This place gets a 5 based on the fish tacos. This is the first place I’ve found here with perfectly fried fish. The beer was cold and the staff was lovely. Fresh, delicious and beautiful.

I loved this place. The guacamole and tacos were chefs kiss. And the margs were delicious! Sitting on the patio was a nice vibe at sunset.

I like places that make your visit convenient, this is definitely one of them. They accept credit cards, Bitcoin & have a cute menu. The live music is just as entertaining as the chill ambiance. Now, my friends & I are regulars here. If we don’t visit weekly, we feel voids in our lives. That being said, everyone should visit Mama Caguamas at least once before they die…🤣😂

Little bit of a walk but not much from downtown Puerto Vallarta Malecon boardwalk. Beautiful breezes on the patio, and the food was every bit five stars! My boyfriend did not like the fact that he had to walk in the heat (July humidity) but trust me, it was worth every bite, LOL! Even the chef came out to ask if everything was okay, to which I let him know it was more than okay, it was excellente!! Five stars from me and even the reluctant boyfriend. I should have taken a picture of my ice cold beer and my tacos, but was just too eager to eat. And might I add, the owner Sean is absolutely terrific! Made sure every bit of our stay was pleasant!

Super friendly staff and yummy tacos. I liked the tacos al pastor so much I went back a second time for more! You can tell the tortillas are homemade, they’re so thin and delicious. Perfect with the jalapeño and cebollita!

We are in town for a business meeting and decide to stop in and have some beers. Pleasantly surprised at the large section of beers! the staff was also great and spoke well English for those still learning.

We came for Monday pizza night and loved the veggie pizza. It was good for any location - not just better than average for Mexico. Our deep dish pizza was square, about the size of a pan of brownies and was enough for my wife and I. We look forward to coming back on another night and trying the other offerings on the menu.

Up the hill a little is this amazing tacos and beer spot. Fish tacos, guacamole with chips, cold beers, friendly and fun terrace to watch the world around us. Staff were excellent. Love this place.

Sweet spot. Kind of tucked into the neighborhood. Outdoor and indoor seating; cozy, bright and airy feel. Came here with a friend after shopping to relax and have a beer and a bite to eat. The wings are terrific and paired well with a local IPA. We sat, nibbled, sipped our drinks and talked. The server, Cali, was smiling and friendly and took good care of us. A musician with a guitar arrived and we listened for awhile. I'll be back.

This is one of my favorite spots in 5 de Diciembre for enjoying great food and craft beers. The fish tacos are awesome and not to mention they actually make a prettt good pizza. Mama Caguamas is also one of the only places in PV you will find such a good selection of Mexican craft beers and other microbrews. Staff is always super nice. I have been coming here for 5 years now.

If you go to the malecón there is a small space in mom caguama, ready to serve you with a smile all their staff is very friendly and helpful they can even give recommendations from other places around, they usually have live music and it is a very crowded place maybe it seems that he is alone but it is not like that in a matter of minutes everything is filled, the food is appetizing it is a fast food menu but it is very good especially the shrimp burrito, pizzas, and beef fajitas and drinks are of quality the best they have option to pay with bitcoin something that I do not have but for the people who use it it is great I suppose.

We stopped here for lunch one day and it was so delicious! My husband and I agreed that they were some of the best tacos we have had. The server was incredibly nice and attentive. He was great to our 4 year old. We played board games at our table and enjoyed margaritas! The space is really nice and the bar with all of the cool tiles is super cool. I highly recommend!

Great place for tacos and wings, hot dog special, small bite while walking during the day. Great place for live music, Bills games, and the crazy corner. Cheap beers, comfortable seating. Opens at noon, kitchen about 1pm. If they opened at 10, I would be there, short walk from Rosita hotel. Shared my hot dog bun with a butterfly. The hot was gd. As you can tell.

Delicious! Open air dining inside or out. We had the fish tacos, el pastor and papas con curry, all amazing. Plus the salsas are super yummy. The beer assortment is fantastic. We had local Mexican breweries, Buclas and Indecente. Highly recommend for the chill atmosphere.

Super leckerer Burrito, guacamole auch sehr lecker. Pizza war nicht ganz mein Geschmack. Service war solide. Es gibt ein paar witzige Gesellschaftsspiele, die sich jeder Gast leihen kann.

We have been past this bar/restaurant many times and thought it interesting. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall with 4 interior tables, two small Patios outside and and I would say very well patronized at least on Wednesday evenings. There was 4 of us, ordered drinks and some snacks. The space is small and there were patrons occupying all available space. It was difficult to have a conversation given the level of the music and the number of patrons. Everyone seemed to be very satisfied with what was taking place. I only have a couple of negatives. All the buses heading to Downtown drive past this location and It took over an hour for us to get an order of Nachos and then they were less than average. The other snack we had was the curry fries and they were very good. I’m rating this place a 4 more on what I observed than what I experienced.

Food was great, definitely worth the jaunt away from all the hustle and bustle of the Malecón. Started with the guacamole, which was plentiful and delicious, same goes for the fish and Korean tacos. The space is a little small so it fills up quick, but we didn’t wait long for a table. As we waited for our food we enjoyed a nice cold cahuama and listened to some live music. Highly recommended this spot. P.S. the salsas were also delicious, not super spicy but with very nice flavor.

Mama Caguama's is a friendly, neighbourhood pub and Takeria on the edge of the 5 de Diecembre area of Puerto Vallarta. The two of us each had the Burro de Camarone with chipotle Ceasar salsa, which was delicious . Accompanied by a beer each, our bill, with generous tip, was a very reasonable $500 MXN. We will definitely be back before the winter's over.

The service was great and sitting out on the little patio was definitely a nice spot to hang out and have a couple drinks but the food left something to be desired. It wasn't bad so don't misunderstand but it was just ok. It's one of those situations if I was there again and hungry I'd probably order but I wouldn't seek it out on my food hunt. I had the chicken nachos and my wife had the fajitas. In both cases the chicken was really dry and my nachos were pretty burnt. That being said I would absolutely go back for some drinks and try something else on the menu cause maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen. They do have live music from what I hear so would also go back to check that out

Great beer menu and excellent value cocktails, amazing fish tacos but avoid the fish & chips. Service is friendly, helpful and fairly swift. Stick with the more Mexican foods as these are generally pretty good. Avoid 'americana' menu items.

We ate here our first night in town(26 Dec 2024) before I remembered we were in Puerto Vallarta, it has been a few years since I've been here as we like to change up our destinations. I thought the prices were a little high, but maybe that was normal? God no! Just like Singapore, if you stick to tourist restaurants you pay crazy prices, this is one... walk another block and you'll find tacos half the price of the cheapest ones here and much better quality, this was merely passable, three drinks and nine tacos was already eight hundred pesos! You can buy a bottle of tequila for the price of one margarita, and basic al pastor tacos should be twenty to twenty-five pesos made fresh right in front of you. Beer can be found on the beach for forty pesos or one hundred for a four pack of tall cans out of the fridge at wallmart! And public drinking is not prosecuted.

Food was excellent. The sole staff member was not there to serve or help me Just to get payday. Very much not normal for PV. I expect better from a rated spot In low season. Maybe a bad day??

The staff is friendly and knows English rather well. It also has a chill atmosphere. The live music was good as well. However, the food could definitely use some improvement, and the menu is pricey for what it is.

Great atmosphere. However, the food fell short of my expectations for Puerto Vallarta. Ordered some tacos and they were pretty greasy and a little bit flat on the flavor.
