Alethea was our waitress and she was awesome. The food portions were very hearty and tasty. This is not gourmet food but it is well worth the price for fast convenient food. Bathroom and restaurant was clean and management had a notice up incase clients were dissatisfied in any way to please give them a call. ...and we did see the waiter who could carry a lot of plates...very impressive.

Krystal was very nice and checked on us to ensure we were happy.

This restaurant reminds me of why I once loved IHOP. So many IHOP's across the country have declined in terms of quality of service and food that I was skeptical about whether or not I should dine here. I ordered the Colorado omelette. The food was picture perfect and delicious. The service was quick and staff are very courteous. For the Covid concerned, this place has been Fort-Knoxxed to protect staff and customers. If you are like me and have had poor service experiences at other IHOP's give this restaurant a shot. You won't be disappointed.

We eat here at least once a month and always have a pleasant experience. Today my Mom and I decided to have breakfast there and our server, Tex, said something while we were mentioning how everything on the menu looked great… he said “I wish they would have used a different font”. As he walked away, my Mom and I smiled at each other because we knew that this gentleman pays close attention to detail and that we were going to have a great time. Sure enough, he took our straw paper and napkin ring wrapper while taking our order and everything was served to perfection not forgetting a single detail while always keeping our table clean. Thank you Mr. Tex, please keep up the phenomenal service, it really matters to those of us who take care of others but rarely remember to take time for a break ourselves. Well done.

As soon as we entered 2 pickup food, the hostess greeted my wife & myself very professionally. Ask whether we were dining n & we replied, we were there 4 a pickup order. He offered us 2 free drinks while we waited. Environment was very clean & comfortable. We didn't wait long. Got home & the food was still hot & it was definitely fresh. Food (hamburgers/fries) were better than good, & pancakes (full stack) were delicious!! I give IHOP a 5 stars & highly recommend it! Much appreciated the service & food.

Greeted and seated immediately. Server had drinks delivered within minutes. Orders placed and hot food on table in a timely manner. Server was attentive to us and his other tables. We had a variety of foods included in our family's order .. my French toast was absolutely the best I've ever tasted. Everyone was pleased and completely satisfied with breakfast.

We stopped in to have breakfast and the service was sub-par. The hostess told us to sit wherever we wanted, so we did. It took the waitress 5 minutes to bring us menus and take our drink order. Now 5 minutes isn't a long time but it is when there's only 10 other people in the whole restaurant. Then took another 10 minutes to bring our drinks and take our food order. That's where things got better!! The kitchen was QUICK and they made one of the BEST Colorado omelets I've ever had! The service also got a little better after that. But again the food was delicious!!

Our waiter TEX was great. We never had to ask for a refill he cleaned off the table with every visit to our table... He put in early order for my son n niece so they can get to work on time. He fixed the tea.. it was way sweet n very light he got us fresh sweet tea. Brought everything we needed to the table before we even had to ask. He is an old school waiter. An d did a great job... We were a party of ten... Thank you for the great experience and service TEX.

Amazing experience!! The manager was very helpful and gave me exactly what I wanted. Not very many places give you exactly what you ask for. It was a little busy, but my server Brandy made sure to continue to check on me and make sure everything was great. Stopped for a early breakfast and as soon as we walked in the waitress started complaining about having to be there and then asked us not to order anything big???? Then she couldn't even write our order down right. Never refilled my tea and then she was asking another person for pain pills!!! I think IHOP needs to pay closer attention to their employees 🤔

The restaurant was clean, and the tables were wiped down. The staff were friendly, and prompt. Our waiter did a great job. However, the food wasn't on par with the rest of the service and restaurant. The manager had to go into the kitchen to relieve her cook, and make the food. Nothing negative to say about anyone there. Nothing bad to comment on. But, the place could stand to get a cook that knows their way around a kitchen. And preferably one, that at least knows how to cook an egg. The manager shouldnt have to stop everything they're doing and go stand in the kitchen and cook. Although, the hiring of competent people, falls on the manager... I think it's fairly basic to know how to make eggs and bacon. Feel like the "cook" might have lied on the application. The only recommendation I have, is to get your hands on a good cook. Everything else was really great, and made the dining experience really nice.

It's hit or miss here. The staff is always very friendly, but you can tell they are overworked and underpaid. Some times you'll see the servers running into the kitchen to cook because they'll be understaffed. Food will sit on the transfer zone for over 10 mins because they can't run the food out when they are cooking. Quality of the food hours down too when they are busy. Love the crew, they're always so nice, just wish the owner would hire more people and pay comparative wages so people would stay.

This place can use some better management the restroom smells, the ceiling was leaking water and dripping.

When you walk in there was a strong smell of sewer. Probably because the restrooms are right there behind the reception desk not what you want to smell before you go in to eat breakfast. The food was okay we were hungry but won't be a place we go back to.

I was driving through and stopped with my family of 6. There were no other customers in the building when we ordered and waited almost 30 minutes for our food to come out. The food was good but wasn't hot. It was warm, and service was slow for being the only table in the restaurant. The restaurant was clean, though, and our server was sweet.

I may never eat at an IHOP again after visiting this location. Came about 9 PM at night and it was almost 15 minutes before a host even came by to seat us. Then almost another 15 before our server came by. Then took more than an hour for our food to show up!! Then part of the order come and not the rest. The waiter did all he could but to no avail. The place is run down and kind of icky inside.

Food is ok and the service was good. Our waitress, Priscilla was very nice and took good care of us. The building has a mildewy smell. The men's restroom is plain nasty. The floor was very wet and slippery. My wife said the women's restroom was also bad. The floor was soaked and very slippery. She almost fell in there after having slipped. This building really needs attention.

Our server was great!! However whoever cooked it meal tonight did not satisfy us. My eggs were pretty much served raw, and my husbands pancakes were small, management was very cooperative and apologetic. We're not going to come back to eat though.

Terrible coffee, cold hash browns, and the wrong order. I paid extra for food I didn't receive. The waitress stood ten feet away and mumbled through her mask. She seemed sweet enough, but it was very frustrating. Not a great experience.

Hubby suggested we get breakfast at IHOP Kingsville this am. Haven’t been in a while. Twenty minutes from house. Ordered the eggs Benedict. The ham was going rancid. Quietly told the waitress. She spoke to the manager. I got a 20% discount. I did eat the egg & English muffin. Waitress didn’t return to table until we were almost done and asked how it was. Waitress never made eye contact. Sorry, but probably won’t go back again soon.

Our waitress and staff are very kind. Food tasted fine however the portion of egg for the pancake combo and the sampler was laughable. It says it’s supposed to be two scrambled eggs we got what looked like half an egg. No exaggeration, we are not a family to complain but it was very disappointing the amount of egg we got with our plate. I know eggs are expensive now but that was too stingy.

I was enjoying myself until I saw how dirty the screen on one of the registers was.. I saw at least 5 different employees touching it and nobody cleaned it. I can only imagine how the kitchen area is. I guess they don't sanitize anything..

Would love to give it a -5 but that’s not allowed & I need to warn people. There was only 1 other table of customers when we arrived @ 5:35p and we’re seated. We watched 3 people stand @ the cash register talking until 6 when they took our order. App came at 6:10 with the wrong dip. Had to flag another person to get it fixed because our server never returned. Food came @ 6:20. 1 order was wrong & no syrup for French toast. Returned food to server @ 6:34 & got corrected order @ 7p. Salad had actual sand in it not to mention the leaves that were actually slimy. Never offered a drink refill, weren’t checked back on & server wanted to argue with me blaming me for wrong order when I had to tell her what it came with and after my daughter confirmed which option I had chosen. This was the 2nd and last time our experience has been horrible in Kingsville, TX.

Not good service. The hostess sat us and left. We waited a while until someone took our order. The restaurant was not very clean, I kicked a knife while walking to the table. I watched to see if anyone would pick it up, they never did. My sandwich was terrible. I had a turkey sandwich. This place deserves no stars. At one time this was one of the nicest restaurants to eat at. Now I am telling everyone I know to avoid this place. I found beard or pubic hair on my plate under my food, ordered water and was given lemonade, nothing tasted good, the cleanliness of this place is horrible (basically an embarrassment), employees during the evening service (I don't know what it is like during the day time) debate over who will be inconvenienced from their cell phones and gossip to serve a customer, employees using their cell phones in front of customers during their working shift, drinks were bad...tbh, there was not one thing that went well tonight. Nobody sanitizes anything, despite being told that seats and tables are supposed to be between each customer. The place doesn't feel like the air conditioning works (there are portable air humidifiers to help control the mold problem). Further, the attention to a clean place, good customer service, and quality food is a testimony to poor training from management and a complete "I don't care about anyone but a paycheck". If this keeps up, either the lack of customers or the health department will close this place down. [Updated 5/25] nobody from corporate and nobody from the restaurant contacted me or apologized (other than the manager who comped my meal that night). This is exactly why I drive by this place time and time again and see NO ONE in their parking lot. Just close the place down.

My family and I stopped here on our way to Houston for a family trip, and just upon walking on the stench of pee is disgusting.. the restroom are right behind the front counter/ entrance. The smell was so bad my smallest gaged upon entering. What's even more gross is to think how the ajecent wall is to the kitchen; can you imagine the stench of pee, some kinda cleaner, musty humid AC and a hot kitchen.. no thanks.

Didn't even get to sit down. The young lady's Attitude about our party of 10 wanting to be seated together was enough for me to decide not to spend my money there. I won't ever be returning especially since this is not the first incident.

Waited for an hour to get our breakfast, with less than 5 tables in the whole restaurant. Our server disappeared on us, and it took forever to get our check. Whoever is managing this establishment needs to train their employees to learn how to take care of customers properly and with a better attitude. We were super close of walking out. This is the worst service I've ever had in Kingsville and I can now understand why there's hardly ever any customers in the store. Do better!

We asked for water. When they brought it, the waitress said there would be a $1 charge for it. She should have told us when we ordered. I asked for a Southwestern Chicken Burrito Bowl, and received a breakfast bowl instead, with fries. I was not given the option of getting pancakes. The waitress never came back to check on us so I could tell her my order was wrong. My sister was not able to get the free refill on her $1 water. The water from the city of Kingsville is salty, hardly drinkable. If they are going to charge, they should have good water.

I was here on a sunday around 10 am, it was slow and lots of staff standing around doing nothing. I was seated at the very back. My food was over cooked and the fruit was brown. But what really bothered me was the conditions of the condiments on the table. The syrup was hard and dusty. The salt was hard as a rock. Nothing had been touched in quiet a while. That's not how a restaurant should be run.

Mouse in the dining room! Manager admitted they been trying to catch it, no discounts nothing no apologies! Do not go here!

First and last time we visit because as soon as you walk in, you get hit with a musty, moldy, vinegar smell. We got sat in a booth where my husband had to sit close to the edge of the table because the ac vent about the seat was leaking water. The ceiling is full of water stains and drip areas, so we realized why the smell, clearly there's issues with their ac system that they really should take care of because thats definitely not good for customers and especially for the employees having to breathe all of that yucky air. Hopefully their ceiling doesn't fall on top of them!

It was completely empty when we went however, the hospitality was horrible. Our order was taken , drinks were given, and most of our food were given but nobody came to check on us. Everyone stayed in the back. There were no smiles and my pancakes were forgotten until I was about to leave. I haven’t been here in 5 years and regret coming. I still gave a good tip but wish I didn’t. Ridiculous. If I could give no stars I would.

The food was probably the wrost part. food came out cold and my sausage links had a wierd texture to them, my daughters meal came with a side of fruit and the strawberries were moldy. instead of walking out with a full belly after have a good meal, i felt sick and wanted to warn people walking in.

The food was good and our server was very nice but the restaurant itself was extremely dirty. The a/c dripped on me, and when I looked up I noticed mold all over the ceiling tiles across the whole ceiling, when we were handed the menus mine was sticky, the whole entry smelled like a restroom, and my partner order hot tea and was handed a mug with lipstick on it. Like I said extremely nice server and the food was good, was just kind of grossed out the whole time.

Very disappointed with my recent order. I ordered the Smiley Face Pancakes through DoorDash, and they arrived completely plain—no smiley face like shown in the pictures—and the pancakes themselves were dry and overcooked in texture, not soft or fluffy. Even though the syrup and butter were on the side, it didn’t help much. On top of that, my hash browns were missing entirely from the order. I expected better quality and accuracy, especially from a well-known brand like IHOP. I hope this location improves their attention to detail and food preparation.

So I was tired of all the soft serve milkshakes in town and I looked up which restaurants still make milkshakes with real ice cream and as far as in Kingsville only IHOP does. So I went on their website to order some food and a milkshake to go their milkshake price was I believe $9.89 and I was in disbelief but I know everything costs so much more lately so I went ahead and ordered it. Mostly because I had a $5 credit with GrubHub. I also ordered The three buttermilk pancakes for 9 something dollars. I got there when the order said it would be ready it wasn't. After about 10 minutes the pancakes showed up with the server letting me know that the original person who helped me at the counter was making the milkshake for me as we spoke about another 15 minutes later she shows up with a kids to go cup and hands me the milkshake. Strawberry ice cream melted all on the outside of this now dirty, tiny cup. I'm walking back to the hotel with it and I don't even make it out of their parking lot before I pop the lid and see that out of the cup that's equivalent to a can of Coke there's about an inch of milkshake missing and the whole thing is severely melted. More like an ice cream milk soup not shake. I was disgusted and took a picture immediately and couldn't believe that they were charging me $10 for a kids to-go cup of this and decided I was going to make sure I review this. I get up to my hotel room and open up my pancakes. And when I pulled the top one aside and looked like somebody had American pied the middle and bottom pancake. There is no reason for there to be a hole in the middle of a pancake from a restaurant. So I'm trying not to even think about what may or may not have happened to those pancakes. But I do know that my bill was over $20 for three pancakes and a kids sized melted milkshake that had less volume than a can of soda does. I don't know if this is a Texas thing or Kingsville thing or if they were angry because I ordered food on Easter. Regardless, I sure do hope that something positive comes from this. Update: corporate called me and informed me that someone from the restaurant would be calling me within a few days after posting this. No one ever called. No follow up from the store at all. Avoid

Horrible smell of dirty dish water at the front entrance, all the ac vents are all leaking, but don’t worry.. it’s just in the walking path. The same path they use to deliver your food. Definitely a food safety issue. Won’t be coming back.
