This is the most divine Thai food I’ve ever had. It was more of an experience than a meal. The service was impeccable—attentive and kind. The atmosphere made me not want to leave. The food, my goodness, from the Thai tea to the sushi bomb to the sticky rice…. I’ve found my new favorite restaurant. AND felt like I owe them money for what I paid!!!
Found this hidden gem on my way home and hands down the BEST sushi EVER!! I wanted a boat (something they serve with dining in) but I was taking it to-go. They offered to make me the most beautiful platter for takeout (attached below). The pricing was amazing and the service was fantastic! I live almost an hour away from this place and I will 1000% make the drive again just for their sushi. Plus the playlist in the restaurant was fire 🔥
Pleasantly surprised just how great our sushi lunch and pad Thai lunches were! Super friendly service and our meals were fresh with lots of balanced flavor and tasty sushi. The restaurant was very clean and it's nice that Rama V stays open after lunch (unlike a lot of sushi restaurants). We'll be back for more in the future!!
We just finished our delicious authentic meals at Rama V Express (located in the small shopping mall across the street from Costco- Northlake). What a great find!! We ordered from the lunch Thai and Sushi menu. The food was super flavorful and plentiful! Everything was so fresh. The lunch included a side of fresh fruit that was nicely washed as well. The restaurant was very clean. The bathroom was also very clean and tastefully renovated. We are thrilled to find a great and delicious restaurant along a stretch of Northlake that's devoid of a nice place to sit and have a delicious meal after (or before) our Costco runs or for a nice dinner! We will definitely be back!
I had a fantastic experience at Ramav Thai and Sushi. The presentation was absolutely beautiful from the fresh fruit carved with care to the glossy pastries and vibrant main dishes, everything looked as good as it tasted. I started with a delightful appetizer plate featuring crackers, baked brie, fruit (the carved green apple and rose-shaped strawberries were a lovely touch), and a delicious pastry topped with a sweet red glaze — it was both elegant and satisfying. The main dish was just as impressive. The chicken fried rice was flavorful and full of tender chicken, perfectly cooked vegetables, and aromatic spices. It came with juicy grapes, a fresh cucumber slice, and even a crispy spring roll with dipping sauce. The sticky rice and small citrus fruit were a refreshing balance to the rich meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the attention to detail really made the meal special. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious, authentic Thai food with a thoughtful presentation!
Kellie was amazing she was are waitress and was so nice ! The food was great I ordered the shrimp tempura and Thai tea and the food was amazing everything cooked perfectly. Very clean restaurant with very friendly staff and friendly environment. I love this place my dad comes here every Sunday and I definitely will be going back.
Here’ Chicken Katsu – 3/5 Crispy fried chicken breast served with mixed vegetables, jasmine rice, and katsu sauce. I didn’t enjoy the sauce (thankfully it was served on the side rather than poured on top). The chicken was a thin filet with a heavy coating, not very flavorful. I personally wouldn’t order it again. Steak Teriyaki – 4/5 Sliced grilled N.Y. steak with mixed vegetables, teriyaki sauce, and rice. Served appropriately medium rare, looked appetizing, and was well-prepared. Pad Thai – 3/5 Stir-fried rice noodles with egg, ground peanuts, scallions, and bean sprouts. We ordered it mild for a baby, so it lacked spice. Everything was fresh, but the flavor was simple. Fries – 5/5 Thick, potato wedge–style fries with a solid coating, served piping hot. Excellent texture and flavor. Chicken Tom Yum – 5/5 Fresh and flavorful with a strong mushroom profile. Good quantity of broth and vegetables—very satisfying. Overall Experience • Clean, aesthetically pleasing space with seating for about 8–9 tables. • Every corner had attention to detail, with charming cat-themed décor. • Dishes were served in disposable bowls and plates. • Service was quick—our mains came promptly, and I noticed 5–6 takeaway orders while dining, suggesting it’s a popular to-go spot. • Main courses were accompanied by rice and steamed vegetables, which were fresh and perfectly cooked (not soggy). • Not overly spicy—perhaps a reflection of their style, catering to those who prefer milder, fresher flavors. • Owned and operated by a woman entrepreneur; our server (possibly the owner) was friendly and courteous. Final Thoughts While I’m not a big Thai food lover and prefer bolder spice, I appreciate the freshness, quick service, and welcoming atmosphere here. It’s worth trying, especially if you like lighter, less spicy Thai dishes.

This is a cozy little place with Big Flavor! We Were a party of three and tried several dishes. This is my green curry which was fabulous and unagi inside out rolls.
A must go place, Kelly was more than amazing, so sweet and me as a celiac person she was so patient explaining me my best options. The food was also amazing. We are not from the area but we will have an excuse to come back soon. My son said was the best sushi he ever tried.
Finally, some amazing fresh sushi! We just recently moved from the West Coast of Florida from the Tampa area. We have been searching for an amazing Sushi and have finally found our hotspot. The fish is so fresh and delicious flavors. The color is very vibrant. You can tell that everything is fresh. I love the tempura sushi. It’s perfectly coated and not excessively heavy. We ordered out, but can’t wait to go. Have dinner there soon!

What a wonderful place for lunch and I am sure probably dinner as well. The food was very fresh. The food came out fast. The presentation was good and the customer service was beyond friendly! I will definitely frequent this establishment many more times!
Absolutely amazing, we order a variety from the lunch menu and loved them all. we tried to pad thai, pad sewi and chicken fried rice and truly i have to say they are all amazing but the pad thai was definitely my favorite. Everything came out hot and very fresh

I recommend this to all my friends and family and anybody else that would like an authentic Thai Cuisine.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat and we came across this restaurant. My wife is Thai we were a little hesitant to go in but I'm so happy we did. It was a warm welcome and when the food came my wife was very excited and so was I but my wife said this is some of the best Thai food she's ever had it's authentic. Em was super nice and friendly. awesome little gem!! calming, peaceful atmosphere to enjoy some great food. the pad thai was delicious and plentiful. we had 3 sushi rolls and they were excellent. the rolls were large and packed full of fresh ingredients. all of the sauces were authentic and flavorful. for desert we had the coconut cake which was very good--not too sweet but sweet enough. the prize of the night goes to the sticky rice and mango. Seriously folks, I've never had anything quite like this dish. the freshest mango slices surrounding a generous mound of sticky rice (shaped like a heart) covered in an outstanding coconut milk sauce that brings it all together--an absolute delight. the staff was super friendly and answered all our questions about the food. you can tell that there is a lot of love and pride that goes in to these dishes. thank you Rama V
