Fish &Gin is probably the best-in-class in Isla for fish! I was pleasantly amazed by the quality of each choice. In particular I advise: catch-of-the-day (wonderfully presented), jumbo shrimps, lobster, tuna-rice, guacamole. Then, of course, Gin. I tried many variations and all were excellent. Give a try! Prices reasonable.
Just off the Main Street. So much more authentic. Personal friendly service- no earpieces or iPads. Food was excellent- fresh tasty. Drinks were awesome- great choice well made and with a kick. Highly recommend
They serve the best gin drinks we have ever had.Gin sour is one of my favorite drink. Friendly service and the most delicious fish dishes. Catch of the day is always available, and live music most of the time
We loved this place. Went there twice. My 7 year old loved the tuna tostada. I could not believe she was eating raw fish. She gobbled up her tostada. We enjoyed the gin cocktails . So so good. We will definitely return !
A great place to sit and enjoy the live music while drinking a unique, delicious and booze forward cocktail. Great vibes, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend to everyone who loves a great time.
Fresh Seafood, Bold Flavors, and Exceptional Hospitality. FIsh & Gin completely impressed us from start to finish. The seafood soup arrived both temperature-hot and spicy-hot, packed with rich flavor that set the tone for the rest of the meal. Robin, our server, recommended the catch of the day—grouper—and it was easily the best white fish I’ve had on the island: thick, flaky, and perfectly prepared. Chef Guillermo truly deserves recognition for his skill. Happy hour was another standout with 2-for-1 margaritas (common) and 2-for-1 gin and tonics (definitely not common!). Everything about this visit was outstanding. An absolute must-stop.
Order the octopus tostada! Best thing on the menu. The gin and salty dill cocktail was amazing as well! So fresh and delicious.

Loved tgatjppace so much, that we actually went back the next night. Started out with a couple margarita - the best we had during our short weekend. Guacamole is well seasoned with their house black pepper - not to be missed. Octopus was well cooked and tender. Ordered the whole catch of the day and grouper was extremely fresh- it was however not a whole grouper, but a filet. Make sure to ask. My only complaint would that it was served with corn drinching in plain melted butter. I asked for some spicy salsa, and theits us very good.. Tuna steak was seared perfection with grilled vegetables. Service was attentive and very nice. Place is small and cozy. A must try.
A hidden gem discovered too late, yet the perfect finale to our vacation. If only I had found this place on day one! The cocktail menu was a masterpiece—crafted with intention and far surpassing any overpriced bars or lounges I’ve visited in Mexico City. Each sip felt like poetry in a glass. The fish and ceviche? Fresh, harmonious, and vibrant with flavor. A culinary rhythm so perfect, I could dine here every day.
Kind of my favorite place on the island. Came for happy hour and loved the vibes. Staff was super chill and not at all pushy.
If you want great seafood they have the best ceviche on this island, it’s away from the Main Street, they offer great service and food to match. Highly recommend you walk the extra block or two, you will not be disappointed. The seafood tower was just amazingly good!!
The Fish and Gin ceviche is highly recommended. It’s in an unusual delicious mixed sauce, not just lime juice, and has thin slivers of red pepper and mango plus avocado which really enhance the seafood. There is raw tuna, octopus and shrimp, and it’s served with traditional tortilla chips. A good portion, completely filling. The waitstaff were very attentive.
Was only on Isla Mujeres two nights and came back on the second for more cocktails and to try the food here! The cocktails are incredible! I love sours and have had them all over Mexico and the US, and the sour here just absolutely slays. Amazing mouthfeel, well balanced, and something I would have had more of if they didn't get me drunk so fast. They also made some delicious dirty martinis with some recommended dry gin! Yummm!!

Our favorite spot for fresh fish and cocktails. The lobster, which is butter-torched table side, melts in your mouth. The Grouper (catch of the day) was also delicate and full of flavor. The cocktail list, obviously heavy on the gin options, is a fantastic selection of spirits and has a good selection of NA choices. Robin and Cesar are especially wonderful.
My wife and I enjoyed drinks and an appetizer here. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. They had a great gin selection with gins from all around the world. We ordered a fish tartar which was VERY good! Would highly recommend!
Atmosphere: very cute place. We were here 2020 Feb before pandemic. We decided to try this before getting on the ferry. And the restaurant was so cute. Food: Both my husband and I love gin and they had all sorts of gin cocktails. Which is amazing. The fish taco was fresh and good as well. The fries were satisfactory as well. Service: Quick and great.
We went here twice in our 4 days stay. Once was for NYE celebration and what can I say....the food is SO GOOD (besides the delicious fish i had a steak straight from heaven) I LOVE the interior - it’s such a gem in this touristic area. And the staff is the nicest of them all. At our second time we good welcomed like friends and that’s also how we felt. Being for dinner at friends. We ate some really, really delicious fish of the day here. The waiter told us the fish had been caught that day. We ate it. It was to die for. I highly recommend the fish of the day.

The food here is great, very fresh. I had the surf & turf skewers, my friend had the Grouper special, and we shared the guacamole and ceviche to start. All of our food was delicious.
