Great food and staff

This was 1 of my family's fave places to hang out years ago but over time we have all moved away. I was back in town to help out a friend & brought her here for lunch. I was very happy to see they haven't changed the food & service is still great & I love the atmosphere!! My friend had a good time too. 👍👍👍👍

It has been a while since I been here but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was on point. Had all the traditional dishes like orange chicken, coconut chicken, cheese Rangoon, and fried rice. They have much much more but the jalapeño chicken was my favorite. It wasn't too hot but definitely had some welcomed spice to it. I can't forget to mention the Mongolian grill!!!

Gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Went at lunch time. Food was fresh, restaurant was nice and clean, and staff was nice. I listed 5 stars, because I couldn't do 4.5. Could've used more non-chicken (I'm allergic) items... But definitely better than most others.

The sushi bar is worth the entire price of the buffet! Fresh, tasty & a HUGE variety! The hot and cold lines were equally fabulous; I ate more here rhan I did on Thanksgiving!! I was so full on sushi and mushroom/beef that I didn't even try the Mongolian grill! This is one of the best buffets I've eaten at in a long time; you should try it! And oh...not sure why that other reviewer is such a hater...restrooms are VERY clean!!

I did start a diet this week and kept it in this place despite all the carbs my family was loading on their plates, I only picked my veggies and protein and it was filling, not to mention the salad bar always packs a fresh salad, if all the tomatoes are gone it's because I took them.

I have to make note of the Mongolian grill and the ribs. The ribs are the best that I've had at a buffet in the Metroplex. The food is always fresh, and the variety is amazing. My kids are picky eaters and they cleaned their plates. Each course is really good, from soups and salad, appetizers, sushi, entrees, to the desserts, nothing missed it's mark. They even have chicken nuggets and pizza for the extremely picky eaters.

I am salt sensitive and cant add salt to my food. I appreciate the fact that they have a mongolian grill , with fresh unseasoned food. I can have the food seasoned the way i want it.

Clean place with above average quality food and good price. The menudo is the must try to my opinion. Definitely a place I would love to visit again.

The FISH SOUP is off the hook 😋. I would eat here again. Frankly, I would go out of my way to eat here. Be careful 'fish soup' lovers. It might become your obsession. Our entire meal was memorable. Flavor profiles abound....

I've been coming to this place for over 15 years. It's the best buffet in the DFW area here period! I've only seen one roach and that was in the early 2000s. But they have upgraded The joint quite a bit so I'm willing to forget I even saw the roach. The restrooms have always been a bit on the dirty side but like I said they've upgraded and I dig the bamboo stalls. I love the Mongolian grill. They let you mix the sauces and vegetables and meat unlike other places that are so strict with the grill rules. You don't have to take a number you just wait for the bell to ding. Please tip your cook they are hard workers. This will always be my go-to place I live in Terrell so I have to drive an hour and it's totally worth it. I love East Buffet and God bless the USA.

Always enjoy coming for either late lunch or early dinner. Food is often being refreshed for the evening and can some items can be a little cold - not usually for long. The Mongolian grill is always great with a reasonable selection of food. Good value.

It's been years since we dined 🍽 in any buffets, but this one was so close to an airport, and we decided to give a try. I was amazed by selection of food and especially how well everything tasted! The food kept very organized and clean, very presentable. The service was great also! Definitely a 5 star place! 👏 🏆 ❤️ 🍣 🍵 🍦 🍖 🥗 🍊 🍌

I’ve never been big on Chinese buffets but East Buffet was delicious. We went there on Mother’s Day after going to Plymouth Park Baptist with my mom, mother-in-law, and my girls. I was super impressed!

You know the drill, you know the taste. Traditional Americanized Chinese food buffet. I usually leave reviews even if the food is so so, because typically if I had good service is what makes me write it in the first place. This is delicious food for being made buffet style. It's also economical the lunch buffet during the week was. $13.99 just check with restaurant to be sure. My personal favorite is the coconut shrimp with lo mein. The waitress constantly checked my table and removed plates Everytime I got up. Really kept my table clean. I like this place because even if it gets busy it's still quiet around you. They have a Mongolian grill and sushi bar in addition to the main buffet.

I got some food for my son who loves Chinese food I was in and out within 10 minutes. I got ours to go. The ladies were very nice there and asked if I needed anything else. I would definitely go back there again.

The food was hot, it was edible, and the service was great. What made this place special was the cheese puffs, hot cheetos and doritos which had their own space. This was a snackers paradise. Definitely a first for my eyes.

For a buffet restaurant, this place is a gem. The food is tasty, and we'll prepped. The rice and lomein were tasty as well. The fruits and desserts were fresh and looked inviting. As far as the grill (Mongolian style), the ingredients were fresh, and the area was well kept. Clean. And the cook was speedy in taking care of the customer. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant. The staff were friendly. And the food was tasty. Loss of 1 star due to the occasional fruit fly that would try and dive bomb at my face.

Its all buffet style, but they have lots of options. There is even a sushi bar and a cook to order section. The food is usually very good and fresh, but there has been a time or two where it was not great and just so-so. The price is a little high, in my opinion, and has gone up quite a bit over the years. Two people were eating, and the total was $40. I have been here many times over the years, and honestly, the price is usually the only downside.

This is not an usual chinese buffet as the food is tasty. The fried shrimps are so fresh you can taste it The only drawback is that the table kind of tacky, need to be cleaned more.

My Filipina wife loves the seafood. They had crab legs and several kinds of shrimp for lunch on Saturday.

This is the place to go if you are REALLY hungry. The food is okay, usually fresh, and there's a good variety. The parking lot needs a proper resurfacing. You are immediately addressed when you enter and seated. Your glass is kept full; they are attentive. The tables are sticky even when cleaned; this is what I disliked most. The price is a little high for my pocketbook, but it wont break you. I wasn't hungry when I left, and the experience was mostly positive.

This location has a veritable smorgasbord of items on their buffet. They did not have the one item I wished… Korean style barbecue ribs. The items on the buffet appeared to be fresh. The smell of fish was lingering in the air heavily though. There were also a few items miss-labeled on the buffet line

Mongolian grill was good but tasted of burnt grill a little bit. Ok, I tried the East Buffet again for lunch today. I ate off of the hot tables rather than the grill and it was disappointing. I have no idea how food from a steam table can be served cold, but the best I got was room temperature on the three different sections I tried. And the green beans tasted like they were cooked in a soapy pan. I love Chinese food and travel for work, so I try a lot of different restaurants. This one is at the bottom of my list from now on

Drove across town (from Balch Springs to Irving) to visit this place for the 2nd time because I love their seafood (crabs, shrimp & crawfish)...it's so tasty, not spicy, but nicely seasoned. They don't have General Tso chicken, which is a disappointment, but their orange chicken is comparable. *side note...they had the brightest green beans I've ever seen. Next time I'll do a better job of preparing my plate for presentation

This was my first Chinese/mongolian buffet experience. The foods tasted good, they were warm throughout the time. The server we met there was a Nepali girl who was kind enough and helped us throughout the process. The seafood collection, deserts, everything tasted nice. For the price point it’s worth it. Only downfall is I didn’t like the vibes of the buffet at all. Seemed like it was in very much need of a new decor or new designing. The place itself was not as appealing.

This buffet was one of the better ones I've tried here n Dallas. I could see myself visiting again. I really liked the mongolian grill setup. Hopefully, the next visit will have more variety of food and better choices of sushi.

I will immediately write that my opinion is based on a comparison of a Chinese buffet in Brooklyn, New York. Pros: clean enough. The affordable price is $20. There is no need to stand in line. Fast service. Waiters take away dirty dishes in a timely manner Cons: no crabs, clams, melon and green melon are unsweetened, the choice of rolls is small, there is no sushi, pizza has not been updated for an hour, only chicken, boiled beef and fried bacon are cooked from meat. Conclusion: if you miss the buffet, and you have a long way to go to Brooklyn, then you can go to this place. If you want to try different seafood in large quantities, then you should not come here.

If this isn’t said than I will be the first to say it, best rice out of all buffet’s around in Irving, really nice people and very quite place, I really dislike they handed out plastic plates instead of very sturdy ones, have a cook that will prepare what you like and I never seen that before, crazy what this places holds their ice cream is delicious so if you looking to spend time with family at a decent place come here! Saw this place near a Best Buy where I needed some equipment for a job. It was about lunch time, so I dined in. Not bad food. Definitely not leaving hungry! The service was great as the servers were very attentive. I'd say my favorite combo was the honey chicken and lo mein.

It was my first time coming to this establishment for my goddaughter's bday with the family. It was kinda empty last night. I only saw probably 2 tables occupied, plus our table. We got a table and the waitress came to take our drinks. The food wasn't all that. I thought they'd have good choices but nooo. It was hard to pick out some good food for my little kids since they were picky. My husband didn't like the buffet cause it didn't offer anything like other buffets we been to. In the dining room, it was so cold with 60s degree weather outside. $16.99 buffet. I noticed the tip was added to the receipt without my consent. The waitress wasn't really attentive, except she'd finally come around to pick up the plates and ask for drinks. I mean, a while to do that. Smh Then the food landed me in the bathroom all night. Have some good employees cook with better energy. When someone isn't happy doing the job, it shows a lot in food.

It's a buffet. Meaning timing is everything when it comes to hot foods. However the boiled shrimps are consistently really large and clean and one could easily get their money's worth just on shrimp. Also had sushi and Mongolian grill should that be your choice.

When I walked, there were about 3 women sitting at a table cutting fresh green beans, definitely a healthy code violation. It was plentiful, but it was lukewarm. It used to be a great place to eat but now.

$17 for lunch on the weekends. A bit pricy for the quality of the food served. Interior is dated and not well lit, and the tables were sticky. The servers were polite, but the plates didn't get cleared nearly as fast as they should have been. On the positive side, the grilled chicken and soft serve ice cream were outstanding.

For the price, it’s hard to complain. You get what you paid for. If I can give a 3.5 instead of 3 I would. The food was lukewarm the day we ate so had to bump it down to 3 instead of 4.

The food was decent for late afternoon. We stopped by after 6 and it was slow and tons of options. The price was a bit outrageous for the quality and building in general. The ceiling had water leak damage, dust all over the ceiling tiles around air returns and the floor felt like they mopped with grease. Just because it’s a buffet doesn’t mean you shouldn’t clean or have a higher standard. Management should look into updating these issues when charging $17 a person for a “dinner”.

This restaurant's food had me lacking on a lot of levels. The batter for most of the fried foods was tough. The ice cream tasted soapy. The only good items were the butterfly shrimp, the fried chicken wings, and the hibachi grill.

It was your typical buffet type set up, and the restaurant was clean. The food was not good, though. No flavor for the most part, then the items that did have flavor tasted so "off" I couldn't finish eating it. We used to come to this buffet years ago, when we first moved here, but stopped and couldn't remember why. Well, we were reminded. Something changed. To each his own, but not for us.

First let me start by saying, our waitress was great, she was very attentively to all her tables. No one lacked anything. Now! what I didn't like was the food, most of it was bland. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but mushy within. To many kids playing with the food, some parents totally ignoring the sign that says, "Do not let kids.... The men restroom was a mess, let's just say "regurgitation." Also there was a small piece of metal in my broccoli, thankfully I spotted it before I chomped down on it. I told the waitress, she did her job, by telling, the person in charge. Well! they never came to our table to apologize, the waitress gave us a free drink. But the manager never came to apologize. The waitress felt bad. I will not go back, because, I'm not a fan of bland food. However the metal piece, and the inconsiderable person in charge, really did it for me. I still enjoyed my mom, it was her day. She was upset as well. Again the waitress was great. Don't make a decision because on me, to not go. That was my experience. Yours might be different. I love supporting businesses, until they stop caring about the consumers. God Bless

The food was not as fresh as when we had been there before. Have eaten at this restaurant across several years. Not a lot of times per year as we do not live in Dallas. We were bragging to our friends with us how great and fresh the food was. This trip the food was not really fresh. Service was good and they played the same song on sound system about 5 times in a row until we asked them if there was another song. Don’t think we will return on our next trip to Dallas.

The food is ok, it will fill you up, the rice is always hard, been here many times cant seem to get fresh rice. The sweet and sour is very watered down. I saw a couple of roaches at the entrance smashed on the carpet but I kept going inside because I was hungry. I kept imagining the roaches in the food. I wouldn't eat anything here in the future. There was one good thing thou, the small Mexican guy who gave us our drinks was very nice.

We dined in at lunch. The tea glass served to me was filthy. It had crusted stuff in and around the top. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a photo. But the soy sauce container was much worse and I did think to take a photo of it. I didn't think I was going to find a clean spoon at the buffet bar. The cocanut shrimp was not edible, it was too chewy. All in all, it was horrible!!

I found a hair on my plate and it looks so suspicious because it doesn’t look it came out of someone head this is very gross and they were still trying to we pay for it and the manager or any worker try to anything about it.and yes we walk out because they didn’t even bother to do Nothing about they main two cashier were laughing and the Conner and nobody came to apologize or do something about it

TERRIBLE, not what it used to be. Service was bad. Not once did they ask if we'd like a drink refill. Pasta was overcooked, pale, absolutely no taste, not even the kids liked it (it's their favorite). Rice was not good. The only few things that I found good were dumplings, shrimp, broccoli. They also have cheetos puffs, hot cheetos and doritos in the cookie section now... they must've ran out of ideas? Kids only had ice cream. I wasted $68. Definitely not going back

Ill give this place a 1. The chow mein was over cooked and no flavor, the rice also had no flavor. The sushi tasted old. The fries and fried chicken wings were cold and bland, the honey chicken didnt even taste like honey nor did it look like honey chicken, the coffee cake was delicious.. the ice cream taste like water. The orange chicken was the only good food there. The waitresses were nice and kind, but the food was not all that for $16.99 a person on lunch hours no thanks..

I’m honestly shocked by how overpriced this place is. I went with my 12-year-old son — just the two of us — and got charged over $45. For what? A basic buffet with average food and nothing special about the experience. I don’t mind paying for good food and service, but this felt like a complete rip-off. No clear price explanation, and no justification for that total. There are much better buffets out there that charge fair prices and offer better quality. This was disappointing and frustrating. Never coming back, and definitely not recommending it to anyone.

I wish that I could give a more accurate review. However my brother and I pulled up to have lunch it was 3:25 p.m. to check it out since this was our first time here. The lady at the front told him that dinner starts at 3:30 he said no problem I just want to look around and I'll get my sister out the car she said okay cool he looked around and said it was good came to get me we walked in at 3:29 p.m. and they told him that the dinner cost what's now in effect and they could not charge the lunch prices. Had the lady not told him that it was okay it would have made a difference and how everything went down. Needless to say we did not eat we did not stay. And to be honest it's not about the cost it's about the fact that you said it was okay and then decided to change your mind. Very poor customer service

On sep 9th i went to east buffet and i found a piece a plastic in my crab which i nearly choked on after showing this to the server she said it was normal and then she called the manager over and she also said it was normal . i find it odd it should be normal for a business to let you know or bring to your attention that you might find plastic in your food cause they did not warn me of this whatsoever and i nearly choked on the piece of plastic . DO NOT EAT HERE !!!

We have been going to this buffet for years, even after moving almost 40 minutes away we would go ever so often. Not anymore after our recent visit last Saturday, food was not it. Everything was hard to chew on, the taste was off and not a lot of selection. The only good things were the steamed rice and chicken on a stick. Save your money and go elsewhere. The food is not what it used to be, it didn’t seem or taste like it was fresh.
