A little pricey but worth it. It's a treat to have and sometimes you just need to do it! The chicken pineapple fried rice is amazing and the iced Thai tea is something that you don't want it to be gone! Delicious! Hard working, polite people work there. They now have a drive thru!!

I ordered the Pad See EW and spring rolls. The food was completely freshly made and authentic. The restaurant is beautiful inside and makes for the perfect place for any occasion. It’s clear that the word express is not for a quick microwaved meal but for the place the taste immediately takes your taste buds. Everything here is delicious and the staff are friendly knowledgeable Irena answered all my detailed questions and everything exceeded my expectations. Simply delicious! 😚

I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and service is quick and friendly. I am amending my original review. I went and got takeout tonight with my kids. I got my usual yellow curry level 3. For some reason the food here is inconsistent. The chicken tonight was dried out and the sauce had a cornstarch/flour taste. My kids even said the food doesn't taste right. Depends on when you go. Who are the chefs that can or can't cook? I now cannot go on Tuesdays either. Jeez!!!

I absolutely love the food quality, friendly and helpful staff and atmosphere of this place. It is a great for a lunch date, meeting spot or date night.

I’m taking time to write this cause the other reviews seem off. We ordered delivery and pick up in the last two weeks due to Covid and too tired to cook. Ima cook and hotel school grad. Each order was over $100…we got a good sampling. Both delivery and pick up were fast and smooth. The food was crazy good. Highlights were Rama noodles, curry, spring rolls and a rice salad. Peanut sauce. Soups were good too. Extra sauces were requested and sent. We ordered online. They open at 11 and this orders are produced AFTER 11. You can’t go wrong here if my experience is a judge. Never tried before cause these restaurants are always packed when I’m in town. Give it a go.

Favorite place to dine in Ithaca. I’ve been dining here for 20 years (on-and-off); they are consistently delicious! Now I get the joy of sharing good Thai food upstate with my kids.

Only place I liked my meal so much I ordered another one. This was back when they had done in. We travel up from PA and have to hit this place the pad Thai is unreal. Spring roll and sauce is also 10/10! Just had it today no more dine in. But there is outside tables. Give this place a try.

Stumbled upon a hidden gem— A Thai restaurant, pure delight. Found it on our trip to Ithaca, Where flavors danced and felt just right. We ordered a salad, thought it was raw, But it came out warm, gently cooked. Though the mix-up was our own, They smiled and kindly overlooked. No questions asked, just grace and care, Their hospitality filled the air. From service warm to food divine, A place where hearts and taste buds shine.

I had some great lunch here with my girlfriend today. The food was very delicious and the waitress was kind. I was happily pleased to see that the prices were quiet reasonable for the Ithaca area. I like the decor of the plants surrounded the large windows. It would have been nice to have a little background music as the restaurant was dead quiet but we still enjoyed our meal and would be happy to return again to try all of the other dishes that looked tasty.

I ordered through Door Dash and my order didn’t come as expected. I called the restaurant and realized it was my fault. The person was extremely helpful and understanding. She explained all of the options I had which were all customer focused. Even though it was my fault they made it right and redelivered the food hot. Order directly if you can. I can’t express how much it meant to receive kind, professional, and great customer service. I forgot it still existed. Thank you!!!

I was so excited to make a trip down to come back! I love over an hour away now and I was really craving the jasmine tea and a couple other items I used to get while working in the area. The server Leslie was super sweet and polite, despite not having a ton of other tables in the restaurant the food did take a little while but she came over multiple times to check on us and to make sure we had everything we needed. The next time I take the trip again I’m excited to come back!

I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants around the country and this place still makes the 2nd best pad see ew I’ve had. I get that dish every restaurant to test it and this is always top of the list. I came here a lot in college 10 years ago and decided to give it a go when I came back to visit. It was still very delicious. My party also got drunken noodles, fried rice, chicken satay, spring rolls, and loved them. Service was friendly, quick, exactly what you’d expect. It wasn’t busy when we went but regardless no issues.

My friend ordered seafood fried rice, it was really good. I also try my friend’s tom yum, it was okay. Not the best tom yum I ever tried.

Consistently a solid, great place to go in Ithaca. Good quality food? Check. Spicy enough? Check. Good service? Sometimes slow when busy but they're sure to explain and apologize for any delays. Great prices? Definitely. Portions are huge so I always with leftovers!

Wish we could give a full 5 stars for taste and service... both excellent... BUT we were a little discouraged by the prep: the tails should already be removed from the shrimp (not making the customers dip their hands in their food), the veggies should be cut much, much, much smaller, and they need regular oolong tea. Also... they really need to expand their menu into some more popular and recognizable items. Would we eat there again? Absolutely!

Taste of Thai has consistently been one of my favorite restaurants. The place is lovely and has a very classy but cozy atmosphere. I love the food a lot, especially the noodle dishes. I do find that they tend to be more oily than I would like but the taste is fantastic. Kai Kua is my most often ordered dish and it has never wavered in its quality. The juiciness of the noodles and the rich savory sauce is enough to make me drool! My main suggestion for improvement would be the delivery service. Every time I order, they have forgotten at least one item or arrive much later than they said they would. I can understand things being in a rush or unexpected situations but if, for example, my food will be another hour late, it'd be nice to get a heads up.

Overall, it was pretty good. I walked in and I smelled a funny odor. After being seated I recognized the smell as bleach which soon faded. We ordered or food and drinks. The lime and soda water was excellent. The food was a wait... which was weird because this Taste of Thai Express. Anyway, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I recommend ordering ahead, but overall I had a decent experience.

8 times, 7 good, 1 bad. It is usually good, sometimes with different stuff being delivered, (example: chilies in the Pad Thai once, on the side another time). Unfortunately, once it was just terrible. The appetizers were good, but then my meal was OK. But my mother's meal was delivered 10 minutes later than my meal, and it was just plain gross. It was the cashew stir-fry, it was cold, had no juice, and the chicken was undercooked. Overall, Tamarind is better, but this place has good food, too.

The waitresses were dressed inappropriately. Belly showing and skin tight pants. It was uncomfortable.

I've been coming to this place for years and have always loved the food! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because things have been a bit oily the last few times I've ordered pickup. Otherwise, the staff is always very friendly rather I'm dining in or picking up at the drive thru!

Not being a big Thai food fan (peanut allergy), I was able to find quite a few items on the menu that I was able to eat. Food was fresh and delicious— I’ll go back!

Taste of Thai Express is a well run establishment with consistently great food. Just went on 19 January for a good friends birthday party...it was well received by all.

The food is always good and fresh. Service is usually fast although sometimes delivery can be slow. Food is usually hot. In my last pickup order, I was not given the gluten-free sauce for my fresh rolls. I ordered two orders of fresh rolls & asked that one have the GF sauce. The sauces were the same. The receipt clearly marked one as GF. Fortunately, I am aware of what the GF sauce looks like and didn't eat the sauce that came with my fresh rolls. Unfortunately, not every person that orders from Taste of Thai who may have a gluten sensitivity would know that. Having said that, I am grateful that Taste of Thai is willing to make dishes without the gluten.

Good food. I appreciated the fried tofu. Haven't seen that around much. Service was kind and the price was right. On my next visit, I'll probably sit outside on the patio. The incense burner was confusing my palate. Unfortunately it took away something from the meal, but I plan on trying this one again!

I love me some Pad Thai. I always get it whenever I order from a Thai restaurant, without fail. Taste of Thai Express offers really good sizes for a decent price. Up the street is Tamarind, which has seen smaller portions but higher prices, so I hope ToTE stays gold in that regard. Love the reward system, which gives you points to save for another meal. So, I was able to get even more Pad Thai. Everyone wins. I've never eaten in the restaurant since they've reopened the lobby post-pandemic, but I've never needed to since I always choose take out. Even so, I have always had a good experience with the ladies at the pick up window, who are never rude. Now, the name "Express" is at best wishful thinking. I've come to get used to needing to hearing them tell me it will take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes for pickup. I hope it's because so many other Ithacans are getting their Thai fix, but I can't know. This establishment has built a lot of goodwill with me over two years. Once, they took down the wrong call back number, and so I waited extraordinarily long for them to alert me that the meal was ready. So, they gave me a complementary meal. Another time, there was a mix up with the points system and card I had on file. So, they let me use previous credits right away and continue with the points system instead of completely starting over. Another time I desperately called about 10 minutes before closing to order, not knowing that they actually shut down the kitchen 15 minutes before closing. Yet, they were willing to fire up the ovens one last time for my meal. I was immeasurably grateful. That is the sort of PR that keeps customers coming back, overlooking faults, and even leaving tips. Would give Taste of Thai Express a 5/5, but the time between ordering and eating isn't actually in line with the name. But in my experience, it has been worth the wait. In the future, I will definitely order more Pad Thai from Taste of Thai Express, and I will definitely enjoy it. Thanks for everything ToTE! Best bang for my buck!

I was a little apprehensive after having read mixed reviews, as I haven't been here in a while. We got takeout and it was delicious. My favorite was the red curry with chicken. Perfect level of heat, rich but not too rich, chicken was really moist, vegetables were well cooked. We also got the Pad Se Ew with beef and the stir fried green beans with pork. The green bean dish was on the oily side but flavor was good and meat was tender. The Pad Se Ew had nice char from the wok -- I just wished there had been more of the Chinese broccoli in there. Prices were really reasonable -- three entrees for right around $50. All around good and we'll be back!.

This was my favorite restaurant when I lived here years ago. I've been twice this year and both times the order wasn't right - the dish was the right one but it was missing key ingredients . The food also took over 45 minutes to come out the last time- when we mentioned maybe our order got lost bc the table next to us that ordered at the same time had already finished eating and we hadn't gotten our order. They told us that the other group had 6 people so they were prioritized over us (2 people)... by 20+ minutes!

Food is good. They seem understaffed. We waited 30 minutes past when quoted for takeout so 1:15 just to receive takeout. Definitely think twice about ordering during popular times.

I've ordered from Taste of Thai a couple of times and it's been great. Today, I ordered the same dishes and they were very different. They had a similar off flavor to what I've received at Tamarind. I tip my hat to anyone who can cook/keep a restaurant running. For me to continue ordering from here though, there'd have to be a bit more consistency, because the experience went from :D to :\

We've generally had very good experiences with Taste of Thai Express. Tonight was quite a disappointment, however. We ordered two vegetarian pineapple fried rice orders, but when I got home, we found that one had chicken and sausage. I called and they apologized for the mistake, but because I had picked up my order, they wouldn't deliver the correct dish! Since I wasn't about to miss dinner with the family and spend another 25 minutes (round trip) to pick up another one, they could only offer to give me credit for next time. When similar mistakes have been made by other restaurants, they have apologized and delivered the correct meal. I think this is a bad policy and poor customer service from an otherwise great restaurant. Our other two dishes which were ordered spicy, had zero spice, so I think there was some issue in the kitchen tonight.

Thai Express do have good food that is very affordable. However there not consistent. They have gave. 4 out of 10 times I order something there, it would be the wrong things I ordered, or prepared very poorly. Same thing happen last night. When I ordered the spinach and peanut sauce with chicken. On the ticket it clearly said chicken but somehow they gave me some nasty tofu instead. So I call them and no one can explain to me why this happened. If you buy food from this place make sure you go to pick it up and ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I also think that the people up front should check the food before sending it out.

If you get them on a good day, the food is delicious. I went last Sunday for carry out and our favorite dishes were nothing like they generally are and were highly disappointing. Have no idea when the experienced cooks are working because that's when you need to go.

This place would get a higher rating from me if they didn't over salt their dishes so much, to the point where it was almost inedible. Both mine: Ginger Delight, as well as my friend's Rad Nah (Drunken noodles). And I usually like salty things. We both liked our appetizers (fresh tofu rolls and Goong Salong). And also the atmosphere and the service were very good.

I live in Oklahoma now. When I lived in Horseheads, I used to drive to Ithaca for this place. I thought it was the quintessential Thai restaurant. I think it got COVID'd. On my visit to the area, I stopped for dinner. They warned me it was a 20 minute wait. Got the Thai fried rice. It basically tastes like sugar and oyster sauce. No flavor meld. It doesn't look appetizing. There was a piece of noodle on my water glass. They were telling to go customers that if they don't want to wait, they can leave. Imma say it's not what it used to be. My mom used to make me eat ALL my food. One time I didn't eat my food and she stuck a funnel in my mouth and force fed me all my food (that might be an embellishment). To this day I practical always eat ALL my food. Every single rice grain. Today I left half my rice. It wasn't good. I ate what I ate cuz I hate to pay for it and literally not eat any. It wasn't good. Three stars cuz I heard they only had one wok going cuz one broke. Guessing it was an off day and being charitable.

If we don’t want noodles then we have ordered stir fry dishes in the past that were very good with vegetables as described. This time we ordered garlic platter under "stir fry" but if you think all stir fry dishes have some vegetables, you will be incorrect. It is garlic with whatever protein you want. If you were not to want a protein, then I'd guess you'd get a garlic sauce for $14.95. Because besides the chicken that we ordered in it, there was only sauce. Aside from this strange dish, we got the usual unfriendly, no smile, no thank you for your business. Just a "here you go" when handing over the food to me.

We were told to seat ourselves when we arrived, then we waited & waited. One of us finally got up to get menus & someone finally brought them. Food was good but our server never checked to make sure everything was satisfactory. What has happened to this restaurant?? It used to be so good!! I’m so disappointed.

Normally they do a great job, but the food was different tonight. I got the pad see ew, but it didn’t have any sauce or real taste to it. Adding a picture to show—pretty much plain, dry, broken-up noodles with greens and chicken. Their curries were great the last time I had them, though, and may be a safer bet!

Our last takeout order here was okay but the ginger dish didn't seem to have much flavor and the basil dish was off too. Have had much better. Pickup experience was excellent.

I want to like this place more, it's been here a while...but you know...do a little bit better please. Pad Thai was dry as hell, asked specifically word for word for "vegetarian drunken rice with mock chicken" (both vegetarian and mock chicken are specifically listed as options for this dish on the menu) and I got drunken rice with mock chicken, and big slices of sausage. Resauraunt had a single table when I came in and placed this to-go order. I've worked in resurauraunts for 12 years in Ithaca; I'm not trying to hate, mistakes happen. Just...times are tough for resuaraunts and every little bit of effort makes a difference in staying afloat I'm sure. Please do slightly better. The rest of the food was great. I hope this place makes it.

Summary: The food is great but portion sizes are an issue. We love Taste of Thai’s flavors but we’re disappointed in the portions we’ve received in our recent takeout orders. For the boxes to be around 70% full is unreasonable. While I understand that inflation plays a role, the dishes we order are primarily noodle and rice— those ingredients are low-cost. Additionally, something that is even more disgruntling is that when we select (and pay for) extra protein or extra veggies, we don’t really notice an increase in whatever ingredient we select. Alas, we will be back because it’s our favorite Thai spot but I hope they rectify their portions and pay attention when someone pays for extra ingredients.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all , just one other table besides ours, yet the food took quite a long time to arrive. We ordered the drunken noodles, and I was surprised that the dish wasn’t served hot. Some chicken pieces were actually cold inside, like food that’s been unevenly reheated in a microwave. The rice noodles were also clumped together, four or five layers stuck without any sauce coating. The potatoes in the yellow curry also tasted off. Overall, the food didn’t feel fresh or hot, and even the table we sat at was sticky. I wouldn’t recommend this Thai restaurant. I’ve tried plenty of Thai places over the years, and there are many others that are much better.

We had pad thai and firecracker shrimp. Honestly, the pad thai was pretty bland. There was a lot of it but no real flavor or even spice. The firecracker shrimp was really good but we were only given a small container of sauce which was really essential to send the flavor over the top. The Thai tea was ok but sort of "chalky"...would go again but would be sure and ask to up the flavor profile if possible. Great prices. Ordered on line and picked up at drive through.

Food: Ordered two Drunken Noodles with tofu. The taste was good, but there was barely any tofu in my dish. The food was not hot enough—some items felt like they were at room temperature. Service: Service was noticeably slow. Ambience: The restaurant has a great atmosphere with large glass windows. There's also outdoor seating available. Cleanliness: Both the restaurant and restroom were clean. Parking: Free parking is available, but spots are limited. Overall: Good taste and clean setting, but the portion quality, food temperature, and speed of service could be improved.

My wife ordered the drunken noodles, which had a 2 pepper heat rating. There was no heat whatsoever and no flavor. She had to request chili sauce to satisfy the heat and flavor profile. I had the broccoli stir fry, which was average. The place needs a good cleaning in the areas that were obvious to the eye...the critical areas one doesn't have access to but I can't imagine it would be any different. It appears the Ithaca health department is understaffed.

Just when I thought there was one reliable restaurant left in Ithaca, I was let down. 7 pieces of tofu in not even a cup of sauce, bulked up with vegetables for $16. First time I have had the food delivered with doordash, but I have been ordering from this restaurant for almost fourteen years and am very disappointed.

if you are a delivery driver for grubhub, uber eats, etc. don’t take orders from here. you have to text them when you arrive and they don’t often respond and always make me late which then ruins my rating and pay rate. I’ve never had the food but apparently it’s good so no complaints there but I’ve had similar delivery experiences each time and it’s frustrating. I’m not angry at anyone and I’m not trying to be rude but if you can’t keep up with the pace that the delivery apps expect us to keep up with then don’t sign your restaurant up for them because it damages our livelihood.

This used to be a go-to both to dine in and for take-out. After this eve, it will be a long while before we try again. We dined in. It took about 40 minutes for our food to come after ordering, just two entrees, to arrive. Some other diners seated after us received their entire meals before we got ours. (Appetizer and meal) The drunken noodles, formerly a favorite, were inedible. They were spongy, tasteless and just dripping with grease. There didn’t appear to be any seasoning, which I mentioned to our server without any results. I’d asked for extra vegetables, which I believe I got, but most of the veggies were room temperature, while the noodles were warmer. Spicy they were not. My dining partner ordered sweet and sour chicken which he was also unable to eat. Very little chicken. The server said the kitchen was slammed, which I can appreciate. I hope that our meal was a one-off. The staff is consistently pleasant although sparse; I hope the food quality can be figured out.

Tried to order delivery via Door Dash. I've been a customer of Taste of Thai Express for years but never again. Food was over an hour and a half late. Called the restaurant and was told the Door Dash driver had just picked up the food - that was a lie. Called again half an hour later and another person arranged for the restaurant driver to deliver. Then that driver could not follow specific directions and just left the food at a random door to my apartment building. I'm done with Taste of Thai Express. Food is good but not worth the hassle.

We sat at least 15 minutes before getting a menu. 10 more to take order. The real flower on the table was almost dead and had very tiny red bugs crawling on it. We ordered a pot of tea which was not hot. We waited another 20 minutes and asked for our food to go, and we went. Tom Yum was ok, but the Pad Thai was dry.

Not recommended for take out. The food was OK but...... When we placed our order we were told it would be ready in approximately 30 minutes. It wasn't ready until one hour 29 minutes. Same thing happened the last time we ordered take out. I will not be trying a third time, I've learned my lesson.

The spring rolls were dripping oil, but okay enough. The chicken satay was very good. The thai fried rice and curry were okay, but not something we would order again. The drunken noodles were inedible as they were spongy noodles that were drowning in sauce and oil. The restaurant is dirty and sticky, and the food looked like it was half dropped before getting to the table. We had been considering this place for catering but quickly realized it was a definite no. The obvious lack of cleanliness is concerning.

Food was bad - mild curry really wasn't and had a one dimensional flavour of turmeric. Thai chili basil had no basil or chili. We were brought a dish of still frozen chilis to add. Service was slow with no explanation or update, no one did anything to correct the issues we were having. Drive thru pick up window was left open for long periods meaning it was freezing inside. They clearly don't have enough staff in the kitchen or serving. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I liked Taste of Thai for long time, even when I got a feeling that it became not as good as before, but I still went there. However the experience yesterday made me never want to eat there again. I went in for early dinner, I was the only one customer then, I ordered seafood fried noodle which I always ordered there.The food was served pretty fast, I showed my appreciation to the waitress. But it didn’t look good, it looked watery. It tasted worse! The noodle was soupy, and the sea food tasted like it wasn’t cooked thoroughly, it smelled raw seafood. Eventually I probably ate one third of it, when the waitress came to me, I complained a tiny bit carefully and politely, but the waitress didn’t show up again, somebody else took the plate and checked me out. After the raw seafood taste, I was expecting a piece of mint chocolate which the restaurant would always gives to customer. But I paid and got nothing.

I have been here several times. I brought my 3 daughters and 2 grandsons to enjoy dinner. This was the first visit for one of my daughters. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated quickly. We waited 25 minutes and were only brought water. No one came to take our order. The staff hovered at the counter, but quickly seated other patrons as they arrived --brought water to them --took orders and so forth. My grandchildren were becoming unhappy and we were famished. The lack of service was glaring as we were being avoided. I said to my family that the situation was ridiculous and suggested a different restaurant for dinner. We all stood together to leave. No one approached us, and as we left five women stood silently in a row at the counter looking at us. One finally bid us a good night, and I replied that if their purpose was to run us out of the restaurant then they succeeded. Not only did they lose our business, but an excellent tip as well because of the needs of the children in our party. I have never been treated so poorly in this, or any, restaurant. I have seen comments from other patrons of the declining quality of the staff. Take heed.

Waited for an hour for food. Everyone is hungry to the stage of syncope almost. And Thai tea isn't like the Thai tea at those common milk tea shops. It almost tastes like unbrew apple orange juice. Other food dishes are great (said By friends)

One of the most disappointing meals I have had in a long time. We live in a small town with few restaurant options. We love Thai food and were so looking forward to this meal while visiting Ithaca. Service and food were very slow. We asked for a spiciness level of 3 out of five stars as we love spicy food. My meal was pretty as it was garnished with an orchid, but neither of our meals had any spiciness at all. When we tald our waiter, his response was to bring a selection of pepper sauces to put on top. Also, the food had no warmth, not even lukewarm to touch. Tasted like unflavored cornstarch with noodles and a few green beans thrown in. Maybe just an error on the part of the cook, but not handled well by the waiter. Can't recommend this place, sadly. :(

Food was decent. Service was absolutely the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. Owner should definitely be looking into the terrible servers. Front staff so busy on their phones outside and fooling around instead of working. Waited over 30 minutes for refills of drinks. Had to ask for refills even though you could clearly see all glasses at the table were empty. Other tables were complaining about the service as well. Servers were oblivious to customers in the restaurant. Three servers and 3 tables....you would think it would be amazing service....get it together people!

Called to place a pick up order. Said it was an hour wait, no problem, I placed my order. Was asked my phone number and was told I'd receive a text when the order was ready for pick up. I did recieve a confirmation text of the order. An hour later I called to check on my order since I haven't received a text yet. The lady was pleasant said she needed my name, I was never asked my name only number. She put me on hold to, 16 minutes later I was still on hold, i hung up frustrated. Called back to be placed on hold again. Waited 5 minutes & hung up. DONE! They can make the food and keep it. Should be no reason for the lack of customer service.

Easily the most horrible restaurant and service in all of Ithaca. I arrive and am told my order is still being worked on and should just be another few minutes. I wait outside over 20 minutes and go back in to see what is going on and they said one last thing is still being worked on and that it’ll be another 10+ minutes. Since when does “afew more minutes” mean over a half hour?!?! Avoid this place at all costs!!!!

Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. The little bit of food I ate was eh. We were the only ones in the restaurant for atleast 10 minutes. Then everyone (4 other tables) in the restaurant got their food before us. I asked what’s was going on. we were just kinda forgotten about and the waitress accidentally gave a different table our food!? Don’t recommend!!

I can't stand this place. My family makes me go here from time to time when Tamarind is closed and it's always awful. Everything is either flavorless or way too greasy. Tonight I had Spicy Rad Nah noodles and they weren't wide as advertised on the menu, they weren't spicy, and they were insanely greasy. The mushrooms were undercooked and the sauce was flavorless and underseasoned. They don't use fish sauce in anything. Some of the worst Thai food you can have.

Ordered online for delivery. My food came over an hour past the time they said it would be delivered. This was after I called twice to remind them I ordered. On the second phone call I asked to speak to a manager for a discount. That manager was too busy to talk to me and said I would receive a call back. The manager never called me back and no discounts were applied for the horrible service.

I ordered pick up from this restaurant after reading many reviews. I was totally excited to taste. I ordered drunken friend rice and drunken noodles too. The friend rice was literally brunt. I went back to return and she took the box and gave the same one again. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER BEEN TO SUCH RESTAURANT BEFORE

I ordered Tom Yum soup and l'd say it tasted like Campbell's vegetable soup, but I don't want to insult the tin soup company. Traditionally it should have kefir lime leaves, galangal, chili jam paste, lemon grass, limes, shrimp stock, Thai chilis, Thai basil, occasionally cilantro and usually you choose a protein. That's the base line and then most add oyster mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and if they're feeling frisky some bell peppers. Tom Yum Khar is all of that plus the addition of coconut milk. This place had green beans, baby canned corn, regular cabbage and white mushrooms. They took what should have been fresh ingredients and made it taste canned. They had the ingredients split between the two options. Instead of putting all of the flavor makers into both soups they split them as if people wouldn't understand that the only difference should be the addition of coconut milk or they wanted to stretch the menu and make it seen like two different soups. I also ordered the fresh rolls, which are called spring or summer rolls most every where else. It's not too hard to mess up those, but if you're only going to offer tofu and shrimp please flavor the tofu a bit or put a sear on it. It also wasn't a peanut sauce as much as it was like a sweet Hoisin with some cracked peanuts on top, but every place has their own flare on their sauce. It's usually much lighter and thinner with a sweet and tangy taste. As for the service I called in this order. I'm not positive, but it seemed like it was an automated system that was meant to sound like a real girl taking my order and if it wasn't they need to have a talk with the person taking orders. All in all of you're looking for traditional Thai food or even food that just tastes good I'd consider going elsewhere.

Terrible experience and waste of money! I ordered for pick up and when I arrived 30 minutes later, they could not find my order. Said “their machine was not working right”. Like, Seriously!?! The staff was really friendly though and apologized and then got my order to come through quickly, but still made me late. Don’t get the mock chicken! Totally gross. 🤢 it was really soggy like a wet sponge soaking in dishwater. Absolutely no flavor, like do they really think that’s edible for vegetarians!? Do they even taste their own food before serving to the public?

We came here reading the reviews, as we were passing by this area. Unfortunately our experience was pretty bad. We ordered Thai fried rice two different dishes. This by far was one of the worst Dish I’ve ever had. The food was loaded in oil had some foul smell in it that left us nauseous. My wife couldn’t even complete her dish. Waste of money. Highly displeased and don’t recommend this place!

This used to be my go-to Thai place in Ithaca for consistent quality and reliable service, but it has gone downhill over the last few years. I recently placed an order for pickup and received it a full hour after I was told it would be ready (1 1/2 hours after ordering). They said the kitchen was backed up due to catering orders, but if you are too busy to accommodate catering, dine-in, and takeout, you should stop accepting takeout orders. They also started using an AI assistant to answer their phones, so it initially sounds like you're talking to a real person but it's actually a robot. So creepy and a real downgrade because the staff used to be very friendly and helpful over the phone.

Highly recommend not to eat here…. We came out at 6pm to order… and then we waited 45 minutes for a starter… the waiter never told us that it would take so long… they didn’t give us water… and the rest of the food took almost an hour to be served…. My Pad Thai ….the shrimp and scallops inside was frozen….. It’s a waste of time and money to eat here….👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

First experience and probably last. Did drive thru pick up. Supposed to be ready at 6:18. 6:20 they asked me to pull to the Dunkin parking lot next door and they'll let me know when it is ready. 6:50, I walk up to the window to ask if it was done and the lady had to go to the back to check on it. She returned a couple minutes later and handed me a bag and said it just got finished. I stick my hand in and the containers are warm, not hot. So, it clearly was not JUST done. The Chinese food that had been sitting on a counter at the Ling Ling restaurant for 20 minutes waiting for us was WAY hotter. Got the food back to the house, opened it up and it was not hot and almost room temp. The flavor was good but not worth the 30 minutes extra sitting there. On a plus, having a Dunkin Donuts right there allowed my Fiance to get a coffee while we waited! Overall, if you decide to give it a shot, do NOT do the drive thru to pick up your food. On a side note, we got the Yellow Curry and the Pinapple Fried Rice. The Sesame Chicken and the Beef & Broccoli were from Ling Ling's and I HIGHLY recommend them.
