We celebrated my son's wedding at the Jedidiah Hawkins Inn in November. The experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The amazing and highly experienced staff were warm and friendly, catered to our every need and ensured that the entire event ran smoothly. The rooms were lovely, the grounds were beautiful and a perfect setting for photos, even in November. The food was outstanding both the reception dinner and brunch the next day. Multiple guests commented that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. The whole experience felt warm and intimate and went off without a hitch. I highly recommend.
We chose the Mattituck area for our "minimoon" celebration, and visiting Jedediah Hawkins Inn was easily the highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with amazing care; the hospitality here is truly top-tier. We started the evening in the Speakeasy, which has such a cool vibe—definitely don't skip a drink there! When it came time for dinner, the staff was incredibly accommodating and able to seat us a bit earlier than our reservation, which we really appreciated. The food was spectacular. I cannot recommend the burger enough, and the pork chop was honestly one of the best I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection. A huge thank you to our incredible server who went above and beyond to make our celebration feel one-of-a-kind. We can't wait to come back!
I found this place at the last minute and I am so happy to have found it. Stayed in the Rose room and it was so beautiful and cozy. We did not eat dinner there but the place was packed and everyone raved about the food. We did have breakfast and it was absolutely amazing. I would go just for breakfast. The service was 2nd to none. They let us go into the top floor room that houses the widows peak. It was stunning you could fit 20 people sleeping in that room. It is so worth staying there when visiting. Stay and have breakfast. Make sure to go into the speakeasy have a drink and get beat playing connect four.
It's hard to overstate how wonderful the staff and facilities are at Jedediah Hawkins Inn are. It was the perfect setting for our fall wedding and we got rave reviews from our guests about the delicious food and drinks (not to mention how beautiful the venue is). The inn rooms were delightful and the speakeasy was a fun way to end the night! Special thanks to Ilias for all his help during the planning process, Erin for how helpful and attentive she was during the day of proceedings, and Eugenia for all her help during the farewell breakfast on the morning after. We highly recommend you visit or stay here if you have the opportunity.
Thank you Ilias and the entire team for helping make our wedding an unforgettable and magical experience. Everything was perfect, our attendant Erin did an amazing job making sure we weren't stressing about anything and could just enjoy our wedding (which we did not expect to). Your team is highly skilled and seamlessly takes care of every detail. Our guests loved the venue and all of the food and drinks (whoever pulled all of the espresso is an unsung hero, the guests loved the espresso martinis). Even my picky Grandma was blown away. We will definitely be coming back for anniversaries. Thank you for giving us a perfect day we will always remember!
We had the honor of showcasing our DJ services for a wedding at Jedediah Hawkins this past weekend and they did not disappoint! Ilias and his team were amazing, and worked incredibly hard to make the beautiful couple's wedding dreams come true -- despite the nor'easter outside! We look forward to working there again in the near future!
A wonderful experience dining outside in the gardens with sunset sunlight streaming through the greenery. The food was exceptional a a delight to savor.
Intimate, Immaculate, Elegant My husband and I stumbled upon Jedediah Hawkins Inn years ago by mere chance since it was off the main road. It is still a hidden gem. As we drove by, we were in awe by the breathtaking Victorian Manor that sat behind the vintage gates. We've been going there for brunch and dinner every summer (because their Farm to Table food is AMAZING) when we go out east on Long Island to visit the vineyards. Once engaged, it clicked that this is where we should have our wedding especially for a more intimate affair (60-Person). We did look at other options like wineries and event spaces in the area but it is unmatched by JHI's value, quality, and offerings. JHI continued to impress and overdelivered on our expectations once we booked with them (granted we snatched the remaining June 2025 date and only had 4 months to prepare). They were open and responsive with our questions and vision. Our guests are STILL raving about how beautiful the property was, the exceptional food, and AMAZING service their team delivered. From start to finish, the attention to detail and intimate touch the staff provided was exactly what made our event so magical for everyone. We were told the entire wait staff felt like family at the end of the night. Other highlights: Lia, the owner I presume, is so sweet and we can tell she really cares for the property. Ilias who is in charge of operations and the restaurant is absolutely accommodating, on point, and was a pleasure to work with. Kelly, our event coordinator is awesome! She had every detail under control so that I was able to enjoy the evening. If this location is your vibe… Rustic chic, vintage, elegant If you're planning an intimate event with a smaller crowd If you need high touch service by staff that takes care of every single person If your priority to your guests is elevated farm-to-table dining & drinks I cannot recommend Jedediah Hawkins Inn enough. Even if you do not have an event here, I highly suggest coming for a meal, sitting on their patio or drinks, or explore the speakeasy. You will experience its charm the way we do.
The staff at Jedediah Hawkins went above and beyond to make my wedding perfect. Ilsa stayed on top of my itinerary and everything ran smoothly. I never had to worry. The food was incredible. My guest all plan on returning for the restaurant. The after party in the speakeasy was so much fun. They helped set up karaoke. And lastly the accommodations were comfortable and breakfast was delicious.
Just recently had my wedding there on 6/30/23. The staff was absolutely amazing and made sure everything went so smoothly. The grounds were beautiful and all of the guests loved this venue. Also the food was INCREDIBLE! all the guests raved about the food!!! The speakeasy was a very unique part of this venue and it was really fun for the after party. The rooms were vintage and beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay overnight. Book with Jedediah for your wedding!!!
We had a wonderful dinner and ate in the Speakeasy which is very romantic. Our dinner started with the seared cabbage with a creamy blue cheese, bacon crumbles and walnuts. We were just in the mood for burgers. Everything was delicious. Our servers were fantastic. The bacon-jam on the burgers is to die for and the crisp fresh pickles on the side are perfect. Fries were piping hot. Just a great meal in a great place. We finished our experience in the living room by the fire with a glass of Rose. Great value for money, experience and taste. Yummy.
Had my baby shower in the Solarium room and it was absolutely STUNNING. The room is beautiful and so peaceful. The food is absolutely amazing as well and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating throughout the day. Lia was great to work with and very responsive with every question I had. Lia and her staff made sure the day went off without a hitch, thank you to them! Would absolutely recommend doing an event here!
We had our wedding at Jedediah this past weekend and we cannot say enough amazing things about the entire experience. From the moment we visited the venue, Lia has been so helpful and accommodating. She would answer my emails promptly and with so much insight that planning a wedding was a breeze. The day of the wedding was magical, calm and we both felt so special. The staff's attention to detail, the service, the food, and the space could not have been more perfect. I wish I had more photos to share but I haven't gotten them back yet! Highly recommend dinner, a stay and a wedding here. Thank you everyone!! Love, Martyna & Jesse
Great place for a wedding. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent...
Did NOT stay at Inn, only had dinner. It's a lovely old Inn with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Plenty of parking, they have a yard and reception hall in the back. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The food was a small prefix menu, everything was great. I recommend this for a dinner and relaxing visit to the yard for those not in a rush.
Went here to eat tonight. What a wonderful place and the food was really good. If you're in the area this is a really cool place to check out. This is also a bed and breakfast that I think would be a lot of fun to stay at. Can't wait to go back.
My husband and I had our wedding at Jedediah Hawkins Inn on 9/22/23. From the moment we booked this venue, everything went so smoothly. Lia is the sweetest and easiest person to work with. Her staff really went above and beyond on our wedding day. It was the most perfect, stress free, and magical day and we owe a huge thanks to Lia and the staff at Jedediah for that. My guests are still raving about the food and the location. If you are looking for your perfect East End wedding - look no further!!!
I visited this hotel for a wedding in the barn and outside patio. It was beautiful.
Had our wedding here and booked the entire place for us and our guests. The staff was super accommodating and the rooms were very nice. The suite was HUGE and gives a great old fashioned feel with full views of the property. The food was beyond amazing and our guests could not have been happier! There is an old fashioned speakeasy in the basement tied to the history of the property that is a working bar with a great atmosphere to hangout. The property is also phenomenal for photo ops, can’t say enough good things about this place!
Absolutely OBSESSED with this venue! Jedediah is the perfect spot for an east end wedding that checks all the boxes. Lia is so incredibly kind, helpful and down to earth. Her & her staff do a phenomenal job for each event they host. We love every chance we get to photograph at this beautiful location!
Lovely atmosphere and exceptional food. A real treat for a special occasion.
Had our wedding at Jedediah Hawkins and it was the best day ever. It is such a quaint, unique place with so much to offer. The food is AMAZING and the staff is super attentive. JH is one of our favorite places and we will for sure be back!
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a day at the wineries, then a lovely dinner and a restful overnight stay. The staff was wonderful and the food was excellent. The breakfast was amazing!!! The buildings and grounds offer something for everyone and almost every occasion. We will be back!!!
Wow!!! Had an amazing one overnight stay at this beautifully restored Inn. We were greeted by Ilias who was so very nice and accommodating. Our dinner was so delicious and breakfast was outstanding. Such a fantastic place I can’t wait to go back:))
I had my wedding at Jedediah Hawkins a week ago. The moment we had dinner there on our engagement weekend I was convinced this was it. We visited the venue and after that the owner, Lia, was extremely available answering all my questions and very accessible via text and phone. In addition, the staff is amazing!!! It didn’t matter who was my bridal attendant, each person checked up on me and made sure everything was perfect. We had Korryn, Collin, Olivia, Eugenia and Elias taking care of us but honestly - they were all so sweet. They were so kind, easy going and caring. I felt so much support and care from the team and really couldn’t have had a more perfect wedding. Not to mention the food is amazing!!! My guests have been raving about the wedding and have booked weekends to visit through the summer. If not host a wedding you at least need to visit for a really awesome weekend. You will not be disappointed!!
We had my daughter's wedding there yesterday. If I could give more than 5 stars in all catagories, I would! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff goes above and beyond for everyone, so professional! They anticipate everything before you even know you need it. And the food...AMAZING! Farm to table fresh, and the chef is so creative. Do yourself a favor and visit Jedediah Hawkins Inn...even if it's just for brunch or dinner. Better yet, stay overnight in one of 6 gorgeous rooms and feel like you are Lord of the Manor 🤩
Jedadiah hawki s is a truly unique and romantic venue. Indoor seating includes a fireplace with traditional Victorian decor. There is a more casual dining area in the prior wine cellar that offers less expensive/ lighter fare with amazing cocktails in a speak- easy setting. We had dinner outside on the veranda overlooking the gardens on a beautiful evening. Service was impeccable. Food even better- highly recommend this restaurant.
We stayed in the Sage room. Our host Colin was SO accommodating, even offering us glasses of wine upon our arrival! Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but when we got back from dinner he left more wine, water and chips on the bar for us if we desired. The room was immaculate, bed was comfortable and luxury toiletries a nice touch! The complimentary breakfast absolutely exceeded our expectations. I wish we had known about their wedding venue when we were married 7 years ago. Needless to say we will definitely be back!
Upon receiving glowing reviews from multiple different guests, our front desk staff decided to try Jedediah out for ourselves. Ilias welcomed us very graciously, and his service was impeccable! Between the duck wings, short rib, and the chicken we could not choose a favorite! Even the dessert was beautifully prepared, and so delicious. The property was truly breathtaking with lots of history surrounding it. We will be recommending Jedediah Hawkins to all future guests! Thank you for such an incredible experience!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Jedediah Hawkins Inn. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and comfort of the Inn was wonderful. My wife was very impressed with the staff. They even have a Speak Easy which shows off its historic character and charm. I would definitely stay here again!
Our party of four had a most delicious brunch. We were inside, no problem with social distancing. Interesting menu with no shortages of what to choice. All four had different meals and were very pleased with our choices. Staffers delightful and decor interesting. Would highly recommend.
We couldn’t have picked a better place for our reception than Jedediah Hawkins Inn. The grounds and venue are stunning, full of character, and gave our guests such a memorable experience. The food was outstanding—beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious, with so many of our guests commenting on how much they enjoyed it. A huge thank you to Ilias, our event coordinator, whose professionalism and attention to detail made everything run seamlessly. And to Erin, our bridal attendant, who was wonderful—always one step ahead and made sure we were comfortable and cared for throughout the day. Jedediah Hawkins Inn is a truly special place, and the staff went above and beyond to make our wedding unforgettable.
Had a lovely dinner here. Crabcakes were definitely worth the price. Save room for their homemade desserts!!! Our server Gabby was attentive and knowledgeable.
I took my sister and her wife here for dinner and it was spectacular! The grounds are gorgeous and manicured( How do you keep the weeds out of your HUGE gravel driveway? ), The food was INCREDIBLY delicious. My halibut was perfect! I was spooning the gravy off the plate. My sisters, from Manhattan RAVED about their pasta and salmon entree. The service was wonderful, attentive yet not overbearing. Our sparling water was filled multiple times ( and we never had to ask). A delight on a hot summer night. Jordan our server was knowledgeable and pleasant. The peach cobbler with ice cream was phenomenal. We will definitely be back! Thank you for your hard work and excellence.
Fabulous get away ! The grounds were gorgeous with fresh flowers and old world charm everywhere. The home is perfected detail and charm in every room. The service top notch and the food wow!! Restaurant and breakfast was delicious!!! Priced so reasonable as well . Location also great. Beaches and wineries everywhere. We will definitely be back!!
We booked Jedediah Hawkins Inn last minute and couldn’t have been happier! Ilias kindly extended check-in just for us, which set the tone for an amazing stay. The inn is beautiful, cozy, and feels like home. Staff went above and beyond. even bringing ice cream to our room in a lovely container. Breakfast was delicious too. Truly a gem with outstanding hospitality. we’ll definitely be back!
Came for dinner. Elias (front of house) is the man! He confirmed my reservation prior to arrival and then greeted my party once on the premises and treated us like we were family. He is a consummate professional. The inn is absolutely gorgeous. The gardens, fountain, ivy, and architecture take your breath away. Dinner was delicious. Jed’s burger, salmon, and strip steak were all hits amongst my party. Drinks including an old fashioned and various martinis were just what the doctor ordered. Kelly our waitress was phenomenal and we left after dinner wishing we could’ve stayed longer!
Restaurant was fabulous!! Chrisy was our server and she was fabulous! I had salmon which was perfect!! The dessert was over the moon- brownie with pistachio ice cream!! Amazing!!!
I enjoyed dinner here on two different occasions, both with larger groups. The service and food were fantastic, and we had a great time. They were even able to accommodate my party at the last minute when another dinner reservation elsewhere fell through. I will definitely return when in the area!
Had my wedding here in October and it was amazing. The staff was super helpful and very professional. The grounds are beautiful and the suite is a photographer’s dream for photos. Erin, the bridal attendant, was THE BEST! She was there whenever I needed her but never in the way and knew what I needed before I even knew myself! The food was amazing and guests are still saying how they have never had such delicious food at a wedding. The chef was accommodating to our taste preferences and guests’ allergies. My husband and I are gardeners and the venue even developed a signature cocktail using fruit my husband and I grew ourselves. Breakfast the next day did not disappoint and the guest rooms are super cozy and comfortable. 100000% recommend. It can be hard to get an appointment for a tour but just keep trying till you get through!
The best of everything. Beautiful rooms, amazing staff, delicious food and drinks, a cool beautiful atmosphere. Amazing hosts for any occasion. I have been to multiple weddings held there and they were simply put , perfection. The food!!
I was a guest and attended a wedding here. The people who work here are so nice. We were made to feel at home. The woman who served us breakfast was so lovely. She was so patient with us all. The same goes for the bartenders at the wedding. They were kind but firm when closing the bar. The property is beautiful, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend staying here or having your wedding here.
Excellent bed and breakfast. It's as authentic as one can get. Stayed in a room with a gas fireplace, the breakfast was fantastic. The hosts were lovely. Can't wait to go back!
We did not stay at the Inn but had brunch there. Beautiful gardens, excellent food and our server, Kevin was amazing. Guided us through allergy questions and so pleasant. All the staff were great. Highly recommend and will return soon!
Where do I start! We had our daughter’s wedding there this past weekend. The property and accommodations are beautiful, extremely well-maintained, comfortable and overly welcoming! The staff couldn’t be more gracious and helpful, we wanted for nothing and everything was taken care of exactly the way we requested and beyond! Also, cannot say enough about the food, delicious! If anyone is considering holdings an event there, do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed! If you have no celebrations on the calendar, I would definitely consider booking a weekend getaway or, at the least, going for an outstanding meal! Looking forward to our next visit!!!
My husband and I got married here in 2021, and came back in Jan of 2026 for our baby shower. The best place on the east end! The food is amazing, and the service is unbeatable. Jedediah holds such a special place in our hearts, and truly a place that is just incredibly magical.
I had my 100 person wedding here 10/14/22 and I want to start off by saying this is one of the most beautiful wedding venues you could imagine! My husband and I have eaten here several times prior to booking our wedding and have always had an amazing experience and recommend it to everyone we know. Multiple guests told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. We originally booked our wedding with Grace, who could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and Lia, the owner, also went out of her way for us throughout the entire wedding planning process. We truly wanted to love every single part of our special day, however, I can’t give it 5 stars because of our experience with the new manager, Elias. I am not one to complain but he truly made me and several of my guests feel like a burden to him that day. He started the day off at 10am telling me while I was getting my hair and makeup done that he was short staffed and this was the first of three weddings that weekend. He made us feel extremely stressed and rushed from the moment he got there. I understand it’s a very stressful job however I don’t feel like he should have made the bride and her family feel like such a burden to him. We booked out the entire property and all 6 of the rooms as part of our contract so as you can imagine this was a very expensive wedding. There were also several instances that my guests brought up to me the following day in which he refused to serve certain drinks despite our contract having full open bar. He refused my husband’s boss a glass of scotch at the after party, in which my dad was paying the bar tab separately. We also heard he refused tequila and whiskey to other guests. Multiple guests told me he was very rude and I am honestly very embarrassed and my dad, who paid for most of this wedding, is furious. Again, we loved our wedding and had an amazing time but if you’re considering getting married here I would recommend requesting that you not have to have Elias involved with your wedding day. We really wish we could have worked with Grace.
Very pretty & charming with an old fashioned feel. The inside is tastefully decorated and the staff is quite nice. For such an upscale spot, though, I did expect more high-end type service. Food, when delivered, for example was just plunked down, not "presented" as one would expect from a more lavish spot. Nothing terribly wrong, I just think their servers need a little extra training in "fine dining". The food was good but the sides were super basic. White rice with zero garnish or flavor just was "meh". I would recommend this spot, but hope that my review is taken constructively for the management to train their staff a bit more. Coming from YEARS in the service industry myself, I do know what I'm talking about...
a great t experience here. Service was great. rooms are comfortable, had a king size bed, smart TV, no frig. Stayed in the middle of week so not very busy. Breakfast was part of stay and was fantastic
Restaurant review: beautiful building and grounds. Food was good, but nothing to write home about. We felt rushed to finish our courses and get the check.
I recently attended a wedding at Jedidiah Hawkins and while the wedding was absolutely remarkable (especially the food) i do feel as a guest some key factors need to be addressed. ⁃ We were told their would be valet parking but that did not happen. We found ourselves circling the small parking lot for over 15 minutes trying to squeeze our car into a spot (had to go and move it after the ceremony because we were going to be late from the scramble to park) ⁃ The bartender was rude and off putting. Their were many comments made about guests under his breath, he was insulting to the bride and his customer service skills were lacking. He may have been the only bartender for the entire wedding, but more of a reason to want to provide a great experience. ⁃ As originally mentioned the food was remarkable. The best food we’ve ever had at a wedding! All in all if you’re looking for a unique wedding venue with beautiful scenery incredible food and an intimate setting I would definitely consider Jedidiah, however I would recommend the owners focus on training their staff in how to treat guests and customers.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! To make a long story short we arrived a few minutes before our reservation for 5 at 7:30, and were told that it would be a 15/20 minute wait so we ordered a drink at the bar After about 30 minutes we were still not sat so the host covered the first round of drinks and an appetizer. After an hour and a half we were starting to get irritated. We were finally seated and when we got in the dining room it was EMPTY. We ordered right away and it took another 30 minutes for our food to come out. When we got the bill, we were charged for the second round of drinks we ordered while we were waiting which I found to be ridiculous because we would've never ordered another round if we had been seated on time. The host tried to make up for it but this is completely unacceptable and ruined my bachelorette night. Not to mention we were so tired we couldn't even eat by the time we were served. We didn't get out of there until 10pm and were promptly sent an email that our reservation had been cancelled???? I would avoid this place at all cost unless you want to pay a lot of money for a very low class experience
