Desi District is truly one of the best places to enjoy fresh, flavorful Desi food. Every dish is prepared with great attention to taste and quality. The spices are perfectly balanced, the portions are generous, and the presentation is always appealing. You can tell the food is made with authenticity and care—rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and the right amount of seasoning in every bite. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm, modern, and welcoming, making it a great place for families, friends, or even a quick bite. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive, which makes the whole dining experience even better. Whether you’re craving snacks, full meals, or something unique from Desi cuisine, this place never disappoints. Overall, Desi District offers amazing food, great service, and a wonderful vibe. Definitely a go-to spot for anyone who loves delicious Desi flavors. Highly recommended!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Indian restaurant with really delicious food. The flavors are authentic, rich, and well-balanced. Everything we tried was fresh and perfectly cooked, especially the curries and naan. The spices were just right, not overpowering. Service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Definitely a great place if you’re craving tasty Indian food. Highly recommend!
I am surprised with the reviews, but I thought this place was spot on, especially with their Mutton Juicy Mandi. The Mandi was truly amazing and the best we have had so far. Dosa was a little thick, but the rest of the food was spot on, and I will go back again for sure. Medu Vada and Puff were exceptional, too. The filter coffee was also delicious. Don't let reviews fool you as I think they deserve a try with the plenty amount of options they have.
If you're craving some authentic mandi in town, Café India is definitely a must-visit spot! I tried both the Paneer Mandi and Mutton Mandi, and they were absolutely worth it. The paneer was soft, wel…
Had the goat and fried chicken Mandi, my regular spot for the Desi mandi. With great ambiance.
The best indian food in DFW. Really can't go wrong with anything you order here. If it was closer, I'd probably be going here every couple weeks
Food was good, service was fast. We definitely go back, best of all we didn't have to wait long for our food considered how busy they were that night.

Can you add butter milk as an option for coffee/tea? Because both coffee and tea has sugar content (or provide sugarless coffee/tea )I would recommend you to add buttermilk as one of the option - Please consider this as most of them want to avoid sugars. Thanks for considering Please consider adding buttermilk as an option which has been awaiting for most of our team that often visit for a tea break
We recently visited Desi District and had a lovely experience! We started with the dahi puri, which was fresh, tangy, and full of flavor. The paneer kathi roll was the only letdown—it tasted frozen and didn’t feel as fresh as the other items. But things definitely picked up from there! The manchurian was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the schezwan noodles were absolutely amazing—spicy, savory, and so satisfying. For dessert, we indulged in rabdi, gulab jamun, black forest pastry, and paan—each one was better than the last! Everything was rich, fresh, and delicious. We especially loved the desserts and noodles—definitely coming back for those!
If you want the taste of Indian street food within the confines of a restaurant, this place is the right one. The feel inside is very much like that of a very busy Indian restaurant in busy towns in India. Very casual ambiance. It’s order up front, pay, and pick up when ready. Fully self serve. There’s an array of North and South Indian items along with Indo-Chinese fusion offerings. Portions are large and price is very reasonable.
Service was quick, food was partially rotten , bad attitude of management when told about serving food that was old and stale .\nSeems like the place is going downhill .

Good food. Great service. Would not recommend the pani-puri here. They are not very good.

Here, I ate only samosas and Tea they are good. Samosas has two different varieties and tea also had two varieties,The tea can drink by tasting little bit which one do you liked. I ate these two they are good. Parking space is available, Washroom are available, seating is available. Atmosphere: Casual, modern, and urban with a self-serve system.
The menu is huge of selection, however without photos it is hard to imagine what you get. We got couple things, and the winners go to garlic naan, one of the best I have in town. Everything else is good, I hope the taco using garlic naan as well. They were super busy, and felt really hot inside. Fun places to try different things with group of people.

Ordered Goat Nalli Gosht Biryani which they charge $20 — totally fine pricing, assuming the goat isn’t eligible for a retirement pension. The nalli piece was extremely chewy, had a strong smell, and tasted like it came from a goat that lived a long, fulfilled 100-year life. When I mentioned it politely, I was told, quite confidently, “It’s like this only.” Fair enough — expectations clarified. As someone who genuinely understands and enjoys good food and good mutton, this was disappointing. Also ordered chicken mandi which was very mediocre and the chicken lollipop was over fried and became chewy. When complained was responded with a standard answer, basically no answer. The experience was further… validated when I visited the restroom. Dirty toilet seat, clearly not cleaned, and sadly this seems to be a recurring theme here. Hygiene shouldn’t be optional, especially in a food establishment. Ironically, the coffee is actually very good — which proves that when care is taken, quality is possible. Hopefully the same attention can someday be extended to the food quality and the restroom.
I have been here many many times from the day that it opened. My go to dish is no longer on the menu (tosa) so I tried my second go to item on the menu (veg cheese burger) as well as a new item that I have not tried before (paneer Kathi roll). Unfortunately, all of the items that I had were pretty much flavorless. Except for the paneer in the Kathi roll, and sadly, I could only eat the filling because the outside roti was raw. On the burger, there was absolutely no flavor, even though there was sauce. I added ketchup and spices when I got home to make it edible. Even the bean salad that it came with, was bland and had a flavor of only black pepper. This was a Friday evening 8 PM to go order. It was not very busy as I walked right up and was able to get my to go order within 20 minutes. I also came here a few months ago and had the butter chicken, chicken biryani, and garlic naan. None of the food had any memorable flavors, unfortunately. I’m sad to say that with the consistent flavorless food over multiple times with plenty of time in, this place will now be off of my list of places to go.
Worst Restaurant Ever pani puri water is just a bottle water with color no flavor or Taste, Momos are worthless so Disappointing, Never Gonna visit this place again...
Bad customer service, i order only one coffee snd i have been waited for 30 mins when i tried to call someone to ask, they went like they didn't see me. Please improve your service.

No option for zero stars. Frustrating experience ordered Paneer received non vegetarian item. Irresponsible and poor customer service. Will never ever order from here again. Vegetarian folks think twice before ordering from here. Have ordered from so many places never got this kind of poor service. Make sure to check before eating what you get
I visited Desi District for breakfast. The price for the breakfast combo is reasonable, but the quality was disappointing. The bonda and vada were half-cooked, and the sweet did not taste fresh, like it was from the previous day. Even the dosa was not cooked properly. I came all the way from Frisco and had a very poor experience.
Desi District is honestly an overhyped place. I tried the Juicy Chicken Mandi, which everyone recommends, but it was pretty average and didn’t live up to the hype. The desserts were disappointing too and didn’t taste good at all. Overall, the place gets a lot of attention online, but the food doesn’t really match the expectations. Probably wouldn’t go back.
I cant imagine the length of the audacity these guys have. I placed an order through phone for two taco orders each order having 2 tacos. When i picked up the order and came home i only got 1 full order. Immediately called the store and the response i got was Come to store and pick up the other order. Wow!! Wonderful Despite mentioning the fact that i live 20 mins away, the agent told me Take your time and come to store to collect the order. Again, whose mistake is it? Wonderful, i will make sure i wont be visiting the store ever again. I will also make sure this review is not going without notice.
It shows Buy1 get 1 for chicken pulav while placing an order but I ended up getting only one , is this a fake offer just to attract the customers? Or it got misplaced? And even the person who delivered the food , the person whom I got assigned completely mismatch , don’t you check check their ids while giving the food? Never had such a worst experience in any store before. Looks scary!!
Arrived in Dallas for first time and ordered to go and was excited to try Indian food as I had heard highly of the taste in Dallas. Trying food at this place was an instant disappointment. The masala is overwhelming, in aloo tikki chaat, the amount of “khada” spices that came in my mouth was lowkey unacceptable, mind you ..Im an Indian myself and I cook decently, I dont approve this. The channa had overly tangy tamarind flavor - inedible extent, I was trying eat outta hunger by neat picking the channa/chick peas outta gravy … The rumali roti was good but then the malai kofta.. was overwhelming gravy with weird kofta balls..absolutely no malai found. Thanks no thanks for killing my enthusiasm! Last but not the least, very poorly packaged with curry floating all around.I cried inside.
If you’re considering dining at Desi District at 6451 Riverside Dr #100, Irving, TX 75039, save your time and money. While the interior is impressive, the food is consistently disappointing—like Texas weather: occasionally good but mostly terrible. The pricing is absurd for the quality they provide. Think roadside cart quality at upscale restaurant prices. Not kid-friendly either, with no special menu for kids. Here’s what I ordered: 1. Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani: For $18, I got rice with two tiny chicken pieces. Taste was nowhere close to authentic Hyderabadi biryani. 2/10. 2. Goat Meat Mandi: For over $20, I got a big bone with hardly any meat, and what little meat there was, felt like chewing rubber. 1/10. 3. Malai Bun: Growing up in Mumbai, I know how this dish should taste, and this wasn’t it. It was just sweetened condensed milk stuffed into bread with an overload of sugar. Zero malai, zero authenticity. 0/10. After-sale experience: When I complained, the staff was dismissive. They reluctantly replaced the biryani but served the same poor-quality dish. No smiles, no apologies—just weird looks. My opinion: This place is only good for tea or fried snacks if you’re desperate for a crowded Indian café vibe. Otherwise, skip it. Overpriced food, indifferent staff, and poor service. Management needs to learn the standards of quality and customer service in the U.S. A visit from the health department wouldn’t hurt either. Big NO for food.
Never going again. Half of the items on the menu were not available which we were told after placing the order and paying it. Horrible taste. Chicken lollipops was the only dish that was decent but was without any sauce it was just fried chicken. Worst Mandi and worst lassi I have had in my life. The smell for the spices is so strong in there that it is really hard to sit in for a long time. I don’t know how this place had so many people in there..
