Opinions de LSXO Huntington Beach
Cozy little spot with GREAT views and great cocktails! The staff are friendly with great timing and great menu recommendations. I always appreciate when a server can "read" the table and provide great and attentive service without too much of an interruption. If timing is everything, this place is it! The family style menu is great with tons of options for dinner and dessert, don't leave without trying the prawns. Great spot for date night or drinks with the girls! 👑🍸🍷
Delicious gem! Was visiting for a 2-day seminar and a last minute table opened up. Everything was exquisitely prepared. The portions are significantly sized, be careful of ordering too much. Did not care for the dessert, but everything else delish!
Really tasty and nicely portioned dishes! The pho banh cuon was amazing so had to get two of them. Bun thang was very hearty and homey. Bun thom was also amazingly delicious with perfectly seasoned meats and noodles. Imperial roles were good too but a bit hard to eat. I'd rather get the pho banh cuong. Too bad they don't have the lamb noodles anymore. Overall, not the cheapest but really great food. Nice portions too. The hk milk tea was pretty atrocious tho. I don't think they know how to make the og version lol
We had a great experience and a wonderful meal at this restaurant. Very cool speakeasy type of atmosphere and great food. We will be back!
Dumplings are to die for! Everything else was also fabulous! Great sunset views as well.
The best speakeasy of Huntington Beach. This place is always a hit! We have partnered with them a number of times and each time they go above and beyond with creating an incredible experience for us and our guests. Bartending - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Atmosphere - 10/10 Service - 10/10 Price - 10/10 It's impossible to get a food picture because it is devoured the minute it hits the plate.
I'd been wanting to check this place out since it opened a few years ago, and omg, I'm so glad I saved it for a special occasion! I love that this is such a private, small, intimate setting, and you **must** make your reservation to watch the sunset. The way the huge picture window overlooks the beach, and that glorious queen palm 🌴 makes for an even more exquisite experience. I'm quite sure we had the best seat in the house! That was the best papaya salad and shaky-shaky beef I've ever had, and I cannot wait to go back to try the rest of the entire menu! Follow me on the regular @dreamtreecoaching on IG.
We had an unforgettable meal at LSXO, right on Huntington Beach. The setting is absolutely stunning — the restaurant overlooks the beach with a perfect ocean view, creating a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. We tried three different dishes and each one was outstanding: full of authentic Vietnamese flavors, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. LSXO offers not just amazing food, but also an intimate, cozy vibe that makes the whole experience even more special.
We had an amazing experience here at LSXO, from the beginning to the end was absolutely incredible. Service was great, knowledgeable staff and great suggestions, we tried escargot bone marrow, lamb dish, pork belly dish, salmon sashimi, and shaken beef dish ,papaya salad and spring rolls with some great drinks. Well done , definitely going back.
WOW! wow! wow. Soooooo good! this Vietnamese place is unlike any other I've been too. Vietnamese food with french culinary influence. it is a very intimate space, authentic feel, decor is cool. music not Vietnamese...hip hop or rap? so that stuck out. the food was just so beautiful and flavorful- umami, sweet, and spicy! I enjoyed the sake selections too. the sake perfectly paired with food. I had the dumplings and the shaky shaky beef. my friend had the friend sea bass. generous portions! I wish I lived here in SoCal...I would come back to to try more of menu. Service was great all around [wait staff, bar tender, somalier]. A great experience. If you can, get reservations! we dropped in hoping to get a spot and were able to sit at the small bar. the only drawback is the bar is very small and short. I felt a little awkward and oversized. And, the bar seats are facing away from the beautiful ocean view. however, still worth a 5 star rating. It was a great experience and I was happy to have been able to in without the reservation. looking forward to the next time.
Little restaurant hidden inside another larger restaurant. There's only 6 tables available so call in for reservations. Nice environment with great mix of music. The food is good, but on the saltier side. Service is great. They messed up on one of our orders where we said no spicy. We didn't mention it at all and the waitress later noticed herself the chef added peppers, so they made us another one. Try the sticky rice cubes.
Super private speakeasy vibe restaurant inside a restaurant. I wandered around the upper level of this shopping mall until I figured it out...lol I had the shaky shaky beef. Perfectly cooked tenderloin bites in a burnt butter soy sauce. It was served with a small dish of spices and a lime wedge that I was to squeeze the lime in to make a dipping sauce. Game changer on the dipping sauce!! The simplest ingredients make the difference between a real good meal and an out-of-this-world one. FoodSnob gives it a 9 of 10. The wobbly bar stool was -1 point.
What a gem, finally got a chance to visit, had dined at Bluegold but not LSXO. The vibe is calm and cool, serious eaters, small space and although the food is in line with Vietnamese Roots, there is a laid back Cali Cool feel. The Place has a very nice bar that hits as a focal point to let you know, Drinks here are Real Deal! The backdrop however is a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean, so nice! Onto the food! Kicked it off a Beef Tartare, very nice use of flavors that took me down new roads! Spring rolls that packed delicious pop with the sauce to dip! Servers recommended the Shaky Shaky Beef, and Yes VERY DELICIOUS!! Unsure about wether to go with a rice or noodle dish, opted for that Chicken Fat Rice with Jumbo Head on Prawns, Tender Pork Rib and bits of Chinese Sausage! Flavor Flavor Flavor, l found everything so delicious and was extremely happy with the choices! The staff is amazing and helpful which kicks up the overall! Wanting to visit either LSXO OR LITTLE SISTER, Glad l finally got a shot, can’t wait to revisit!!
Love love love everything about this place! Been coming to this spot since 2017 and everytime they never disappoint. Music is fun old school hip hop that will always get your head nodding. Top food items for me are the pork and shrimp dumplings, papaya salad and the shaky shaky beef. I am a little disappointed that they removed my favorite drink off the menu. Bring Jessica Rabbit back!!
It is my 3rd time here. Everything is perfect as usual. Came during the sun and had a good golden hour and sunset moment. The garlic hot sauce is my favorite at all time. I put it on every dishes. Appetizers Dumplings: 10/10 Spring Rolls : 8/10 Main course Shaky shaky beef : 12/10 so tender and great flavor Seabass with veggie : 8/10 good but nothing special Dessert Raspberry sorbet Ps. They asked when we called for reservation if we come for any occasion so we said birthday. And when we arrived, the host also asked if there was any celebration and we said birthday. But at the end of the meal, we didn’t get the candle? No biggie but why asked twice kinda weird. We ordered dessert and drinks anyway.
Amazing service and even better food! Every dish we tried was flavorful and memorable. If we had to find one small flaw, the pho broth could be a bit less salty, but everything else was spot on. The pork chop was a huge surprise. It served last when we were nearly full, yet we still devoured it in minutes. Definitely don’t miss the pork chop!
We made a reservation when there was an event at Blue Gold, so they weren't expecting us. I made thr rsvp the same day with only 1 slot available. They still sat us down. We felt special, it was just us on our anniversary. It was a real treat 💕I was pregnant just this September...i really loved having our own space. Glad we got to share this special time right before our son was born. We have to come back!
I had such a great experience at LXSO in Huntington Beach. From the moment I walked in, the vibe of the space was welcoming, stylish, and comfortable. The team here has clearly put thought into creating an environment that feels both elevated and approachable, which made the entire visit enjoyable from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond with their professionalism and attention to detail. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel genuinely cared for throughout my time there. It’s rare to find a place where you not only receive excellent service but also feel completely at ease in the process. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my visit. LXSO combines quality, atmosphere, and service in a way that stands out in Huntington Beach. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a spot that truly delivers a top-notch experience.
Secretive. Exclusive because it is tough to get into. Unique. Fun. Delicious. Plan ahead because LSXO is small inside. But what it lacks in stature it more than makes up for with gigantic flavor and hugely impressive presentation. Ever been to a place that won a Michelin award before? If so, you know what to expect and if not…. Get ready to set your taste buds on fire. Service is immaculate. Food choices are wisely designed and thoughtfully put together by true experts. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, tip to bottom. Looking around everyone is enthused and thrilled with everything they ordered. Truly impressive. Portion sizes are reasonable, so don’t go in there thinking you can order five or six different choices. Last note - the shaky shaky steak…. So good. So tender. Flavors just perfect. Better than most any steak house you could hope for. Not sure how they did it, but it’s so good it’s impossible to not get every time you go!
Nicely decorated place with great ocean views, delicious fresh and hot banh mi! Dinner seemed booked up and there was decent availability for lunch on the weekend.
Really good Vietnamese food, with great ambience and view of Huntington Beach. The spring roll was served with a ‘rice pudding’ type of dip, never had that before; but it was really good and complimented very well with the spring roll. Just dived into the spring roll and missed taking picture of them 🙉All the dishes we tried were yummy, yum, yum, yum … 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
LSXO truly delivered an unforgettable dining experience that exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was incredible, and the music selection was on point. If you're not a fan of rap or explicit lyrics, this may not be the place for you, but for me, it added to the edgy and unique ambiance of the restaurant. The menu was diverse and exquisite, with the spring rolls being a standout dish. The pork was exceptionally crispy, making for an incredibly satisfying bite. The tomato rice brought back fond memories of my grandmother's cooking, a testament to the authenticity and quality of the flavors at LSXO. The dumplings were another highlight, cooked to perfection with a scrumptious sauce and Chinese sausage that elevated the dish to a whole new level. While the crispy rice with fried egg was a bit adventurous for my taste, I would still recommend giving it a try if you're feeling daring. The sea bass lettuce wraps were an absolute favorite. The perfect crispy texture of the fish paired with a sauce that had just the right amount of spice made for an unforgettable dish. The cocktails were a massive highlight, offering smooth, refreshing, and creative concoctions that complemented the meal perfectly. Lastly, the service at LSXO was top-notch, with attentive and professional staff ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. I have absolutely no complaints and cannot wait to return to this Michelin-starred gem.
We were looking forward to this experience as we are fans of Little Sister and Blue & Gold. Due to the limited seating capacity, it took four weeks to get in. I’m glad to say it was worth the wait. Food was excellent. If you’re looking for Vietnamese/Asian fusion, this has to be one of the best restaurants in town. Dumplings were perfect and so were the spring egg rolls. For main course, we had the pork chop. It was cooked perfectly and large enough portion for two. For desert, try the pecan crumble. I’ve had it a few times at Blue and Gold. The server was great. She noticed that there was some shell fish in the spring rolls and because I’m allergic, grabbed the plate and had it remade for me. Very attentive to details. We will be going back again soon.
Absolutely fantastic Vietnamese restaurant. Everything tastes brilliantly, every sauce unique and excellent quality of ingredients. Interestingly, not expensive for what it offers. You need to know how to get in there, it’s hidden behind a regular American fare restaurant.
This was my second time at LSXO and just like the first time, it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. We started with the dumplings and I would suggest that to anyone going there. The sauce that came with it also went well with the rest of our food. It’s a small place so you get a very personal feel with the serving staff. I counted 6 tables plus the bar top of 4 seats. Amazing view of the beach while you dine. Overall if you looking for a nice place for a date night, look no further. Just make sure you make a reservation ahead of time.
It’s hard to top the atmosphere (small speakeasy vibe), service and fantastic food that LSXO offers. The flavors of each dish are unique but work together so well. Such an amazing meal.
It was truly a great experience dining at LSXO! We started off with cocktails, and at first I didn’t think the butterfly effect had much alcohol because it tasted sweet almost like juice, but soon after finishing it, I started feeling a buzz, so it was definitely effective. Fortunately, the food began arriving then. The tables are small, and the dishes took varying times to prepare, so they staggered them and brought out one dish at a time, but their pacing was on point. Almost immediately after finishing a dish, the servers would come by to clear the table and soon after bring out the next dish. When our plates became dirty after a course, they’d switch them out for us. Service was attentive and exceptional. Out of the 3 dishes we ordered, I liked the crispy prawns the best, but the shaken beef, which was extra tender, and the hu tieu northern style Vietnamese soup followed very closely. It was nice seeing the modernization of authentic Vietnamese dishes that didn’t incorporate elements of fusion from other cuisines. The only thing that wasn’t authentic were the desserts. We glanced at the dessert menu, but all the options were standard American fare, so we passed on that. Drinks and dinner were good enough on their own. I highly recommend reserving a table here for your next date or small group dinner!
IF YOU'RE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET A TABLE! It was amazing dinner and experience! I was very lucky to have gotten a seat at the private bar area. Place was booked solid and not crowded... Very intimate and awesome vibes. I recommend sharing and trying all the creations. Loved everything about the food, also the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
really enjoyed my experience here. pleasant atmosphere, super cozy and the staff are friendly and attentive. lots of different things on the menu - but would recommend the dry lamb skewer egg noodle and papaya salad along with the crispy shrimp!
It is no exaggeration when I say this is now my favorite restaurant. The whole ambiance of LSXO is a cozy intimate vibe with unobstructed views of the ocean. A perfect spot to fully enjoy sunset with an old school hip hop soundtrack. Now on to the best part, the food! Not a single morsel passed my lips that was not utter perfection. For drinks we has The Butterfly Effect and Hattori Hanzo. Both perfectly made. For appetizers we ordered Steak Tartare and dumplings. The dumplings were so delicious I forgot to take a picture until we were nearly done. The beef tartare was a complete surprise to me. I really was not expecting to like it given the texture but the flavor was so good I couldn’t resist. (Not pictured) We ordered the Lamb Satay which was just incredible. The noodles and lamb had what I consider a sweet curry sauce. We had to force ourselves to stop eating it and leave room for the steak. Now the 40oz Tamahawk steak is one imposing piece of meat. This was literally the reason we came to LSXO. Pictures do not do this steak justice. Please note it takes about 45 minutes to prepare so do not wait to put in your order. I guarantee you it is worth it! Every inch of this steak is tender and delicious. The menu says it feeds 2-3 people, but depending on how many appetizers or sides you order, it could feed a couple more. We finished off with the Tiramisu, an iced Vietnamese Coffee and a cappuccino. The Tiramisu was hands down the best I have had anywhere. It was so perfectly silky and not overly sweet/rich. Top all this off with a kind attentive staff and this is now my favorite restaurant.

The food was delicious, I would recommend the sweet and sour pork belly with pineapple chutney, the spring rolls, the garlic noodles and the shaky shaky beef. The cocktails are also awesome, the hattori hanzo is a lovely twist on a whiskey sour. Very friendly staff, cool speakeasy atmosphere
Delicious gem! Was visiting for a 2-day seminar and a last minute table opened up. Everything was exquisitely prepared. The portions are significantly sized, be careful of ordering too much. Did not care for the dessert, but everything else delish!
I was impressed! Great little back room-with-a-view playing a fine selection of old school rap. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is because I ordered the spicy lemongrass chicken and it was essentially wings, very messy and I was disappointed I had to use my hands but really, I'm just whining... =) Service was great and the flavors of everything we had was wonderful! Great Job LSXO!
I had a great time at LXSO. I heard it was a speakeasy but to be honest it didn't have that "hidden door" built into a bookcase or phone booth or walk in refrigerator rather it was just two doors. Once you walk in it's wonderfully decorated very upscale with beautiful views of the ocean. The drinks were pretty good, Asian inspired ingredients with artfully placed garnishes. The food was delicious! I had the Asian dry noodles sitting on top of coconut milk and pickled veggies. Truly a party in my mouth.
A hidden Michelin guide restaurant located in the Pacific City mall complex inside the Bluegold New American restaurant. I’m not sure if it’s a shared kitchen but the food is completely different and Vietnamese centric compared to the seafood and American cuisine of the main restaurant. It’s a cozy space, almost like a library, with ceiling to floor windows and views of the ocean. Portions are generous and our server said we may have ordered too many items but there are many interesting combinations on the menu. For appetizers, we loved them all and could easily stay in this area of the menu. The dumplings, bone marrow and tartare were all excellent. For the main items we opted for the short rib which was flavorful but overcooked and dry. The garlic noodles were good as a paired starch but more dense and heavy than the lighter garlic noodles I gave more often. Overall, it was a great meal. Probably should have ordered the shaking beef instead of the short rib but we’ll remember next time. Credit cards are accepted and all dining is indoor only. Reservations recommended as it’s a limited seating dining space.
LSXO is a Vietnamese restaurant inside of BlueGold restaurant on the second floor. They have an extensive menu with traditional Viet items with a twist. Food took a while to come out though. We went here for a birthday. I saw that they did birthday desserts in the past, but the waiter said they don't do that when we asked. Maybe because we went during lunch? * Shaky Shaky Beef 3.5/5 - This was the most recommended dish, but it was just okay. The beef texture was good and tender. However, the sauce was salty and Americanized. Not what you'd expect from shaken beef. The rice on the side was very good, savory, sweet, and citrusy. * Chicken & Shiitake Dumplings 5/5 - Juicy dumplings with a blend of unique flavors. They were perfectly paired with the chili sauce. The crunchy oyster mushrooms on the side were also interesting. * Red & Black Rice with Seafood 4/5 - Tasted good though very similar to a paella seafood dish on top. The spicy, gingery red and black rice underneath made the dish more special. It came with a lot of food so definitely shareable for two. * Vietnamese Coffee Tart 5/5 - This was a delicious way to end the meal. It came with a chocolate brownie base with coffee filling. There was chocolate mousse on top and condensed milk at the bottom. On the other side was vanilla ice cream and chocolate crumbles to balance out the taste.
The speakeasy restaurant inside Blue Gold at Pacific City. Michelin rated, though the food didn't live up to the rating (overly salty). Wine list is limited. Still, good Vietnamese fare, nice vibe, good service and views. Only 6 tables so reservations are a must.

The speakeasy restaurant inside Blue Gold at Pacific City. Michelin rated, though the food didn't live up to the rating (overly salty). Wine list is limited. Still, good Vietnamese fare, nice vibe, good service and views. Only 6 tables so reservations are a must.
I was excited to try LSXO for the first time, but sadly left feeling disappointed. I expected better service - offering suggestions, explaining the sauces, etc. We asked what they suggested and when we were told lobster fried rice, we added that to our order. Shame on us for not asking what the price was because we were shocked when it was $165 for an item that we had to tear apart with different utensils to get the meat of the claws and lobster. It was a mess and honestly one of our least favorite dishes. I feel like the server should have provided the price for the item when it was suggested considering all the others we ordered were $35 or under. I do not recommend ordering that if you dine there. The $165 item really ruined it for me especially since the server didn’t seem to care at all when we expressed shock. As others have said, they play hip hop with a lot of expletive language which was fine with us, but if you aren’t okay with that, I’d go elsewhere. And don’t order the lobster fried rice! Hahahhahah
this was our 6th visit and so disappointing. our service could not make recommendations and we asked someone else and she could not as well. there was confusion with our dishes and what they were. overall the experience was nothing like in the past and we will take this one off our list of great places.
Dear management, Could you please replace the bar seating? The current stools are extremely uncomfortable and not height-appropriate for the counter. The current measurement is roughly 6.5 inches. You should have at least 12 inches of knee space. Your staff has been requesting this change for over a year. Cảm ơn
Terrible Experience. Negatives: 1. Food took forever to arrive (I went there early and there only a couple occupied tables) so I was hoping it would be good because they were taking their time... disappointed. 2. Ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail (I think) and it tasted worse than those artificial carbonated drinks you get at the store or fast food place. Literally watered down with terrible glass design. 3. Staff spilled the cilantro when she brought over the salad and didn't even clean it so I just scooped it over to the empty plate. 4. Salad was overly sour and the octopus was overly salty 5. Vegetables that came with the pho was just mainly filled with chill peppers underneath and A LOT of cilantro. Good amount of onion (why red), thai basil, and bean sprouts but lacking a lot of traditional herbs. 6. Had 3 different beef cuts for the pho but there were maybe 4 slices of the raw dipping one... for that price, yikes. 7. Pho broth was so bland I poured the whole hoisin sauce bowl in and still tasted like hoisin water. Even the rice noodles were still sticking to each other like it wasn't stirred/cooked properly. 8. Was seated at the bar because I didn't have a reservation, which is fine BUT the stool was super uncomfortable (my bottom was hurting and I was sliding the whole time) and the counter/table so not spacious at all. Barely enough space for all of my food and only because nobody was beside me. No where to keep my belongings so had to leave it on the stool nearby, again, only because nobody was there. Positives: 1. Nice interior design. It has a luxury cozy vibe because of the small size and with a nice view of the beach. 2. Staff wasn't rude. Helped when asked. Not overly attentive but not bad either, except for spilling the food and not cleaning it up. 3. Bathroom looked clean. Summary: For the price and it being a nice restaurant, it was not even a decent experience. Would not come back nor recommend.
We walked in and were greeted by two hostesses. They asked if we had a reservation, and we mentioned that we didn’t. We then asked if we could still be seated since there appeared to be several open tables. However, they repeated the same question—“Do you have a reservation?”—in a tone that made us feel uncomfortable, as we had already answered. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, so we decided to leave without dining. While we can’t comment on the food or overall restaurant experience, the way the hostesses handled our visit felt unnecessarily rude and left us feeling discriminated against.
