FANTASTIC new spot! We had a group of six, so between us we experienced a good mix of appetizers, sushi, and entrees. All were absolutely delicious, high quality, and good portions. The service was friendly, welcoming, and fast. One lady, maybe the owner, took the time to ask us about our meal when we were done, and explained finer points of their process. She was proud of the way they make their Pad Thai, which includes mixing the ingredients to order, rather than in a big batch that lasts for days like many restaurants. You can really taste the difference. They had a really rough time getting started through the COVID shutdown, and they're working hard to make up for lost time and revenue - so go support this independent, local business! They deserve to thrive, and selfishly, I want them around for a long time so I can eat MORE of their delicious food!

Mahkin Thai & Sushi exceeded any and all expectations I may have had. We got the Pad See Ew with chicken and it is the best pad see ew we’ve ever had. All the sushi we got was also amazing. I definitely plan to come back here.

This place has been open for a little over a year and I finally had a chance to stop in today for lunch. The food was amazing. I loved the menu with Thai food on one side and the sushi selections on the other! We had the spicy girl roll, Las Vegas roll and the Apple trout. Everything was super yummy and the timing that it arrived at the table was perfect! The service here is fantastic, the staff are fast and friendly and have great menu recommendations. If you haven't been here yet, you should definitely stop in. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Took my wife for our first dinner as a married couple last week and we were extremely satisfied with the food and service. The sushi was very fresh and tasted amazing. They have all the basic rolls as well as some premium items. Pricing was not more than what we are used to paying but food was better quality. We ended up bringing our 2 y/o daughter's for their bday lunch a couple days later. Lunch was just as good as our dinner. I highly recommend this spot.

We ate here last night and it was amazing! We had the Gyoza Dumplings, glass noodles thai, Pad Thai, egg rolls, miso, cheese wontons, and a Spider Roll. My wife says it was her favorite Thai/Japanese Restaurant that she has ever eaten at and we eat at similar style restaurants a lot. The restaurant is located in a very active part of Huntington Beach and because it is a few doors off the main thoroughfare it's more serene. Loved it and thank you for a delicious meal!

Visited Huntington Beach area for a night and was looking for a Thai or Japanese food. Found this restaurant on Google Maps where they sell both Thai and Japanese food. The food and service were great. The staffs were friendly. We ordered grilled pork, salmon steak, pork boat noodle, and seared-salmon sushi. The pork boat noodle and the grilled pork were very tasty.

I drove all the way here LAX to eat at this particular Thai restaurant and I must say it is worth the drive! Pooky, was our server, very attentive! Gave us good recommendations of the day. The Thai boat noodle is a must try, especially if you're a fan of the Vietnamese dish "Pho" The sushi chef Nong suggested we try the toro and blue fin sushi rolls which was very delicious. Definitely stop by this place if you're in the Huntington Beach area!

Best drunken noodles! If you want to make it veg, you can get them with steamed tofu. They have a great sushi selection, and everything is served fresh. Staff is super friendly, and Jackie took great care of us.

One of my favorite (4) eateries in downtown HB. I have 4 because I like them all the same....there really is not a number one. That's good these four are. The selection is bountiful and Fresh! All servers are great and very attentive...they all pitch-in together. We try to go there at least once a week. It is worth every bit of the experience. Have not done take-out. Always dine-in and so far ...have not had to wait long for a seat. If you like fresh sushi and awesome Thai....it is def worth a visit. UPDATE: July 2025 Five of us went. One was a friends Mother from Seattle. She had Thai and we all had different sushi's. Once again, they nailed it. Never disappointing. Always enjoyable.

It is always hard to give a restaurant 5 stars for their food and service because the food could always be better/perfect and the service could always be better. So I base my rating on the overall experience including the price and location. For Huntington Beach and about $40/cover, this is easily a 5 star experience. It is very close to the beach, clean, friendly, modern and over staffed for your convenience. The food was delivered fast, it looked wonderful and tasted great. Flawless. Personally, I prefer more flavor to my Thai food, so I don't expect it to be subtle. But it was. There wasn't enough punch in the things I expect like Basil, Peanut, chili, etc. But the food was still great, personally I just wanted more of those signature that flavors. The staff were excellent, with smiles, humor, advice and attention. We were immediately seated and given a preference for where we sat. The sushi bar also looks excellent, but we didn't try it this time. We will definitely be back for that another time soon.

Yummy, yummy, yummy sushi! Great location for a quick snacky-snack in Huntington Beach just off Main Street. Highly recommend the calamari and any of their beautiful rolls. 🍣 Everything is served up by and a delightful and accommodating staff!

Very yummy noodles with chicken, and excellent service. I’m glad they put the nuts on the side. I’ll be back, and very soon! I went back a few weeks later and I had the same dish, but also the vanilla ice cream with fried bananas, which was also super yummy! I’ve never had that before! Again, wonderful, friendly service!

They just open recently 4 month ago and I was very happy to find a cool restaurant on Downtown Huntington Beach. 🗣I spoke with the owner and I was telling him, how good his food was. 👥My friend and I enjoy a lot this restaurant. Nice service as well. 🤵🏻‍♀️The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Her name is Melinda. I really enjoy engage with her. Almost the time, she was checking on us. Making sure we had what we ask. Etc… 🥗What I eat on my visit - Papaya Salad with blue crab and wild. For entree I ate coconut shrimp soup. 🍵This soup is fenomenal and very taste. They add those tiny mushrooms 🍄 white.?! 5⭐️- The soup was in my opinion the top 5 extra plus. 👴🏻My friend ate L- vegetable delight FH fancy name for CHICKEN WITH TERIYAKI SAUCE /VEGETABLE AND SALAD 😂👍🏻 🍶I drink Nigori sake unfiltered - very cloudy ☁️ Very delicious but if you don’t drive. ⚠️ The bottle was so cute I ask with after I drink if I can have the empty bottle. 🧻🚽The bathroom was very nice and clean. Just a little difficult to a extra toilet paper, but I found it inside the bathroom Cabinet. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I found myself very happy with my choices to eat. ⛔️ Let me tell you a little bit about the papaya Salad: 🥗 This salad is very unique. If you don’t like raw crab don’t ordered. The flavor is strong and spice in the same time. Very exotic salad!!! ❌Don’t risk eat this salad if you not absolutely sure you like raw blue crab. 💳How much I pay for two people: $67,88. 🚗 Parking lot - exactly on the back the restaurant has a nice one. You probably will pay between $6-$10 dollars depends how long you will stay, but the parking lot is safe and have public bathrooms 🚽 on the first floor. 🆘 NOT a Ritz Hotel but you can use if you really need 🤦🏻‍♀️

I recommend the mango green tea - it is SO GOOD! Their prices are a bit higher than other sushi places I’ve been, but considering they are right by the ocean and provide super fresh fish, it’s worth it.

My husband and I truly had an amazing time here. We were greeted with friendly smiles and energy. The restaurant is extremely clean and is styled very nicely. The owners of the restaurant definitely left a huge impression with us! They greeted themselves and made us feel so extremely welcomed we will definitely be back! We ordered the 303 and Spyder sushi rolls along with crab fried rice (they use real crab) LITERALLY the BEST crab rice I have had in a long time!!! The rolls were delicious and I seriously want to find out about that Mango green tea recipe because I’m still craving it!

The Blue Fin Tuna was amazing. All fish is fresh and you can definitely tell. The owner is supper friendly and let's you know where all the fish if from.

They have decent selection of sushi but I will not call it real good sushi. Fish was fresh, though. Their Wasabi was certainly bad, from store bought fake Wasabi. Service was very good and friendly.

The restaurant wasn't too packed, and service was quick and the servers were attentive. I got the duck curry, it was a bit too sweet for my taste with a spicy level of 6. It was also very creamy from the coconut milk, and personally for me lacked that red curry kick. I'd definitely give it another try though.

Got the Yellow Curry and chow mein and the owner came and talked to us about the dietary needs; the chef mistakenly did give us a non gluten free dish by mistake. Overall food and customer service experience is great but be cautious if you have allergies

We had Baked Salmon Roll which like the Surf City Roll are very rich and filling. Slso tried a classic Crunchy Roll which was fine, not unique but good. The Cali-Mango Roll is a little on the sweet side, which was ok because they were out of Mango/Sweet Sticky Rice by the time for dessert. We did attempt to order it early but were told that they'd have some for us but to no avail. Seems like there is a shortage ofmsngo this time of year. In my defense, it was on the Special Board, so you'd expect to not run out or erase it (photo). We shared a bottle of Plum Wine, so everyone got a taste. Bill was around $250 after everything was added up and discounted. Ambiance was a little on the noisy side but you could still have a conversation.

However, the waitress let me know that it doesn’t come with rice so I had to pay an extra three dollars to get white rice and I never like that, the rice is cheap and who wants curry with no rice whatsoever so I felt like that was an up charge. I got my order promptly and it was definitely on the small side, if you don’t have a big appetite, it would be enough for you, but it kind of left me wanting more. However, the quality of it was very good and it was extremely tasty. I would’ve given it five stars if they didn’t charge the extra three bucks for the rice on the side bc I did enjoy the food

The food is ok taste. Everything is an add on $ even when a dish is $18+ and you want broccoli instead of some other veggie nope they will put fillers like onions and celery. Portions are lunch portion for some dishes and pad ke mao looked huge but actually had a bunch of left over salad like green lettuce in it? They took forever to bring a second rice bc the rice portion with the curry is tiny then the curry became cold. Ok and here is the kicker we ended up seeing a friend and were saying hi and sat next to them so they charged 20% gratuity. Our bills and orders were separate, food came out separate ?? Tips should be on discretion and this charge is getting out of control. Nothing was even served together on our table. Makes no sense so we won't go again. Sorry you lost business from 5 families that live in HB - me and all my friends and family.

Based on reviews we choose this place, however not what we expected. The tempura appetizer was brocoli, asparagus and carrots. Was expecting bigger and more choices as most tempera is. The sushi was okay but for the price the shrimp should've been noticeable with all 6 pieces. The hawaiian fried rice was a 3/5. Would choose another place if we could.
