Great food great staff. Drinks are always on spot. I love the boneless wings and dinner rolls also the steak salad all seafood dishes are amazing. Sam the owner is friendly and makes sure customers are treated right. The family is local and it is very nice to see this

Every time my wife and I have been here the food has been fantastic. Pricing is about what you would expect for this type of restaurant. Although we still somehow manage to come in under what we expect. Wait staff is knowledgeable in how the food is prepped and cooked which is good for someone like me with food allergies. Every time we have been here there has been a wait so we always make reservations.

Had a great steak dinner with a group of friends! Staff friendly, efficient and courteous. Food was delicious and served hot, wait time was well placed to compliment each course. The restaurant was very busy and the staff handled it excellently, saw no wait times.

Salmon Bruschetta is my go-to entree almost every time at Sam's. Hubby said his surf and turf was good ( but 4 shrimp would've been better than 2). The staff are professional and friendly. The live entertainment was relaxing and fun. Oh... and don't forget to try the bistro calamari!

The French dip is fantastic. ordered the pork chop and calamari. Both outstanding. ordered the chicken Alfredo. Outstanding also. Deserts and appetizer were also excellent. Server was outstanding. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was very nice. Overall outstanding evening.

We went to Sam's for lunch. Everything was great and the prices are reasonable. They have a full bar along with a fair assortment of drafts. I had shrimp Scampi which came with my choice of pasta. It contained 6 large shrimp. It tasted great and freshly made. My Scampi was 15 dollars which is a steal in today's world. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing service Danielle was my server she did Great very attentive came back smiling every single time. It was a live band that played very good music smooth tone it definitely set the atmosphere plus the food was the best I’ve had in the area I recommend the calamari and lamb chops presentation was good. This was our second visit to Sam's we had the mushroom swiss burgers which were cooked to perfection a perfect medium rare just like we asked for. They were juicy and beefy just like you would want out of a good burger not to mention they were a whopping 9oz. We had the seasoned fries which I think had a light batter on them they crisp on the outside and billowy on the inside. This place is a gem the prices were great. Definitely coming back we hope to try dinner next time. I Highly recommend it for really good filling meal.

Good food, very friendly server. I liked the booths that make it feel like a downtown bar & Grille. The waitress let us sit there for over 2hrs chatting, stopped to check up, still filled our glasses of ice tea. Top notch and much appreciated. Hope the tip was enough to show my appreciation.

I found your lunch menu by accident, ordered 2 reubens for hubby and me and a french dip for the unrefined and difficult to please adult son that just moved back home. We found my son rolling a bite of his sandwich around in his mouth, eyes closed, and a happy grin on his face and knew it was a hit! We went here for my birthday on Friday evening, and the food was simply spectacular and to die for! The service was prompt, atmosphere was incredible, and we could not have had a simply better time. everything was amazing from start to finish! The prices here are absolutely reasonable for the exceptional quality of the food. Portions are incredible as well!

A delightful place with large food servings. My Prime Rib Jr looked like it was half the cow! The food was delicious and beautifully plated. We were there for a wedding rehearsal dinner and the staff was very attentive. There's a bar area where they had live music playing soft rock type songs. I'm from out of town, but will definitely eat here when visiting.

We each had steak, NY Strip for my man and Delmonico for me. We got a baked potato and broccoli as our sides so we could share and he had steamed clams as an appetizer. The salads were fresh and delicious, as were the warm rolls, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Our server was very sweet.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner together. My wife had a special that was 3 different meats, 3 BBQ Ribs, 6 inch sausage sliced in half, and a flattened piece of chicken. She opted for the Cesar Salad instead of the house salad, it did require a $2 up charge. It also included a small bowl of roasted potatoes. I ate the last few bites as she was not able to eat everything that was served, very tasty indeed. I started with a bowl of seafood bisque. Then a broiled Salmon with a honey balsamic reduction with diced tomatoes. Very tasty indeed. Portions where very good, neither of us had room for dessert. The staff was friendly and always ready to meet any meds we had. 2 thumbs up all day for sure!

Overall a great experience! Our waitress Kendra was lovely and was excellent at serving. Stroganoff was tasty, haddock/shrimp was a little bit on the bland side for my preference but I definitely got the wine/garlic flavor. Maybe a tad expensive but still a great place to stop for a seafoody bite.

Our large group was seated immediately. Ordered the chicken marsala, and it was amazing! The bread and Ceasar salad were also very good. Everyone in our group was happy with the food and service. Highly recommend!

I visited Sam's for the first time this weekend and I am very impressed. The food is phenomenal, packed with flavor and well cooked. The staff payed particular attention to my dietary restrictions as well. Regarding beverages, we got to try two red wines and tsipouro, a Greek spirit (and one of my favorites), and absolutely no complaints there either. Adding the calming ambience, the nicely decorated bar and the friendly staff, I will be going back very soon!

I've been here a couple of different times, but tonight I got the chicken parm with angel hair pasta. It was excellent, and the French onion soup is fantastic. The portions are huge, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The place is relaxed but not too noisy. This place is quickly becoming my go-to.

Emma was such a joy to work with, and the wait staff were incredible as well , as they were very attentive and .ade everything less stressful!!! I would totally recommend this place

My husband and I went to Sam's for dinner for the first time last night. We were greeted so warmly by the bartenders, it was like they had known us for years! The owner even came out to personally greet all of the customers. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Deliciously prepared, large portions at very reasonable prices. We live over an hour away, but I am certain that we will be back because gems like this restaurant, are hard to come by. We confidently recommend it!

My family ate here after staying to mine some Herkimer diamonds. The food is very good. The fish was nicely cooked and the portions were large at moderate prices. What stood out most was, as weird as it may be, the tartar sauce. Maybe it was just craft or something, but it was excellent and really helped the fish stand out. Good stuff!

I had the Chef's risotto with shrimp, my husband had a seafood au gratin casserole. They were delish! I also had two Cosmo martinis that were perfect! Shannon was our server..and she was great!

My whole family’s spot for many years. Everything is delicious and you always feel at home. Our favorites are the affordable lunch specials with a soup and half sandwich. Drinks are also a deal (pictured is the holiday menu).

Fun atmosphere! Especially on Fridays when they ha e live music. The ribeye is delicious and the black n blue salad. Nice wine list

We stopped in for a quick lunch sat at the bar and were pleasantly surprised. The soup was great as we're the daily lunch specials which were sizable. Both went home in take out containers. We will go back and try out dinner soon.

The soup sea food bisque was terrible. No seafood at all only chunks of potatoes and bits of carrots in a watery soup. Thank God I only order the cup. At $4.50 a cup. Told the waitress as she could see I didn’t eat it. Maybe they didn’t know bisque are thick and creamy. Other then that the food was fair. Don’t go when the first open. The best the atmosphere. They never took the soup off the bill. That is bad for business. she even agree that was not a bisque.

Pretty good good, but definitely overpriced. Been here a handful of times. Got salmon once and it was dry; I make better salmon. Prime rib is pretty good. Sides are pretty good. All in all decent food but not always worth the money.

The portions are small and expensive but the taste is on point. For theb3 of us it was a little over $100. You may have to break the bank to eat here but its a nice comfortable setting and we had a very friendly waitress.

I have been here multiple times. This is a decent steak house and service is good. The menu is ok but I struggle to find a variety of meals I would try. I would like to see more variety but this is simply a wish list. They have a full service bar and cocktail menu. The cocktails they used to have were better. I tried most of their new ones but nothing great. Bring back the Crocodile Cooler...again my wish list. I will dine here again and it's one of the better restaurants in the area.

Large table experience: appetizers - calamari, stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes. Lots of different dinners, around the table. Steaks looked great. Seafood looked great as well. I had a pasta special with chicken, Italian sausage, and pesto. It was good, but not great, portion size was too large, I would have rather had a small portion with fresher pasta (and less pasta to protein ratio). Service as great! A very good evening out!

Pretty good food for decent prices. Service was training another, but they were both attentive and accurate. Atmosphere was a bit bland with an olive garden type open floor feel but less decorations.

Four of us went for lunch. 3 soups served cold but waitress was very nice and brought them back to heat. My half corned beef sandwich was piled high on really good bread. A friend ordered the Greek salad. Her eyes were huge when it was served. Could have fed 3 people! I think there were at least 7 lunch specials. That was a pleasant surprise. Would recommend.

Most food was excellent but steaks were obviously a lesser cut of meat than I would expect. No marbling and tough for a delmonico. This seems to be the case lately at most steak places though probably due the soaring beef prices. All in all good place to eat.

Watch out for disgruntled Salt Bae in the back. But hear me out first. Half of what we ordered was heaven; only the other half felt like the Salt Bae's evil twin got to some of our dishes; I'm going to call him Salt-Boo. The Seared Scallops were perfect; taste and texture, and the Penne a la Vodka was a party on our palate. The Baked Salmon was typical, but kudos to not drying out the salmon. Luckly Salt-Boo didn't get to these orders or the salad. Not to mention the free-flow bread rolls that tasted great! (Needs olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip them in though, but I won't be too fussy about this.) Unfortunately the Pork Loin and Bacon in Brown Ale Sauce and one of the penne sides were not safe from Salt-Boo's mischief. The Chicken Noodle soup was too salty. The French Onion Soup was more salt than soup or onion. And I don't know what happened to the Wellingtons, but they were not as crispy as they should be. I will give one whole star for the service alone. Our server was very courteous and helpful. She even got the Salt-Boo-touched penne side replaced. And while I'm pretty sure it's already covered in the cost of the meal, the refreshing sorbet to cleanse our palate before the entrée was a nice touch.

I only give three stars because while their food is usually very good it is not very consistent. We have had amazing meals there and than gotten the same things another time and it wasn't as good. I would recommend this restaurant and hope you get a day where the employees are on point and it will be enjoyable! One thing that never disappoints though is the onion rings with the chipotle dipping sauce!!

Bartender's concoctions are always fun! Celebrated my husband's birthday with an amazing root beer float martini! However, our stuffed mushroom appetizer came out Luke warm to ice cold (it was made right and was hot and absolutely delicious!), then our dinners were delivered but we had no silverware to eat it with. We had to ask for bread and our water was never refilled. The dessert menu was interesting, but we were told there was birthday cake so we decided to split a piece. It was previously frozen and tasteless. I love this restaurant so, needless to say, I was disappointed - especially since it was a special occasion. We will go back, but not for a celebration of any kind 😔

Second time here and I'm calling it mediocre at best. Salad was not great to start things off,it was not iceburg lettuce it was bitter tasting endive type not a good start. Next was the broiled NE platter,decent size portoins of haddock,scallops and shrimp but the downfall was the scallops and haddock had no broiled color to them therefore the fish and scallops were mushy not broiled firm and not alot of taste. Prices were more reasonable than that of nearby Raindancer but there is a difference so it's your choice pay up or pay down.

I waited three weeks to rate as I really wanted to think it through. Adequate was my first impression. Every aspect was carefully managed. The salad was small, but the ingredients were fresh and varied. The dressing was diluted, yet with half and half. The steak had been frozen, so they increased the size. I shudder at the thought of how hard it would be to maintain this business during covid-19. I will give them another try. Oh, prices were reasonable for a better quality steak-house.

First off service is always good, I have been here a few times since they've opened. The food is OK at best with times of being good, I have had some of the worse steaks I've ever had here. The burgers are good at times and as for the JD St. Louis ribs they were pretty bad especially being a special. As for tonight we were seated at a table that had paint peeling and falling from the ceiling. It's like Jason Mamoa showed up once and the owners have been riding the coat tails of that event with the food quality going down ever since.

We went to Sam's for a family Christmas get together (11 people). Unfortunately, there was a much larger group of people (20+) seated in the same section as us who were extremely loud to the point we could not hear each other or the waitress (name escapes me). My daughter made a request of them if they could be a little more respectful of others. In turn one of them stood up and said in an extremely loud voice something about a family member. After that they were extremely loud throughout the meal. Another table asked to be seated elsewhere because of the noise level; they were not happy. I felt bad for the waitress because she was unable to hear our orders or requests throughout the dining experience. When we have eaten there before with other large groups, it wasn't a problem. Not sure what could have been done to fix this but maybe Sam may want to think about doing a banquet room set up with walls to absorb loud noises from large groups so other diners can enjoy their own quieter dining experience.

The service was great in the beginning, kind waitress, the food was mostly disappointing. Gritty seafood bisque, delicious steak, actually, but the vegetables on the side were soggy and bland. Super disappointed with the penne. The pasta was resting in a soup! I'm not sure if they didn't drain it fully or they were trying to make a sauce but it just was extremely unappetizing and not good. WAY watery, ugh. I took a very long time for the waitress to come back with the bill. We will probably not visit again

Have been here many times in the past. Usually very good. Always a bit pricy. This time however the service was bad. The water was served to us with no ice. The usual sherbet they give you b4 the meal was forgotten. The prime rib was tough with grizzly fat throughout. Hopefully this was an anomaly. I will try it once more in the near future. If it is anything like this visit I will never return. The food is too expensive to be at best mediocre

Went for lunch on Friday October 13th. I guess it was bad luck. Me and my Husband were not happy with our food. We ordered burgers and fries. The burger was supposed to be a medium cook. It was closer to rare. My husband had bacon and cheese on his. The bacon wasn’t even cooked for more than 2 minutes. Looked disgusting. My burger was not cooked well either. My toppings were roasted red peppers and provolone cheese. It looked like it was thrown on the burger. The waitress was very sweet and apologized for our meal when we complained. I hope who ever was the chef gets a LOT more training.

We were hopeful and excited being the out of towners that this would be nice dining experience. We were sorely disappointed. But first the positive because fair is fair and I am not one to cast shame without acknowledging where effort is made. The positive: staff were very friendly and we were pleased with how quickly we were seated, especially because the first restaurant we went to turned us away because we didn't have reservations. From the moment we sat down our waitress was attentive, polite and checked back multiple times. The restaurant as a whole seemed clean and also by all appearances was a popular place to eat. The negative: for 140$ Dinner, WAY over priced for the quality of food you are getting. Both my wife and I ordered filet mignon and lobster tail. And we ordered a seared sea scallop appetizer (biggest concern and frustration with the app, get to that in a moment). The filet was mediocre at best, very dry and without flavor. The lobster tail again mediocre and Ive tasted better at those large chains that we would rather not go to, I wish we did tonight. Now for the concern...Beware! We were served scallops with one of them being spoiled, I knew by the mouth full of ammonia taste I had when I bit into it. It was terrible and brought tears to my eyes. I immediately brought this to the waitress' attention and she apologized up and down (doing a great job with customer service 👏). She returned moments later and informed us that the restaurant offered to buy us a dessert for our trouble. To which we politely declined. We then got our bill. 140.00$ and the appetizer was still on the bill. ??? Where is management, where is the ownership here folks? We are talking about possible food poisoning! Disappointed yes! Poor dining experience yes! Potential in your restaurant Absolutely! Posting this review on other sites....yes and yes. Calling health department, maybe, I will see what the next few hours brings for me.

We had to send the seafood platter back because first It was cold then it was rubbery. The lentil soup tasted funny. We left still hungry and very disappointed. I don't think we will be back.

Used to really enjoy this place very much. Went last night to find that the menu had changed and some very good dishes had been removed. I tried a new new dish and it was not very good. I told the server I didn’t care for it. She took my plate and came back to tell me Sam wouldn’t remove the dish from the bill but he would remove my drink. Fair enough I guess since I did eat some seafood out of it. Overall very disappointing dinner for all the people within my party.

Food was okay. My dad did not finish his Caesar salad, he said the lettuce was bad. The rolls were good and the bisque was good. I ordered a steak medium well, it came out rare, the waitress tried to say it was only the side, had to ask for her to take it back. Had already been waiting way too long for dinner. The ginger ale was flat (and no check in for refills). Please step up your game. Still waiting as I write this review..... The server did treat us to desserts which was nice.

The food was ok. We had the stuffed mushrooms they were great, the fried mozzarella was nearly tasteless, he got the chicken and broccoli Alfredo, it was also tasty. I order the chicken parm the waitress brought me chicken Marsala then blamed me and said that’s what I ordered. I didn’t, I don’t eat Marsala. So I had to wait for them to fix it. By the time I got my food, my husband was finished so i ate a little (not bad but a mess you could clearly see they just rushed to throw it together) and boxed the rest. The inconvenience alone is enough for me not to go back. I don’t mind paying to eat out but having to eat separately from the person I came to eat with and our bill still being $80 is asking too much.

On the positive side, the service was well timed and the menu was somewhat extensive. Unfortunately the food went from acceptable to not very good. The prime rib was acceptable but my partner had a mixed seafood plate that neither of us could eat. We did take it home and fed it to the dogs. Another total meal ruining experience was when 2 young men came in and sat in the booth in front of me where I had to look at someone that was never taught proper etiquette and wore his hat backward, his little friend also wore his hat through dinner. We won't go back.

A little bit bummed. The steak tough. The clam risotto was too salty and the "fried cheesecake" had zero mention of it being banana cheesecake. Seafood chowder was good and the wait staff was nice.

When Sam's first opened we had great experiences here and great food! Unfortunately, the past few times we have dined here it has been horrible. Last nights dinner was a disaster. I had to ask for utensils, there was hair in the mashed potatoes, no bread was brought out for salad/soup. Unfortunately, our whole dining experience was extremely less than what we were hoping for. This was the 3rd time we have tried our luck here hoping that it was just a fluke but it has proven time over time nothing has changed. It's a shame really because at one time it really was a great dining experience.

Don't even think about eating there and be young,dark skinned or an out of towner. Your reception will be bland. Ordered salmon bruschetta and lady gave me a total of $27. Got there and they added an extra charge for my 2nd side. ??? I said ok. $29. Then they give me no cutlery for my fish and forget my salad. All that on top of a luke warm reception. They did not deserve the $2 tip for carry out.

We went in Saturday Night with a party of 6 and had a 6pm reservation. We ordered appetizers (fried mozzarella, stuffed artichoke hearts, chicken wings and crab cakes) that came to the table cold. Our dinners took 1.5 hrs to get to our table, after the order was taken. Then our cousin spoke directly with Sam the owner in regards to the very extended wait time, he basically did nothing but give us a free bottle of wine. Our poor server Ila was trying her best to try and get our food out to us but this long delay was no way her fault. The kitchen staff dropped the ball and could not keep up with the busy night with 2 very large parties that were scheduled, and the regular patrons. Our food was packed to take home (for those in the area) and to our hotel as we were in town visiting family. Once we were back in our room my husband tried to eat his Chicken Penne with Vodka Sauce but had to throw it out as it’s only flavor was garlic. Don’t get me wrong he is Italian and loves garlic but even this was too much for him. We have been to Sam’s many times before and have always had great service and food was always amazing. But this experience has really made us think about another visit to Sam’s. So with tip our bill was $285.00 for terrible kitchen service and an owner who could not even take care of his patrons.

The food was terrible, the service was mediocre at best, and the bathrooms smelled like a homeless person crapped their pants and died. Unfortunately, that smell lightly trickled out into the restaurant. We had hoped for better, but not likely something you'll find in this town, at least from our experience during our not short enough visit.

I ordered the steamed clams appetizer which I’ve had before and they were horrible. It usually comes out in a garlic seasoned broth of some sort with garnish on top. It used to be amazing. This looked like it was in dirty dish water and the clams were full of water also. They had no taste for $15. The Fried mozzarella app squirted water out of the squares of mozzarella, I’ve never experienced anything like that. The balsamic salad dressing was the worst dressing I’ve ever had on a salad and I eat out a lot. They used to give you an Italian ice to cleanse your pallet in between meals and they don’t do that anymore I guess. I’ve had great meals at Sam’s before, but they seem to have fallen off. For the amount of money, you spend to have a nice dinner out this place is not worth it anymore. I will never be eating at Sam’s again.

the best thing i did the next day after eating the chicken marsala was throwing up. i don't need to hit the gym for today and tomorrow my chest did all the work. and one last thing to note was when walking in it smelt like a generational fish market from Sweden.
