Opinions de Ithaca Coffee Company Ithaca
Great selection of quality coffees, including local roasts. Artisan cheeses, meats, crackers, cookies, chocolates. Has a bar in the back that we didn't visit.
Great coffee, great selection and great customer service. I only buy my coffee from here and have never been displeased with anything I've ever bought. If you're into coffee, I highly recommend checking this place out.
I recently moved to the area and was looking for gift ideas to send back to people. Aaron personally helped me find items and even emailed different ideas once he had more time. I really appreciate his kindness and helpfulness.
Cool cafe with a top selection of coffees, beers and sandwiches. Definitely stop by and grab a quick lunch while you are searching for a few craft beers around Ithaca.
Good coffee, it's more a store than coffee shop but the coffee is good. They had several single origin beans roasted several different ways.
BEST COFFEE SHOP in Ithaca, PERIOD. I feel like I’m at home when I visit. The staff are fantastic, and the selection of drinks and pastries is fire.
I bought six scones to share at the staff meeting today. They were fresh and delicious! The café mocha was stellar.
Excellent coffee, great atmosphere, awesome staff at the Triphammer location. Great selection of beer and coffee and other delicious foodie pleasing items.
Great place. Cozy, relaxed. Their tosted bread with gooda cheese is delicious, it really makes a difference. I love their coffee too.
Met friends in the tavern at the back of the store. Nice rotating selection of beer in n tap and wine by the glass. Plus a huge selection of beer and food stuff in store.
The barista for today around 2 pm was the best It one of the best cafe latte I had in this town will be back for more my friends enjoyed too
Had the coffee before. Never been in the bar. Lot of great craft beers from the area and as far as CO.
Wonderful coffee, unique gourmet foods, plentiful local foods, and diverse cheese choices. Always a favorite stop when we're in the area.
I get a mocha every time. My girl gets a hot cocoa. Both are stellar! Love the place!
Ithaca Coffee Company is such a comfortable place to meet up with friends. The staff are terrific
Fantastic service, awesome selection and they even sell craft beers at their location! Can't wait to return!
The chocolate raspberry scone is the best! Good for office work and study too.
I've been buying my coffee there for years. The selection has dwindled a bit but there must be almost 20 choices. Good selections of cheese, beer and local products. Worth the trip.
Quiet and cozy local coffee shop with variety of options, plenty of parking and seating for the whole family.
Loved the iced mocha. Solid and balanced espresso overall
Absolutely loved this shop. The variety of items in there made me giddy. We were traveling and just wanted to pick up a cup of coffee. I was surprised to find not only coffee and sandwiches but the selection of meats/cheeses, chocolates, wine, and beer made me think I was at a Toy R Us for adults.
Great variety of food and beer! There are two menu's (at least on Saturday's)....one for inside and one for outside in the patio area, where food items are cooked/prepared outside. During the summertime try their $4 pickled vegetables plate, with produce (beets, etc.) from their on-site garden! :9
Great place, the inside was clean and beautiful. Friendly workers. I got a Chai latte, first time trying Chai and it was great tasting! Will come back again to update on more food and drinks.
Great place for coffee and food. They also have a quality selection of chocolates, especially for allergy or food restrictions. A must place to visit when in Ithaca
I always like stopping in here for a coffee. dont get up in this part of town too often but its consistently a pleasant stop. the coffee is good, good fancy food to purchase( cheese and expensive snacks) and the beer bar in the back is really nice, but I am hardly ever up there at the end of the day for that.
Really fun selection of so many things! Snacks and sweets, kitchen wares, bits and bobs with a cafe and a wee tavern in the back with packs and single beers for sale as well?! Not to mention the staff is always stellar and has great recommendations!!!!
The best of both worlds, coffee and beer. Work and have a coffee during the day and then have a artisanal microbrewery beer at the tabern... The coffee is excellent and much more affordable than gimmes on a daily basis. Also, the staff is really nice.
Coffee is a great choice of different snacks, jams, cheeses.friendly ppl.chocolates. he bar out back the bagels yo getting what's not to enjoy. I live 3hrs away now and miss it
Great service with friendly staff members always knowledge about the store's offerings. Lots of in-store blends of coffee and tea with big windows at the front of the store and a small seating area to enjoy some pastries 🥐!
Fabulous selection of foods and beverages, from the finest cheeses in Ithaca to a surprisingly diverse draught beer stock. Oh, and coffee, desserts, wine, fine bottled beer galore, and lots of niche foods and kitchen supplies. May this place live eternal.
This review cannot possibly do justice to all the Ithaca Coffee Company has to offer, but they make great coffee drinks and sandwiches (The Cubano is my favorite!). They have an incredible selection of local foods and an amazing assortment of cheeses. They have a wide selection of local and non-local beers. I've only scratched the surface here, but you could spend a half day browsing all of the wonderful offerings in the Ithaca Coffee Company and still not see everything. I love the fact that almost hidden in the back is a quiet dining area where you can hang out and get some work done while enjoying a vanilla latte and a blueberry muffin. The Ithaca Coffee Company is one of my favorite places to hang out.
Coffee, yes, espresso drinks, tea, pastries, sure. But also all the supplies and gear you need to make your own coffee, including their own roasts. Also lots of gourmet shop items like cheese and charcuterie. Not to mention a tavern in back with a broad tap list, wines by the glass, and beer and cider to go.
The new location has plenty of parking. Same great coffee and sandwiches. So happy it just relocated and didn't shut down for good!
Love, love and more love this place! When in Town, I always try and hit up Ithaca Coffee Co.; now, it’s permanently moved to a plaza on outskirts of Town, but worth the 2 minutes extra drive. Parking is ample. Product selection is select down to the minutest detail items, for example, was able to find orange bitters as well as Dutch licorice. The cheese selection is varied and is an astute selection. Beth, was very kind and outfitted me with a frequent shoppers card prior to my modest but noteworthy purchase of hard-to-find grocery items to take back with me to Buffalo, New York, in my car cooler... do it and just be happy you did it! Will return and also shop online, the coffee beans are to die for!!!
Ithaca coffee company has become our family's favorite place to go out for coffee and breakfast in the morning! They also have fantastic beer selections. The staff are really kind and have gone out of their way a couple times to help when I've been in with my little ones.
A variety of good roasts and cheeses have us coming back. Get the "Prairie Breeze" cheese. This has become a staple gift whenever we visit family, its amazing. Also has a cool bar in the back.
Great local spot for coffee and lighter fare. The raspberry chocolate chip almond scones are incredible and the house blend is always a solid option! They also offer a respectable and well curated selection of craft beers in bottles and on tap. Highly recommend!
What a fabulous place! Really excellent coffee and coffee drinks, terrific food and that market! There's a huge variety of fresh cheeses, packages of high quality snack foods from gourmet crackers to truffle popcorn, local products and chocolates. On top of that, the staff is incredibly nice! Just wish I lived closer...
Behind the random strip mall exterior is a wonderful experience! Barista recommended London Fog oat milk tea. Wow! clearly made from their own organic blend and the best I’ve ever tasted. Breakfast sandos made to order are amazing and the large space includes a tavern w/beers to-go too. Gourmet local food and an impressive cheese selection also here. Love Ithaca Coffee Company 💜
My most visited coffee shop. They have good espresso drinks, and a strong cold brew. If you like real green tea lattes, they make good ones (not from a mix like starbucks.) I also like to get chocolate covered pretzels from the back counter. They are my weakness and very delicious!
Some of, if not the best coffee in town! They have a splendid little coffee counter with some pretty great food offerings as one might expect of a coffee place, as well as a wide selection of bulk coffees for sale. Beyond that they have a selection of coffee and tea making devices for home, a nice selection of cured meats, cheeses and chocolates. As an extra special bonus they have a fantastic beer tasting room/bar with growler fills and a wide variety of beer on tap as well as a selection of bottles. Any trip to ithaca should include a stop here!
There was a time Ithaca had a German bakery, deli, and other yummy Euro luxuries. Here you can still buy great coffee, coffee related products, Austrian chocolates, marzipan pigs, as well as great local sweets, beers, olive oils and cheeses from here and all over. The gift baskets are sweet, the staff friendly, and I can't resist stopping weekly to see what's new. My personal favs: the cheeses, hot chocolate choices, and anything on the back wall.
We were in Ithaca for a long weekend in February 2021 and we stumbled upon Ithaca Coffee Company as our AirBnB had the coffee available for guests to have. After having a cup in the morning, we decided we needed to make a stop at the store. AMAZING store and even better coffee! We bought multiple cans to give as gifts to our dog sitters. We were able to find some snacks for our weekend, there are kitchen supplies, trinkets, a café, and even a small tavern! Such a cool place. The employees were super friendly and welcoming. This will always be a stop on our list when in the Ithaca area!
Coffee is life!! Quality and selection is excellent!
Bartender Casey(?) Was fantastic. Very sociable gave good suggestions on tastings. Selection was nice prices are fare. Didn't order any food.
Good place for bakery items, breakfast, and lunch. Also has a very good supply of craft beers in the back, along with a tavern that serves draft beer and wine. Haven't tried their coffee yet😎.
Great place for beer, several rotating taps with selections from a large area. Large stock of beer in coolers and racks. Additionally, they offer wine pours and a limited but good food selection (cheese plate, pretzel, sandwiches, etc). The front area is a coffee shop and food store where you choose from a large selection of meats and cheeses as well as items like chocolates, crackers, and coffee beans, to name just a few.
The main room has good espresso drinks, cheese, and chocolate. The tavern in the back is awesome. 12 taps and once a beer is kicked they switch it out to a new one. Every week you show up they have a new set of beers to choose from. You can buy the beer by the glass, or you can buy it by the 4oz sample which I like. They also have wine by the glass. It is kind of like a little slice of heaven.
The best microbar in town. Head to the back in the afternoon for a draft, get a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy their prosciutto panini. Extremely tasty and a great place to have a casual meeting.
We have come to depend on Ithaca Coffee for delicious coffee beans among other products and prepared foods, all of which we love! Today we ordered for curbside pickup and it worked out perfectly. Things we ordered today and recommend besides coffee include eggs, milk, ice cream, tea, oils, and cheeses! Thank you!
A great local coffee shop. There are good bakery stuff too. If you want a quick bite, it's a nice place to go. Their coffee is fantastic.
The coffee here is really good, there is good hot food as well as pastries. They also sell a lot of interesting little treats like cookies and marzipan. The parking lot has plenty of spaces and is really nice since most other coffee shops in town only have street parking.
Coffee and Espresso drinks are great and consistent. Food and pastries are so-so to slightly above average. Could use some more vegetarian options. Love the gourmet food and cheese section. Definitely gives you something to do while waiting for your drink.
Absolutely lovely place, great coffee, amazing people
Had the seasonal hojicha pumpkin latte and wow! Love the level of sweetness. Same with the cinnamon roll and breakfast burrito. Nice and quiet to catch up with work as well as great service.
I don't normally leave reviews on too many restaurants but I needed to write one about my experience today. I went into this cafe by myself, something else I don't normally do and have a great experience. The atmosphere was just busy enough but also quiet, friendly workers and my latte was yummy and they had lots of other goodies I ended up buying also. But the most important thing is I am currently on crutches. After asking the guy helping me if he would mind if I went to my car to grab a different bag to carry everything he offered to help me and bring the bag out to my car for me. They were not busy at the time but something I found to be a very nice offer none the less. I will absolutely be back frequently. I did not try the food today but everything looked yummy.
I love getting my weekly breakfast burrito here. Best burrito in town 🌯 and the staff are kind too. Their new cafe downtown is a lively space. Shoutout to Sarah, thanks for all the burritos! 🙏📣
We come to ICC almost every week. Hands down best coffee in Ithaca. We also purchase all our beans from them too for home coffee. Staff is so friendly and does a great job with regulars remembering our names and orders. Love them so much and cannot recommend more!
Ithaca Coffee has a nice cafe area. They're one of my favorite go-tos for lunch because the sandwiches are both tastier and cheaper than what you'll find at Ithaca Bakery. The tavern area is nice for a post-work happy hour. They have a nice market assortment of cheeses, snacks, beers, olive oils, and other items in addition to the coffee and tavern service.
I ordered on line. Very good and highly recommend! Nice assortment of 2 ounce sample sizes which are sometimes hard to find on line. Fast shipment, arrived early. House blend was bold but still smooth. Cuppa Joe was lighter with hints of chocolate.
Amazing cafe and specialty food store. Delicious coffee, scrumptious pastries, and an expansive snack collection - what more could you ask for! I ordered an avocado toast and oat milk latte. The toast could have used a bit more avocado and seasoning, but overall solid. The coffee was extremely delicious. Robust yet balanced. Will definitely come back again! Prices are reasonable $7-15 per person. Parking is easy. FYI breakfast closes at 2pm so get your coffee and pastries before then!
Coffee is okay, but the beer and wine selection are awesome. Some beers I love weren't there but there's always something worth trying.
The assortment of coffee, beer and cheese is outstanding. It is definitely a little over priced but theres something for everyone here.
Excellent coffees and a nice deli. Good prices and broad selection of both coffees and teas.
Really enjoyed the coffee, it was good, not too sweet, and the workers were nice.
Good coffee and espresso drinks, although it depends on the barrista. Sometimes they make the lattes way too hot and that damages the flavor. This is one of my go-to coffee spots in Ithaca but it’s a bummer that the keep making the hours shorter and shorter for the cafe. Currently only open until 3pm. I always came here because Gimme also closes at 3pm but now they both do.
An excellent mix of items for the foodie in you or just a nice place to grab a cappuccino or latte on a lazy Saturday morning. The scones are good but a little pricey. A nice selection of coffee beans, and a fantastic assortment of chocolate. Worth stopping by.
I used to go here daily and was always pleased with the great coffee! I've had fresh brew, cafe lattes, steamed milk with honey, cafe mocha and the Kyoto iced coffee. The ice coffee feels like crack, it will have you wired for hours. The staff is great as well. Get a coffee card started and start earning free drinks!
Kind of hidden off Triphammer, but a lovely little coffee shop that has a simple menu of things to choose from along with some great things to buy. And if you're not feeling coffee and would prefer an adult beverage there is a little quiet bar area tucked in the back. Great place to catch up with someone and wanting to keep it casual and not surrounded by a ton of people.
The mochas are solid but just a warning a large with a flavor shot will cost you over $8
The space is great. Very clean, and well curated with nice furniture, and a great gift shop selection. The coffee is also pretty good. Staff was really friendly and attentive. My only critique is the egg used on their breakfast sandwiches. Soggy, no flavor and very similar to a gas station sandwich. I was quite confused, as everything else seemed like they care about their quality. Baked goods next time🙂
Come here to buy coffee beans, but don't drink anything from the cafe. Espresso was far worse than anywhere else in Ithaca. EDIT: I've only ordered from here once, so it may have been a one off thing.
I go here to buy ground coffee. They used to have great dark roast selections for espresso, but recently the dark roasts have gotten much lighter and selection has gotten smaller. Not sure why.... but can’t find good espresso roast now.
Kyoto style cold brew coffee? I think they need to check their ratio/recipe. And cold brewed coffee doesn't mean the person wants ice. My wife's mocha drink was absolutely delicious but I have had instant coffee with better flavor than the cold brew.
First time visit I found all of the shopping fun. Food delicious! However, I went to order a coffee and one of the employees seemed shockingly rude to me. They seemed polite to other people. I just can't see why me.
Food is extraordinary but the lattes/espresso beverages are undrinkable. Doused in syrup everytime.
Food and coffe are excellent but services should improved. I asked for reward program, staff gave me the card without explaining that my order didn't added in the program, yet. When I checked my ORDER HISTORY and found out that it wrote..You haven't placed any orders yet. That made me very upset.
Took forever! Like well over half an hour and there were only 2 other people in the whole place. After we ate, I asked the 'chef' if they sold the horseradish in a jar that was on the Cuban sandwich. He said they don't put horseradish on the Cuban. We laughed so hard. Oh... there was definitely horseradish. It burned our sinuses out in a great way. So well that i really wanted to buy a jar. Lol! I have a feeling it was the mustard that has horseradish in it. Maybe new cooks due to college break? The food was tasty at least.
The coffee and service were good. However, I would be likely to return if there wasn’t a $1.50 upcharge for alternative milk, which is steep relative to other businesses. I’m aware non-dairy milk is more expensive, but not $1.50 per serving more expensive. It feels exploitative for a business to profit off food allergies.
Friendly staff but underwhelmed by the coffee and avocado toast for the price. Mocha had very little chocolate flavor and hazelnut syrup was also bland. The iced coffee had an unpleasant aftertaste. Avocado toast: I was hoping for real avocado but it seemed like a prepackaged spread.
Time for a name change the Ithaca Coffee Company is so focused on the beer and back of the shop they don't sell coffee - so frustrating to go into a place called coffee company and be told that they are not making coffee. It's extremely hit or miss for getting a coffee in the afternoon and on your way home from work. Very disappointed in what used to be one my favorite shop local places.
This review is strictly for the cafe part of the store. I got an iced oat matcha latte and rooster sandwich. Matcha is fine, not bad but nothing special. The sandwich was very salty and biscuit was a bit gluey. Would not recommend, maybe try a dif sandwich. Service is a bit slow but the staff are very friendly. My friends got hot lattes and the barista drew some simple latte art, so cute! Im not a coffee drinker, but i think the coffee is quite nice.
Cold brew was some of the worst coffee we’ve ever had. Bitter and nasty stuff. Staff were pleasant and pleasant on the plus side.
I didn't go there. I went to Ithaca Bakery and I didn't get what I asked for. I asked for everything bagel got that. I asked for toasted, it was not toasted. I asked chicken salad got that and that was good could have left out onions. I asked for provolone cheese didn't get that, got American cheese there is a difference. I guess I won't be coming back.
Food and coffee was good, but it took ridiculously long to get it. About 30 minutes in and we still haven’t gotten our croissant, and the latte took a good 15 minutes. Usually I don’t judge for wait times, but the place is not very busy and there’s little to no line. 8/17/25
I get that milk alternatives can be pricey. However, it's shameful to also charge for said milk alternatives. It's discriminating to those who have dairy allergies.
The woman working the front counter rudely barked orders at me like I was a dog- asking what I wanted, when she told my total, and when taking my card. The coffee was made incorrectly and the barista overcharged me; I ordered 2 20oz coffees and my total was $11.
So I walk into the establishment doors are open workers at their stations I walk up to place my order and stand there for 5 minutes while she stood there texting so I said excuse me and got the annoyed look and tongue click I aske if she had frozen coffee and rudely said yes and told me they weren’t open? Hmmmmm that’s funny doors are open and everything points to you are but ok so I leave go to my car check the site it clearly says open so what she was saying was they weren’t open according to her time so I called woman answers I’m assuming it’s her cause she was rude I said can I place a pick up and got the annoyed sigh and the I’m so screwing her morning upplaced my order and she says 10 or 15 min they are just now opening up really??!?? Not impressed and my order was wrong I got a sesame seed bread instead of a sesame bagel with ham egg and cheese I should have said something but I’m to irritated so I threw my breakfast sandwich in the trash and that folks is why you always go to CTB
Just waited 15 minutes for a bagel. It was cold and not sliced in half. I'm done accepting incompetence. A tip? You want a tip? Learn your job! Jesus.
Cruel management... overworking their employees, In what world should a barista be working almost TEN HOUR shifts?? Disgusting ethics, they clearly don’t care about their employees or the Ithaca community. Not worth the overpriced coffee, and the employees should unionize.
Horrible experience! Tried bagel today and it was like a stone!!! Dunkin Donuts or even McDonalds would never do that. My teeth are still aching from eating that bagel. Coffee was good though but unfortunately was offset by a horrible bagel experience. I would recommend getting coffee here and go eating somewhere else if you’re hungry
I order a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese It came to me hard as a rock. I reordered the same meal It came to me for the second time the same way. I am not sure if they are leaving the bagel in the toaster for too long but It was horrible. If I threw the bagel at something It would break It. This is not an exaggeration.
I bought a bag of whole bean Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and it was the worst Yirgacheffe I have ever tried. Either the coffee was stored for too long before or the processing method couldn't make the flavor come out or the beans were just bad. Do not buy their Yirgacheffe because you always have a better choice elsewhere.
This store is aimed towards older, wealthy, retired people. Working class people can't afford anything. They actually sell a loaf of bread for $50. Plus they pay their staff minimum wage, and are regularly making snarky comments. The one good part was the former manager, Amanda. She was absolutely wonderful but unfortunately they have changed management for the 2nd time this year. One or two employees are great but the majority are millennials who create a high school like atmosphere. The coffee is decent, but there are DEFINITELY much better and more affordable options. Don't waste your money or time.
I would not suggest this if you’re ordering a slight customization on the menu. It took them 25 mins to make a bagel - in not a busy time, with 2 members behind the counter - and even then, they added meat on it when I asked them a few times not to. At the 20 min mark they were just getting the eggs done (when we were the first customers to come in). I appreciate them making things fresh - but honestly - it takes me much lesser time doing this by myself while multitasking. The staff just needs a lot of training.
