Sadly, after this experience, we won’t be returning. It’s time to look for a new favorite spot.

Went there for lunch. Food is passable. Price is high. They double charged my card. Would not respond to fix the problem. Disputed the charge. Would not recommend. Update: Lorea has still failed to fix this and has not refunded me. This is not a place to frequent. They are clearly not ethical or honest. They have continuously failed to respond to me.

Hands down worst dining experience we had during our weekend here in Huntington Beach. Started with the hostess saying they couldn’t sit us 5 min before our reservation time because the kitchen was backed up… Extremely slow service, took over an hour for the server to even ask to take our entree order. Appetizer that was brought out was not what was listed on the menu. The server didn’t notify us prior to the plate coming out. Asked for extra bread and it came out black, burnt toast. We were planning on eating dinner there but called it a loss after they couldn’t get a charcuterie board correct. Nonetheless that they couldn’t toast bread properly. The manager was nice and had great customer service, she apologized and comped our appetizer, server was defending himself instead of owning and acknowledging that our experience was less than.
