Excellent beer, outstanding staff who are all friendly and take any time that you need to explain their beers or offer a taste. Dubs BBQ chicken meal was exceptionally good! Special thanks for the excellent HARVEST HOSTing: truly appreciate it!

Stopped by this brewery after visiting Ausable Chasm. I tried the sour and it was out if this world. If I had the room on my bike I would have gotten a few of the to-go sours. If you're a ginger person and need a drink that's non alcoholic, the ginger beer soda was also very good. Great ginger and clove taste. Side note from the drinks, they had a BBQ truck there and it was equally as fantastic. Got the half rib dinner. The ribs were fall off the bone and the sides were so tasty. I'll recommend this place to everyone I know, great job by everyone!!

What an amazing place!!! We came up for the eclipse with no real destination and landed here. From the hockey themed drinks to the amazing staff we had the most perfect time. I particularly loved the Wayne Legitzky Pale Ale. The food truck on site also was bangin, we ordered one of everything and none of it disapointed. Can't thank the staff at Ausable Brewing for helping create a once in a life time oppurtunity. We'll be coming back real soon.

Decent food truck. Decent beer selection. Many picnic tables with umbrellas & some unde4 cover. Not sure what they do in winter? It was all a happy place after long day of physical activity!

We fell upon this place as they were having their anniversary party. It was a great time with amazing beers. I made a tie dye shirt, saw some live music and fire dancers. We would definitely stop by this place again. Friendly and good vibes.

We made the trip here twice in one weekend. Once to get tickets for the eclipse viewing and once more for the actual eclipse day. Their beer, cider and soda are just fantastic. The family had a great time. The folks at this place made sure we were taken care of, comfortable and entertained. This means a lot to a family and we will be forever grateful for the experience. When we talk about once in a lifetime experiences, ausable brewery will forever be part of our vocabulary.

Really good beers, I got the flight to try out some different beers. Every one of them was really good. The best green beer I have ever had, it's wasn't some beer with green food coloring. Real thought went into it. I will be back again for sure!

So much fun! Small, outdoor (there is an open barn in case of weather or to get out of the sun) brewery with that small, hometown country feel. Unfortunately, the food truck (BBQ) wasn’t to my liking but if you like the simple, country vibe and live music, this place is for you! Oh, and the beer is pretty darn good!!

We went there a little bit randomly as we were In the late afternoon, and what a place we found ! Microbrewery local beers, in a rustic and charming little « barn », we were surrounded by a lot of people, having a good time. A band started playing at 5pm. People danced, beer poured and dranked, it was a lovely end of afternoon. If i ever get the chance to come back there, i will gladly sit again clapping at the rythm of the music. We got a hat as a souvenir for this really nice moment. So all in all, please go visit this place, you won’t regret it !

Ausable Brewing Company has become one of my go-to stops any time I'm visiting the Peru / Plattsburgh area. Their beers are tasty and refreshing, their giant open-air barn is always accommodating, the vibe and atmosphere are welcoming and positive, and there's usually a food truck with some sort of tasty dinner item (or three) to compliment drinks. This visit in August 2023 included some rockin' live music from a band with a drummer who vaguely resembled Squirrely Dan. Does it get any better than this?

This brewery is conveniently located 3 minutes away from Ausable Chasm, a perfect place to stop after a long hike. They have an nice setup outside for the warmer months, with a barn for live music and tables and chairs scattered around. The area had a lot of shade when we went in the late afternoon, which I really appreciated. You can try a flight of 4 beers for $10. I personally loved the Hufflepuff Hefeweizen since it was super light and perfect for the summer. They offer food on certain days, so I would definitely check their website for the schedule. I would return again if I’m in the area.

What struck me most is how this brewery strikes a chord of greatness while staying humble and grounded in nature. These are beers made to be beer first, flavor second, meaning even the fruited sour showcases the yeast and fermentation profile before the fruit character hits. The pale ales are dry and crisp, yet layered with flavor. The use of rye in multiple styles is especially well done, pulling out rye’s sweetness without tipping into harsh grain bitterness. There's an emphasis on brewing tradition here, but also a willingness to experiment with local, farm-to-glass ingredients in a way that feels authentic and not gimmicky. Highly recommend to anyone who loves classic beer styles approached with care, creativity, and a deep connection to the land. Bonus for friendly, generous and knowledgeable staff.

I have had some of their brews before I’ve put a prolonged hiatus on my own intake of alcohol due to the abuse of it. Definitely my favorite brewery of this area during my drinking days. Some breweries have similar notes and finishes from brew to brew. Ausable Brewing has a very different feel with an acute attention to detail for the broad palate of what they offer, even with their n/a offerings of ginger soda and root beer. The owners are very chill and down to earth people; which blends into the atmosphere of their outdoor/indoor seating areas. Hanging out here you get gorgeous views of being in a lush outdoor environment small towns offer. There’s lots of outdoor space to roam around for dogs and kids as well as patrons. The clientele that comes through are generally the laid back population that has no intention of causing a ruckus. Definitely a place to try when visiting the area.
