Great value, great food, great service. Have been to all of the other fancy (and typically overpriced) options in the area, and it’s nice to have a casual sushi place like Taka which has proven consistent over the years. Love stopping in after a walk with the dog and eating outside. Don’t listen to the negative reviews.

Wonderful sushi place run by wonderful people. The quality is very consistent and the variety is welcome. Recommend the fresh wasabi, protein roll, and the Salmon Kama. It’s a bit pricey but that’s the price you pay for good quality. The best deal is definitely the Taka Plate.

I'm genuinely confused by the bad reviews, maybe people just have high standards or this place has a bad employee I didn't encounter. But the woman (I think may have been the owner) helping us was amazing and extremely kind, probably some of the best service I've ever encountered. She was literally running across the restaurant to be as efficient as possible, even the guy behind us made a comment about how it was the fastest he ever gotten his food. The sushi itself was also extremely fresh, and I myself am pretty picky about fish quality as I've had a lot of good and bad fish.

I went to sushi take when I was visiting my sisters and staying at the ac hotel across the street. We wanted sushi on a Friday night so we walked over and were seated right away. No line or wait time. Waitress was patient and gave us time to look over the menu. I ended up getting a spicy salmon type of roll, and my sister got the mango roll which she really enjoyed. That combination was really unique and I’ve rarely seen fruit in any of my sushi rolls. Great service and great sushi! Will be back for sure. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I had to have gluten free so she brought me the gluten free soy sauce. OH! They have a really rad happy hour that goes everyday and honors 15% off of your rolls, killer deal!

Spider roll here was incredible, along with the seaweed salad. Really enjoyable food. I definitely would go back to this location, especially to try out more of their rolls.

The sushi they have in the cafeteria at the hospital I work at is better than this stuff. I’d give them 2 stars for the quality of the food but an extra star because they understand gluten free and have tamari sauce. My son with celiac was able to eat the sushi without incident. Their imitation crab is gluten free, although they use way too much of it in their rolls.

On Doordash they put Promotion of buy one get one free, but raised the price to double

One of the "stingiest" sushi restaurant i have ever visited. i ordered to go and asked for small soy sauce "Styrofoam cup" to dip my sushi in (worth 3 cents cost) and they told me this was the last time they will give me a cup. They also get upset if you ask for packet of soy sauce. I told the manager this was the last time i will visit his restaurant. they are very stingy. i invite you to try them and experience their stinginess first hand.. poor service-

We’ve ordered from this location over 75-100 times! We’ve never had a reason to interact with their staff until today, when we had an issue with our order. We wanted to make a change to the roll we ordered and we were told there was nothing they could do for us given they had already started preparing our order… what? All we wanted to do was add an item on. We pushed it further and said surly there’s something we can do, so she “spoke to the chef” who basically said no. So long story short, I hope one day they realize that loyal customers are worth way more than what a simple customer service gesture would have cost them.

However, last night, a waitress informed me that the chef no longer allows phone orders. Instead of waiting 20 minutes to place my order in person, I would much prefer the option to call ahead, as I have done in the past. Additionally, I have noticed a significant issue with portion sizes when ordering through DoorDash. Each order consistently arrives with only four small pieces, yet two small orders cost $51. In comparison, other sushi restaurants provide 8 to 10 pieces per order at half the cost. This discrepancy in pricing and portion size is disappointing and has led me to reconsider my patronage. Unfortunately, due to these recent changes, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I wanted to bring this to your attention in case you were unaware of these concerns.
